2081  Economy / Economics / Re: Binance Chief Pushes for Global Crypto Standards Amid FTX Crisis on: November 14, 2022, 07:48:34 AM
Binance's CEO said that industry players and regulators need to come together to bring transparency in the crypto space.

As the FTX crisis unravelled over the last week, the demand for regulatory clarity and proper crypto framework has soared recently. Head of crypto exchange Binance – Changpeng “CZ” Zhao – said that the firm has spearheaded efforts with other industry players in establishing a global standard for digital assets.

Zhao has recently engaged in a public feud with FTX chief Sam Bankman-Fried triggering the chain of events that led to the collapse of the crypto exchange FTX. The collapse of giants like FTX has completely shaken the crypto industry. It also eroded more than $200 billion from the crypto market in a week’s time. Speaking at a conference in Bali, Zhao said:

“As an industry, we need to increase transparency. We need to work very closely with regulators all around the world to make this industry more robust. There is a strong role for regulators to play but we can’t blame this on any single party”.

The Binance chief also mentioned that Indonesia’s tax regime isn’t optimal and that licenses should be available more easily. He further argued that the “industry is still growing, we are still building”.

The FTX collapse has caught the attention of U.S. lawmakers. Senator Elizabeth Warren said that the FTX fall uncovers fragility in the crypto space. However, Coinbase chief Brian Armstrong slammed the SEC adding that the lack of regulatory clarity is causing more pain.

(Source: Coingape)

Though the fallout of FTX has sent shock waves across the whole crypto industry but it is an eye opener for crypto investors as well as for regulators who are responsible to protect the rights of investors. They need to come up with strict regulation to scrutinize exchange and all crypto holding companies to maintain transparency in their day-to-day transactions and set high standards of business to avoid such incidents in future.
2082  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ONE MAJOR LESSON LEARNT SO FAR THIS WEEK FROM THE CRYPTO MARKET 😥 on: November 14, 2022, 06:12:26 AM
Don't keep all your funds in one exchange, diversify your coins and diversify your exchange. Provide stablecoins to hold more when the price drops drastically and becomes a discount price, because that's a good time to enter bigger profits

The lesson we learn is that though crypto industry is developing very fast but still far from maturity so stay away from centralized exchanges until they are properly regulated and scrutinized to protect investor's fund.

This incident has massively damaged the reputation of all centralized exchanges and people to think twice/thrice before they transfer their funds in any exchange including Binance which is top rated exchange. People didn't like the role CZ (Founder & CEO of Binance) played; in the beginning he came up with rescue plan but later he backed out.

Conclusion: Though this fallout is a pain for the short term for the whole crypto industry, but I think it is good for the long term because more regulation will definitely come out now to scrutinize the crypto holding companies.

2083  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Currency should be Integrated into School Curriculum on: November 14, 2022, 04:11:08 AM
After reading so many theories, Analysis and the powers of crypto currency in a nation's economy, the greater impact it will bring to developed and fast developing countries. I began to wonder why is crypto currency not accepted in some area's and organization of the world, can we characterized this as lack of information, and awareness to the people. If this be the case, Can we find a way to adopted Crypto Currency as a Subject and integrate it into our school curriculum, or better still as topic and integrate it into Economy's. This has been on my mind, And I honestly need your contribution and your thoughts towards this. I honestly think crypto currency, BTC and ETH for example. Should be adopted globally and accepted by everyone. Thanks

It is good idea and will be a step forward towards adoption of crypto on masses level. I think the main issue in Bitcoin adoption is its volatility that makes it very unstable currency and its speed is slow which makes the transaction fee very high, if all these issues are resolved, Bitcoin will be adopted at a very fast pace.

It is equally important that we teach our children Blockchain which  emerging technology and crypto is its product, we need to teach children by analogies or let them experience it by using it in video games so that can learn to use it.
2084  Economy / Speculation / Re: Stop the panic, I doubt we will see 14k or less Bitcoin on: November 14, 2022, 01:26:48 AM
However, I'm bullish and expect to see Bitcoin rising at least above 20k again in December.  Smiley
Currently the price recovery process will be great if more and more people are optimistic about the future of bitcoin.
Of course, FOMO has proven to be very reliable for Bitcoin, causing a bullish sentiment, so we have a good chance to see some FOMO sometime later again which will send Bitcoin to da moon.
Were are in a very important situation right now and if no significantly bad news come in, Bitcoin is likely to keep recovering.

