Here is the long-awaited update to DigiCube, which I am still labeling as a development release. This wallet is not yet perfect, but is a work in progress that I am only posting prematurely to get the chain moving again. I do not normally post something in this iteration before a final build, but it's been long enough and we need to get the blockchain moving again

Upgrade Process
This is only a little more detailed than a standard fork. To update to DigiCube v1.6, please follow these instructions:

1) Close all DigiCube wallets that are running
2) Backup wallet.dat in as many places as you feel comfortable with
3) Delete all files in this data directory, but leave wallet.dat and DigiCube.conf here
4) Download the Bootstrap for block 500k here: http://freestaking.com/downloads/wallet/DigiCube16-Bootstrap.zip
5) Extract these two files to the same folder as in Step 3
6) REMOVE ALL NODES. Use these two, and only these two, nodes in DigiCube.conf, until more people have had time to update:

7) Ensure the only files in this folder are the two blk files from the bootstrap, DigiCube.conf, and wallet.dat
8) Open DigiCube v1.6 and enjoy the new experience

- Not following these instructions will result in an error when loading the wallet

Known Issues
Periodic wallet crashes from the debug console window
  - Will fix later; priority is to get chain moving again ASAP
Invalid Checkpoint Alert
  - This is expected and actually a good sign. It's showing the bad blocks are being invalidated properly
Please report how the wallet performs. Yes, the landing page for web is loaded like crazy right now
  - This is to stress test wallets and see how much information they are able to process in that tab, they are not permanent

If you're still using 1.0 then you are on your own fork completely, but lucky for you it also forked at block 500k so you will be out nothing

I estimated the new wallet would be ready early next week. I'm hoping to get the first binaries for Windows and Mac rolled out tomorrow, followed by Android shortly after, and finally the ARM wallet for Raspberry Pi within the next few days

Thanks for sticking with us.. not that you had a choice while the wallets are closed    When the new wallet is posted, there will be more information on the entire situation waiting for in the Qt itself

I am working on the fix for the blockchain as well as the web UI, but I have someone else, whom I have come to fully trust, helping me add some of the new stuff to the wallet as I am not too great with Qt design

Basically, I'm doing the blockchain/web stuff while the other guy is helping with wallet cosmetics by adding the new tab that will talk to the web stuff I'm designing right now. If he wants to say who he is, that's up to him, but I value people's privacy and it's not my place to break discretion

We already have most of it done, I'm just doing some finishing touches to polish it all up before we do the final build with the fix in place (which I have already come up with, and written, so that is all set to go)

I was going to post some screenshots, but I decided against it.. I'm finishing up the landing page today for more clarity and compatibility, so you guys will just have to wait  ;p

C-CEX is pretty much the only exchange I use these days. Bittrex comes in second for me, but c-cex just responds so fast, both with support and UI, that it's hard to go anywhere else and feel like you're being proficient

Yes, my errors are extremely rare. GorillaBucks, for example, was not an error in my code, but that of CRAVE and DASH. My pnly mistake there was believing those codebases could maintain a secure blockchain; I was wrong, but I'm not going to continue beating that dead horse

One big fuckup and one small hiccup in nearly 4 years of working in this industry. I'll take that track record against any else's, considering the sheer volume of code I have written for people. Being one of the most active developers for nearly half a decade and making two errors in that time is something I am actually quite proud of

The fix is already complete, just trying to test some more so no issues again later. Since the markets are closed and everyone understands I made a mistake and panic is at a minimum, we are going to work on adding a bunch of extra stuff to the wallet. I would expect it this weekend or early next week. I am actually not the only person working on these updates, I'm very excited to be working with these new, very talented, unofficial (unless they decide to join up officially, which works for me) members of the CUBE community. Because discretion is of the utmost importance to some people, it's up to them if they wanna say who they are

Consider this new tab my apology for the amateur oversight I made that resulted in the rollback. This is not anyone's fault but mine and I will correct it shortly and hopefully it will help a little bit with damage control

I will also be reimbursing the exchanges for those greedy assholes that dumped their high stakes. Thanks for bot being shitty people and kicking me whIle I'm down, I really appreciate having to cover both the BTC you got and the CUBE that will reappear for you to dump again. You truly are four very greedy human beings. I know who you are (for a fact) and I will not forget the way the four of you took advantage of a rare Spots error

You can trade on both Bittrex and C-CEX right now, but wallets are offline, meaning you cannot deposit more CUBE nor withdraw those you bought until I post the new wallet
