I have spoken to Cygan several times and also publicly stated that the 2 mBTC reward is a temporary measure, a kind of goodwill gesture from Betnomi, since at the time of the launch of football pools, the free bet feature had not yet been implemented (when creating Betnomi pools, it was explicitly stated in the rules and discussions that free bets would only be awarded when the feature was fully functional). Despite this, Cygan managed to negotiate with Betnomi that the participants in this pool would receive rewards in bitcoins. There is nothing similar for other Betnomi pools.

That should have been communicated better tbh. Currently, it feels like users are being punished for winning late in the season. Especially because the turnover requirements of 2 games + 1.60 odds significantly reduce the true value of the free bet. It is therefore strange that some users are credited with 0.002 BTC, whereas the free bet later has a significantly lower value. But anyway, so be it. Your pools, your rules. Would love better communication next time, but I am sure Betnomi will improve here.

However, I see that Cygan announced yesterday that your winnings are already in the account and I think that you could just write to him to sort out the situation, instead of yelling, at least that's what I would do (in the sense that that I would have friendly pointed out the mistake in PM).

But that's not who I am. And in addition to that I am not yelling. I am speaking out straight: In the positive (my Betnomi review, which is 2 days old) as well as in the negative. I am not someone who settles things around the back and somehow tries to make a deal for myself. If I have something to say, I will say it out loud, for everyone. Even if it will hurt me (like these posts I guess). But that's who I am and that won't change.

As for the Champions League pool... when listing the winners, Bitcoin was in the $17,000 range, (0.002 btc + rounding up) but the main thing I missed was that the entry price for the CL pool was slightly higher than other pools. I will correct this error when I send Betnomi the next list of yellow caps.

Okay. I don't really understand what you mean here but the CL OP says there is a $50 freebet.

Betnomi will also be keeping up the old tradition where each yellow cap will be awarded a $50 free bet.

And thats all I am asking for. I am not asking for a special treatment or any bonus. Just when you say thats the prize, and I win, I will ask for the price. I don't think thats bad. Especially since I won like months ago.

Anyway, let's stop this mess right here. Its pretty sad that I currently wish I hadn't won at all, because I wouldn't have to sit here on a friday night to clear this mess. So just credit me whatever you want, I honestly don't care anymore. If you think that I shouldn't get the free bets anymore because I spoke, that's okay too.

Have a nice evening guys.

I'll leave it here in case anyone missed it (as far as I understand, this is a combined list from several pools).
~

I am also missing $50 from the Champions League yellow cap win. See here.

In addition, $131 is missing from the Bundesliga pool (I only got credited $30, while it should be $211 from both pools BL and CL combined). See this post.

So there are about $181 missing...

Meine Freiwette hat nur einen Wert von $30...

Eigentlich sollten es doch 0.007 BTC (0.002 BTC Spieltagssieg + 0.005 BTC Herbstmeister Bundesliga Tippspiel) sein. Was ungefähr $161 wären.

Quelle: CMC Calculator

Roll Eyes

I don't really know. The odds are really tempting but not realistic for me at the moment. There was a draw in the first half of this season (1:1) but with the current performance I see RB Leipzig clearly ahead
Maybe they just had a small dip in their form but the table should not be ignored.

You're right, pretty tempting and that's why I just placed my bet, haha. I know a RB win is much more realistic, but @4.8 draw just sounded too good.  Cheesy

And to be serious: It's pretty unlikely, but IMHO Stuttgart will do everything not to slip into the relegation spots. That's why points are urgently needed and they will get one important point against Leipzig. Pretty sure, haha.  Tongue

In addition, there are a few more games at the weekend, let's see whats on the table:

Source: Google, Bundesliga Matchday 18

Cheers to an exciting Bundesliga weekend. Let's see if my FC Bayern can finally win again.
2069  Other / Meta / Re: This forum has resources to make significant changes on: January 26, 2023, 10:56:22 PM
~

The forum already has a long-term project that won't be finished any time soon. I honestly really doubt we need another one.

