PSG are of course the favourite side however the odd gap is not too high either. Marseille are the home team which is a big factor for that. Besides Marseille have been doing a great job for many weeks as well. They have been able to maintain the five-point difference thanks to a good form. It is lovely to see this title race alive as well because we aren't used to see this often. PSG have mostly dominated the league for so many years.
You know that Marseille defeated PSG in the Coupe de France a few weeks before. It isn't impossible for them to do this again as well of course. Besides PSG have had problems against this kind of teams in away matches so far. It is better to be careful before betting on PSG I think.

Mourinho has been eager to go back to Chelsea according to speculations. But I'm not sure if he can make this team better. I don't like his style much when he adopts a cautious game after getting ahead in a match.
I honestly doubt that a third stint/spell for Mou in Chelsea is possible, after his first spell as Chelsea boss from 2004-2007, and with the trophies he won at the club, he was adored by the fans, they loved him, and that gave him the opportunity to return again as head coach from 2013-2015, and even though he won another EPL title in his second spell as manager, he didn't quite leave on good terms with the fans and the Chelsea board (though it's a different hierarchy right now). Having said that, remember that afterwards Mou has coached both Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, both of which are Chelsea's rivals, and if i remember correctly he had somewhat of a clash with the fans when he returned to Stamford Bridge as Manchester United's manager, all of these makes it quite difficult for him to come back to the club. Anyway Mourinho is currently enjoying his time at Roma, and i think if he is to move from Italy, he would prolly go and coach PSG. Yeah actually I would also like to see Mourinho continuing to manage Roma as long as they have a decent run in the Serie A. Now things are going on quite good for them as for their chance to qualify for the Champions League. If they manage to make it there then I don't think Roma would like to lose Mourinho to any team either. But there is still time for the end of the season and it is early to be sure of something. I don't know if PSG would prioritize Mourinho in case they sack Galtier at the end of the season. Maybe they would prefer a manager who likes to play more offensive considering the trio on the front. |

Sevilla are a really interesting team when it comes to the Europa League. I mean they still manage to stay strong in this tournament despite their having a bad season in the La Liga. We don't see many teams being able to do these at the same time. Because I don't think Sevilla players have a high level of morale after their general results in their league. Yeah there is some improvement in the recent ones but still they are quite weak in big matches especially.
Considering that people were right about doubting therm against PSV. But Sevilla proven how determined they were here at least. I guess they wouldn't lose this big advantage from here.

I expect a clear victory by Manchester City tonight. I don't think Leipzig have the strength to resist them much now. I'm aware of how good Leipzig have been in the Bundesliga. And they have done quite a good job in the Champions League as well. They defeated Real Madrid home in a group match. However I think this is the end for them. Besides Real Madrid wouldn't lose that match to them easily if it was a much more important match for them.
Leipzig will come across one of the biggest challenges in the Champions League and fail most probably. A victory by two goals for Manchester City seems nice to me.

Potter thinks he isn't the main reason for Chelsea's bad run now. But I really don't know about this. It still feels like Tuchel would have made this team better if he was given more time. Chelsea should just find a fitting manager for the team before seriously thinking about sacking Potter. The right manager should be an experienced and successful one as well. Potter doesn't have a career in which he worked with big teams mostly. He just had a great time period with Brighton and impressed people.

I actually think there might be a surprising result in the Frankfurt vs Napoli match. I mean Frankfurt might manage to get a surprising win in Germany and make some difficulties for Napoli. Because I think this kind of teams are not ones that should be underestimated. We all watched what Villarreal did in the previous season. They eliminated much bigger teams like Bayern Munich and Juventus here. Who knows maybe Franfurt can also do the unexpected from them.
Napoli have been a very solid run indeed. They will be surely motivated for this match. But this arena is much more difficult than the Serie A so they should be extra careful.

If you are in the 10th position in a pool consisting of 16 participants then you wouldn't absolutely think that you are successful. However I think my performance has been just fine so far. My finishing another pool as the 27th among 224 people also proves this. In short, I can say comfortably this pool is the most difficult one I have ever joined. I respect the football knowledge of all the people in this pool  I hope you slow down by a little on next weeks.  What about if you're 14/16? Would one say I should just give up and find something else to do with my free time? At this point, should I be taking upsets all the time now (so we don't end up like today all not gaining any points because of Lecce)? Or at least putting in strange scores? I mean, I'm only doing better because most likely the 2 guys below me aren't even putting picks anymore =D As Trofo said, it would be really meaningless to give up in this kind of pools. Because you can win much more than the pool entry fee with a good performance on 1 week. Here, one should really thank the sponsors. They are increasing the level of fun in pools. |

It cost me too much that Liverpool couldn't benefit from numerous goal opportunities after getting 2-0 ahead against Everton on the previous week. Still it is nice to have a consolation prize. I was thinking that Liverpool would be victorious against Newcastle. However the game on the field didn't satisfy me at all. If they can't step up a gear against Real Madrid I think Liverpool will have a quite difficult job.

If I didn't forget about making prediction after the returnal of the World Cup I would have been higher in the pool. As our points are very close to each other it is very difficult to atone for a mistake like this. But I will do my best. It feels like Chelsea are rushing things for no reason about making Felix's deal permanent now.
At least the speculations say that they are planning to sign him on a permanent deal soon. But instead I think they should wait and see how he will perform in the rest of the season first. Then they can make a decision about this transfer. I know that they are eager to solve their striker issue completely as soon as possible. But this season is already wasted for them. So they had better move on more carefully about deciding upon their attacking line. They will have the whole summer ahead as well. Maybe there will be a better opportunity than even Felix.

Congrats to Eternal Fire on their important victory over Into the Breach by 2-0. It was a quite comfortable series for them by the way. There was a great show by XANTARES on both maps as usual. I believe he is really like the key player for this team. If it weren't for his fragging skills the team would have had bigger problems than now. Even now I can't say they are too consistent but hopefully they will get better in time. The chemistry and strategies will get stronger as they play more matches together.
Now we are going to be able to watch them in the RMR. I have good expectations from them there. They should make it to the Major as long as they get well-prepared for the RMR.

It was like we have seen two different halves in the Auxerre vs Lyon match. Lyon were pretty good in the first half and finished it 1-0 ahead. But something changed in the other half.
There was a significant level of improvement in Auxerre's effort. This helped them make a really great comeback against a much tougher opponent. Actually both of their goals came due to defensive mistakes. The first one came due to causing a penalty. The second one was due to a defender's not being able to mark his man well. It was so easy for Jubal to finish it later on. If Lyon can't defeat a team that are trying to cling to the Ligue 1 then there is a serious issue there.

It was a really unbelievable match for Manchester City. Nottingham were like they were in defense all the time. They were desperately trying to fend off Manchester City attacks. Manchester City found so many opportunities to score more goals. Especially the one Haaland wasted was hard to believe. First his shot hit the post and right after that he missed the target on another absolute goal chance. They were very incapable about finishing today in short.
Nottingham were able to score by a counter-attack in a very unexpected time. They got into the penalty area so easily that I couldn't even understand. This week was another chance for Arsenal to take the lead again.

I agree with this. Benzema was there in the World Cup contest as who scores the most goals for France. A day later Benzema got injured and he was removed from the squad.
