1921  Other / Meta / Re: Binance pays Google Ads with the word "bitcointalk" on: January 20, 2023, 10:44:20 AM
Usually when you search Google for "bitcointalk" the forum link is the first result. But, today I noticed that it is different, at least in Portugal, the first result is from Binance.

Interesting, just double-checked it with several VPNs and the ad didn't pop up for locations like the US, France, Italy, Austria or Germany. Maybe they are focussing on the Portugese market to onboard some users from your location?

It appears that Binance considers this forum valuable as they are spending money advertising using this word in search.

It's either that or they just use a bunch of different Bitcoin-related keywords to push their ads. Wouldn't be so sure that they are directly focussing on Bitcointalk users.
1922  Local / Altcoins (Deutsch) / Re: Diskussion Airdrops on: January 20, 2023, 10:09:16 AM
Also falls jemand etwas darüber weiß und seine Songbird im Staking hat gerne her mit ein paar Infos. Wäre echt super nett.Danke

Songbird ?

Network Name: Songbird
New RPC URL: https://sgb.ftso.com.au/ext/bc/C/rpc
Chain ID: 19
Currency Symbol (optional): SGB
Block Explorer URL (optional): https://songbird-explorer.flare.network/

1923  Other / Meta / Re: [List]Gambling Board Spammers; Concerns, Solutions & Suggestions on: January 20, 2023, 09:53:07 AM
It has bothered me for quite some time that a reasonable discussion on the Bundesliga is no longer possible on the Gambling Board, so today I have decided to open a new self-moderated Bundesliga thread with some clear rules: [DISCUSSION] German Bundesliga Season 22/23

German Bundesliga Season 22/23

~

Thread rules & guidelines:

1. No off-topic
2. No pyramid quotes (if you're quoting more than three people your post will be deleted. Use ~ or -snip- for longer quotes.)
3. No posts of generic quality (shitposts)
4. No defamation
5. No trolling
6. Good posts will be rewarded by me. So give your post some thought and get some merit.

Let's see how the thread is adopted in the future, and whether some users really switch from the old Bundesliga spam thread to my new thread. In any case, I will do my best to moderate the discussion reasonably. I guess, we will see pretty quickly whether there are really users who are interested in discussing the Bundesliga, or whether most of them only post in order to fulfil their quota for their signature campaigns.
1924  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: ⚽Bitcointalk Bundesliga Tippspiel 2022/2023 - sponsored by Betnomi⚽ on: January 20, 2023, 09:42:42 AM

1926  Economy / Gambling discussion / German Bundesliga Season 22/23 - Discussion & Prediction Thread on: January 20, 2023, 09:33:55 AM

German Bundesliga Season 22/23

(A self-moderated discussion and prediction thread)

Since the old Bundesliga thread has unfortunately turned into a mega spam-fest where reasonable discussions or chats are almost impossible, I took the chance to open another self-moderated thread.

This thread is supposed to be about the following topics:

1. Casual discussions about the Bundesliga and its clubs
2. Betting & tips on individual Bundesliga matches and/or parlays
3. Transfer rumours about Bundesliga players and coaches

To prevent this thread from ending up in a spam-fest as well, there will be some clear rules. This means that posts that do not comply with the rules (especially generic shitposts for signature campaigns) will be consequently deleted.

In this thread the discussion should be in the spotlight, so please only post if you are really interested in the Bundesliga - otherwise please check out the spamthreads.

Thread rules & guidelines:

1. No off-topic
2. No pyramid quotes (if you're quoting more than three people your post will be deleted. Use ~ or -snip- for longer quotes.)
3. No posts of generic quality (shitposts)
4. No defamation
5. No trolling
6. Good posts will be rewarded by me. So give your post some thought and get some merit.

1927  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Has an exchange ever blocked your Bitcoins from Signature earnings? on: January 19, 2023, 10:46:52 PM
I am just trying to know from forum members if there is anyone who has ever had their bitcoin payments from signature advertising get blocked by an exchange, citing "suspicious transaction"?

I have been in a few signature campaigns already and never had any problems. No matter whether the campaigns were mixers or casinos.

Nevertheless, you should know that some exchanges - regardless of whether the coins are from signature campaigns - request a proof of funds for higher amounts. In particular, the European exchanges Bitpanda (demand even for very small amounts not bought on Bitpanda) and Bitstamp (for higher amounts ~10k+) could be mentioned here.

