1121  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Halving on: June 08, 2016, 03:10:27 PM
Usually I do not like to give my opinion on price movements, so take what I am about to say with a grain of salt...

In my opinion, there is currently enough fiat being pumped into bitcoin daily that we are seeing a pretty stagnant/rising price with 25 bitcoins being added to the total pool every 10 minutes.  Soon that number will drop and we can assume the amount of fiat being pumped in daily will remain the same or increase.  So supply will decrease, and demand will stay the same or increase, which can only do 1 thing to the price.

You need to do some research on casino's and what it means when a casino has negative and positive EV.  Basically, the casino is always going to win in the long run, and we can prove that with math.  Do some research and educate yourself on why a casino is in business and can continue to be in business.  Only use a casino for entertainment and never gamble more than you can lose.

1128  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Halving on: June 06, 2016, 07:18:15 PM
Bitcoin halving refers to the point every 210,000 blocks where the reward for finding a bitcoin block is cut in half.  this happens roughly every 4 years.  When bitcoin was first released, a found block would reward the finder with 50 bitcoins, currently it is 25 bitcoins, and in a few weeks it will be 12.5 bitcoins.

As far as what this will do to the price, there are hundreds of people all with varying views on what this means, so you should have plenty of reading material to form your own opinion.

Why on earth would anyone sell 1 btc for $120 less than market rate?  This is obviously a spam post, best to shut it down before you negative feedback for being a troll.

I am getting a bunch of new customers through localbitcoins, more so than in any period in the last 2 years.  There is definitely more and more people learning about it and wanting in.
1135  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Is the halving date actually known? on: June 03, 2016, 09:08:00 PM
Those are either based on finding a block every 10 minutes (no network growth) or they are using the current difficulty trend somehow to predict the date.  The actual halving will occur when 210,000 blocks have passed since the previous halving (420,000 blocks total).  There is still a few weeks for machines to come online and shorten that time, so it will be around there, but probably not exact as those sites are saying.  We will get a better and better picture of when it will be as we approach the halving.
1136  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: how to identify bitcoin a property while you married or devoced on: June 03, 2016, 05:06:34 PM
I assume your wondering what happens when someone gets divorced if the assets are hidden in btc?  Technically, you must disclose your assets and as such, should let the other party know about them.  If the married couple talked finances at all (like myself and my wife) the other party would know anyone that they have assets in bitcoin, which would make lying about them hard.  If you haven't told your significant other about your assets, it is still risky to try and lie and if they looked through bank records and noticed amounts coming out for various reasons every month, it wouldn't be too hard to track down what you were buying.

Basically, just disclose all your assets to avoid further troubles.

Hi everyone, do you know if there's a way on hashnest S7 market to place fixed sales orders (for instance if prices drops to xxxx amount then sell everything). Thanks guys!

They do not have functionality like this yet.  You can only put in an order for a certain price, its a very limited trading system.
