Just check how many addresses with a balance on the blockchain  Considering we have 2,200 subscribers to /r/Monero, I'll assume there are about 5,000 to 7,000 people worldwide interested in Monero as a store of value/transaction. Of course it's all speculation anyway, but I just need a point of reference to calibrate the chart with. Bullshit will beget bullshit in this case. The number can be updated later if needed. In summer 2014, there was already about 7,000 XMR accounts in Poloniex alone. (Even still, I might say that the global number of users is under 10k atm). |

Quarry3 opens :: Other important schedule decisions
Please familiarize yourself with the /NewSchedule tab. It is the first one in the Game DB, and contains the schedule for the near future. More columns will be added to enable others to keep us uptodate of what's happening.
The most important change for now is the Quarry3 subgame. There is an earlier decision to not let the stone price rise uncontrollably, but it has done just that and is now sitting at 200 m/stone (the price at which the peasants can sell it). Quarrying the stone from untouched boroughs is now enabled.
The subgame is not using the NPC's due to version management challenges. Also the drills have rusted, become obsolete or stolen during the turmoils. The new approach to quarrying is wholesale, easy to explain:
- The geology remains at (X, Y, Z):
* X is the topsoil, yielding 300,000 stone
* Y is the cracked stone, yielding 1,200,000 stone
* Z is the hard stone, yielding 1,200,000 stone.
* each number takes the value of [0...9]
- One team costs 420 mil/year and can excavate 7 consecutive tranches (making an average excavation take 2 years)
- The first year a team is employed, only 4 tranches can be excavated due to setup difficulty. (The setup is per team, not per site.)
- Firing the workers costs 120 mil/team extra.
NewCorp is in a good position to start quarrying as it owns 8 of the 9 untouched chapelries in the town. Due to the monopoly position, it has the intention to lower the stone price to 150 m/stone once the first operations yield results in 1602.
Boroughs 6, 8, 9 will be opened in 1605-1607. From then on, we will slowly move to the long term situation, where there are always unsold chapelries for prospective buyers in the outskirts of the Town, for 1,000 mil apiece.

Is XMR dead already?
sooner or later it will be dead anyway. as the old risto said ,there is a very tiny chance that monero will ever be success. but for now we can good gamble with it  Monero can only be a failure if every member of the community abandons it entirely. A comparison with CKG is perhaps in order: CKG is only owned by 94 player characters in the game (corporations excluded since they are owned by the player chars). Of these, - 58 own at least 0.1% of it, - 11 own at least 1.0%, and - 1 owns at least 10%. The market cap is 700,000 XMR, which is 7,446 XMR per PC. If some part of the community leaves, pressuring the market cap down by their sales, it is more than likely that the rest bid up the assets, because otherwise their weekly profit soars too high - it is a competitive market. XMR has interest-bearing usage in the game: the last time bonds were issued, they paid 82% per realyear. CKG is paying dividends, which at the current pace make it earn about 30% per year. The building/repair projects are currently returning about multiples per year. |

Fire strikes Riddick's Teahouse!
Riddick's Teahouse has a large window area, making it important to heat it quite a lot in these late winter months (1601.2 is the first complete winter in the Kingdom). It is not known what happened next but suddenly the building was in flames. Perhaps the engineers could not envision such a heat load and the chimney was deficient. Or something.
This has never happened before, so there was a huge mess in organizing. In wintertime, getting enough water was also funnily difficult. The horse & carriage owners were alarmed to haul the water from the Springs, and finally the fire was put out. Thankfully there were no other houses directly connecting so the damage was contained to the Teahouse. Unluckily, it burned to the ground, with also most of the newly installed windows destroyed and the rest credited to the owner's account (70*WIRS & 160*IC were salvaged). It is not known if the owner had insurance.
(The building struck, and the course of events was determined by die.)
 And I had just bought all those new windows! Around 200+ for the Teahouse. Nevertheless, I am glad to hear that Riddick was unharmed. I will be in need of doing some building soon, haha. Riddick is temporarily residing at Saddam's Castle while he ponders his future plans for the site. "To the ground" was originally thought "collapsed" but the closer inspection reveals that the stone walls are intact although at a bad repair, and a repair project is sufficient to make the whole structure good again. Also the WIRS and IC are credited to Riddick's account. Thanks belongs to the carriage owners who only were capable to bring enough water in (and that there were no adjacent buildings) - otherwise the damage could have extended much further  Tavastia, who lives nearby and visited the place often, is astounded of the bad luck and donates 5 mil to the repairs, wishing that there could be an insurance company to take care of these. (We are seeking for a townwide insurance provider.) |

Town Council Elections
Rules say that 6 Councillors need to be elected, and they decide the rules.
The electors are the CKG holders, so that each holder may give any part of his gold votes to support a candidate. Each candidate with 142,858 votes is secured and once 6 candidates are secured, the vote ends. Electors may change their support at any time while the election is ongoing.
Town Council elections are periodical, and now is a good period to hold one, since 1 councillor passed away and another has taken a journey to faraway lands.
We the King have about 485,000 votes and support the existing councillors to continue. We are interested in hearing about the new candidates!
Councillors' duties are quite high level, and they need to be active in playing to be able to contribute.
There is currently no compensation for the post, but has been in the past and might be in the future.

