2101  Other / Politics & Society / Re: FBI decrypting files from Bitfinex hack on: February 08, 2022, 09:46:27 PM
It makes you wonder, how could someone be so smart when it comes to hacking, but so foolish as to what to do with stolen funds.
Because one doesn't need to be too "smart" or technically gifted in order to pull off a hack, especially due to a vulnerability on a website or service. Sometimes hackers discover a vulnerability by mistake or by trying out silly things/tricks  Cheesy
2102  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: February 08, 2022, 09:37:27 PM
This is a little better from Manchester United, not because that they are ahead but they are playing with determination which has been lacking for a long time... Maybe its safe to say that these lads play better without the big names all on the pitch, otherwise so far so good.

I see this match ending 2 nil in favor of united.
Well, I think your two - Nil prediction isn't going to come through as Burnley already equalized, and it's 1-1 in the 75th minute.

Burnley has 7 attempts on target in the second half to Manchester United's 1. I guess we can say that Manchester United are back to their default settings after a good first half  Cheesy

It is claimed that Karim Benzema has demanded a meeting with the Real Madrid president Florentino Perez about the ambiguity of his place here if they sign Erling Haaland this summer. And I understand Benzema very well. He has done more than a well-job so far here. He is having a very productive season now and it is like he is back in his old days. As he really loves to play here, he doesn't want to lose his place in the starting eleven. But if they sign Haaland, I don't think that Benzema can have much chance as long as Haaland plays great.

https://www.onzemondial.com/liga/2020-2021/real-madrid-benzema-serait-agace-par-haaland-et-son-contrat-gros-coup-de-pression-en-vue-759162
Its clear he will fall down the pecking order now that age is about to catch up with him. Real Madrid don't have any serious back up in front. The players that could have helped act as back-ups such as  Jovic and Mariano are nowhere near as good as Benzema. Real Madrid have no choice but to look for another good striker like Haaland. I do understand Benzema's worries, but that's how the footballing world sucks sometimes.
2104  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion Thread || Current discussion: AFCON - Finals. on: February 06, 2022, 09:59:25 PM
Only shame is the missed penalty by Mane in the 5th minute.
Never mind, he scored the winning penalty according to Livescores  Cheesy

Am just looking at the stats of who has won the most trophies when it comes to the Afcon and am shocked to learn that Senegal had not won any not until today after beating the Egyptians on penalties.. Egypt were the team i wanted but the tournaments favorites did not disappoint, they went all the way and won it.
I am very happy for Mane and all the Senegal team for having won it. Mane is a true definition of being a work horse, even in Liverpool ahead of Salah.
I never watched any match of the whole tournament, but could always see updating news online and live scores. It seems Senegal tried as hard as they could even in this final match
2105  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: The scam from exchanging gate.io is to blame for me dying soon on: February 06, 2022, 09:52:19 PM
Sorry about the experience. I have seen so me complaints about gate.io but mostly to do with KYC and for that reason I have never used them before. So many complaints about a certain exchange should be more than enough to alert you that much as you are using them to trade, any time they could decide to scam you too.
2106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: February 06, 2022, 09:29:03 PM
I thought that the absence of key players would greatly affect Liverpool, but this did not happen. They strengthened their positions in second place and no one threatens them, as for the fight for the championship, it has long ended.
Their absence affected them, if you closely watched how Liverpool performed in most matches despite winning them. They had to fight hard to win them.
Biggest shock of  the FA cup to me should be Leicester city vs Nothenham Forest, the premier league side Leicester city lost to a lower division side Rotherham Forest 4 goals to their single goal, and what's even funny is that they fielded a strong team against this lower division team, I think the quality of football from the English premier league teams is dropping fast.
Biggest shock? You are kidding...  Grin
Nottinghm Forest eliminated even Arsenal. Did you expect Leicester City to wallop the 6 to 0?

2107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: February 06, 2022, 08:43:57 PM
I expect a lot of surprise in this champions league edition , chelsea to win it back to back for instance  Grin.
Sometimes it's good to dream too  Grin

It looks like the UEFA Champions League is getting another update sooner or later. This time it is not about adding additional clubs to the competition, but UEFA president Aleksander Čeferin announced the following on a possible "final four" format, which could be one the way for the season 2024/2025 onwards:

Quote
We haven't yet discussed this properly because of the pandemic. But my opinion is it would be great. It should be more competitive and more interesting for the fans.

