21761  Other / Politics & Society / Re: All Wars are Bankers' Wars on: January 01, 2014, 04:44:27 PM
History shows us that the central banking magnates were responsible for financing both sides of many to most wars in recent history.

I'd agree here. Only two types of people benefit from wars. The first one are private security contractors (or mercenaries to be precise). The second type are the bankers.
21762  Other / Politics & Society / Re: P2P Communism on: January 01, 2014, 04:43:28 PM
Communism itself is a failed ideoogy. And he now launches the P2P communism. The trouble with communism is that eventually you run out of other people's money.
21763  Other / Off-topic / Re: When 1 BTC = $10k, I will blow an entire bitcoin on hookers and blow on: January 01, 2014, 04:40:01 PM
If one day bitcoin reaches 10k I will make the biggest orgy in Norway

Hmm.. how many coins you are going to spend on it? I have heard about Arab sheikhs from UAE who spends upward of 1 million USD for similar trips to Eastern Europe.

And BTW... since you are residing in Norway, be ready to pay the VAT on Bitcoins.

21765  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin does not work for porn on: January 01, 2014, 04:35:51 PM
explain better please, about what is that?

Webcam sites are in grow, you can check it.
Recorded video sales are down, but there still huge money in circulation

Here are news about bitcoin in adult industry.

Webcams represent just a tiny fraction of the porn revenue. Most of the revenue still comes from DVD sales and rentals.

And regarding the US revenues, even with a population of 300 million+, the revenues are lower when compared to Japan and South Korea.
21766  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin does not work for porn on: January 01, 2014, 03:38:29 PM
Users, and that money flow you can see yourself, go to myfreecams.com

Also, somewhere I read that the per capita spending for porn is highest in Japan and South Korea. Volumes are higher in the US / EU, but the revenue is not there.  Roll Eyes
21767  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-12-30 FocusTaiwan - Government warns of risk in dealing with Bitcoin on: January 01, 2014, 03:35:24 PM
I see, that is a harmless warning, not a ban.
"investors will bear full responsibility for any losses themselves" - is about to not be brainless, to sell own Home or all money in only one bitcoin.

Well... I'll be a bit more skeptical. When the news from China came out, at least initially, everyone were saying that it was just a warning. Only after a day to two it emerged that all transactions are blocked there.  Angry

Well... it is more or less banned in both the nations. So I am not sure.  Smiley

The Bitcoin saga took an unpleasant turn this December when China’s central bank banned financial institutions from dealing in the virtual currency. Bitcoin was enjoying a surge of popularity in the country; by the end of November, Chinese exchanges were responsible for almost two-thirds of worldwide traffic. The central bank’s decision sent the currency tumbling.

lol... is there a single ASIC manufacturer out there whom we can trust?  Grin

A group of Bitcoin miners that bought into the hype surrounding one particular manufacturer, HashFast, are reportedly examining legal options after the company repeatedly failed to deliver on its hardware and is only now beginning to ship products promised in October (and refusing to give full refunds). The problems illustrate many of the teething problems within the Bitcoin network, as well as the fundamental difficulty of making money by mining the cryptocurrency.

Voted YES. But there is no option in Surveymoney to watch the results. Is there one?
21771  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2013-12-30 FocusTaiwan - Government warns of risk in dealing with Bitcoin on: January 01, 2014, 03:28:25 PM
So.. what about this? Just a few hours ago I wrote an article about how Bitcoin users from China are flocking to Taiwan to trade with their coins. Everything gone now?

They are HORRIBLE speakers

That doesn't matter much. They had given the much needed publicity for Bitcoin when we were desperate for some. I don't want to be ungrateful.  Grin
21773  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will this cause France to get into Bitcoin - 75% Tax on Rich on: January 01, 2014, 03:22:52 PM
Let's just dispense right now with the notion that how much money you make is proportional to personal effort. That is an insult to school teachers, police, scientists - well, pretty much anyone who earns a wage for services.

Let's not group the school teachers with police and scientists. The cops and the researchers work hard, so we can't blame them. The teachers on the other hand, have proliferated with the support from their unions. They work for less than 10 hours a week, and carry almost four times the salary which an average council worker (who works for 60 h / week) receives. And what do they do? They just brainwash the students with their political messages. No one is going to disagree if I claim that the quality of teaching has gone down the drain for the last few decades or so.
21774  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: VISA and Mastercard vs. Bitcoin on: January 01, 2014, 03:18:32 PM
I would not consider Apple to be "a major global player". In my opinion their stock is ludicrously over valued and their proprietary products are based soley on bloviated PR.

I would agree. Apple is losing its market share to Samsung. So I don't care whether they hate Bitcoins or not. Their arrogance is causing their downfall.
21775  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin does not work for porn on: January 01, 2014, 03:15:58 PM
I dunno I had high hopes for sex coin but then there seems to be v weak development going for it and weak marketing and poor infrastructure. There is also no vision driving it.

I think eMunie has a better chance on being adopted By porn

The proliferation of all these altcoins will end up doing a lot of harm for Bitcoin. What is the point in all these? One coin for porn, another for shopping.. like that? Why can't we use BTC for all of these purposes?
21776  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I am Satoshi on: January 01, 2014, 02:46:43 PM
I'd have considered purchasing it. But the site doesn't have an option to make payment through Bitcoin. Also, don't you think it is a bit over-priced?
21777  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: $5,000 budget on: January 01, 2014, 02:44:55 PM
You should seriously look in to buying used asics from sites such as Ebay. Difficulty and Hashrate is increasing every hour or so. So more delay means more monetary loss.  Huh
21778  Other / Off-topic / Re: Stop buying cigarettes and invest each pack in BTC Enroll in the program ! on: January 01, 2014, 02:42:52 PM
One of my friends once bought a 200-pack from Bitmit for 0.4 BTC (at that time BTC was around $100). He don't even want to discuss about that purchase now.  Grin
21779  Other / Off-topic / Re: What are you drinking on new year? on: January 01, 2014, 02:40:55 PM
I had 4 pegs of Staroplzenecky Absinthe. Bought with my CC, as they don't accept BTC.

21780  Other / Off-topic / Re: When 1 BTC = $10k, I will blow an entire bitcoin on hookers and blow on: January 01, 2014, 02:38:50 PM
You're saying you wouldn't for 200 btc? When it gets back up to, if not over, 1k per that'd be 200k bucks...just for doing that deed one time! Not saying I WANT to, saying for that much money I'll be one once in my life.

What is the difference in doing these sort of things for $10 or 200K. Everything is the same. You are not different from someone who is doing it for $10.  Angry
