21101  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Vote for secession of Alaska from the United States and joining Russia on: March 24, 2014, 08:50:22 AM
I doubt United States would give back Alaska without a World War III. The petition is a joke.

Everyone knows that the petition is a joke. The only possibility of Russian regaining Alaska is in the event of disintegration of the USA.
21102  Economy / Economics / Re: VISA & MASTERCARD has cut Russian banks. Cardholders cannot access money. on: March 24, 2014, 04:50:01 AM
This is going to backfire on the Visa / Master. The Russians are not that stupid. In a matter of few months they will dump VISA/ Master all together.
21103  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Vote for secession of Alaska from the United States and joining Russia on: March 24, 2014, 04:47:03 AM
The 1867 Alaska purchase is invalid. Here is the reason why:

1. Tsar Alexander II, who signed the Alaska purchase was high on crystal meth when he did so.
2. USA paid just $4.74 per sq.km to Russia, which was abysmally low.
3. USA undertook a brutal extermination campaign against the native Alaskans after they got control of the territory.

Paypal has more advantages over google.

Right now, may be. But it'll change over time.
21105  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Crimea on: March 24, 2014, 02:34:47 AM
Situation is typical... 50-70% joins the new government, remaining part resigns or leaves the country...

That means that large number of soldiers from Central Ukraine (esp. Kiev) have also decided to dump their Ukrainian passports. Not a good sign for Tymoshenko and her allies.

She had a plenty of criminal cases in her practice, including the serial murder cases.

Which serial murder case?

Putin is clever. He knows that Obama thinks with his D*ck, and not with his brain.

Any more Ukrainian soldiers remaining in Crimea?

If you burn the national flag, in a western European country or in Russia, where will you get the harshest penalty?

It might seem that the punishment in Russia is relatively less harsh compared to EU countries like Portugal. But you should remember that serving 3 months in a Russian penal colony is much more difficult that serving 20 years in a Portuguese prison. Russian prisons are absolute hellholes. Normal people won't survive for long duration.

In Chernivtsi, they call themselves Romanian. In Odessa, they call themselves Moldvin. Both options are given during the census. They pick their choice.
21111  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russia Invades Ukraine. Whats next? on: March 24, 2014, 12:54:59 AM

Romanians are only around 20% of the population in Chernivtsi. Similarly, only around 12% of the population of Trans-Carpathia is Maghiari, with the remainder mostly consisting of Ruthenians. However Lviv, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne and Volyn will be better with Poland.

Odessa is home to large minorities of Moldvins, Bulgars, Russians and Gagauz (esp.in Budzak). There is a large Greek minority in Donetsk (esp. in Mariupol). Russians are near majority in Luhansk, Donetsk and Kharkiv.

Most of the Britons want UK to leave the EU.
21115  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Meanwhile in Ukraine... Revolution. on: March 23, 2014, 02:12:07 PM
Which begs the question, why not organise a referendum there, the results of which will surely indicate the wish for reunification with Poland. And I think the official Poland will not be opposed to this (though I read some comments from the ordinary Poles, who are not too keen on the idea). Everyone will be happy - NATO, EU, Poland, Cossacks. The only ones who will be unhappy, are the ethnic Russians living in that Western region, but they are a minority there, so they'll have to either live with the results or migrate.

Well... western Ukraine is not ethnically homogeneous.... there are regions having majority populations from the Magyar, Ruthenian, Bulgarian, Moldvin and Gagauz ethnic groups.

The owners of BTC-E are 100% Russian. What will happen if EU / US / NATO impose sanctions on BTC-E?
21118  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Meanwhile in Ukraine... Revolution. on: March 23, 2014, 05:19:39 AM
The Kuban Cossacks, who led the revolts against Poland, absolutely hate the Ukrainian state - even though, for all intensive purposes, these Kuban Cossacks are Ukrainian (as noted per their culture and customs).

Kuban Cossacks don't hate Ukrainians. However, they hate those radical pro-EU types from Lviv and Ternopil.

These areas (Lviv, Ternopil.etc) were originally part of Poland which were merged with Ukraine after the WW2. So the Kuban Cossacks identify the people who are native to these areas with ethnic Poles, their arch rivals.

6) Check & Mate. Recognition is only a matter of time. Roll Eyes

Very simple. Kosovo for Crimea.
21120  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Crimea on: March 23, 2014, 04:24:37 AM
Most of the ethnic Ukrainians and ethnic Russians living in Crimea already have Russian citizenship. But none of the Muslims have it. So there is going to be some problems.
