I started a comparison feature of familiar high-PoS. The goal is not competition (X is better than Y) but cross-fertilisation (X has feature A but not feature B that Y has; let's add it). Inspiration is the improvement in 3D video card after 3D benchmarks arrived in the 90's. I only added feature that are unambiguously beneficial (bold part, the italic part are just information and prone to change). Proof-of-stake List - Features comparison (it is a multitabbed spreadsheet and this tab is a new one) If people can get a canonical URL for downloading blockchain (and helping newcomers), I'd be happy to mention it on the spreadsheet.

Good job Thank you Unick I added a "Optimal block size" column on Proof-of-stake List - Features comparison. Might be a good idea to delete the entire directory and build from scratch with a new git clone. This is what I did (I am on 1.3.0.0-beta, not v1.3.0.0, I don't know why it did not compile to the latest version). I take quite a lot of time. My trading plan involved selling today, I am not sure I'll be able to... :/ By the way, I started a comparison feature of familiar high-PoS. I added a "Optimal block size" column on Proof-of-stake List - Features comparison. The blockchain location would be great, especially if a canonical URL (an URL that doesn't change) is available. I would mention it for any coin. Thanks for the proposal. But that won't fix the fact the I can't compile 1.3 final.

I also think the 500 coin max limit wont help.What is the optimal block size for HBN? I update the feature comparison list with following column: I added a "Optimal block size" column on the Proof-of-stake List - Features comparison page.

You need to get the latest version from my github (you need to compile from source at this point). git pull && qmake-qt5 growthcoin-qt.pro && make
git pull && qmake-qt4 growthcoin-qt.pro && make
Do not work Makefile:897: recipe for target 'build/coincontroldialog.o' failed I'm on Arch, not Ubuntu

Kussaka and zeewolf, could you investigate if "passing stars" à la Star Wars ( here) could be incorporated in the full-size version of your logo? probably less prominent than in the intial one and only on the full-size (not coinmarket or smaller)? Just to see how it looks like. Thanks.

I have only 1 active connection. Any idea why? Could someone share a growthcoin.conf file?

Vote is over. It was an intense voting, many people (me included) had to change vote several times. This is an evidence of quality designs and quality community. As suggested, some elements of other logo (particularly the ex-aequo runners-up) could be integrated in the final logo, as long as it doesn't lower its quality (best is sometime the ennemy of good). With no further ado, the winner is..... KUSSAKA! Position | Logo | # Voices | Voters | 1 | kussaka, right | 20 | David Latapie (1), moneromoo (2), Trololoh (2), presstab (5), foxy (5), Biomech (5) | 2 | rugrats | 16 | Dexter12 (5), Bumberchute (5), amin22 (5), Trololoh (1) | 2 | zeewolf v2.1 | 16 | David Latapie (3), Hetecon (5), moneromoo (3), Sakura (5) | 3 | zeewolf v2.0 | 9 | David Latapie (1), Bawaler (5), Trololoh (3) | 4 | zeewolf | 3 | StakeHunter (3) | 5 | see360 #4 | 2 | StakeHunter (2) |
Notice, though, that not everyone voted for the right one or the left one, so we'll have to consider this two when creating the final logo. I am sure Kussaka will do its best.

there are now over 250 (or whatever, didn't check) 467+, according to coinreporting.com I have a suggestion for new wallet functionality:
A possibility to sent recurring transfers, like 10 HBN every day to some other wallet until you cancel it, or with an end date that you provide. Would be quite fancy and unique. (as far as I know being a newby) I like it. Plus a automatic HBN-to-flattr payment processor would be great. Far above what HBN is supposed to do payment processing is not HBN's job) but still an interesting thing to consider.

Thank tokyo. Another question for everyone: Having merchants that want to KEEP a coin is what can make it appreciate in value. If they simply accept them and then dump them for btc/usd the value stays the same, or perhaps even decreases. Even bitcoin is not kept by merchants, AFAIK. Accountancy requires fiat, how could they keep BTC? I guess this question has been asked several times, please feel free to point me at any discussion relative to this topic. By the way, I just twittered about allcoins.com and got a +50 votes for HBN as a consequence (new +50 vote tweet initiative). Since HBN is #2, it will probably soon be added (especially if other holders do the same). Then we could move to promoting the second high-PoS (currently CAP). https://twitter.com/davidlatapie/status/488356762689736704Finally, I started a comparison feature of familiar high-PoS. We shouldn't forget that PoS is first meant to protect and carry on the blockchain, so if someone never opens their wallet to support the blockchain, he could be "taxed" for it. +1. Interest is a reward for securing the network and we should never forget that. On a more general note, I believe we should encourage cross-fertilisation amond the high-PoS family (PHS, HBN, GRW, NOBL (soon), CAP, TEK, HYP and maybe others). I think armin22 is considering creating a common website for all these PoS. A "feature comparison list" would help knowing which coin has yet to add which feature. Then a price/interest/number of coin ratio could be used as an incentive for spreading out the investment. Or and could someone give a growthcoin.conf example? I have only one connection on my wallet

Attention to all opensource pool owners. Please check ANN OP ( here) if there is something wrong about your pool or if you want to add something in the notes section (100 char. max if my memory serves me well). Then report to either me or Quanttek for update. Thank you.

I also bought some additional XMR. Sadly, it was less than 0.5 BTC given my really limited economical capabilities. My trading plan involves cashing out from one altcoin tomorrow. Great timing, I hope.

As it stands right now, Monero is just another altcoin -- susceptible to all altcoin problems. Bitcoin is not immune to fudding either. Fudders are just of a higher grade (think Warren Buffet). Everything that succeeds is prone to FUD. Gold, real estate, Internet, science, even mankind. Everything.
