2141  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Announcement] Avalon ASIC Batch #1 Ships on: March 11, 2013, 10:10:27 AM

I'm in the US. The sender address on the waybill is:
MR LIJIAO
BEIJING FEIXIANG CO LTD
C/O YFHEX
2RD INDUSTRIAL DISTRIC HOU RUI VILL
XIXIANG TOWN BAOAN DISTRI SHENZHEN
HONG KONG
HONG KONG
Sender Acct 631053015

Tnx! but it didn't help me.. accordin to DHL search query had no results, please ask sender for package ID or tracking number...
What i did is:
1. I was lucky and found extremely polite DHL officer on the line
2. The above data did not help me either
3. The dhl lady made a query for ALL shipments originated from HK to my country

And yeah baby she found found it Smiley The problem was that there was no Space between my name and company name Smiley Someone was in a hurry and that was the reason nothing to pop up before

Telling my name company was not helping for at least 5 previous attempts

I am praying to god my F5 key to survive for the next couple of days Smiley

2142  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Announcement] Avalon ASIC Batch #1 Ships on: March 11, 2013, 07:44:41 AM
I'm in Europe, called DHL, they had nothing for me.. since 6th of March no packages addressed to me.
Don't forget to tell them the origin of the package is Hong Kong, not China

I told them Hong Kong.. Didn't even mention China at all.
Guy's
Those of you who got the avalons - EU, US, HK - Please share sender details of your shipment (invoice). Basically if something is wrong with receiver (our) details, the other way around is to look for our toys using HK as origin and sender details. I have checked with DHL a couple of times and still nothing. I would very much like to be able to make another try and look for it telling the DHL the sender details.
Thank you very much in advance

I work for a university, do oceanographic research and system development. everything from submersibles and ocean engineering to laser imaging. I love this stuff. All of my stuff is leased or temporary so I never stay in one place very long.

You are sooooooo lucky..You are a free man! .Seems very nice what you do

Good Luck dude:)

2144  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [AVALON] - I got my ASIC Thread (Batch #2) on: March 10, 2013, 03:03:26 PM
I'm order 200000300. In batch1, between part 1 and part 2. I still haven't heard anything. I requested EMS for my order ( since I live on a boat ).  Still waiting myself. I also ordered in batch 2. Can't wait for my Avalon farm to arrive.

I'd also love to know when we can order the upgrade modules.
On a boat?
I am jealous are you diving?

Bad luck, go away we tellz you!

Yeaah our luck sucks for late 10 days or so. By the way does anybody know how long can it take according to math for us to equalize to 50%

As far as i know we shall hit 50% (for those of us consciously mining here) as average no matter what we do. I am curious Huh
2147  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [AVALON] - I got my ASIC Thread (Batch #2) on: March 10, 2013, 10:36:38 AM
It's March 10th, Avalon batch 2 should ship now!
Dude,
I am on the queue for both 1 and 2 batches and i still do not have my batch 1  unit. Most of the batch 1 dudes also. How do you think batch 2 should ship?

Do not forget that it is almost one month table in order for batch 2 to complete shipping as announced.
relax and wait ..being nervous is not helping anybody   Smiley

Shipping just one batch 2 unit, but not yours will not going to make you happy
2148  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Question: Where can I find Avalon ASIC Batch #1 install guide? on: March 10, 2013, 10:15:15 AM
@loshia

I see. Want to post the debugging info/report but don't know where to find it..
PM me a teamwier to your Windows box near by your avalon:)
2149  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Question: Where can I find Avalon ASIC Batch #1 install guide? on: March 10, 2013, 09:25:20 AM
@loshia

Yes,  latest openwrt image has been upgraded.
Did you mean I need to connect Avalon to PC via the WR703N board not from the controller board?

I think it does not matter if you will use PC or WR703N.
What about debug cgminer output as suggested can you post this
2150  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Question: Where can I find Avalon ASIC Batch #1 install guide? on: March 10, 2013, 08:51:29 AM
@techwtf
These has been done. So there might by other problem?

@loshia
ls -la /dev/ttyU* showing /dev/ttyUSB0,
P5 has been removed,
USB cables OK,
plug USB cable from Avalon controller board to windows found RT232R USB UART.

Fuck ...Did you upgrade to latest openwrt image?

Please check if your cigminer starts with -S/dev/ttyUSB0

There are two things left - Power cabels from PDu to each Avalon to be faulty, or interface cables to be faulty...

