Consider using Electrum Litecoin instead, and use a Trezor to hold your private keys and sign transactions. I never use a full node anymore if there is a hardware wallet solution. |

You should have to start that a bitcoin faucet, but not only a one page faucet, try to implement that faucet in our blog or any other interesting website so that people spend some more time at your site and people come to your site not only for claiming the bits but also for getting some knowledge and entertainment also.
That is what 99bitcoins did, they have been a very popular bitcoin website with high traffic and even so called their faucet a failure. Faucets are DOA now and will be replaced with some new advertising hook to be determined. Forget about faucets and spend your time looking for that new promotional tool that will take the place of faucets. |

You need a LOT of traffic these days to make money running a faucet.
Cryptohydrant was one of the best, most well designed faucets I've ever seen, and they were losing money and shut down. (Just a couple weeks ago)
Unless you are getting tens of thousands of hits a day, and display a ton of ads, you aren't going to make money.
There was a post where a faucet operator showed how most of his sites were actually losing hundreds of dollars a month.

If you do not have personal possesion of the private keys to your bitcoin addresses all you have is really just an IOU. And the private keys should be offline safe from bitcoin stealing malware. You really need a hardware wallet if you hold more than a bitcoin. For less than a bitcoin the most secure phone wallet is Breadwallet. |

I have three recommendations. If you don't have a high budget buy a Ledger Nano/Ledger HW.1 (HW.1 is exactly the same but may not be of as high build standard as the former) But if you have more funds, buy a Trezor or a Ledger Nano S (I prefer the Trezor as it isn't HD) Or you can wait for the Trezor 2  Trezor itself is not a wallet but it does support BIP32 and HD wallets. It holds your bitcoin private keys securely offline and signs transactions. |

Costs too much. If you have an Android phone running Marshmallow Breadwallet uses your fingerprint to authorize, just like Case, and uses hardware level encryption. If you have an iPhone or newer Android Breadwallet is a good choice. I would have no problem keeping 10 bitcoin or more in Breadwallet. Trezor has a sale on now so you can pick one up for $79 using the code bitfinex, and it works great with Mycelium on Android. |

So, paper wallet created on air gapped computer seems to be the most secure. But it has downsides like hard to spend if needed, could be lost, could get destroyed (sure keep several copies).
I guess there's also Trezor, but that cost money and I guess could become damaged.
You can laminate your paper wallets, this way it can last longer and only theft or a fire is a issue. The trezor comes with paper sheet where you write your 24 words seed to recover your trezor wallet anytime if your trezor become damaged or lost. If you have spare 1/8 BTC for the trezor, buy it. If not, laminated paper wallets is good option as well. When you are creating a paper wallet, any malware on your computer can read the private keys. If you print out the paper wallet the attack surface is increased as your private key will be sent out over your network unencrypted. Even if you use an encrypted paper wallet you are still in danger from keyloggers. A hardware wallet is immune to these attacks. |

I do need a secure wallet, I was thinking cold storage but it's a long process to use them. Case seems like a really good option. I just feel like it may be outdated with a newer hardware wallet soon. Case is a multisignature wallet. You can buy a Trezor right now at a discount and use it with Mycelium on your phone if you like. You will always have sole possession of your private keys stored safely away in the Trezor. |

For the trezor, you are going to spend around $100. So that is a chunk of change that could be better spent. If you are looking for a secure cold storage, and know you will have no need to access the coins until you are ready to do so, do a paper wallet. It's simple and cheap!
You do not have to spend $99 for a Trezor. You can buy a Ledger Nano S for $65 that will do the job just fine. Any hardware wallet is better than a paper wallet for most users, unless you understand the pitfalls of paper wallets and how to avoid them. |

I bought one when they came out last year. This was before Android Marshmallow came out. Now I leave the Case at home and just use Breadwallet on Android as Marshmallow requires fingerprint verification to log in. I would put the $199 into a new phone instead if you do not have the latest iPhone or Nexus. |

Thank you for this compilation! According to the information I read in TREZOR's thread a new TREZOR is about to be released. Will I be able to see in the thread so is this thread still updated? If yes, could you please check the invalid pictures or is it just me?
You probably will not see a photo of the Trezor 2.0 until the Hackathon at the end of September and not be able to buy until end of year from rumours I have heard. |
