I am trying to mine with 'cryptonote-easy-miner' but it fails and says "Invalid Address Used for Login"

What does that mean?

Ahhhh thats just bullying now there is even articles on in today.

Fukcing awesome!

I didn't think this matter would end up anywhere outside this forum, and next thing you know it's on TechCrunch! Grin

Will this become the most famous pizza of all time?? Which leads me to wonder what is the most famous pizza of all time?

Of course this is the most famous pizza now.

I already proposed we put a wax model of this pizza in Madame Tussaud Museum Cheesy

For the past decade or so, Jean Claude van Damme has been starring mostly in crappy movies. But a notable exception was the 2003 movie, In Hell. One of his best movies, to this date.

Have you ever seen the movie The Mist?  Creepy movie, really good though, at least I thought so.

So yeah, thats another movie recommendation.  Anything Stephen King is usually awesome!

Both movies added to my watchlist; thanks for recommending!

What if someone made a computer script that automatically created addresses and checks the balances?
It's already been done.
Source?
FUD

Nope.  Not FUD.  The script was written and made public in 2012.  It doesn't matter.  2160 is a very big number.  Bigger than many people seem to be able to comprehend.

OK, I apologize for my comment.

This is somewhat similar to that site directory.io

Anyone could create N number of public address / private keys but the total number is so huge there's almost zero chance of someone finding an actual public-private combination that is in use by someone else.

i wouldnt be making fun of him, he did the first transaction so he deserves some credit for the success of bitcoin, also i think he is still rich.. if he spent 10,000 btcs for one pizza he surely had like 50,000 at that point, even if he now has only 1,000 he owns half a million dollars..

Well his easy to find public account shows that alot of money moves with this man.

So its not hard to believe he has alot saved up somewhere.

NOPE.

Read this: http://codinginmysleep.com/stealing-bitcoins-the-hardest-way/

Lets say you build a super ASIC on 12nm (4 generations ahead of current tech) process that could create, validate, and steal one trillion key pairs per second (1 TK/s). That would be about 50,000x more powerful than faster GPU’s today. Lets also say you built a thousand of them and ran them continually with no downtime 24/7/365. In 1 year you could brute force 3*10^28 possible addresses.
If there are 1 quadrillion funded addresses you would still have a ~1% chance of colliding with a random funded address in the next 1,000 years.
Comparatively speaking, your odds of being struck by lightning are about 1 in 280,000, so you’re about 500,000,000,000,000,000,000 times more likely to be struck by lightning than to find an address within the first year. Since that’s also a big number, the odds are equivalent to being struck by lightning about 4.6 times in your lifetime

Man struck by lightning 7 times.

The odds of becoming a lightning victim in the U.S. in any one year is 1 in 700,000
The odds of being struck in your lifetime is 1 in 3,000

I'm sure the Godzilla's powerhouse muscles gives him godly powers so that he can swim, run or even fly (we have yet to see this Tongue ) to any part of the world in minutes.
And since Godzilla exhales fire, I'm sure he can beat hyenas.

After all, 'God' in 'Godzilla' stands for something, right? Tongue

Notice the question mark at the end. Well-worn tabloid technique, and obvious attempt to pump this coin on its new exchange.

I asked the same question yesterday.  This forum seems like the obvious place to ask (for people like me who aren't smart enough to analyze a blockchain.)

But you read it somewhere, right? I'm just asking for a link to the reference.

The premine coins have been implied in a scam.  Will you withdraw them from circulation like you said you would, or not?

Nobody said anything about 'withdrawing' those coins. They said the pre-mined coins are in 'cold wallet'

2054  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Two SCAM coins you should be aware of: AimCoin and Universalcoin on: May 21, 2014, 12:08:47 PM
I don't label something as trustworthy unless I verify the legitimacy.
At the same time, I don't label something as scam unless I verify illegitimacy.

So I may steer clear of these coins, but that does not mean I would label them as scam yet

As a long term client of BTC-E, whom I'm a great fan of btw, after doing a good six figures USD worth of trades there yesterday I opened a support ticket to request that they added Darkcoin, they replied today, which I quote in full (sik), and it seems that this isn't going to be happening, certainly not in the foreseeable future anyway:

Hello

no planed

maybe they mean "No"... like don't worry about it  "planed" like it's planned, in the plans already.

Looks more like "Not Planned"  Angry

is it possible to manipulate a new wallet address (read: generate one by yourself and not a random one) by experts ? or is it 100% safe

You can't manipulate it; it's completely safe
2058  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Two SCAM coins you should be aware of: AimCoin and Universalcoin on: May 21, 2014, 11:47:31 AM
Thanks for the heads up!

I've never heard of AimCoin and will never invest in it.

UniversalCoin is making some heads turn, it would be worth watching how it goes. The two main features (minimum value and anti-theft) are promising but it is unclear how the devs are going to implement these features.

Hello everyone,

I have just started setting up cgminer to see what kind of results I could generate for SCRYPT based coins but I'm not entirely sure I can even mine then without purchasing additional computer components..

Thank you!

You don't have a dedicated graphics card; you're trying to mine on integrated motherboard graphics, which is a bad idea.

If you have a high-end CPU, and if you're not looking to spend anything, try mining CPU-only coins like Bytecoin [BCN] with your CPU.

I see, thank you for clearing it up for me, I doubt my CPU is anything 'high-end' but may invest in a GFX card at somepoint

GPU mining for Scrypt is going to be outdated soon, ASIC hardware are already released.
I would advise buying a NVIDIA 750Ti and mining X11 coins like DarkCoin [DRK]