I have a feeling most people would probably be willing to wait for bigger news before reinvesting the big bucks in bitcoin, but for the optimists then surely now is the time. $16.8K is the current price or -75% of ATH, I believe this as an opportunity but may need to think about some strategy like DCA.
Yes, many people are still having fear and are waiting to see if the bottom is in. If such people can get confidence again, we might see 20k very quickly again.  Smiley

It is true that market is still in havoc caused by un-anticipated crash of FTX and people are afraid that crisis could spill over to other exchanges. This is the reason investors are reluctant to take entry despite the fact that current price is very attractive, and it seems that bottom is already in. Let's watch and wait how market plays out in the US in the evening which is likely to set the direction for coming days. DYOR
2085  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ONE MAJOR LESSON LEARNT SO FAR THIS WEEK FROM THE CRYPTO MARKET 😥 on: November 13, 2022, 06:00:22 PM
What lesson did you learn from the market this week?

I personally, learnt to always take profit.

The lesson we learned from the sudden collapse of LUNA and FTX is that, your funds are always at risk in Centralized exchange wallets & they are not reliable, no matter how big the exchange is. This is the reason Investors are switching their funds to Decentralized exchanges (DEX) which is evident from price increase of native tokens of UNI, TWT, DYDX, DOD & SFP.

2086  Other / Off-topic / Re: Time management on: November 13, 2022, 03:38:59 PM
Time management, in my opinion is a skill. A skill that comes naturally to some, while others would strive to attain. Time management skills are valued by employers on a recruitment drive and are always on the lookout for such a skill.

There are always things that are needed to get done and with so little time. That is where time management comes in.
Time management could be defined in a variety of ways. We could safely define management as a process of planning, organizing, directing, controlling of human and material resources to enable the objective achieve its aim/goal.

Time management involves planning, organizing of your tasks, activities and objectives.
Time management is critical and needed to safely achieve the goal set by either an individual or an organization. In an organization, it has been confirmed and proven that being able to effectively manage time has led to an increase in productivity and it’s general output.

Here are some strategies for the effective management of your valuable time.
1. Set a goal: Personally, I like to write down my goals(either short or long term goals). Having a goal would set and prepare your mind and helps an individual to focus on the tasks ahead

2. Plan: Planning is vital when doing literally anything. More important when you want to limit or prevent time wastages. With a plan, you could set and follow a well defined course.

3. Have a scale of preference: Having a scale of preference shows your wants, needs and tasks. It  lets you arrange your tasks in order of importance and highlights your priorities. Having a scale of preference also helps keep you organized.

3. Break larger tasks into smaller ones: Breaking larger tasks into smaller ones helps make the tasks more achievable and easier. It also helps keeps you organized and focused on the tasks

4: Delegate: Delegation is very important in an organization and it helps keep things moving smoothly and quickly. It also helps eliminate time wastage in the workplace.

5. End procrastination: With procrastination, you’re never going to get anything done. You would keep pushing things to do at a later date until they pile up and become a huge problem later on.

6. Do away with distractions: Whatever that doesn’t contribute to the attainment of a set goal is a distraction and should be dropped. All unnecessary things that doesn’t help you achieve your goal is a distraction and distractions greatly help waste time.

Time is a valuable resource that when lost, can never be recovered anymore.

Time is the most precious commodity in our life, it is a great topic to discuss, thanks for creating this thread. Time management is very important in our studies, career, social life and whatever activity we perform from dawn to dusk. It is a process to manage time in a way that each activity gets sufficient time to achieve targeted results. It is a skill that we learn gradually and it increases our capacity to get things done onetime without missing deadlines.
2087  Economy / Economics / Re: House is a forced saving on: November 13, 2022, 02:01:09 PM
Guy often tell me house is a force saving. By looking at the market today, full of scammer roaming around, and countless unsavoury characters and get rich quick scheme, jobless highly educated youth. I conclude buyhouse is not only a “forced saving” but also a “save yourselves”.

We often heard about a lot of highly educated youth had no jobs, underemployed, which is very bad today and getting worse day by day. What they often failed to see is it has been norms in the past, do you not know every scientist is borderline poor and bloke, Albert Einstein is not rich, Newton Isaac is bankrupt poor on south sea bubble, Wright brother is poor, we often read about how great are scientist on the textbook who create useful invention to improve life, but there is a catch, the textbook conveniently never mention the scientist personal wealth, it’s apparent textbook censor the information they do not want the kids to know all the scientist are living paycheck to paycheck and borderline poor, where they often has to wagecuck and sell their IP to the government to make a living, if they failed to create any IP they would be rejected just another bloke we often see on the street today, is homeless educated guy not often in the past?