The easiest is to upgrade image first...then manually start cgminer with appropriate ttyUSB

And finaly check all boards one by one.
1. Leave only one AVALON ASIC board powered and start cgminer with
http://en.qi-hardware.com/wiki/Avalon

115200:8:10:45:282.
Check both three of them one buy one. There might be faulty board (or cables/power) doing this you will know which one has problems

2151  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Question: Where can I find Avalon ASIC Batch #1 install guide? on: March 10, 2013, 08:18:02 AM
@loshia

Yes, the USB hub has been changed by a workable one. And been connected to PC, but when running ./cgminer it come out: "All devices disabled, canot mine!"  Cry

Check Usb Cables
inspect dmesg Wr703 and see all masages about USB and FTTDI
ls -la /dev/ttyU* should tell you if you can see the usb

Remove jumper p5 and just plug USB cable from avalon to any windows just to save time you should see found new USB device bla bla if you see it it will work in Linux if not something is wrong

Again change all usb cables first
2152  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon ASIC users thread on: March 10, 2013, 06:59:45 AM
at the moment you need another cgminer instance. currently you can't reach your goal...

That IS what i'm doing. I've compiled a NEW version of cgminer for the 703n. And I'm trying to run a separate instance of cgminer. The avalon is still using the original version of cgminer.

Just buy one Wr-842ND and do whatever you want. In current situation every minute downtime counts.

Generally, I'm not shutting down my avalon. I compile cgminer on a separate linux machine, upload the binary and test. If the avalon cgminer hangs, it's a matter of seconds to restart the original cgminer process.

ttyUSb is different from Avalon one right?
and binary name is different?
Maybe BFL cgminer is probing somehow USb com ports and fucks avalon sending it crap to see if this is BFL?

1. Disable hotplug in your cgminer BFL config
2. Kill avalon cgminer
3. Run BFL miner
4. Run Avalon Miner
But all that is damn stupid just buy another router
PS: You need just to ask Kano or someone which knows cgminer better and be 100% that when you run your BFL instance it is not sending crap to avalon to probe if it is BFL that is the problem as you are describing it
2153  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Announcement] Avalon ASIC Batch #1 Ships on: March 10, 2013, 06:47:10 AM
I called DHL, and they found mine and gave me the tracking number.

I specified that it shipped from Hong Kong, and that it was shipped within the last 3 days.

They told me that it's scheduled for Monday delivery, and that it will require a signature.

Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

BitSyncom,

Why is it so hard to send out the tracking numbers?

Do you notice all goods picked up in HongKong?

we use HK-DHL for delivery now, to avoid custom issues and lower the shipping cost. they (express agent) first send the packages to HK, and then picked up by HK-DHL.

we could get the tarcking numbers about 5days to 1 week after the shipment, and  manually input them into our system (that takes time).
but at that time, most of packages are already reached customers hands.  refer to our shortage on human resource, provide the tracking numbers is at our lowest priority now.

Ng,
can you just sent us mails informing that units are shipped even without tracking numbers?
Or just state all batch 1 units are shipped when you do that. It will be of help at least for me
2154  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Question: Where can I find Avalon ASIC Batch #1 install guide? on: March 10, 2013, 06:43:45 AM
@loshia

I'm working on the option1:
1. Remove jumper, use linux i386 pc compile https://github.com/BitSyncom/cgminer avalon branch and go

Thanks!

Super!
Let us know how is going on. Have you tried to change usb hub as ng suggested?
2155  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon ASIC users thread on: March 10, 2013, 06:41:58 AM
kaerf, what on earth are you trying to do? Your stats look fine. They report 67 Ghash/s. 3439 getworks indicate cgminer works on shares of an average difficulty of 428. There is no need to recompile cgminer.

I'm trying to run a BFL single from the avalon. I'm not messing with the avalon miner itself.

Just buy one Wr-842ND and do whatever you want. In current situation every minute downtime counts.

I want a new toy!

2159  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon batch 1- Who got tracking? on: March 09, 2013, 07:50:49 PM
Hey guys, just got a batch of tracking numbers, going to send out emails through out the day today.

Did anyone receive tracking numbers via email?
I did not yet
2160  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: PrimeAsic - 80 Ghash/sec Asic Miner on: March 09, 2013, 07:36:34 PM

What's ironic is that a similar list--ten times longer--applied to Avalon, yet they delivered.
There were ZERO doubts that avalon will deliver. The question was about BFL and BASIC one is gone already second  question still remains Grin
There have never been any legitimate doubts that BFL will deliver.
A bunch of trolls shouting "scam" does not make it so.

Luke,

I respect you and your work. The only way to stop us trolling is to see a proof that something happaning in BFL camp and they to start to deliver. I will sent my apologies to BFL and who feels affected buy me. No irony here if that matters at all.  Until then we will troll. I do not mean to offend you not only because you helped me once but because of your work and skills
Please excuse me ...

Just face the facts - pictures with fans, chips heat sinks are just pictures and nothing more this is the way most of us see things. Kano went there and show us air plains and buildings. Probably the initial idea was to get a prototype in order to develop cgminer. Even though he stayed longer than expected nothing came out of it. What does it mean? Shit happen again 100%. How big it is - we will never know. Yeah BFL has air plain PCb machine probably and so? just a few pictures came out of it for now. It just not making sense for me. I have sated many times that BFL is not a scam it is just a proxy that is all. It might become a sacam eventually when upstream fails. Let us hope that this will never happen not because of BFL but because of the dudes here who put their money and hopes in the company
