Is anything BUT PACMiC v2 worth buying on Hashnest at this time?

Do some math and draw your own conclusions.  No one here (or anywhere for that matter) will be able to give you any better estimate than your own.

$1129 ..... by eck! They can't have that strong weed down that end .. surely not.

<Seinfeld "I'm out" .gif>

Agreed, that is a bit egregious of a price, and we don't even know if that is with shipping or not (my guess is probably not).  Then everything else you need to run the miner.

I have also not gotten an email response in two days about running a group buy.  I guess for this first batch they are more concerned with people who will buy and use all 100 units instead of having to gather the money from others.  My guess is that they have quite a bit of interest from some big time miners who can buy 100+ units at a time and don't need to bother with the little guy.
2043  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [Value Check] Casascius signed B on: June 25, 2015, 04:13:11 PM
I'm actually very interested in this, how much are you looking to get for it?

It is so unique I have no idea what it is even worth honestly. I really doubt that I would ever sell it, but feel free to make an offer! I have sent a message to Mike to see if he would comment on it and provide some additional info to us.

Took - lol the table is over 15' long so shipping might be pricey!

Edit: I was going to get people fired up and picture it next to the famous WoodCollector BTC - fun fact: All of the WoodCollector pieces were based off of that Casascius BTC (dimension wise)

Oh man that WoodCollector thing was crazy.  I purchased one of his pieces (not a wooden "B", but a unique piece), I wonder if any of his work have any value?  Sorry for hijacking your thread, was just curious.

Hi.
I need a little help please...
Is it normal to see your wallet balance get lower instead of getting higher?!  Huh

With my cloud miner Antminer S5 I see that on today's block the maintenance fee if higher that the earning?!
On several block's this happened today!

Please advise

It depends on the pool luck.  If a block takes longer to find, then you will owe more for power and maintenance fees than the payout was.

Okay.
Thanks you.
It seems I have been having lots of bad luck...
And the back luck keeps on arriving.

I cant find the shutdown button lol Smiley it would be cheaper to turn it off

Are you sure of a negative balance with S5 ? One day of bad luck could happen sometimes, I'm in S5 by one month (before i owned UMISO and S3) now, with good earnings, but from 25 of may till today, never happened to have one day of negative balance (i check the balance one time a day), so in the long run you are not loosing.....

But if you think that this investment is no more profitable for you sell the power on the market....  Grin Grin Grin

Yes I'm sure.
I copied some values to show, they are above.
I'll wait and see. No panic Smiley
But was and still is weird to see fee higher than income...

Its normal, yesterday was a higher luck day, so your balance should not be positive.
2045  Other / Archival / Re: Pictures of your mining rigs! on: June 25, 2015, 02:14:39 PM
wish i got into mining the first time i heard of bitcoin... i would have tens and tens, maybe hundred of videocards Cheesy Grin
Or you could be like me who learned in 2010 and mined a couple tenths on his laptop, oh damn how I wish I would have bought 5$ worth of coins instead of spending it on a fourloco (damn you college!)

Or me, who did the same, but used my computer for folding at home instead of bitcoin.

Well I got an email back overnight from them.  There wasn't much additional information that they haven't already stated here.  I responded with a few more questions, such as price, but my confidence is waning as I really don't want to have to go through the hassle of a group buy when we have no idea what the products are like (especially if no one will be allowed to review them).

They don't seem to have a price in mind per unit yet, which will make it hard to start a group buy and fill 100 units before they are sold out of this original, "limited batch".  I assume by the time pricing is released and a group buy is filled with 100 units, they will probably be sold out.

Will keep you guys posted if/when I hear more.
2048  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Sfards: SF100-the first 28nm Dual-Mode Miner gets into mass production on: June 24, 2015, 04:14:18 AM
But I have no need to review one others can do good reviews.

OgNasty doe review and gb. Simples.

Dogie do no two review.

We have expressed that no one cares about your opinion and sfards will choose who they want to anyway.  your not needed here.  If your goal is to level the account up with posts and sell it I suggest you stop as I will leave neg trust for being annoying and not furthering the conversation if you post nonsense again.

Go right ahead. me its included in my lease agreement so I am not stealing so there is no crime.

do whatever floats your boat.

i would check over that lease agreement.
im guessing somewhere in there it says that if your power increases too much your rent will go up or you will get kicked out.

only an idiot would rent out a place and not put something in there like that.

Even if its not specifically stated, there are fair use precedents. For example set by the guy who was selling 'his' free electricity back to the network to collect a cheque, to pay the rent.

You probably also signed saying you wouldn't run a business out of your unit.  This could probably qualify as a business and get you in trouble.
2051  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HASHNEST Discussion and Support Thread on: June 23, 2015, 11:27:44 PM
It seems to me that the S4 market hash is more profitable than the S5, perhaps due to the cheaper per hash price...

According to conwarz calculator, S4, at current hash rates of 0.00086799 BTC at $245 per BTC, the S4 is supposed to break even in 252.63 days and make profit of $613.09 after one year. That's $187.77 profit after break even.
187.77 / 424.34 = 44.25% profit, the first year.
http://www.coinwarz.com/calculators/bitcoin-mining-calculator/?h=2000.00&p=1400.00&pc=0.0976&pf=0.00&d=49692386354.89380000&r=25.00000000&er=245.00000000&hc=424.34

On the other hand the S5 market price hash of 0.00145 BTC, the S5 is supposed to break even after 283.18 Days and make profit of $528.47. That is a profit of $118.47 after break even.
118.47 / 410 = 28.90% profit the first year.
http://www.coinwarz.com/calculators/bitcoin-mining-calculator/?h=1155.00&p=590.00&pc=0.10&pf=0.00&d=49692386354.89380000&r=25.00000000&er=245.00000000&hc=410

Am I correct?