Friedcat of the bitcoin is the modern day jobless highly educated genius, he is often regarded as “genius youth who is living a frugal life”, despite awarded with scholarship, and secure the top spot in the top business school, the guy goes on and create very useful product, create the asicminer, but very quickly the guy just simply goes broke and fall into endless debt burden, his company is broken, life broken and going missing forever after he couldn’t pay the debt he owned, oh how ironically he is just the modernise Newton Isaac in disguise, such a nice addition, so guy listen, keep following the advice of go to school and study hard get good grade, get a good paying job with benefit, you would eventually made it in life, miraculously and magically you would be living happy ending life, it’s fine guy!

Then I’m often getting bombarded with doubt “Do you have a better system than existing one? Do you?” Obviously I don’t have any and I would never come up with one, keep trying to beat the house and to realise how great/lesser a person you are.

House price is soaring, but finance advisor telling me to debt maxxing on house loan 90% loan and 0~10% dp, and it’s fine. Because bank want to increase revenue, increasing house price is what the bank did, by increasing house price, guy would take more loan to buy house, that way bank can increase revenue by increasing house price and increasing the loan to buy house, then bank can charge interest on the house loan to make profit. But what I often heard is guy tell me to debt maxing on house loan, don’t care about saving, it’s a recipe to disaster to me. So guy today hope the house price to collapse and they can shop house on the bargain, that’s one wishful thinking, the bank cartel and house developer wouldn’t allow that to happen, reduce house price would make it bad for bank to sell more house loan, and bad for developer too, the blackrock would stop that effort, however as usual some guy would loss everything due to greed, if over leveraged on house loan, would loss everything.

Indeed, buying house is a forced saving as we all need a house where we can live peacefully with our family and build lifetime memories without fear of paying rent every month and no fear of frequent rental increase which adds extra burden on our budget. Furthermore, buying house is also considered a secure & profitable investment, particularly in countries where demand of houses is growing due to higher population growth which is the main cause behind soaring prices of homes.
2088  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buying the DIP Solana VS Bitcoin VS Ethereum... on: November 13, 2022, 11:19:11 AM
Hi everyone!!

I hope you are doing good... I'm preparing to invest in crypto one more time, hoping I have better results than the last time.

We are seeing a big dip and I consider it's a great time to buy... I'm gonna invest $30,000 usd which is the biggest part of my savings so I expect not to fail...

I'm doing a long term investment (2 years) at least until the next bitcoin Halving.

1) My first question is about Solana... as it seems to be the most affected. Do you think it's a wise investment, or you consider it too risky?
2) Do you believe Solana could recover it's price and reach again $200 usd?

3) If it's not Solana, which other currencies you consider a potential investment?

4) What do you think about Bitcoin and Ethereum? I believe those are the safest investments, but I'm also looking for something with more space to grow...

5) Do you know or can recommend another currencies other than Solana, Bitcoin or Ethereum?

Thanks in advance!
Kind regards;
Christian Russo

Bitcoin & Ethereum are best currencies to hold with patience and wait for the return of Bull market to book huge profit. I think it is not good idea to sell Top currencies like Bitcoin/Ethereum and buy SOLANA which is already in deep trouble after FTX massive crash & market analysts are speculating its dump in coming days as there is significant reduction in the amount of staked Solana. 2089  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 5 Bear Market Mistakes to Avoid on: November 13, 2022, 05:45:38 AM
I think in my current situation this topic doesn't suit or maybe ita the best time to post such content I don't know as i am speechless due to this freaking manipulated market crisis. So some teams fucked my dear Bitcoin again haha never mind its not the first time we can do the same with them soon in near future.

I think there is no problem in discussing the bear market mistakes those we all make during the bear run because it looks very relevant to current depressing situation triggered by collapse of FTX. In such kind of situation new traders are often tempted to catch falling knife believing that it is available at very low price and at the end usually they suffer losses so the lesson we learn from experience is that never buy when market is extremely volatile and directionless.
2090  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market is about to pump on: November 13, 2022, 02:52:35 AM
I think these are two different questions. First, now when we talk about Amazon, maybe think of the ubiquitous online retailer that has exploded for two decades. Last became one of the largest companies in the world.