We have already had a few threads in the German-speaking board about users whose funds were blocked on these exchanges (especially Bitpanda) - if you can't prove where the coins came from afterwards, it often gets pretty complicated. Most of the time you get the coins back somehow (after plenty of emails), but the account is usually closed.

Just use DEXs and local Bitcoin trades to avoid any problems.
1928  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers on: January 19, 2023, 09:51:44 PM
After the disappointing performances of the German national team in Russia and Qatar, the management team of the German team is finally being revamped. Thank god. It was really about time.

Since sports director Oliver Bierhoff left the national team already, Rudi Völler will be his replacement. His contract starts on 1st February 2023.

Official: Rudi Völler will be the new director of the German national team from February 1st.

Völler: "First of all, we have to Laying the foundations for a successful European Championship at home in 2024, supported by all of Germany. We have the players for this. We now want to form a unit with these many top players, a strong and likeable national team to win fans back

Source: https://twitter.com/iMiaSanMia/status/1616150764757319701

IMHO, some fresh faces are really good for the national team (that goes for the management and the players aswell ofc), it's time for the team to get back on track. Germany as a football nation cannot allow itself another weak tournament tbh.
1929  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: January 19, 2023, 03:12:08 PM
The German newspaper Kicker just predicted the line-ups for tomorrow's RB Leipzig - FC Bayern München game.

Source: https://twitter.com/iMiaSanMia/status/1615816968547848192/photo/1

Yann Sommer is likely to replace Sven Ulreich, since he signed his contract today and is already at Säbener Straße.

quite surprising that Munich did not give more opportunities to their second goalkeeper Ulreich.

Not really to be honest.

And it also had nothing to do with Ulreich's last performance against Salzburg. FC Bayern is an absolute top club and then you can't go into the second half of the season with just a CL-level goalkeeper. Accordingly, it was pretty clear that FC Bayern would once again make a move on the transfer market and sign another goalkeeper. The fact that it has now become Yann Sommer makes sense on several levels. Manuel Neuer will be back at the end of the season and we will surely experience a strong competition for the position as Bayern goalkeeper next season.

Good luck guys. After the chaos of the last few days, surely one of the best news is that you are not giving up.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Icarus will be a success for all of you. You guys deserve it.  Smiley

And ofc I am looking forward to your first release. I'll probably buy one too, if it's not all sold out yet. There already seems to be plenty of interest, as you can see from the thread.
1931  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 19, 2023, 02:34:36 PM
It looks like the transfer of RB Leipzig midfielder Konrad Laimer to FC Bayern is a done deal. The usually well-informed journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that Laimer will sign a contract with FC Bayern from next season. Laimer's market value is €28m, but he is likely to join FC Bayern on a free transfer because his contract at RB Leipzig expires at the end of the season.

Konrad Laimer has signed his contract as new FC Bayern player from July 1st. Official statement soon, possibly already this month [@FabrizioRomano]

Source: https://twitter.com/iMiaSanMia/status/1616055085645045761

Indeed, that looks like a done deal to me too. And if that is the case, then FC Bayern will get another top player as a real bargain. Of course, Laimer will have his contract sweetened with a decent hand fee. Nevertheless, he brings strong quality with him and knows how to play in the Bundesliga pretty well. In any case, he is likely to further strengthen the FC Bayern team.

Excellent work by the FC Bayern management. Chapeau!
1932  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽️ Betnomi.com ⚽️ Bundesliga Football Pool Discussion Thread 2022/2023 on: January 19, 2023, 01:51:19 PM
Finally Bundesliga returns, we had last game there more than 2 months ago and these months looked like forever. And what a great first game after return - Leipzig - Bayern. I already left my prediction for it, just in case if I will forget to do it on Friday.

Same here! Finally some good German football again. And we're starting with an absolute banger match on Friday. FC Bayern vs. RB Leipzig looks like it will be a fantastic game and I can't wait to see the new Bayern goalkeeper Yann Sommer on the pitch. Hopefully he will be able to fill in for Manuel Neuer until he has recovered from his injury.

We're still missing a few players to make their picks. Hurry up folks, the next match is already tomorrow:

Code:
serab
Trofo
cygan
cls63
Saint-Loup
vd309
mv1986

We're still pretty close guys and there are plenty of matches left. Everyone still has the chance to win the prize money, don't give up just yet.

In addition, Binance holds further licences in Kazakhstan, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Dubai in the Middle East. Additionally in Australia, Japan, New Zealand in the Asia-Pacific region. One licence in Africa, namely South Africa and one licence in North America in Canada. The business with US clients is spun off into a separate company, Binance US.