You have already mentioned the points - there is a lot of hard work involved. Searching for material for courses, writing courses and then having them reviewed/controlled by 3rd parties.
There are surely other and especially smaller things that could be done by theymos with much less effort. But the past has shown that changes are reduced to the minimum.  Roll Eyes

I would still be happy about such courses under the right conditions. Let's see...

Agree. Before looking for a new project that consumes additional resources, time and money one should perhaps first focus on more urgent points if one want to improve Bitcointalk. I mean there are plenty of points on the table... just thinking of the new forum software or a mobile version that lets you create posts on the go.

Or maybe a new local board to start off easy?
2070  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: German Bundesliga Season 22/23 - Discussion & Prediction Thread on: January 26, 2023, 10:13:33 PM
Unfortunately, I wasn't too lucky with my tips for the 25th of January. Got half right and half wrong, but the odds did not helped me and ended up not recovering the initial investment.

Too bad buddy. What are you picks for the next matchday? I guess you're betting again, right?

RB Leipzig vs. VfB Stuttgart tomorrow X @4.80 sounds pretty interesting too me. As inconsistent as Leipzig has performed so far, I think the game could well end in a draw.

I think Brooks would be an additional solution for a club at the moment, right?

Pretty excited to see Brooks back in the Bundesliga again, tbh. IMHO, he significantly strengthens Hoffenheim's defence and I can also imagine that he will already be in the starting line-up on Saturday.

I mean, he knows the Bundesliga, is an experienced central defender and hopes to get more playing time after his time in Benfica.

In general: Guys please make sure that you participate in the discussion. Don't quote yourself, quote others and talk to each other.
2071  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽️ Betnomi.com ⚽️ Bundesliga Football Pool Discussion Thread 2022/2023 on: January 26, 2023, 09:54:45 PM
Probably my free bet has not been credited yet, but here is my stupid question anyway. How do I use free bet on Betnomi page? Just make a ticket and then option appears somewhere near the stake buttons? Or do I have to activate something?

No worries, you're not the only one who didn't know what to do. I won a freebet during the World Cup and had some trouble finding it too.

The freebet feature is still relatively new and I think Betnomi will improve it in the future. I can imagine that the freebet will sooner or later be found under the "Bonuses" menu (where RakeBack and CashBack are also found). At least that's what I suggested in the review campaign.

Apart from that, we have great support here in the forum with @betnomi @icopress & of course @cygan, who have always been great at helping with questions.  Smiley

Guys, I finally received my Ledger that I won in contest. Shipping took a bit longer than I expected, but better later than never Smiley. There isn't just wallet in the package, but also they added few nice stickers. Here is few photos of it

Congrats buddy. Looks dope!

with a strong 21 points Trofo won the matchday yesterday and also climbed up 4 places (now to second place)

What a match day. Holy sh*t, congrats @Trofo for the good picks. I really thought I was doing pretty good, but 21 points. Not bad buddy.

However, it's only 3 points boys. I am coming for you.  Cheesy

Really suprised how well I am doing in this pool, I have watched just a couple of games in this whole season so I expected results like I have in La liga or Serie A.

Or maybe you are secretly a Bundesliga expert and have followed all the games without telling us.  Tongue
2073  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: German Bundesliga Season 22/23 - Discussion & Prediction Thread on: January 26, 2023, 12:18:53 PM
as reported today by the german sports magazine kicker, the transfer of Konrad Laimer (rb leipzig) to bayern münchen has now been completed. the austrian international is considered to be Julian Nagelsmann's desired player and will then move on a free transfer after the end of this season

I had already read a few weeks ago that Laimer had a great interest in a Bayern transfer next summer. Pretty interesting that the transfer went so quickly in the end. But honestly it's starting to get pretty tough when it comes to the Bayern midfield. Top-class players everywhere. It will be pretty exciting to see whether some players leave the club in the summer and ofc who will be in the starting squad next season.

Source: transfermarket.com, Bayern

thus one can now also claim that bayern remains true to its strategy and continues to weaken the competition... Tongue

Haha, the everlasting argument of Bayern's opponents: Bayern buys the top players of the closest rivals in order to weaken them.

MAINZ 05 vs DORTMUND

Both Teams Score

Good bet. And a pretty interesting game tbh. Fortunately, Dortmund still managed to score in the 90+3 minute and thus come a little closer to Bayern. Very good for the league, if you ask me.

