Converted some BTC in to USD (cash by mail) a few months ago. Other than that never did much of online shopping using BTC.

Now they are trying to reach of from the EU.  Smiley

I don't know how long the EU can sustain itself. EU is another USSR in the making. The "rich" nations such as Germany and the UK are financing bankrupt ones such as Greece and Romania. Add Ukraine in to the equation, and we can expect a complete collapse in the near future.

http://www.smh.com.au/it-pro/business-it/the-next-currency-killer-african-emoney-mpesa-20140331-zqp9j.html

All the talk of Bitcoin in recent years has overshadowed the real e-finance revolution: in Africa, India and now Eastern Europe, a service called M-Pesa has replaced banking for millions of people who don't have or, in fact, even need a bank account.

Great news from Africa!!
21031  Bitcoin / Press / [2014-04-1] Wired - Hackers Turn Security Camera DVRs Into Worst Bitcoin Miners on: April 02, 2014, 05:01:46 AM
How far this can get? Ridiculous.

http://www.wired.com/2014/04/hikvision/

Quote
The issue was first reported by Johannes Ullrich, an instructor at the SANS Technology Institute — a computer security training organization. Last Friday, he discovered malicious software infecting the Hikvision DVRs used to record video from security cameras. The malware jumps from device to device, trying to infect any other machines it can find on the network. But it also tries to earn a little scratch for its creators by mining bitcoins, a processor-intensive activity that would probably slow down any infected DVR.

The native Marquesans of that region were famous for their cannibalism in the 18th and 19th centuries.  Grin

Some people think that it is even continuing to this day.  Grin

21034  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-04-1] Quartz- Bitcoin looks like the worst investment in the world This Yr on: April 02, 2014, 04:39:41 AM
I purchased BTCs when they were going at $15 apiece. It is the best investment I've ever made in my life.
21035  Other / Politics & Society / Re: is time for Transnistria to join russia ? on: April 02, 2014, 04:34:42 AM
In the moment that soviets too Moldova and transnistria  they killed all the men and forced the women and the kids to leave their homes and move in Siberia.

So the Soviets killed all the native men. Then they deported the women and kids to Siberia. And then they repopulated the area with Russians.

According to your theory, there are only Russians out there. Therefore the region should become a part of Russia. Period.
21036  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Real Time Socialist Train Wreck (again) Happening Now in Venezuela on: April 02, 2014, 04:32:42 AM
I agree. 39 dead is not enough. The Venezuelan government should do its best to improve those numbers...

Compare it to the millions the US has killed in Iraq.

21038  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WARNING: PAYPAL STARTED MASSIVE ACCOUNT BAN ON ANYTHING BITCOIN RELATED on: April 02, 2014, 04:20:53 AM
Paypal's market cap is $72 billion, compare to a $6 billion market cap for bitcoin.   When bitcoin's market cap can dwarf that, then you can say that.

Market cap of Ebay is $ 72 b. That of Paypal is much lower.
21039  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Vladimir Putin nominated for Nobel Peace Prize on: April 02, 2014, 04:17:18 AM

Earlier there were a few online stores, such as BMR and Bitmunitions which accepted BTCs. All of them closed down unfortunately.
