2141  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Akaho - December 3 on: November 01, 2022, 01:20:10 PM

Ring rust, everyone has to go to this. It's just a matter on how boxers are going to shake it off. And most likely, when Casimero's experience, he might likely start slow in this fight but eventually find his rhythm and this could end up to be a very good fight to watch as this could be war in his first fight at 122 lbs.

Nah, Casimero understands that a win here is his ticket for the next big fight, he was off for a while but he is still hungry for a win since he did not actually lose in a fight, he just got stripped with his belt which I believe he regretted his mistake. His comeback fight is something we should not miss to see if that fire in him is still there as he needed that to have a chance to face Inoue in the future.

Yes, I think the motivation and the hungry is still in the belly of Casimero. You are right that he didn't lose any fight or his belt, it's just he can't make the desired weight at 118 lbs.

So he will have be extra motivated in this new weight class, he will for sure look for the likes of Inoue if he decided to jump on this division or the current champion. Although there could be argument that he might be too small at 122 lbs but we will see if his power will be enough in this new division.

After being stripped of his WBO belt, unable to fight because of his medical condition, being suspended on his defense fight, and having nothin else left, Casimero is really hungry and more motivated to get the job done right. This is his opportunity to somehow climb again at the ranks and compete for the championship title.

But unfortunately, lots of big monsters are now in the super bantamweight and if Inoue will moved up to, another big challenge for Casimero if ever he can now be considered to fight against those on the top of the rankings.

And all of that unfortunate situations of Casimero happened in I think in just a span of 5 months, just like you said, he was hospitalized and had to recover first before starting his rigorous training to make sure that he'll remove the excess weight he had as he already had the history of having issues with his fight. When everything feels right, he was stripped by his belt few days before the fight because a video of him have leaked.

Cannot imagine how did Casimero feel after those unprecedented situations, surely he took some of his time reflecting about those incidents before deciding to climb in this new division. Now that he's back and hungry, I'll expect a good match from him.
2142  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 01, 2022, 10:37:18 AM
Another game tomorrow for the Lakers, still against the Nuggets, so we can assume that it's another massacre? I'm guessing, their losing streak will continue after this game as they have no answer on this good team, I hope I'm wrong because I want to see their cold streak end.

Had expected the same situation because they've been defeated by the Nuggets already in their first encounter this season but this time was different, it's like they suddenly found their correct routine and synch. Westbrook bounced back too and almost got a triple double coming from the bench, surely that's shocking enough. Let's see if they can repeat their play in the next game against the Pelicans.

They need to bring that spirit and the teamwork for them to make another win. Today's game silent the critics, but for sure they are just
waiting for another loss from the Lakers and those hates will flow back.

Against the Pelicans where Zion is back, it's another challenge for the Lakers, though seeing the fun inside the locker room means a lot
for this team.

They are building good relationships and it can be converted to good chemistries inside the court, both offensive and defensive role
is very important in each game that they will play together.

After getting their 1st win of the season, they will be tested again because they are playing against a much heavier team this time and it's the Pelicans next where Zion will play. Ingram is out but the team can still handle the Lakers power especially now that the Lakers just got their form and morale back. This will be an interesting game, for sure.
2143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul VS Anderson Silva October 29th on: November 01, 2022, 10:04:56 AM
No surprise here, Jake Paul won like I said he will, but I expected fight won't go to distance with decision win.
I think he is going to call out some new MMA fighter for his next fight, maybe Nate Diaz or someone else.
Jake called out Dana White again and said he can suck his d*ck  Grin but it's best to listen his full post fight interview:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CEJU7E8rJsk

He called out Nate Diaz (calling him a bitch and plenty more) right after his fight.  He also said Canelo could get it too...  I think either would be good opponents, or Andrew Tate, but it seems like Logan Paul is the one going after Andrew Tate after his appearance on the Suga Show podcast.  If you don't know what I'm talking about, look up Logan Paul's appearance on Sean O'Malley's podcast that was posted yesterday.  Logan goes after Andrew Tate hard.  If Tate doesn't step up and accept a fight with Logan after this, similarly to if Nate Diaz doesn't accept a fight with Jake, their reputations are definitely going to take a hit.  Although I understand they're all different types of fighters, except for Canelo and Jake...

