I think we should declare this month, International Waiting Month.

We got people waiting for a news or meaningful update re ACTM
We got people waiting for a news or meaningful update re Labcoin
We got people waiting on time critical Avalon chips
We got people waiting on Gox to return monies
We got people waiting to see where BTC/USD is actually heading
We got people waiting to see where certain authorities will focus on next

Theres a whole lot of waiting going on. While we wait......anyone know any jokes? Tongue

Tis fascinating how people interpret whats written in front of them, and its given intent. And then the responses.........oh the irony!

EDIT: Just realised. Its silly season here in Blighty, where news-voids create alternative stories..........while we WAIT for news.  Huh

10 coins have been ordered.  I have 1 remaining if anyone would like to buy it.

I will have it, if you managed to find a stress free way to send to UK.

Can you state why the 'sell' facility is still not functional on the site?

Also, can you explain why the ratio of paid dividends and sales has somewhat reduced for July?

Thanks

We are still awaiting a response from Zipmark regarding our integration with them for both incoming and outgoing payments. I am supposed to speak with them today.

We increased our marketing budget significantly across multiple platforms such as bitcoinmagizine, dailybitcoins.org, and google advertising (all these were non existent in June). Also the price of coin was up, higher coin prices = less BTC on dividend because our profits are in USD.

Thanks for the info. Is the marketing budget likely to increase, decrease, or stay at current monthly expenditure for the near future? Have you noticed a positive response so far?

Just noticed your update on Bitfunder.....  'August 2013 Sales as of 08-11-2013 6:00 PM - $177,755.06!'
Breaking $0.5M at the end of this month, would be impressive.  Smiley

"Do you have any proof that Vbs even knows what he's talking about?"  Huh

Someone please tell me these boards are not really populated by alt-life delusionals who think we didn't go to the moon?
2086  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: August 08, 2013, 09:11:07 AM
Just in case you don't know,  ASICMiner is mining with these oldhat tech 130nm "ASIC" chips.

No, Asicminer is mining with oldhat, but less older, 110nm ones. Labcoin and Btcgarden preferred to go to even older tech at 130nm and promise better chips. Great promises right? Cool

TBH Vbs, i dont really know or understand what those two companies are promising. The lack of easily digestible, and consistent information/communication is at best, questionable.

2091  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTCT.CO] [IPO] [FAQ]BTCGARDEN MINER---Eyes to the horizon on: August 03, 2013, 01:59:30 PM
This seems pretty richly valued for an IPO after sucking up 32,000BTCs on btct.co in short order...then there's another 2,000,000 shares coming at higher prices? That's 6x the daily average on btct.co already poured into the garden in just over a day. I'm not seeing much room for further upside at this point, but good luck fellas.

The panic such comments could trigger  Grin

2 M additional shares may not come for several more months. Will only be issued after a milestone and at a higher price.

Edit: Trying to get some btc back to basic-mining  Grin ?

Interesting take. I think you give my words a bit too much weight if you believe a simple sentence from me has any chance of knocking this 32k company's share price down, but ty for stroking my ego. Smiley

I'm a cryptocurrency investor and have been for far longer than I've been managing any companies. Like many others I'm reviewing this company's potential and making my own decisions on if/when/and how much to invest.

That seems new. That's a wise decision by management IMO.

I can easily see price dropping 30% or even 50% after more such statements from long-time board members. Which can be kind of healthy?

TAT and TF are good for making those kind of statements!
2092  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: August 03, 2013, 12:34:41 PM
When will the speculation based bubble pop and shares trade below IPO? Probably very soon.

Yawn. Very predictable TF. I suppose you will pop your head back in, in about a weeks time, where we will once again benefit from one on your oh-so-wise one-liners again, eh?

Really unattractive.  Sad

2093  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Asset Exchange Marketplace + Rewritable Options Trading on: August 03, 2013, 09:13:24 AM
In my personal opinion the fee structure isn't the issue, the main issue is it takes so long waiting on 6 confirmations to deposit into we exchange. That make arbitrage almost impossible. If the confirmations required was dropped to 3 I think there would be more people arbing and that would increase liquidity.

Just a thought Smiley

Like that ^ !
2094  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Asset Exchange Marketplace + Rewritable Options Trading on: August 03, 2013, 09:09:18 AM
Hey everyone,

A few people have made a suggestion about changing the tiers to be more like

0.5%
0.45%
0.4%
0.35%
0.3%
0.25%

And apply the fee to both buy and sell. It is the thought of a few people that free buy and fee'd sell is bad.

Thoughts? (Yes, I know several people will say lower the fees (and it will increase trades)) unfortunately as I have stated before, I spend way more out of pocket on lawyers at the moment and that is a large risk for me. I might consider doing it for a few days to see if it helps but I am not sure that results would be immediate.)

-Ukyo

Hey Ukyo  Smiley

Do people really have issue with the fees? Im not convinced shaving off fractions of a percent of the current rate, encourages someone to trade more. For me, thats a flawed reason for taking a trade in the first place considering we are accustomed to, and account for, spreads of 5%, 10%, and more.

If increasing trades and liquidity is the issue, maybe users/potential users want and need other tweaks and changes??

Just my thoughts.  Smiley
2095  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: August 03, 2013, 08:04:49 AM
I find it hilarious that "ThickAsThieves" who is...

a) an ASICMINER Board Member; ASICMINER - an established company with similar business plan as the recent upstarts
b) heavily involved in a minor competing exchange to BTCT where neither Labcoin or ActM trade
c) runs several ASICMINER pass throughs
d) has no investments in Labcoin or ActM (or so he says himself)

...goes through lengths to spread misinformation and FUD about the companies where he directly profits if people lose their trust.
As icing on the cake he is also concerned about the overall legitimacy of the market in one sentence and in the next he describes how he bought in to the recent IPO's only to make a quick buck'.

He has his moments, and can be extraordinarily unprofessional. I just hope he is working on this, as it will end up destroying the TAT brand he has built up very successfully. Most of the time, however, he conducts business a professional manner.

TAT comes across as a very shrewd and able business operator. However, a really unpleasant disingenuous character also shows through sometimes. For me, trust, does not prevail.

Those are great July figures you have just posted on profile/description (Bitfunder)  Smiley

Can we expect further comment, and/or your thoughts on the near future?

Hello all!  I just wanted to pass along a few updates while I am onsite meeting with the engineering firm regarding the Avalon clones.  First though, I would like to apologize for the delay on transferring the shares from AMC-TENDER back into your accounts on BitFunder as ActiveMining shares.  It has been a hectic week(s) and I have not had time to get these processed.  I am planning on having all of the tendered shares in AMC-TENDER out the door by end of business Friday along with dividends after the transfer.  I cannot get to these until Friday because I am still on the west coast finalizing some orders of business with the engineers on the prototypes.

Remaining shares that are not in the AMC-TENDER account:

I have talked to Ukyo, hopefully, regarding the remaining shares on AMC BitFunder, and what we can do to get them automatically processed and transferred over to ActiveMining.  At this point, I would like to request that no one else sends me their AMC shares to AMC-TENDER, so that they can all be converted automatically. I will manually tender any remaining shares in the queue before then as well so no one is left behind.

Does that mean we can accumulate/trade AMC shares without worrying about a cut-off time/date now?

Btcinvest and addiction volumes look wrong?

Addiction 24 hr vol right now: 7,655 (฿4091.28694106)

That means they're trading on average at ~0.53?  Seems like something going on.  Options maybe somehow?

Theres more than one other share issue, that has too much volume also. The high/low hasn't been right for months.  Sad
