Phil, I sent you (and the whole group since I hit reply-all) a signed message from my address.
Yeah I read that, and now I'm hungry... ;P You know... I looked at this post like 5 times before what you wrote sunk in. From my address, I assume you're referring to this (which are freaking delicious): ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.gannett-cdn.com%2F-mm-%2F027fdc9970b4840eafee9dbf6b7161c525a81b22%2Fc%3D23-0-936-687%26r%3Dx404%26c%3D534x401%2Flocal%2F-%2Fmedia%2FUSATODAY%2Fpopcandy%2F2013%2F09%2F23%2F1379947374000-drakes.jpg&t=663&c=nSWX9BXVBn0eJQ) In reality, my address refers to this: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fi74.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fi259%2FHorhey650%2F6e6c42bb.jpg&t=663&c=DV9yp3ATotPYvQ) As does my user name ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

I was surfing around the site Kano ckpool site, checking out the new stuff Kano is always adding, and when I clicked on the BTCa link on the payments page I was greeted with this: http://i60.tinypic.com/4io5jp.jpgAny idea why that warning appears? I doubt that Kano is trying to double spend here... I think it's caused by when we got our first orphan and I'm pretty sure any payout address that gets orphaned will get that on blockchain Yes it is rather disconcerting that blockchain doesn't understand how bitcoin works. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=123726.msg10848943#msg10848943That's exactly right. I've got it on an address that has been mining on p2pool for a year. And yes, it's rather absurd that the folks who wrote the software behind blockchain.info can't figure out how to exclude transactions from orphaned blocks in their assessment of whether or not an address actually has double spent.

okay went to take out 2.50 and duh have to wait for confirms!
HA! I was going to PM you about it... looks like you figured out on your own that we've gotta wait the 100 confirmations before you can send out the coins ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) I hit lots and lots of blocks back ing 2012 8 or 9 but it was with bitminter and he paid with no waiting since we were splitting the coins. I've only hit 1 block - it was mining on p2pool April, 2014. Just about 2 weeks after I fired up a new S1 it hit. However, since I'm used to mining on p2pool, I'm also used to getting BTC as part of the coinbase transaction of the block reward and the 100 confirmations required until they mature.

exciting I have a wallet with 49.96 coins in it. Yup... they're immature. Need to wait the 100 confirmations. I'm used to that mining on p2pool ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I can't wait until we hit the third and fourth blocks ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) EDIT: I'm used to waiting 100 confirmations... not to having near 50 BTC in my wallet lol.

As of now about 22 and change hours on the nicehash orders (4x100TH/s) and about the same on westhash (1x100TH/s).

So..
Anyone ever use the Antpool?
They claim its P2Pool, but it is obviously operating independent of the our P2Pool, as they have 67PH/s running.
I was curious if it has the same work retention as our pool and is trestles like ours.
Anyone who's mined out there have an impression for the rest of us?
S
It's a BS statement by AntPool. They have NO p2pool. They came out and announced in October of last year that they would be taking on p2pool and fixing the inherent problems. A ton of us were excited and couldn't wait to see what the Bitmain guys had in mind. Well, when they released their code it was plainly apparent it wouldn't work at all in the existing p2pool framework. In fact, all they really did was introduce some share tracking database and reliance upon a mysql server. The code was awful and didn't do anything to support the claims they were making. Time and time again we've called them out, and have posted multiple times in their thread about how they are not supporting decentralization and to remove all references to p2pool since their botched implementation is a farce.

It is too time consuming to add all the classes manually to the DE (Development Environment). There must be easier ways. I am an experienced Software Developer but I dont know how to do this. I want to use a Linux or independent free DE and I want to easily add the whole Bitcoin Source Code. It would be nice to automatically update the source code and compare changes. Because I have no experience doing this, I dont know where to start googling. Some links and hints would be nice. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Thanks! ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) There are indeed easier ways, which virtually every IDE provides - either through plugins which will connect to a git repo directly, or other mechanisms to get you started. Already mentioned was NetBeans. There's also Eclipse. Xcode on the Mac. VS on Windows. JetBrains' CLion is a good cross platform IDE. Heck, even Qt Creator will suffice, and give you the added benefit of visualizing the forms for the Core GUI.

Congrats guys ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Now you've got a freeroll for the next few hours till the orders run out. Fingers crossed for some more Yeah if I get 2x more, then I'm free and clear from all the BTC I used for 700TH-1PH hits over the past 2 weeks to the solo pool. ![Lips sealed](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/lipsrsealed.gif) I think I've been in 3 of these... so the block we just hit has made my coin back, or close enough to it to be a wash. The next few blocks we hit will be icing ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

yeah I am on the run most of today but I am perking ideas in my head.
I think 10 slots at .5 btc = 5btc which is about 500th for about 1 day.
I like the idea of :
some fixed hash------------- premium price less hash some floating hash----------- lower price more hash some at west hash some a nice hash
Maybe some from MRR , but my use of them has been none.
With summer heat the idea of mining in house for a lot of us has become too hard to do.
Also the idea of a decent amount of pay back .5 btc becomes 2.5 btc if you hit a block.
I could do 2 or 3 runs per adjustment.
I use MRR as both a renter and a rig owner. Their prices are always pretty high. For example, right now if we wanted to rent 500TH/s for 24 hours, it would run us about 6.2 BTC on MRR.

100T + seems to be the magic numbers lately.
Funny you say that. I had noticed that not a single person who rented 1+ PH has ever found a block here. Not sure exactly what that means but as well as some very lucky people there have been some very unlucky people. There is really, however, no way to confirm the hardware you are hiring isn't configured in such a way as to never find you a block mind you so you're always taking a risk (they'd need to be very nasty operators and I seriously doubt they'd risk their reputation with so much hashrate at their disposal but you never know). Reading onward from here does not make me happy. Unfortunately it's a risk you take when renting gear. You are trusting the hardware owner to not have any malicious intent. You are trusting any proxy they've implemented to be properly written and not malicious. You're trusting any mining software they're using to be properly written and not malicious. You're trusting the rental site to not have anything screwed up in their redirecting software. Why nobody who's rented more than 1PH/s has ever found a block here is unknown. It could be as simple as crap luck, or as unfortunate as those large rental providers acting maliciously. You'd have to dump a whole ton of coin into those rentals to even get a glimpse of a hint that something is potentially amiss. Even then, the rig owner could potentially be covering his tracks very well and actually only withholding a portion of block solving shares so it would look like nothing more than relatively bad luck.

in fact they are legit, they are the best cloud together with bit-x that you would get in right now, no other option if you really want to try cloud mining
you have more freedom with bit-x though, because with hashnest you need to wait to repay your principal
Genesis Mining is legit... they are partnered with Spondoolies. MegaMine is also legit (the MP is joust here on the forums). Just a couple other options for cloud mining.

I'd suggest moving this to the marketplace services board.
You also might want to be a bit more specific in your request. Are you just looking for somebody to write a nicer front end on top of an existing pool backend, or to write a pool from scratch? Is this for BTC mining only?

While our group hasn't found a block yet... after the latest winner, I checked my own solo mining - a whopping 9G from 5 U2s. That's when I saw this: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FWc28SQW.png&t=663&c=nJ5I_951dYvHaA) That's the best share I've ever seen from those little sticks. Sure, it's nowhere close to finding a block, but it's not that bad, either. Anyway, congrats to johnp and our latest 2-block winner!