FREIBURG vs FRANKFURT

Above 2.5 Goals

Yikes, close call. I would have expected more goals here, but in the end the 1:1 is probably a fair result for both teams. Sucks for your bet though. Haha.

Alles in allem würde ich aber sagen: Läuft! So kann es weitergehen.  Cheesy

Is there a description of why, how and when to use this?

There is no general rule when to use [...] - at least none that I know of.

Most users use a note in the thread description to directly let the reader know what the thread is about. The most frequently used references are probably the following:

  • [DIS] for a discussion thread.
  • [INFO] for an info thread on a specific topic.
  • [UPDATED] for a thread that recently got updated.
  • [ANN] for an announcement thread of a specific project - most commonly used in the altcoin and services section.
  • [BOUNTY] for a bounty thread.
  • [Service/Open/CNFP etc.] for certain service or campaign threads.

However, there are no general rules. Just use these as you like, or don't.  Wink
2076  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Exit liquidity on: January 24, 2023, 02:54:08 PM
There's a YouTuber who likes exposing them, I have just forgotten the name of his channel (I think he might be coinzilla)

I guess you're referring to Coffeezilla (Coffeezilla, the YouTuber Exposing Crypto Scams)

I don't know that account, but I know that the Twitter account ZachXBT is actively exposing influencers, hacks and scams. He has an excellent track record in detecting fraudulent influencers and exchange/defi hacks.

IMHO, he is really one of the good guys out there. I mean, there are so many scammers on social media, so it's great that there are at least a few big accounts that are fighting these pricks and stand up for all the scam victims or the people who become exit liquidity after their favorite influencer dumped his bags on them.

Even in 2023, crypto is still the wild west.
2077  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The best wallet to use as beginner on: January 24, 2023, 02:36:50 PM

I agree with the previous comments. Do not leave your Bitcoin on crypto exchanges (such as Binance, Kraken, etc.), but always use a non-custodial wallet where you always have full, independent control over your private keys. Exchanges are a great, easy way to buy Bitcoin and altcoins, yet they are not suitable for long-term storage. Exchanges get hacked, your access is blocked or you can't get your coins for other reasons.

For this reason, you should deal with the basic questions regarding the storage of cryptocurrencies before (!) buying Bitcoin. Only when you have understood the basics would I make my first purchase.

In my opinion, offline paper wallets or hardware wallets such as those offered by Ledger or Trezor are best suited for storage.

However, I would start here: https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet

Pretty interesting stats @Rikafip & DdmrDdmr. I really appreciate the regular updates.

I was aware that we have a relatively big German-speaking community, but the fact that in the end there were 37 users who wrote over 99 posts and 130 users who wrote 10+ posts surprised me a little. Since you often see the same users opening threads and writing analysis, it is nice to see that ultimately a few more users are regularly active and participate in the discussions.

And that despite the current bear market. Very cool, looks like oldschool forums like Bitcointalk are not dead yet.
2079  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: German Bundesliga Season 22/23 - Discussion & Prediction Thread on: January 24, 2023, 01:43:25 PM
Tonight we continue with the 17th matchday of the Bundesliga and the following matches are scheduled:

Source: Google, Bundesliga Spieltag 17

On paper, it should be two easy wins for RB Leipzig and FC Bayern today. But at Bayern in particular, it's hardly been about football in recent days, but rather about the tiresome goalkeeper discussion, which peaked yesterday with the sacking of goalkeeper coach Toni Tapalović. As a reason, irreconcilable differences with the rest of the coaching team were cited by the media. If you ask me, a very unfortunate end for a co-trainer who had been working with Bayern (and Manuel Neuer ofc) since 2011.

But perhaps now is exactly the right time for the team to finally get back to normal and focus fully on the games in the second half of the season (Neuer is injured anyway until the end of the season, why are we having this goalkeeper discussion at all?). I mean there are tough opponents waiting in the Champions League - you simply can't afford discussions off the pitch tbh.

And concerning the Leipzig game: Probably a 5:0 or something? Pretty, pretty sure Schalke getting smashed today.  Cheesy
