So, I decided to continue in making some different flavored stamps...I really do not like QR codes on stamps so I went with the raw data or alphanumeric text instead for the newer stamps..which I feel look more like the real vintage stamps of old. Yep..cold me olf fashioned...I am there or headed that way  Wink

I have also changed from regular paper inside the envelope to placing water proof paper in all the new stamp envelopes and from 21 and up for the QR code stamps.

Here are some pics of sheets and stamps as well.

2090  Economy / Collectibles / Introducing- Cypher Postage TimeLock Smart Contract Stamps-Unique! on: April 19, 2021, 08:08:35 PM

To all you Philatelists and physical Bitcoin collectors out there, I am introducing for the  Cypher Postage's Timelock Smart Contract stamp!
For the first time in Philately and physical Crypto collecting, I am pleased to share my latest TimeLocked Smart Contract stamp.
Each one of these stamps has the raw hex code, public and private keys all contained on one stamp! And yes you will need a magnifying glass to be able to read them.  Wink But no worries you will also get a digital pic for your records as well.

The Smart Contract can be broadcast/executed on the 1st January 2030 at which time the stamps public address will be loaded with 0.0001 BTC

Each stamp will be on an envelope as shown depicting the passage of time with the clocks melting and passing thru the sand glass timer to form BTC. On the background is wall covered in binary code.

In each envelope will also be all the data/QR codes needed to broadcast the raw Hex data and also the public/private keys along with the password for the BIP38 encrypted private key.
I used TerraSlate water proof paper so in the event of water damage you will not lose any of the information. I even made a thread on how durable this paper is. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5296179.0
A pamphlet is also included to explain and assist in broadcasting and executing the loading of the stamp and redeeming it as well.
Keep an eye open as these will be coming up for auction soon on a forum near you :>)

2096  Economy / Collectibles / [WTGA] CYPHER STAMP #20 on: March 04, 2021, 09:17:59 PM

  WTGA...Want to give away!

Ok, in celebration to my Cypher stamp release I will be giving this beautiful stamp#20 on my custom artwork envelope.

As you can see i was experimenting with a scratch off on the priv key, but I did not like the outcome, and in reality it does not need it.

If you win, you will need to load the stamp with face value. I will ship to you for free. Please make miner fee high enough that it will confirm within 24 hrs.

Sooo...that being said you need to do the following to win this highly collectable physical crypto stamp!

   1) Find 30 names and place alphabetically.

   2) Take the tenth name, take the 3rd and 4th letter from the name and convert to binary. Use this for the conversion in capital letters. https://www.rapidtables.com/convert/number/ascii-to-binary.html

   3) Copy and paste from the rapidtables website, they will be the password for the https://safenote.co/r/60414d8e587440@00304982. The first one to do this will find a message in there. Copy and paste it on this thread. The first one wins! Goodluck!!

Introducing CYPHER STAMPS by CYPHER POSTAGE

I have been a stamp collector for over 40 years. Once I became a physical bitcoin collector, I always wanted to see someone make a stamp loaded with actual Bitcoin on it.

So in 2017 I created the first loaded physical bitcoin stamp that was actually posted and used in the USA as you can see here  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2097158.msg20957878#msg20957878

I let it go at that and waited for someone else or some government agency to take up the torch and produce their own version of a physical Bitcoin. I waited for years and nothing happened...I mean yes, they did issue stamps with other crypto coins on them, but none of them were Bitcoin.

So a few weeks back, I started this mind game for people to be able to sweep some bitcoin out of a digital bitcoin stamp similar to what I made back in  2017.
                 http://www.crypto-stamps.com/private3.html

It was a hit amongst some people here but for whatever reason it was moved to the gambling section as it was not deemed a physical collectable item.
https:/bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5317293.0

Well......that got me into thinking of making a physical bitcoin stamp to give away! Its something I should have done years ago.....make my own actual physical stamps and also be allowed to give them away or sell them as I please as well.

That being said, I bought and created a website here>>  www.cypherpostage.com or www.cypherstamps.com.

Designed a new stamp and generated the public and private keys on an air-gapped computer.

The stamps will be placed on an envelope and inside the sealed envelope are all the keys for the private key as well as the password.

Winner or buyer will need to load with face value prior to shipping!

Can these stamp be used for posting items?

The answer is no, these are novelty collectable stamps that are one of the first of their kind in the world in having physical bitcoins on them. Just like Bitbills and Casascius not being real government issues cards/coins, the same apply to these stamps. They are made by Cypher Postage as a tribute to Bitcoin and all the physical bitcoin collectors around the world.

                  Full disclosure…
The stamps were sent out to be made to a stamp manufacturer, so yes the private keys have been exposed to someone besides myself. I had to make a minimum of 10 sheets per order so I have 9 sheets that are available to give away or sell but will never be able to be swept…as the word specimen and a postmark will be written over the QR codes and of course the passwords will not be provided with them.

The passwords on these stamps are at least 17 scrambled letters numbers and figures that according to https://password.kaspersky.com/ will take centuries to solve.

If you feel uncomfortable about this, then please do not buy or participate in this game. Other than that, they will be close to impossible to brute force.

As you can see I have had a stamp online loaded with 0.02btc for the past 4 years and it has not been swept at all. http://www.crypto-stamps.com/

So for now I have created one sheet with 20 stamps on it. Along with this sheet came 9 other sheets that were made as specimens.

The first block of 4 stamps and 5 sheets  I will keep in my possession as part of my personal collection.

Stamp #20 will be given away for free in a mind game to be announced later. And perhaps I  shall give out more as well…we shall see in what mood I am in.

Maybe stamps #5 thru 19 will be auctioned off separately.

The specimen sheets, 5 will be kept in my personal collection. The other 4 will be auctioned off or given away in these games.

I will probably issue more than 20 and I also have different artwork and values all set to be made...all depending if I am in a good mood. Wink

And yes these are all numbered and limited editions of probably 100 of each value. So very collectable!

Please keep in mind these specimen sheets are identical to the actual stamps loaded but the owner will not be able to sweep the private key unless he has the complex password that only envelope hodlers will be able to have.

You can read more about Cypher Stamps here www.cypherpostage.com

I am also working on creating these at home with self perforated papers in the works..in other words future ones will not be sent out for printing, private keys will never be exposed to another person and only one sheet per stamp will ever be produced….so no specimens at all. But that is not a promise. By the way in the real postage word, there are also specimen stamps sent out to postmasters so they were able to identify valid stamps. So yes very collectable in philately.

2100  Economy / Collectibles / Re: HOW TO BUY OR SELL HERE... on: February 23, 2021, 09:52:55 PM
thank you for the info provided on OP, I have the issue of I have some physical coins to sell, but have not done so due to the "postal scam" where the receiver claims it was pealed and cashed out before arrival, what steps can I make to reduce/illuminate this issue, thanks.

use an escrow to receive, validate, verify the coins before they re-ship to the buyer. Also - if you know the address of the coin and ship it tracked, pretty easy to see when it was peeled and swept as it will be either before it arrived or after it arrived.

who is the most trusted escrow close to the UK?

I would ask that question in this thread - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2439910.0

This thread has a good escrow list as well https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=276897.0