But that wasn't always the case—Amazon was once a small startup with no guarantee of success. If we fast forward like now. At that time it was hard to believe that it was possible for a company to grow so big and so fast in such a short span of time.

Back again to crypto. I think there are two ways to look at the state of the crypto industry over the next few years in 2023 or beyond. One is that it will continue to grow and develop, leading to many new opportunities for investors and companies. The second is that it will deflate significantly after a long period of rising prices and unrealistic expectations.

Though FTX turmoil was a black swan for crypto space, but history of Bitcoin vindicates that market always recovers from such incidents. The market looks stable now and Hopely, we will see Bitcoin starting upward journey from next week.

The second scenario drawn in your post is likely to happen in 2023 when all financial markets including Bitcoin will start performing because FED is likely to pause increasing interest rates and moreover so much technological development is taking place in every sector of crypto industry from DEFI, Metaverse to NFTs as well as its popularity is increasing among youngsters worldwide.
2091  Economy / Speculation / Re: Stop the panic, I doubt we will see 14k or less Bitcoin on: November 12, 2022, 03:05:18 PM
Literally articles are flooding saying the bottom isn't here etc etc.

The FTX thing sucked, but Bitcoin can only go so low with the amount of support it has and how integrated it has become with the banking system.

Stop the FUD.

EDIT: For those of you who seem not to remember what FUD stands for:

Fear. Uncertainly. Doubt.

I am not panic at all becuase my faith in Bitcoin is unshakable for its long term prospects which are very bright despite bearish run which is going on since the beginning of the year. The FTX turmoil gave enough hammering to crypto market but i think Bitcoin has already seen the bottom and hopefully it won't slide down any further, it is likely to stabilize between 16K-17K  in coming weeks before it starts upward journey. If FED pauses increase in interest rate,we might see huge rally before the end of the year.
2092  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why does everyone want to trade? on: November 12, 2022, 12:08:18 PM
Many people want to try their hand at trading because they see it as an opportunity and at first it seems like it's a simple task until you get deeper into it, and then you realize how difficult it is. I only trade spot because it is safer and less risky in my opinion. Trading is not for everyone, but everyone wants to try it to see their results.

Most of the people think that it is very easy to make money in trading, but the truth is that very few succeed and rest of them lose all their invested capital, (particularly in future and margin trading which is highly risky) because they jump in this business without learning technical indicators & risk and money management skills. Tading is job of professions who use technical charts to make entry and exit at the right time and as well as they secure their trades by using risk and money management tools. for beginners, it is better to trade in spot market unless they learn all required skills.
2093  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 5 Bear Market Mistakes to Avoid on: November 12, 2022, 08:37:21 AM
Losing money on investing is a frightening proposition. However, you can protect your money and reduce stress in a falling market by avoiding five common pitfalls made by crypto investors.

Panic
Putting in Emotional Efforts
Investing short-term
Overtrading
Mental Health

Learn More: https://mycryptoparadise.com/5-common-mistakes-to-avoid-during-a-crypto-bear-market/
There are many traders who had been battling with these mistake but still haven't get out of it because of so many issues. There are some persons who can find it hard to control their emotions and when it comes to trading they normally find it hard to isolate the emotion and focus on what the market can offer in time coming.
Loses is inevitable in trading that is why we should be prepared to lose so that we can stand strong and focus on what we want in a long term period.

I think the biggest mistake we make in bear market is that we put all our funds in one go to buy digital asset when it starts recovering after crash hoping that market is oversold, and price recovery has started. Unfortunately, this recovery process is short lived and price slides down further and we are not left with any funds to do dollar cost average our portfolio. The best strategy is making buying in at least 3 steps by when you see opportunity on weekly or monthly technical charts.
2094  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MATIC LEADING THE ALTCOINS MARKET on: November 12, 2022, 05:01:58 AM
It's very obvious matic is leader among all cryptos ATM
👀
How and why?

I'm taking a look at it and I can say that it didn't moved that much during the all time high. And while we're in a bear market, the price of it is just half from its ATH.

And that means to say that it's still got a lot of room to improve when the bear market's done. But I want to hear more about this project before someone has finally convinced me to get some of it.