canelo or nate diaz, whoever is the next. definitely, jake paul is now banking on the next payout from his win over silva. wonder what dana white have to say about this, because jake paul and white have beef with each other. seems that paul is getting the interest of retired professional boxers or MMA fighters. can he really challenge canelo?  Tongue

I don't know who's next but one thing is for sure for me, that won't be Canelo Alvarez and it will be much better for Jake if he will fight a bonafide boxer next and not some washed out fighters again because that will help his career more as he already got some skills and he is a kind of heavy hitter too. Better stop dreaming for a Canelo Alvarez fight because the current p4p king is not interested in fights that doesn't have any titles on the line.

Yes, Canelo will just laugh it out and I don't think that he is willing to lay everything on on the line to fight Jake Paul. And Canelo has some unfinished business with Bivol (assuming Bivol will win against Ramirez).

Maybe Jake Paul blurted out the name of Canelo, for hype's sake because Alvarez is the cash cow of cash cow right now.

Of course, seriously, why would Canelo risk everything on the line against the likes of Jake Paul doesn't have anything to offer. If it's money, Canelo won't still bother to answer it because he can make those money fights against a much proficient boxer. For now, there's no boxer who will get Canelo's attention except Bivol.
2144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: October 31, 2022, 04:22:37 PM
Two losses now for the Warriors team. This is not normal and they were up against a Detroit Pistons team.
They will surely be more intense in their next game against the Miami Heat. I will be expecting them to win this one and avoid a 3rd losing streak.

Yeah, but still early to push the panic button for the Warriors, they just needed to win, one game at a time, it was just their loses were not blow up games, it's very close and it was just the breaks of the game.

76ers vs Wizards - I might go with the Sixers at -4.5 @1.90. Although Joel could be questionable, they have found or at least they have a new player to rely, in Maxey.

There's no need for us to worry about the Warriors because they still know what they are doing, they've been like this too last season but still they became the champion. They are still in control, it's still to early to say that the Warriors have lost their strengths.

Anyway, I'll tail you on that one and I'll add Hornets -1 @ 1.91. Lots of games tomorrow but only few got me interested. The bucks though is on a winning streak since the season started and there's a high chance that it will be their sixth win tomorrow versus the Pistons but the spread is too ridiculously high, it's -13 Grin
No way I'd risk for that.
2145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to Generate Profit in this bear time? on: October 31, 2022, 03:46:13 PM
In many days i see in my port filo 5$ up and 5$ down , what is the best strategy to increase profit?
There is no best strategy in increasing your portfolio as an investor than to trade your coin. The market is not moving well like it used to be so if we keep holding our coins in the wallet, it will take longer time for all these to have good profits because the market is not moving well. Staking is also good but it will take longer for you to make resealable profits.

That's one way for sure to make some profits in this bear season but we know that trading is not for everyone as it needed some knowledge and pouring huge time to make some studies on how to trade effectively, and it needs some decent capital too. Still, one of the best and easiest way that even a newbie can do is to buy and hodl especially in this situation that we can buy coins/projects at a much cheaper price but before that, he or she must have some first hand knowledge first before selecting a couple of coins/projects in the market to somehow minimize the risks.
2146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk is one of the keys to be 100k$ per Bitcoin? on: October 31, 2022, 03:24:01 PM
Do you think Elon Musk is one of those who will push the price of bitcoin up to reach 100k$ each when the bull run comes?

I know Elon Musk has becoming more and more famous because of his antics and motives, we know he's ultra rich or whatever we call his status now. One thing is for sure, with or without Elon Musk, bitcoin will reach $100,000 on its own time and phase, that is inevitable. Even if he holds lots of bitcoins, I doubt he do have the power to control the market. Bitcoin ain't Doge.