It's a simple equation to solve - we would just need to compensate clubs for the revenue they would lose from hosting the semi-final matches. That is possible. It would come in for the 2024-25 season at the earliest"

Source: https://twitter.com/iMiaSanMia/status/1490341840192774149

We will have to see how a "final four" format would be designed, I am curious how the developments in this regard will continue in the coming months. Maybe this could finally be a meaningful improvement to the UEFA Champions League.
Another bad update which a personally don't like. Why disrupt the current status of the competitions if things were just going on fine?

Before we realize it, they will be suggesting that the tournament be played in one city. What make champion's league remarkable is those home and away games
2108  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: February 05, 2022, 09:51:44 PM
The difference is that whenever they reach the finals, they are almost always a great team, or they do not make it to the finals at all. They have the most UCL titles of any team, nearly double than the amount at second place, so they are by far the best UCL team in history without a doubt. However reality is that if we could get something like that this year, that would be wonderful to see but also very unlikely as well.

If they could get players like Mbappe and Haaland next season, and if they could get a superstar signing for their defence as well, that three new players would take this team from "good" to one of the best teams in the world, probably the best team. Their midfield is a bit older as well so they could need some changes there too but it is no rush, they could go on one more season with that, hell even Mbappe and Haaland alone would be probably enough. Then we could say they really deserve to be in conversation.
Even the recent season when Real Madrid won the UCL trophy. Lots of people had doubts about Real Madrid ever reaching even the finals but I guess the rest is history.

The current team is actually not bad. It just requires a little polishing up, and they are good to go. They don't necessarily have to buy  super stickers or defenders in order to become favorites

I think asicscryptominers.com is a scam website.
Don't just think it is a scam website. There is no doubt they are absolute scammers.

I also discovered that https://cryptoasicsminers.com also has similar to the above site which automatically makes it a scam too

2110  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.com - Makes things difficult to send BTC, am I the only one? on: February 05, 2022, 05:13:40 PM
Just wanted to give a quick update about this, because I see other people in this forum having problems with blockchain: I saved all my private keys in all my blockchain wallets, after having the initial issue which I described in this thread. So after all I'm not worried anymore about losing any coins, BUT I really need to tell everybody, to stay away from blockchain.com/info
This website has definitely a very strange behaviour. After working months without problems, now the "Send" Buttons on the main page of all my wallets which have quite a good amount inside have disappeared. So currently I'm not able to send any BTC from the website anymore. This happens with different IPs, Browsers and even with different wallets. It seems not to be a general bug, because I couldn't find anyone having the same issue right now. Call me paranoid, but I'm quite sure blockchain is trying to avoid "some users sometimes" to send their coins....

Best Regards
While you warn others not to use Blockchain wallet, you also have a change to avoid it and use a much better software wallet like electrum. Most members have already suggested and shown you how you can import the private keys to another wallet software.

Web wallet are not safe as they are prone to phishing attacks.
2111  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: February 05, 2022, 04:52:00 PM
Barcelona have improved their lineup with Aubameyang two weeks before their Napoli game in the Europa League in Camp Nou. But he might need some time to adapt also. Barcelona will hope him to start playing decently before this game. Because Barcelona's situation is not very good in the La Liga and there is a chance for them not to qualify for the Champions League. Considering that, they might need to get themselves secured by winning the Europa League title as they would qualify for the Champions League group stage directly.
I see so many people are excited about the signing of many strikers by Barcelona, but their problems don't mostly like in the striking line. The issue is the defense is most cases, which has proven to be shaky and leaky.

With all the strikers they have, it's obvious most of them are going to warm the bench.
2112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 05, 2022, 03:31:48 PM
As many clubs has tried signing players of their choice, I can't see any news that Arsenal FC signed any player, I just see the transfer news of their former captain Aubameyang Goin to Barcelona on a loan deal, so I am confused, is it me that didn't see the news or Arsenal did not sign any player.
I show concern because before January, I was hearing that Arsenal are eying so many players but no one show face. I am just an Arsenal fan 🙊 that's why I asked.
As far as I know, they did sign only one player on deadline and most Arsenal fans were furious about how their club released a number of players and signed only one less known player worth only $2 USD. The signed player is from Colorado rapids which is also owned by the boss, so I guess the signed him just for the sake.