Round Table House 1st Building Phase CompletedThe Ancient Fellowship of the Knights of the Round Table has given the green light to start erecting the Clubhouse. The first Building Phase is 3,244 sqm, which includes the basement which will be covered with the courtyard, and the partial face towards the Esplanade (east). To be able to commission the Round Table (diameter 14 m) and the 50 chairs, a "Huge Set" is needed, which costs 200 IC in Most Elaborate and 500 IC in Very Elaborate. The Fellowship is accepting donations of IC for this purpose, and for the other items that might be wanted. The features of the House so far: - 7-8 m high 4 m wide main windows in the main floor (3rd floor if basement is 0th) and the entrance floor (1st) - 11 m high entrance hall & long hall (38 m long) - taxable roofline at 26 m, planned highest height 37 m - 470 sqm Museum with Esplanade access - no entry to the high premises of the Fellowship - 606 sqm Wine Cellars - 19 rental units with street/lane access - 3 m wide square spiral main staircase rises 11 m - staircase hall is 21 m high - lux in the main floors is 200% and windows WIAS - windows (WIASS) also in other parts. Vodka enters the Kingdom
Due to the shortage of interest in acquiring the famed Methuselah rum, King's oldtime favorite, the Adventure has been postponed to be resolved in 1604. The 1602 spirit will be the traditional Vodka instead.
Vodka is the only spirit that has been produced locally. We have now 2 types of vodka, VOH is historical vodka that was coerced to come into light from the cellars of the restaurants by promising 50% off the spirits tax (restaurant owners have received 20*#_of_employees*VOH, and charged 50,000 m/bottle). VOD is the newly produced stuff that the town is selling at 140,000 m/bottle.
"Only" 11,260 bottles of VOH exist, and no more can be made because it is made from pre-Earthquake good water, which does not exist any more.

Zoning notice concerning 1-N
The chapelry 1-N is the first area in the Town to be about fully constructed. We are now freezing the building situation there by declaring all buildings to be under Old Buildings Authority supervision, so that each of them is an example of its architecture, no matter ugly or beautiful. No changes shall be made to anything without the Deputy prior permission.
To resolve the financial grievances that may arise as some have not built their lands and may experience a loss for not being able to do so, we propose the following:
H2 is owned by the Church. It will be left a sandy field which can be used for playing petanque, and everyone will be grateful to the Church.
The North Gate may become crowded in the future as it is narrow. 1-NE-T48 is made a road instead, which can in the future connect to the B.4.
J12 is bought by the Town from its previous owner (Estate of sXpher) at the appraised price of 180 mil/q and made a paved street.
J14 is bought by the Town from its previous owner (Mistress Leila Liekki) at the appraised price of 150 mil/q and made a paved street.
J16 is bought by the King from its previous owner (Estate of sXpher) at the appraised price of 300 mil/q and remains a park, with the provision that King may build a wine cellar there to complete the likeness of Royal Palace of Malla with the IRL Malla Manor.
The Public Notice Period is 24 hours, after which the changes will go into force.

The Ancient Fellowship of the Knights of the Round Table
The Fellowship consists currently of 10 members, the Knights. We have acquired a large 36 q tract of land in 5-N. The construction of the RT House there could be started. Situation:
- Plans are ready, to be customized to partial construction if needed;
- We only have 1,070 mil in the bank, only enough for partial construction;
- Window situation in the Kingdom is dire; in 1602 there could be an opportunity to amass enough, but frame construction can happen in 1601;
- Pool payouts are good, supportive of quick action to tap into them;
- The Hypothecary Bank is willing to give 6mo loan at 0.32%, so that the sum is 500 mil for the land and half of the actual building cost;
- It is also possible to wait with the property and invest in CKG to hope for increase;
- Accepting new Knights who would bring in more money is not possible yet.

