I thought that Juventus were interested in Lukaku on the condition that Vlahovic leaves. There are Vlahovic, Kean and Milik as the first choices in the centre-forward position for Juventus now. There is the youngster Kaio Jorge as well but he is like last resort for Allegri. Thinking that Allegri's most used formation is 3-5-2 flat it would be better to have 2 reliable forwards in the subs rather than 1. Hence I think it would still be nice to bring Lukaku no matter what happens about Vlahovic's future. However the competition among the centre-forwards will get even more heated. I wonder if this would push Lukaku to work harder to earn his place in the starting eleven. |

There is a new speculation out like UEFA might think of accepting Saudi teams into the Champions League as well as of the 2024/25 season.
If this really happens this can change many things in this sport. Many more players can start to think that it is worth joining those teams more than before. Just think about that, Saudi teams will also be able to play in the most prestigious tournament in Europe. Players can still compete here while making tons of money. This will probably make sense for more players.

I would be very happy if that were true (and probably Ronaldo would be very happy too as he was able to continue to improve his perpetual record), but it seems to me that UEFA will never go for it. If players from Europe who left for Saudi Arabia retain the opportunity to play in the Champions League, then the flow there will only increase and the situation in Europe will worsen even more. If such thing happens I'm pretty confident Ronaldo would postpone his retirement plans if there is any.  He can start to play more competitive than before surely. He said that he believed the Saudi league to become a much more prestigious league in the future. It looks like he is likely to turn out to be right later on. Considering how Saudi teams are strengthening their squads they might even be competitive for the Champions League title in the long run maybe who knows. Because they are paying a really huge sum of money for the players they sign and they can increase the bonuses a lot for winning the tournament as well to be more competitive. But for now this is all an assumption of course. Let's see if UEFA will really do this then. |

After seeing Galatasaray like that in the Champions League match I was thoughtful about Fenerbahçe a little as well. Because Turkish teams really surprise us even in such easy matches in European cups sometimes. Thankfully a similar scenario didn't happen for Fenerbahçe. It was absolutely a comfortable match for us. Ferdi Kadıoğlu's goal was really lovely to watch by the way. It was like all of our new transfers played an important role in this win here.
Dzeko's performance was also impressive with a goal and two assists. Maybe the opponent was weak but it is important for the players to increase their motivation more for the new season.

Tottenham have started to think about with whom they can replace Kane. Because the chairman Levy has been given an ultimatum to sell Kane this summer. When it comes to Ricciardo and Tsunoda I think Ricciardo will have a more successful time period than his teammate in the rest of the season. There is a very visible gap between two drivers in terms of skills and experience. Ricciardo finished his first race at AlphaTauri ahead of Tsunoda already. He did it despite the crash at the beginning of the race. I don't think Tsunoda can do better than Ricciardo as a result. |

As Mbappe's contract worth is going over 700m euros only with the image rights Mbappe mustn't have liked the deal that much. Because I have seen on the news that he has rejected the offer. PSG believe he has just made up his mind about joining only Real Madrid now. By the way they showed it on the media like he will get that much money as a salary.
However his salary is actually 200m euros. It is still like double the sum of money he earns at PSG though. But Mbappe is still not keen on leaving Europe for that offer.
In this case I will just expect him to stay at PSG for one last season and join Real Madrid after.

Xavi is really doing well right now. Barcelona have made a big progress in the La Liga since he started to manage the team. It was such a dominant championship last season. But of course the board's expectations would be bigger than that this season. Not only winning the La Liga title but also doing an impressive work in the Champions League will be important for them. Galatasaray was terrible last night against Zalgiris. I think Zalgiris was physically much better than Galatasaray. Probably Galatasaray players are still living in holiday mentally. Galatasaray is just lucky that they could get draw so I am sure they will beat Zalgiris next match. Especially with Bakambu. But for next elimination matches we may see Galatasaray going back home much earlier than expected.

Maybe they couldn't get used to playing in that stadium or it is just about warming up for the new season just yet. Zalgiris found really important chances with through and long balls. If it wasn't for Muslera who knows how this match could have finished. Zalgiris defense was quite weak in fact. Galatasaray attackers were so comfortable at getting past defenders on one-on-ones. But the problem was with finishing skills. Zaniolo wasted some chances as well. However the rematch should be different than this. Galatasaray have a huge advantage in home stadium. Red Bull have the fastest car on the grid by far now. As Verstappen is one of the most skilled drivers too this combination brings about a huge domination in this sport. It was the same for Hamilton when we were in the turbo hybrid era. Now Red Bull have captured the domination from Mercedes. (Schumi won 13 races in the 2004 season, again, Vettel won the last 9 races of the 2013 season in a row, as well as won 13 races that season.) Hamilton dominated between 2014-2020 (except the year Rosberg became champion), but Bottas and Vettel were a little close to him until a certain point in the season. If we come to this year, we are witnessing a heavy domination. As for the race, Verstappen is just at 1, we can say that the rest competed among themselves. I'm not sure I can enjoy this much of a domination, it is literally too much. Sometimes we get lucky about not seeing a heavy domination by only one driver. The 2021 season was just like that. Liverpool were really impressive in the 2021/22 season of the Champions League. They made it to the finale even though they couldn't become champions. But last season things went really sideways for Liverpool. They actually seemed better in the Champions League compared to their effort in the EPL. But still it wasn't enough to get even near the finale. Despite having a wonderful squad there were still serious issues to be solved in-team. We started to see them pulling themselves together only in late times of the season.
Mane's departure was another thing that affected their performance and especially Salah's in a negative way. But since they started to do better recently I will be expecting to see a stronger team this season.