You need to account for the fact that the S5 will last longer than the S4.  So once the S4 is shut down, the S5 will continue to hash, and I actually deleted my original spreadsheet, but for a fair bit longer than the S4.  But, based on my calculations, the S5 is a better choice.  Now we have had some difficulty changes and price changes and I would have to do my calcs, but I would bet that the S5 is still the better deal.

Although something I did not totally account for was resale value.  This could play a big part, but shipping costs are also important.  Do I understand it correctly that it is a $50 shipping fee when the miners are finally shipped to you?  Is that the amount for both the S4 and the S5?

You will want an official answer but I think the 50 dollars is a handling fee, then you have a shipping fee on top.  I could be wrong but it makes it cost prohibitive anywhere outside of China unless you have free electric pretty much.  Then again if you had free electric you wouldn't have cloud Smiley

Anyways just a heads up that you will want to make sure if that is 50  shipping or 50 handling + shipping.

Edit ---

Hardware Redemption: a) When the contract is terminated, you may choose to have the physical hardware shipped to yourself; b) 1155 GH/s = one S5 machine; c) Users must bear shipping and handling cost of having machines sent to them; d) User is purchasing used hardware, the quality and hashrate of miners delivered to users cannot be guaranteed

But maybe that is total of 50?  Another reason I think the 50 is just the handling is because the shipping cost would be very different from an s2 or s4 versus a s5 or s3.  Different weights and dimensions.

I started reading the contract a little closer.  And you seem to be right that the $50 is a handling fee only (What a ripoff in the first place).  Then you have to pay for actual shipping costs as well.  If they are anything like Bitmain's shipping, it will be around another $40 per unit.  So, once the hardware is not profitable to run anymore, it will cost you another at least $90 just to ship it to you.  Then if you want to sell it, you will have to pay shipping again, which in the U.S. I have found to be around $25 per unit.  That brings the total to about $115 per unit, just to break even once it is not profitable to run anymore.  And that is just the S5.

The S4 will cost the $50 handling fee, then, as per Bitmain's website, another roughly $125 to ship it to you.  I have shipped S2's around the U.S. for about $60 per unit, so once that is added on it is $185 per unit.

We can compare the future value of the S5 to the current value of the S3 which is going for about $120 on Amazon.  Once you subtract out fees charged by Amazon, it is actually cheaper to just let Hashnest keep the miner, then having to pay for shipping and handling fees.

I thought the shipping after contract expiration applies only to purchased S5 from the contracts section, doesn't it? Does it also apply to buying hashes from the market?

No it applies to any hash that you can buy on their market.  When you are buying hash, you are buying a part of an actual machine.  If you have enough hash to cover an entire machine, they will let you have one if you pay for the shipping and handling fees.

Think I'd rather pay for it.

Go right ahead. me its included in my lease agreement so I am not stealing so there is no crime.

so if you rather pay go ahead.

There has been a lot of talk about what that means.  Usually it is limited to reasonable levels of power use.  I would wager that if you started maxing out every circuit in the place, your landlord would not be happy and would make you pay for it. (At the very least, make you pay for it one way or another, they can always add extra fees here and there when they feel like it).

I would love to run a group buy for these units but would only do so with Sfards' blessing.
This would be the very best! OgNasty definitely has the skill and reputation to run a group buy, Sfards needs to give their blessing ASAP!

I would also be interested in setting up a U.S. based Group Buy.  If someone from sfards would like to make a comment on this I can go ahead and start arranging one.

Betcoin Sports Mystery Jackpots Explained

http://www.betcoin.ag/files/betcoin/images/mystery_jackpot_part_01_0049.jpg

Sports Mystery Jackpots Explained

Mystery Jackpots give you the chance to win additional chips , even if you don't have any winning selections! Payouts wont affect your game play or the Jackpots amounts. To win a Mystery Jackpot you just need to start placing bets , and if you are the lucky one then you will be immediately credited with the amount you have won , just from placing any bet on our system.

What shall I do to win a Mystery Jackpot?

Mystery Jackpots pay out randomly on any sports bet placed on the website.

How exactly Mystery Jackpots work?

1. Each Mystery Jackpot is assigned a minimum and maximum value.
2. The jackpot is guaranteed to pay out somewhere between the maximum and minimum value as determined by our Random Number generator.Any user will win before the maximum value is reached!
3. Each time you bet, your bet could be the one that triggers a Mystery Jackpot payout.
4. Pop-out message will appear to inform you about the amount you have won!

How can I know when the Jackpot will fall?

Jackpots are constantly filling up from all bets made on the website. No one actually knows when the Mystery Jackpot will fall and what the exact amount will be.Everything is based on your luck..... That is why it is called Mystery , and it is why we are full with surprises for our customers.

Does my bets selections has to be winners?

No.Any placed bet can fire up the Mystery Jackpot. We present you with a great chance to walk out with extra chips without even hitting a winning combo.

What are the ranges of the amounts I can win?

You can hit the Mystery Jackpot in the following ranges (mBtc) :

1. Silver Mystery : mBtc 5 - 50.
2. Gold Mystery : mBtc 100 - 500
3. Platinum Mystery : mBtc 1000 - 3000.

Don't forget that every bet you place gives you bigger chance to win the Mystery Jackpot , and there is no minimum bet amount!

Good Luck!

Do I get a chance for every bet made or per ticket?  If I have 5 bets on a ticket is it the same chance as making 5 different bets?

Also, the gold and platinum mystery prizes say that the payout is between 100 - 500 and 1000 - 3000 respectively, but the counters are only at roughly 94 and 38 credits respectively.  Does this mean that neither of them have a chance of hitting until they pass that threshold, or should they have started at higher beginning balances instead of starting over at 0?