It is truly a sad, sad day...
My friends, I come to you with terrible news. My close friend, Lord sXpher, has passed on to the next realm, having been taken by his illness in the night.
I am at a loss as to what to do. This tragedy came so unexpectedly, and it has left me torn and deeply saddened. All of our plans and hopes and dreams are now in ruins, and I feel listless with no desire to carry on.
I need to regain my strength and my energy, my friends.
For this reason, I am going to undertake a journey, to bring Lord sXpher's body to a place of rest where he can be buried according to the customs of his ancestors. I do not know how long my journey will take, or what I will find on the journey, but I do know I have to do this for my friend, and for myself.
In my absence I am relinquishing my position on the town council, to be replaced by vote at HM the King's discretion. In addition I am appointing the noble and honourable SirJacket, HH of the North Face, and his heirs, to manage my estate. As the onus of dissolving Lord sXpher's estate falls to me, I am passing this duty on to SirJacket.
I have no doubt I will return a healed man, with stories of wonder and intrigue from distant lands, but for the moment I must leave you and go on this journey of solace. I bid you farewell, my friends, and I look forward to our reunion!
Everyone in the Kingdom has been eagerly anticipating the fruits of the development conducted in the laboratories lead by these two noblemen (even though the laboratories have been a closely held secret, not even the King has been allowed to go in except with guard), over the decades, at enormous costs (the rumor says). These developments have been aiming at the improving the foreign relations and technology in the Kingdom, making it possible to accept many more citizens in the Town. Now at the loss of Lord sXpher and the mourning period of Sir Riccardo, HE The Prince of Forte Spagnolo, these developments will have to be discontinued. No further costs to the Town will be incurred from them, leaving the Town in a good financial position with a large warchest. The Kingdom is still pursuing the developments opening a grand future for all the present and future townspeople (and later - people in other towns as well). The Wizard Developer has concentrated hard to deliver accomplishments that will continue to amaze. The year 1602.4 (thursday, next week) is estimated to be the time when the game can migrate to a new platform, with a part of the things still happening in the google DB. If no further decisions are made in the Town Council, the pool distribution will be as follows from now on: Most payments by the characters, mainly building costs --> 100% Special Services Pool Certain payments by the characters --> 100% Town Special Services Pool (end_of_year) --> 50% Town; 50% Rental Pool Town (end_of_year) --> 85% gold dividends; 15% retained Rental Pool (end_of_year) --> 15% pool payouts; 85% retained (Development Pool has 24,249 mil and does not need new funds at the moment)This is estimated to lead to 2,000-4,000 m gold dividends and 2,000-3,000 m rental pool payouts per year (realweek). The economy of the Kingdom is steadily picking up, as can be seen from the following figures as well: The liquidity of the characters (sumtotal of non-King, non-Town characters T_MON accounts) has increased from 8,000 mil in 1550-1570 period to 24,000 mil now. The system accounts have swollen from 17,000 mil to 39,000 mil in the same period. There is now also the King's Coinshop, with a balance of 30,000 mil, which absorbs the character liquidity (excess liquidity tends to flow to gold) and releases the liquidity (selling gold is a way to get m, usable for many purposes). The economy is balanced to a dynamic equilibrium, unlike the economies in some of the foreign countries, which are intentionally designed to not seek equilibrium but rather a breaking point and misery for the people. Barons' Row 2 - 18. Town builds a Townhouse in 1-NE-T42...T46. These lots were originally saved to be sold for aspiring new nobles at high prices. The cost of a 2q lot and a townhouse, with architecture fees, would however be prohibitive. So we decided to take advantage of the Ultima feature of freely customizable lot shape, and make the 1,000 sqm area divided to 9 lots, cutting the costs. This requires that the construction is coordinated, which has also the benefit of further decreasing the price. These beauties will be constructed soon and fully furnished with windows and 60% lux soon after. They are about 150 sqm units each in their own lot (a slice of the whole). Prices start at about 300 mil. One end of the House is 50 m from King's Park, the other end is 50 m from Culture Square. Baron's Row serves almost exclusively these units, and does not have other traffic. The views to the south are all the way to El Bulli, over unbuilt lots. This is a seriously exclusive place to live in, and Lord Thud is moving in promptly.
Prince of OZ, this design fits very well in the 1-NW-N1...N4, which are of same size and shape and facing. If it pleases your eye, we can give the architecture at half the price, and there would be the added benefit of having both houses located symmetrically relative to the obelisk, which might give them special energies. The address would be Expert Village Lane 13-29, with views to the Two Springs and the new Wizard Castle.

Official Notice The Mausoleum of the Marquess of Arda constructed; the Estate wants to be dissolved
The first man to die in the Kingdom, the Marquess of Arda, has been buried to his beloved haw, near the Botanical Gardens. The mausoleum is aboveground, quite small and simple in appearance.
The Marquess' Estate has held many auctions in the past and the proceeds have been given to the Monero developers according to his spoken will. Yet there still remains a very large hoard of 10 kilos of gold and other valuables, almost 10,000 mil in total. We would give the Estate to the complete control of Monero developers to do what they wish with the remaining funds. (It has to be noted that this donation is larger than anything recorded in the cAPSLOCK XMR HoF.)
Please appoint the manager for the Estate.
