... Irrelevant. The point still stands: Bitcoin could help a lot of people out there that happen to have access to the internet, but have a really hard time dealing with remittances. Look up a bit the amount of random islands out there with populations ranging from 1000 to 10000 people. All of those will be on Bitcoin in 10 years.
Bitcoin could do many things for many people. As could Dogecoin, as could any shitcoin. As could learning to be nice to each other and sharing. All this is irrelevant to the topic at hand, which is: So...bitcoin is now a national currencyWhat is relevant is it's a rock, not a country. Regardless of the guy living on it claiming it is. How is Bitcoin being 'adopted as a national currency' by some guy who lives, basically, under a highway overpass, further this? Is the fact that the rock next to the highway is not a nation irrelevant also? @l8nit3 It's not a nation, just some attention-hungry bro exploiting the oh-so-exploitable bitcoiners, who never fact check shit. Not as long as 'it's good fr bitcoin!!1!' Also no one actually lives there. Here's a small video showing the "nation" insides: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2cChgVc4FRAAnd here's the king or prince:

Good title, but seriously this bit of land is 178m,sq . Hardly a world leader in global finance. We use Bitcoin in my house also, and you know what they say, "every English mans home is his castle" so on my lands i decree that Bitcoin is the national currency also.
My info differ from yours.... The wiki says it has a area of 4.64 km2 ---> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pontinha_%28Odivelas%29 .... It's a start... let's not underestimate the significance of this.... It's a sovereign nation and they using Bitcoin as a national currency... They are setting a example for other bigger nations to follow. It's one small step, but one giant leap for Bitcoin. That is not the same Pontinha, check my previous post.

check the pruning mode, -prune, it allows you to download only X amount of GBs of the blockchain, by enabling this mode you lose wallet support.

In linux, just paste the new bin over the old one and it's done, I assume it's similar with other systems.
All these years you've been deleting everything every time you upgrade to a new version?

If I understand correctly, the next federal election in Germany isn't until 2017. That means Merkel will have plenty of time to finish destroying Germany and Europe. Unless German citizens act now, go to the streets and demand her resignation and new elections it will be too late. Merkel and those that support the invasion of Europe need to be removed from power. Just look what happened in Paris last night. That is just the tip of the iceberg. Europe will be devistated by these people and Europeans must act to save themselves and thier nations. The Germans will never take out anti-immigration rallies, at least not in any significant numbers. They are all brainwashed, and made to believe that multiculturalism will do wonders for them. The combined support for the two anti-immigration parties (AfD and NPD) remains less than 10%, and their sphere of influence is mostly limited to the former Eastern Germany (GDR). Spoken like true Nazis. There was a time in Germany's history where people listened to that kind of speech and it did destroy Germany and a lot of other countries.

Welcome! You don't have to pay anything to anyone! Don't go criminal. You can find a dice game at freebitco.in, that may be gambling... Bitcoin is real money at this point. Bitcoin is risky because its value fluctuates a lot, plus it's still an experiment. You can buy all the legal things with bitcoin.

LOL at "private IP address", whatever that is...
You mean you don't even know what it is? Here, this Wikipedia page will explain it. Until you have read and understood it, don't laugh at your own ignorance. That's for other people to laugh at. Thank you sir, I stand corrected, we usually call it LAN addresses... calkob, if you didn't yet get your node to be accessible from the Internet check this website: http://portforward.com/Find your router and follow the instructions.

Ignore those who have paid signature ads, as they frequently post misleading nonsense on topics they know nothing about to get their post count up (but then, you probably already know all about that). This has nothing whatsoever to do with having a static or dynamic IP address, as the address you enter is the private IP address of the computer running the Bitcoin node. The method of finding this information varies depending on your OS, but the address should start with 192.168. Start and end ports are both 8333 unless you're doing something unusual, and the protocol is TCP only (not UDP).
LOL at " private IP address", whatever that is... Of course you need to set up static IP if you're port forwarding, otherwise if/when other IP is attributed to the device you'll need to reconfigure the rule.

Most credit and debit cards are not without built in fees. A 3 cent fee for Bitcoin does not seem like much.
It's not much at all if you compare it to the fees that debit card companies are charging. They often charge 2-5% of the total transaction amount. Topic's about costumers, and as my experience goes CC cards are free.
|
|
|
Can you post transaction id?
Probably still not confirmed, network continues congested...
|
|
|
What? Is this new to you?
You never heard of anti money laundering and know your costumers directives?

It's not much but you need to wait quite a few hours for transaction confirmation, while with credit/debit card it's instant and free...

You need to set up a static IP address in the computer running the node, that's the IP you enter in your router, do it for both tcp and udp.