1934  Economy / Economics / Re: Iran and Russia want to issue new stablecoin backed by gold on: January 19, 2023, 10:43:07 AM
~

As long as this initiative is driven forward by only two internationally relatively isolated states such as Russia and Iran, I can hardly imagine that other countries will join this project. Even if it certainly sounds attractive to some other states.

Of course, it is not only Russia and Iran that are striving to replace the dominance of the US dollar, but whether a stablecoin of their own is the right way to weaken the dollar is highly doubtful, if you ask me.

In addition to that, the question is of course how a stablecoin backed by gold is supposed to work at all. Other states would have to trust Russia and Iran that the gold stored in bank vaults somewhere in Moscow or Tehran would also be issued in case of doubt to support the stablecoin.

So this project is about great trust in the issuers. And this is practically non-existent. After the bloody war that Russia is waging in Ukraine with the help of Iran ofc, I hardly believe that these two states still enjoy a high level of trust in the international community.

To me, the whole idea sounds more like a desperate attempt to somehow replace the dollar.
1935  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Genesis crypto in trouble?? on: January 19, 2023, 10:32:55 AM
If they eventually go insolvent, will we see another drop in the price of Bitcoin??

I agree, the latest Bloomberg report sounds pretty reasonable. Therefore, it is quite likely that Genesis has a high risk of becoming insolvent, otherwise the company would not think of filing for bankruptcy. It seems that (so far) no solution has been found with the creditors.

Maybe they will find a solution, but if not and if Genesis were really to go bankrupt, the parent company Digital Currency Group would have to pay out $350m in loans. An enormous sum tbh.

Depending on how the bankruptcy is communicated to the public and how the market reacts to it, I could imagine that we could see another significant fall in the Bitcoin price in a continued negative overall market environment.

Although there has been a slight upward trend in recent days and weeks, this looks a lot like a bear market ralley. I do honestly not think that we are out of the woods yet and that new lows are certainly possible. And here the insolvency negotiations regarding Genesis are certainly an important indicator of whether things will go down again or whether we have already seen the macro Bitcoin bottom.
1936  Other / Meta / Re: Know who ignores who on: January 19, 2023, 10:17:56 AM
Lately I've been wondering if we can find out who ignored us.
Is there any way to find out who ignored us?

No, and that is a damn good thing tbh.

If the blocked person knew they were being blocked, it could quickly end up with countless new accounts being created with only one purpose: Contacting or in some other way attacking the person who has blocked them. And since there are already enough fights here in the forum and the ignore function is one of the few functions to limit these fights, I would find it a great loss of quality if the ignore lists were now to become public.

Fortunately, I am relatively sure that @theymos will not change anything in this regard any time soon.

Fortunately, I don't think I was personally ignored by anyone.

And even if you are currently trying someone or they don't respond, just let it go. Maybe the person is ignoring you or they just don't want to reply. Just move on. No one can force a user to have a chat.
1937  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 18, 2023, 10:27:06 PM
The rumors about Yann Sommer moving to Bayern Munich aren't rumors anymore as the journalist Manuel Bonke has captured and posted the arrival of Sommer to perform the medical check in order to sign the contract, according to which the player will play for Bayern until June 2025 for €8m in addition to €1.5€ in add-ons.

Agree, Sommer's transfer is confirmed by the club!

Pretty interesting development in the past 24 hours tbh - Alexander Nübel announcing that he's staying in Monaco and Sommer signs his news contract at Bayern. Concerning the €1.5m addon the German newspaper Bild added following information:

The €1.5m add-ons to Yann Sommer's transfer fee are distributed as follows: €1m for the Bundesliga title win, €250k for the DFB Pokal title and €250k for the Champions League title [@BILD]

Source: https://twitter.com/iMiaSanMia/status/1615825803920510976

As it looks, Sommer's medical check should take place tomorrow morning. Provided there are no problems here, Sommer should probably already be in the starting line-up against RB Leipzig on Friday. Wow, I wouldn't have thought that at the beginning of the week.

Overall I guess it's a smart move for both sides: FC Bayern gets a solid goalkeeper who has already played in the Champions League and will certainly give everything this season, and Yann Sommer gets the chance to win multiple titles with an absolute top club. Friday's game against RB Leipzig promises to be an interesting one, can't wait to see Sommer in action.
