How much I should expect with AMD FX-8150 Eight-Core processor ? Passmark CPU Mark 9135

With the latest minerd? Probably in excess of 80 Kh/s.

with all 8 core, I would only get 80 khash/sec ?

2069  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][YAC] YACoin ongoing development on: January 14, 2015, 03:08:44 PM
Looks like someone sold a bunch of YAC (about 320k) on Cryptsy.  That's a lot of coin days destroyed.

https://www.cryptsy.com/markets/view/YAC_BTC

Someone wanted out bad! Dropped over 1 million across the exchanges at ridiculous price values. I hope for his sake he was trying to get out of crypto entirely versus jumping on the bitcoin sinking ship. I don't see the point of doing that unless you are desperate. Anyone want to admit to it on here?? ;p

With bitcoin being the lowest its been in almost a year, it seems although a lot of people are 'cashing out' of crypto coins completely.  IMOP this is the worst time in the history of cryptocoin to be getting out it of.  We finally have the attention of the media, large vendors, and even the common Joe.

Please help me. I have downloaded the windows wallet and also CPU miner. I made a .bat file. My CPU- intel core 2 quad Q9400 2.66GHz. Tell me what should I do to mine and how much hash I will get with my cpu.
 http://[Suspicious link removed]/index/php/Mining_Hardware_Comparison
I tried the link, but it is useless. Please help me

Could you post your batch file?  It should look something like this.

Code:
cd "C:\Mining\minerd-yacoin_stratum_x86_2_4_0"
start minerd-x86-corei7.exe -a scrypt-jane -t 8 -s 2 -o stratum+tcp://yac.coinmine.pl:9088 -u ***user*** -p ***pass***

yes... now i am mining at 105h/s Tongue .... terrible hash rate.

Your Alternative Currency

http://www.yacoin.org/

Specifications
No premine
Proof of Work: Scrypt-N SHA-3
Proof of Stake: 0.05 YAC rewarded per coin*year after 30 days
Stake mining: 30 day wait, enabled with checkbox from wallet
Block time: 60 seconds
Block reward: MIN(100, diff ^ 1/6) or variable 0 to 100 based on difficulty
Total coin supply:
Difficulty adjusts every block
Configuration file: yacoin.conf

How it works
YACoin is the original creator of Scrypt-N Proof of Work. YACoin chose a PoW algoritm SHA-3 KECCAK to further distance itself from other coin creation schemes. YACoin uses Proof of Stake to secure itself from pure PoW attacks.

Proof of Stake is an improved version from Peercoin's implementation. YACoin counts PoS blocks with equal weight as PoW blocks.

2071  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Ati Radeon R7 260 or GTX 750ti ? on: January 14, 2015, 07:16:21 AM
I know mining BITCOIN with GPU is obsolete. I am interested in altcoin mining

I am a newbie in Crypto industry. Very much interested in mining with a GPU. I can manage Ati Radeon R7 260 or GTX 750ti.
Will I make any profit with a single (any one of the above mentioned) Card ? I have heard GPU mining is nearly obsolete. But I am pretty interested. Please help me.
How much H/s I will get from that two card respectively ?
If I do pool mining, then what will be daily income? I keep my PC on almost whole day long, as I have other members in my home, who use this PC.
What DRIVER and MINER I should use to get best result.

2074  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: I want to buy BTC by my Paypal on: January 07, 2015, 04:29:35 PM
I am completely new and Really a bit puzzled. Thank you lot, Guys. I will find a way, I know, no one trust a newbie. It is a matter of $5. I will try to rent and will see what happens

$5 isn't a huge risk, but for you to feel that you have the right to ask someone to send a none reversible currency in exchange for your easily clawed back currency, screams scam.
Why someone would scam for $5, is beyond me lol

If it is gifted can it be clawed back?

And if you pay with credit card, you can reverse it sometimes 6 months later.
Credit card and paypal are a real bitch.

If anyone of you feel unsafe, u can just ignore the topic. Everyone here was new, once. All of you scammed others? If not, you should have faith upon others.
Use a different payment method to build up some rep first before asking to buy with PayPal

Thanks for your advice

2079  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU miners, welcome on: January 05, 2015, 06:14:48 AM
I think the 750ti is the most efficient miner considering power costs.  If electricity doesn't matter then just about any AMD card will suit you depending on your budget.  Don't skimp on power.  I highly recommend Silver, gold, platinum or better (is there better?) on power supplies.  The reliability and stability is worth the extra money on power supplies.

Also don't skimp on GPUs.  I have exerience with 280X and Highly recommend anything Asus or Sapphire.  The Sapphire Vapor-x, Sapphire Toxic, and Asus R9280X-DC2T-3GD5 are really good choices and can be picked up cheap second hand.  They are tanks and will work for a long time as long as you treat them well.  If you are setting up an actual rig make sure you pick up a $30 box fan for some good air movement and remember to occasionally lube the gpu fans with a nonconductive electronics lube periodically.

If you really want to explore mining and can afford it, I highly recommend even getting a high quality processor and put it to use mining a good cpu coin like memorycoin.

If there's a microcenter near you you can probably get a sweet deal on the cpu.

Oh yeah, I mostly gave up on GPU mining but I was like you and wanted to learn about it and try it out.  It was fun!  But... I value my time and decided to go other routes to accumulate coin :-)

gltu!

Thanks a lot, I appreciate your help