And one thing more is you can't even know maybe this president is one of bitcointalk members Xd
Lol.. That's funny, but you never can tell..
However, having a crypto-friendly Prime Minister of the United Kingdom was a great move and welcome development to the growth and adoption of Bitcoin, because to me there is nobody who coyld speak on behalf of Bitcoin or implement a policy favourable to Bitcoin users than a true believer, of which i'm happy the new young vibrant P.M @ Rishi Sunak is one of them. So let's just watch and see how his administration will be as it's still too early to judge a book by its cover

Yes, we cannot really know about that for sure, there's a possible for sure and it will be much better if he's an old user in this forum. But anyway, having a Prime Minister who is a firm believer of cryptocurrency is truly a plus and he might really change some things in the UK that will expose crypto more than what they have now, it might not be accepted widely as fast as possible like how it is speculated but I know there will be some good changes soon. Citizens who are inclined for this are thrilled for sure.

2150  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anderson Silva vs Jake paul who you bet on? on: October 30, 2022, 05:29:02 PM
About what I expected. Jake Paul looked good and so did Silva. I’m the end though it was the 8th round knockdown that won the fight for him. If it wasn’t for that momentary lapse then I think people would be debating who won the fight. I don’t think Silva was hurt at all, which is great, but he did take a good shot and lost his balance tumbling backwards. Everyone with money on Paul is happy. He said he wanted Nate Diaz or Canelo next.

Did he now? Wow, such a big words for a man who hasn't beat any real boxer up until now. The odds and advantage are almost siding with him though because he has the youth, speed and more boxing bouts in his career, Anderson Silva is good but it was evident that he isn't good enough with against young heavy hitter like Paul. The fight is so close and I was expecting a draw already but that 8th round knockdown changed it.
2151  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Akaho - December 3 on: October 30, 2022, 04:55:41 PM

I guess Casimero is looking forward to achieve two goals in front of this Ryo Akaho, first is to have his name back in the industry and the second goal is to avenge all the Filipino boxers that Akaho defeated in the process. This is a good fight and it's not that too cherry-picked fight in my perspective because Akaho is also a decent boxer and a good test for Casimero.

I don't know that Ryo Akaho has defeated many Filipino boxers, I thought he is not a good boxer. Well, now that I know about that, I hope Casimero will knock him down so he will get an impressive win. I have not seen Casimero have a close fight anymore as his last fight was boring which was against Guillermo Rigondeaux.

There are a lot of Filipino boxers hoping to get a chance to break into the world scene. So maybe what Akaho beat is not the top tier of PH boxers? Casimero is known to go and look for either KO/TKO so for sure in this new weight category, he wants to get a impressive win.

Hopefully this one is going to be exciting, a toe to toe fight is worth watching as always.

If Akaho is willing to go toe to toe against a hard punching like Casimero then it will be a war. But if he taste that power and he doesn't like it, then maybe he will curl up and Casimero will do the chasing all throughout the fight.

That is probably the case because if those said Filipinos were strong enough when they faced Akaho then they won't be defeated and it is really true that there's a lot of Filipino boxers who are hoping to get their most awaited break but only few got the right skills to be known. In short, not everyone was born to be a boxer.
2152  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Manny Pacquiao vs. DK Yoo on: October 30, 2022, 04:36:48 PM
I dug a little bit more on his background and an article have just made regarding his background because I bet there's a lot of people that are curious about him and his name keeps on popping on the search engines just to know his record because why would the legendary Manny Pacquiao will choose him if he's not that skillful to fight on. I found out that DK YOO is famous in South Korea as he used to do a lot of exhibition fights against known fighters in their country and surely this will be streamed by PPV, no doubt.

And this is DK Yoo's words against the Filipino champ as way to sell the fight more, usual words to market the fight but I do hope he can back his words Grin
Quote
DK Yoo has a bold prediction ahead of his exhibition fight with Manny Pacquiao in December. The Korean believes that he will ‘win with the jab’ against the experienced Filipino southpaw.
The Korean has been working on his jab in the Los Angeles gym and thinks Pacquiao will have no answer for this weapon.
https://asianmma.com/dk-yoo-ill-win-with-the-jab-against-manny-pacquiao/
Pacquiao will give a good lesson for DK Yoo that would make DK Yoo cry and regret what he done before, we're don't see any boxing skill from DK Yoo, IMO he's an amateur even though he's an martial art coach. Not all coach are have a good skills when he jump into a real fight, some people only can teach and share their knowledge.