2113  Economy / Reputation / Re: Jannn's case discussion thread, continuation from the Address staking thread. on: February 05, 2022, 04:52:26 AM
I agree it's not an logical explanation. As I said I'll wait to see if he shows up again and shed a bit more light on that. I don't think the negative feedback is so big issue to be fixed. Just ranting in the trust feedback is not the right thing to do.
With the evidence and requests for him to sign messages from his other addresses presented in this thread, I doubt if he will show up to prove his "innocence"
This was his last rant in Shasan's Lending service thread. Nothing in it clears his negative reputation in any way except attacking people who left him negative feedback.
2114  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: February 05, 2022, 04:29:58 AM
I see them getting to the final of the Champions league, but I don't see them winning it.A team from England will carry the champions league.
This one is just for your information:

Real Madrid have played 16 Champions League Finals and have lost on 3. They last lost a final in 1981 meaning that they haven't lost a Champions League final in 41 years (source

The three lost finals are
1. Benefica 5:3 Real Madrid - 1961/1962
2. Inter Milan 3:1 Real Madrid - 1963/1964
3. Liverpool 1:0 Real Madrid - 1980/1981
2115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 05, 2022, 04:15:46 AM
Forget the dreams of Zidane at Manchester United already! By the way, I am not at all sure that even Zidane and Zidane will cope with the current state of affairs. It is precisely Pochettino's style of team management that suits Manchester United, because in this Manchester United is like Tottenham, not Paris Saint-Germain. If Zidane for me is a master who knows how to turn a disparate group of stars with their mutually exclusive ambitions into a single team that will make the result itself, then Pochettino was famous for his ability to put a team game from the available players. Also, unfortunately, Pochettino is not an indisputable authority for the stars of Paris Saint-Germain, which Zidane could become.
Not all successful coaches can achieve good results in a short time, and I think the problem with Manchester United is not giving the coaches enough time. Look at how patient Liverpool was with Klopp. I am afraid with the current trend at United, even the likes of Zidane or Pochettino may just end up getting sacked.

I saw it the other day as a sponsored/boosted Facebook post. There were quite a number of comments in it which gave a clue that some people might fall victims since they are so naive about the scam.

The other post seems to have been deleted and this is a new one.

2118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just trying to understand how NFT works when trying to sell on: February 04, 2022, 09:31:34 PM
Sorry if this doesn't make sense I'm just trying to figure out more about NFT, they aren't actually like coins and tokens when trying to sell them right?
True, there has to be a willing buyer on the other side for you to be able top sell your NFT. It's more like buying an Art piece, and then you try auctioning it. Sometimes you will get a buy who will buy your art piece at a good price, sometimes no one will be interested in buying it

No volume or liquidity like tokens and coins listed on exchange, am I right?
You are right
2119  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: February 03, 2022, 09:58:48 PM
It would be great if he could score goals in that match but the adaptation process would have a little effect here, especially since he hasn't played on the field for a long time because Arsenal have punished him and the atmosphere will be a little different at the moment.
I still feel he will have a little influence at least he will be able to mess up the Atletico defense even though he can't score goals but it's not too much of a problem
He will score goals as long as he's supplied with the balls, but I read somewhere that Xavi sometime back said that Aubameyang does not suit Barcelona's style of play. I am not sure why he signed him then. Maybe because he was coming for free?

We shall see how he copes and performs there.
2120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can I see NFTs sent to my TRUST wallet inside Solflare wallet? on: February 03, 2022, 09:20:44 PM
It's a legit wallet and just like trust wallet. If you want to import your address, they will ask for the seed or mnemonic phrase.

It's also recommended in the solana official page under web wallets - https://docs.solana.com/wallet-guide/web-wallets

Phantom wallet seems to be more popular thou.

Just make sure you get the extension or app from the official site. There are so many phishing sites out there.