I have been trading MATIC since its price was few cents and it never disappointed me. Even during the bear market it didn't fall as much as other alts did because the team behind it has done wonderful job by developing its strong use case. Now it is being used in all sectors of crypto from DEFI to NFTs and because of its minimal transaction fee ,it remains a preferred choice of traders.
2095  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market is about to pump on: November 12, 2022, 02:45:54 AM
Lmao, Im what universe you are living right now that didn’t know what's the current market condition? Where do you think those money that will pump the market came from while retail investors is scared while VC is already fucked up big time due to Luna and now FTX messed up situation.

FTX and all project that has an exposure on it will surely go publicly announced an exit following this lose. They are just quiet now but surely they will be known on following weeks since the liquidity that loss on FTX is very huge which we don't know who really benefited on it.

I think the market is hovering around its bottom and it is likely to continue sideways for sometimes until next meeting of FED when interest rate will be announced which I think will remain unchanged because the cpi data report of oct-22 signifies that inflation is rapidly coming down and it should have initiated market recovery process, but FTX turmoil was so huge that it changed the sentiment of the market and triggered huge selling.
2096  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who will win, FTX or BINANCE? on: November 12, 2022, 02:06:09 AM
I even don't care who will win. here, the victim is the suers of those exchanges, the investor of FTT, and many people are suffered because of this problem. Why should care about who will win? Whoever the winner, they will never care about us who have been suffering so far. What's happening here, why have two big and top exchanges become like this? And now FTX is really becoming an exchange with very low rank in the CMC. I am sure that both exchanges have their positive and negative sides. But, how some parties spread the FUD and make the FUD much biggger untul crashing the market, this si just a bad way and bad thing.

Binance is likely to win this war not only because it is a cash rich company but also, they are smart player in crypto space, launch new products, believe and continue struggling to improve their trading platform and satisfy their customers with prompt support. No matter whoever wins, they should find some way to compensate who suffered huge losses during this fiasco. The crypto community should raise their voice and put pressure on regulators in each country to avoid repetition of such turmoil in future.

2098  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can we see a huge rise in the price of Dogecoin ? on: November 11, 2022, 06:12:08 AM
The case of Dogecoin for me now will also depend on the move of the whole cryptocurrency market cap or Bitcoin market.
As you can see, Dogecoin became an indicator for every bull run we already experienced because, most of the time, we can see Dogecoin is starting to pump and after that, the whole market follows Bitcoin. (Excluded the Elon Musk Dogecoin tweets)

Dogecoin is worth taking risk because there are rumors in the market that Elon musk might decide to use to make payment of verification fee as well it is in the list of top ten coins on coinmarketcap and daily trading volume is reasonable., though I am least interested in meme coins as most of them have no use case which i think is most important factor to consider when you buy any digital asset.
2099  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation and Deflation of Price and Money Supply on: November 11, 2022, 04:31:56 AM
Inflation and deflation are common things in the country's economy, of course the biggest influencing factor is the circulation of money and supply, when the amount of money in circulation continues to increase, it is certain that inflation will occur. must be able to control both.

Well said. Inflation is the result of increase in money supply but it is not always bad because in inflationary situation people spend money to buy good and services which creates jobs and stimulates growth in economy while deflation means no growth in economy, that is why governments reduce interest rates in deflationary situation to increase money supply to stimulate growth.

The bottom line is inflation at reasonable level is not so bad but when it goes extremely high ( in 2 digits or above like in Turkey & many other developing countries inflation is 70%) then it becomes difficult to buy food and energy for common people of the country.

2100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will FTX became the second Luna? on: November 11, 2022, 02:53:34 AM
It's a shame that FTX, a top 2 exchange that has several advantages compared to other exchanges this time has to slide down very drastically. Trust in FTX immediately fell in just a few hours because of the problems related to the FTT. Either this is intentional because of competition from exchanges or indeed FTX fundamentals are not that strong.

But from here we can understand that no one guarantees anything in the crypto world, even top exchanges. Coins like LUNA can also crash in a very short time, especially shit coins. This indicates that the crypto industry is indeed very risky, therefore we must always be vigilant and up-to-date so that we can anticipate various possibilities. It is possible for FTT to be like LUNA, but I personally don't expect that. Let's try to see first how the development of FTX and how they overcome this.

The price of FTT has not crashed like Luna and it is still trading around $2.88 which gives some hope to its investors that any big investor will acquire this exchange and it will not become second Luna.

The new development in FTX turmoil story is that Bahamas securities regulator has frozen FTX assets and directors of the company won't be able to move assets without the approval of the supreme court.
