Amazing luck... Should have taken around seven years to get a share that high after the one you had yesterday. Err unless my math is wrong, at any rate Congratulations!

According to coinwarz 15TH should take on average 157 days to find a block at current difficulty:

http://www.coinwarz.com/calculators/bitcoin-mining-calculator/?h=15000&p=1180.00&pc=0.10&pf=0.00&d=47643398017.80340000&r=25.00000000&er=241.52000000&hc=0.00
The latest block was from someone with 850GH.

Sorry I thought Cheeseater said he found the last block and provided a link to a rig showing 15+TH?

Thanks, 91 confirmations down. I've always have wanted to pull this off. Thanks again CK, I tried to solomine setting up my own server but never could make it work.

Fingers crossed it's a good find. I agree this is a great way to solo mine without the hastle of maintaining your own setup.
2086  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: 10PHs in 1 day vs 1PHs in 10 days on: May 14, 2015, 12:10:07 AM
Id ask more of what can I afford to risk, since its based on what you can afford really.

Say you go with the huge performance 10 PHs, question is that can you still continue even if the value drops? lol. As oppose to the other smaller hash performance you can since, its less intial risk and can be made for the loss.

Leverage is just accelerated risk, if its not done right which is the 10 PHs.

 -snip-

It is a good calculation and thanks for it but OP is asking which has higher chance of finding a block.

I think philipma1957 is right you have the same chance finding a block mining with 10PH for 1 day as 1PH for 10 days but renting 1PH for 10 days will cost slightly less as you're paying less for the rigs. Assuming that difficulty stays the same over the 10 days of course.

17UhZWXLyiHmPmAb4VdFweGWRYY52qjxwp with ~20-50THs

It is really the luck of the draw. The group had over 500 THs and did not hit a block.
Yes but this miner has maintained 25TH for over a week (not sure how long).
Got home from work last night and saw I had a 33G bestshare. Got home and saw it reset, so what the hell normally I'd check the the thread. But for shits and giggles I ran my client and low and  behold 25 immature coins! Thanks CK for everything over the years, answering my early questions and all the work you and Kano do. Tips inbound as soon as it matures and for the curious it was my equipment no rentals. Good luck to all!

Congrats!! What type of miner was the lucky solver?
One of my rigs you've been renting a lot Wink

Congratulations Cool. If you share a link I think you will get some more rentals. People love renting machines that have already solved a block Cheesy.

I took it offline for 5 days to try my luck. Will put it back online now Grin

Thanks for letting us know. Have bookmarked for future rental Grin. Congrats again Cool.

I think this is all bullshit. Post was created just for backlink juice, will remove if proved wrong.
that's absurd, i don't work for naughty dog's marketing and the keywords are not targeted.

I have removed that post, I'm sorry for doubting this was genuine Embarrassed.

Well done Sarahiko Cool.

I think this thread is simply for a strong forum backlink to the youtube video.

I see no other reason that the OP would post this or not answer why he wants the exact t-shirt.

I have a complete set of them I would sell all graded MS-67. Not really wanting to break them up though.

Silver/Gold Single MS-67
Silver Single MS-67
Silver Halve MS-67
Silver Tenth MS-67

It comes with a nice display case also..looking for 10BTC shipped.

Ignore bottom coins it is the ones in wooden box.. Also the tenth there is actually being auctioned, but I will toss in a different MS-67 one.

Lovely set Smiley.

2098  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Next consumer model miner on: May 09, 2015, 06:26:18 PM
right now to have any hope of mining even a couple dollars a week in btc you need to think in terrahashes.

so i am not aware of any home friendly models,

a decent choice may be the s5  , i don't own one, but was thinking about it....

i hear they are very loud though (the fan)

clocked normal supossed to be able to put out just over 1.1 ths

still unless you have cheap electric and a place to run the unit(s) suitable, may be tough....

I would agree with now thinking more then one TH if you want more earnings.  1T is no longer near what it once was.

As we grow more efficient you will need more and more hash.  For some it is easier to expand for more miners then it is others.  We have unique situations as home miners lot's of different situations.

I couldn't agree more, 1TH will only return about 0.01btc a day currently so its touch and go whether you turn a profit or not depending on hardware and electricity cost.

S5's are one of the most efficient miners and you can change the fans to quiet ones Wink.

You will still need cheap electricity to return a profit.
2100  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: selling 0.10 btc for paypal or skrill on: May 09, 2015, 04:59:30 PM
Problem is if seller wants to use escrow for a Paypal sale then btc would need to be in escrow for 180 days to make sure its not charged back (I think it's 180 days that you can take to make a charge back for Paypal anyway).

EDIT: Hopefully OP wouldn't insist on escrow with a trusted member.