Expect that because Manny Pacquiao will likely show no mercy against DK Yoo as he also wanted to have an explosive fight in his return in the ring. I reckon that the latter will not last long if Pacquiao will let him taste the true punch of a legendary boxer and to be honest, I think we will see a stoppage on this one because I really don't think that DK Yoo have some talent that can keep up with Manny Pacquiao's skills.

Manny though is known to hold up his power even during his latter part of his boxing days specially after he became a Christian. So most likely, I'm not seeing him giving DK his full power. Maybe few touch up here and there and show his speed with the fans and that's it. Maybe Manny will win by decision in this fight I reckon. Most important thing is that everyone will enjoy this fight, seeing the legendary boxer again.

Yes, you certainly got a point. Manny Pacquiao changed ever since he became a Christian, he is not that type of boxer anymore who do not show any mercy but aside from that, he is also known to up-hold his words. He himself said that their fight won't look like an exhibition fight, let's just trust him for that because this is his return, maybe he got some few surprise to us.

Representatives for Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia are inching toward a deal for the undefeated rivals to square off in a 136-pound fight at some point in January.

According to a report Monday night from Sports Illustrated’s Chris Mannix, pay-per-view distribution is the significant obstacle that has prevented Davis and Garcia from finalizing their agreement.

https://www.boxingscene.com/report-davis-garcia-agree-framework-january-fight-ppv-distributor-sticking-point--169959

Again just like the other fight, the sticking point is the network that is going to air this fight. Davis in on Showtime, while Garcia is on ESPN.

I do hope that they can meet halfway so that this fight is going to be made and for sure this will be another blockbuster fight for early next year.

It's all about money and if they can meet halfway, then the fight may proceed, we don't know yet if there's already a negotiation behind but for sure it will be announce or be leak around the web, let's wait for any update and see how things will be finalize.

The said fight has been in limbo for months but the fighters is keeping them alive through this social media accounts and if I'm not mistaken, there was a confrontation in a club wherein this two has some sort altercation. And then they go back to their twitter and fire back at each other.

I don't want to preempt everything, because this is a big fight even though they don't have any belts in the line. I said I don't want to preempt it's because of the Crawford vs Spence fight wherein as a fan we thought that it's already lock in until we find out that Crawford will have a fight this fight not name Crawford.

So let's see and wait till they settle down the sticking point on which network are going to televised this fight.

Yeah right, it's better to wait for the final announcement to make sure that both camps already sign the deal and they already finalize which network will cover the fight, until we don't see any updates everything here will continue as rumors and for that we already learn from those fights that fans anticipated but ended up not to push in this year.

Though we never know if they will negotiate again and maybe they will end up signing the contract, I'm referring to Crawford and Spence just to make it sure that I won't quote here.

People are already fed up with rumors and already learned some lessons from waiting the unification fight between Crawford and Spence, it has been said that their deal is nearing to an end but the opposite has happened. And then we have this Garia-Gervonta fight, for all we know, it's still a rumored. We know that both camps are already interested but a lot can happen once discussion commences. That said, might be better if we'll just wait for the official announcement.
2154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 30, 2022, 06:35:48 AM
I think there would be no team in the league right now who will accept Westbrook if in case the Lakers will choose to trade him. I guess it's just too late.

There will always be a team that will sign Russell Westbrook but not the same as what the Lakers offered him.

It's a good catch if teams can get him at a fair price.

During the off-season, there are lots of trade packages offered from other teams that the Lakers received for Westbrook but none of those satisfy them because as reported, part of the Westbrook deal should also include some of the future first-round picks of the Lakers which seems a bad idea to risks with.

Therefore, instead of pushing trading Westbrook, they keep the current roster intact for this season and that's what we are seeing right now. As I said before, trading Westbrook depends on how the team will behave this season. I'm thinking that the decision of trading Westbrook will be finalized after seeing their progress in the mid-half of the season.

He will be traded if there's a good package from other teams who are also interested to get him to without risking the Lakers future draft picks, currently, Westbrook's salary is too high for other teams especially when his performance doesn't synch well with the price of his contract. It might happen this season but the chance is slim and other teams might wait Westbrook until he lands in the free agency.

I also think that it will be the nearest possible scenario for the Lakers here and for Westbrook as well, I don't really think there would be a team in the league now who will get Westbrook in that state. Teams will wait for his contract to finish first and then offer him a much lower contract. Anyway, I guess it's still too soon to conclude that Westbrook will be shooting bricks until the end of this season, there's still a chance.
2155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Vasiliy Lomachenko vs Jamaine Ortiz - October 29 on: October 29, 2022, 05:20:48 PM
Been in this discussion for quite some time and I haven't read that someone here is Jamaine Ortiz's fans, some are just saying that Ortiz is just too underrated compared for Loma which is true but some also have said that Loma should still take some extra precaution because Ortiz might be the 2nd Teo Lopez that will give him an upset. Well, about that, they truly have a point because Ortiz here is also an undefeated boxer who wanted to be a star someday, so a defeat here is the least he wanted.

Losing to Ortiz in this fight is a very slim possibility because for me Loma is on a mission of reclaiming the belts he once have and i also think that he will never be overconfident on this one and make sure that he will do the job with convincingly as this win will make him the frontrunner to fight Haney for the unified belts.

Though Ortiz is undefeated but his opponent were nobody so and talent-wise, he is not on the same level with Loma and with that being said, i'm betting for Loma to KO Ortiz, just hope that he will not show mercy on his opponent like he did with Richard Commey.

I'm riding this pick, I like to see Loma getting a very impressive win and there's no other way but to dominate  Jamaine Ortiz and best if he could KO him. Good thing I was able to see this thread, I almost forgot that this fight will be tomorrow, I should get ready the PPV channel ready then.

Same here then, I'm tailing you guys. Good luck to all the users here who bet in favor of Loma by a KO. There is no better way to end this fight, only a by way of knockout because that will be a sign that he is indeed ready to face the undisputed champion, Devin Haney, next and it will be a good message to Haney that he is indeed back in the industry and will be facing him next.

2157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Casinos vs money laundering. on: October 29, 2022, 04:21:32 PM
Let's be honest, money laundering is the best thing that can happen to a casino and there is where most of high rollers comes from. I have seen some rollers in the past that runs some huge scams and then go to the casinos to play with the scammed money and with that justify where they get the money from after hitting some huge wins.

Nowadays most casinos has KYC, but i don't think that is enough to stop the money laundering, what casinos should do is to investigate the source of the deposits to fight against this illegal activity, but that will not happen because is a win-win game from them.

So, what do you say, does crypto casinos really care about money laundering?

Crypto casinos don't care, of course, they are in this business to make money not to concern anyone.

And not everyone who applies KYC to their crypto gambling platform can say that it is safe, other gambling platforms just use it as a tool to make other gamblers or players think that their site of gambling is safe. But I don't blame everyone, others can still be taken advantage of. That's why you still need to do your research to find out if a casino is legitimate.

Yes, that is right! Online crypto casino's doesn't really care if some of their users are just looking a way to launder their money, that is not their concern anymore because they are just focused on their losses and profits. They are just requiring KYC because that is a direct order from the authorities as that is one of their requirements to have a license. But not all licensed and are asking KYC are safe, we shouldn't forget that because if there's an unfortunate situation where the casino is hacked then our identities are in a dangerous spot. Much better to find some reputable casinos because that is more worth the risk.
2158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bear Market Can Be A Waste Of Time or Useful Depending on How We Approach It on: October 29, 2022, 03:35:47 PM
All is about our perspective and point of view. Pessimistic people will think this is the end of crypto, we should sell and leave crypto.
But the Opportunistic people will always take any opportunity even in this bear market. They buy and accumulates during this phase, and patiently wait for crypto hype again in few years later.

In this case, there are 3 options for behavior in a bear market:
you buy coins at a reduced price;
you are fixing a loss;
you continue to hold coins, waiting for the price to recover.
And only the first option is preferable in a bear market, but it is only for those who have sold their coins at a high price in a timely manner.

The 1st and 3rd option suits better, buy and hodl while the market is red. Buy coins while we can still buy them at a discounted price but the challenge is to to find and invest in the right coins because not all coins or projects especially the newer ones will survive throughout the bear period. And then hold while the storm is still going on, project and set-up some timetable to be your guide in the future.

I'm not sure I feel that bitcoin hitting the 20k range is really a "bounce-back" nor do I have any level of certainty that we are out of the weeds at this point. I think a lot of it will continue to depend on global politics and global markets, as long as both of these aren't doing so well, I think we will continue to see the price of bitcoin lower or remain most stagnant.

I do have to say however, it's impressive as hell that bitcoin has hovered around 19/20k for as long as it has, shows maturity!

The OP might have read somewhere about these so-called "crypto experts" and saying about some forecast that the bear season will end sooner than expected. We literally don't know about that yet, not even the creator SN can predict the market's situation. We might have some good signs in the market but just like you mate, I don't think it's a sign that bitcoin will have its much awaited bounce back.

Honestly did not expected Lakers to start this bad. I get the warriors loss, but this latest Portland loss is a big bells are ringing type of deal. They were not ready for the season? Did they not really worked hard on figuring out how they could get better?

It's obvious that they were bad last year, you can't just roll the dice again and hope for a better result, they needed to change some things, even if not in the roster (which they have a bit) but also with the plays. Look at Spurs, they have one of the worst teams in the league and yet they started 2-1, one of the wins coming from Sixers. That's the difference between a good coach and a bad coach.

I mean what was really expected.  They haven't changed from last year.  They lack a true point guard.  I know you have lebron but you need someone that can set the table for everyone including Bron.  And their bench depth is terrible.  I expect vet injuries which will only deepen the losses.  This team is looking at easily under .500 and missing the playoffs again.  It will be the lebron scoring title and passing Kareem this year and that's about it.

I would agree though, I mean the Westbrook is still with the Lakers and so the problem is still there. They got some players, but it is just some average point guard like Pat. Lebron is on the way to past Kareem all time high scoring and maybe some records as well.

The whole management of the Lakers from the front office to the players should took the blame here. It's just bad chemistry and even if they have Lebron and AD, they can't find the success they have since the bubble.

They even form good relationship to each other and maybe their locker room is so toxic that's why they cannot blend well together. Maybe they need to trade their guys while they still can because if they perform so bad the rest of the series then provably no team will agree on their trade offers because they think this roosters sucks and they will just get a problem if they decide to trade with them.

I guess it is time for the Lakers to rebuild the whole team because LeBron James won't be around soon and he himself said that he's going to go that team where his son, Brony, will be drafted. It's been a while too since they had a risky step because in the past few years, they are too busy building a superteam and following around LeBron, it's time to stop that and focus to the new generation that will carry the name of the franchise.

They didn't bite when teams are asking for 2 of their future drafts in exchange of Russell Westbrook. So that alone will tell us that in the next couple of years they will be in a rebuild phase when contracts of Westbrook and AD will be up. Other teams build around their superstar and I think the Lakers really got the secret formula when they won a ring with Lebron and AD and surrounded themselves with good supporting cast. However, they can't follow it up because they got wash up players last season and then Westbrook was not a perfect fit for the Lakers regardless which coach they have. So yes, rebuilding will happen.

Yes, I almost forgot about that one. Having Westbrook is a sacrifice for sure but also mean that they had successfully saved some future draft picks, it's just that they didn't expected that Westbrook's performance will go down hill right after they acquired him while carrying a heavy salary from the Houston Rockets. It seems that the Wizards had that feeling that is why they agreed to trade Westbrook. Rebuilding will take time and I think they will slowly commence that process in 2025 where AD's contract will end.
