2161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the best way to get updated when a coin is listed/delisted ? on: December 28, 2017, 09:12:50 AM
If you are registered on the exchange, usually they will send out an email informing of any listings/delistings.  You can also follow their twitter account.
But looks the twitter account gives the actual update about it. Look at binance and how the twitter account was actively update the coin that will be listed on the exchange site. And i remember about polo and bittrex was doing the same too. and then the exchange will try to send the notification through user's email
2162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Binance: $BNB The Future of Exchanges. on: December 28, 2017, 09:06:24 AM
Well BNB caught me by surprise... I thought this was something not worthy at all and got me some BNB during a coin worth... I think I will get me some more because this could be really big Smiley
If the binance will be more bigger than another exchange sites that alreayd applied strict rules to the users especially for the scam excahnge just like hitbtc which already frozen all of the user's fund.
it seems the binance will have a lot of the volume will be flying in there. But i'd expected the strict rules will come to the binance asap just like bittrex and polo.
2163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethlend the quickest 10x on: December 28, 2017, 09:00:45 AM
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/ethlend/#markets

About 40 mil mcap, 0.04 usd per token.

Ethereum lending service, NOW LIVE and going.

This will double tonight, and beyond.

Do your own research, start here: https://ethlend.io/

https://blog.ethlend.io/dev-update-ethlend-alpha-0-2-launched-today-welcome-to-the-beginning-of-crypto-finance-8aa6464139c7

Nah, you need to check how bad ended BTCJam before jumping in this lending site.

you can't try to make a comparison between the scam lending site just like btcjam with unknown people behind it. The lending project looks a shady business but if the team behind it is very trusted and that's not a big wrong at all. Salt has proven to be the first lending site that have been developing the product. The more competitors will make the developers become very active.
2164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto WINTER SALE TODAY! on: December 28, 2017, 08:53:16 AM
Here we go again , CRYPTO New Year Sale Today! After the last Christmas crash Alts Bullish , now pick your favorite coins guys!
Thanks for this opportunity to buy the more altcoin as much as we can before the sale will have ended. Look at the market and a lot of coin get plunged to the bottom. I believe in the next year we will see another bullish for all of the crypto. Seems the major coin still become the important point to be bought by us at this moement.
2165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What caused all the price drops? on: December 24, 2017, 03:39:41 PM
It is normal for the market to correct or dump after a good bull run, i think major factor is the holiday season where the crypto community cashed out from crypto, we will see big volume back in crypto markets in january and big bullish run.
Some experts said that about the next big bullrun for the bitcoin will be happening after the big drop for the bitcoin too. It almost touched 50% drop from the all time high price which means around 10k dollar. We may see it soon. but i'd expected that already happened.
2166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH, to hodl or to invest in something else? on: December 24, 2017, 03:35:30 PM
I know ETH is going to have a good 2018 but surely it is not going to be the best performer out there. It seems kind of a safe bet.

I am very new to crypto so my portfolio is mainly ETH that I gained with mining, airdrops and quick investments.

So I wonder...

Would you hodl ETH? Or would you invest it in other coin/s in the hope of bigger gains?

Would you go for Smart contracts (WAVES; EOS; NEO) or anonimity coins like monero and forks? Or any from the equihash family?

Hold your ethereum that will worth a lot soon. You must have seen the ethereum roadmap 2.0 which means that gives you ability to get the morecoin through your ethereum through the pos system.
I suggest you to not sell your ethereum just for another shitcoin with not purpose at all. Eos just a copycat and it seems worth.
2167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETHEREDELTA HACKEEDD??? on: December 24, 2017, 03:33:16 PM
I was read an article that EtherDelta made the announcement in a series of tweets, warning users that a hacker had temporarily hijacked its DNS server, enabling the attacker to send users to a fake, malicious version of the site.
EtherDelta was said that users who accessed the exchange using either MetaMask or a hardware wallet are “completely safe” from the phishing attack. The company added that deposits from users who never imported their key on the fake version of the website “should be safe,” but traders may want to consider moving their funds to a new wallet address as a security measure — and reevaluate their decision to import their private keys directly into a website.
The problem has been resolved by etherdelta and everyone can used the dns safely and that will be directed to the real site of etherdelta. This such a small problem in the crypto but for those are judging about the decentralized thing of etherdelta and remember the amount still safe. But they are not even realizing it.
2168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which altcoin will stop the bleeding/red Coimmarketcap??? on: December 23, 2017, 01:06:05 AM
Well, maybe the dust has settled.

Any bets as to which alt leads the charge back into the green besides Komodo?

Maybe they all come back up at the same time like has happened in the past?

Hopefully people held their positions and didn't get clobbered.
They will come back at the same time. because the reason was causing by the bitcoin itself. I still hold inmy position and just try to load the more coin as much as i can. but remember never try to short.
Komodo win on the bitcoin pair but lost in the dollar value.
2169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can I buy tether with usd wire? on: December 23, 2017, 01:03:23 AM
Is it possible to send a bank wire transfer to an exchange or tether to buy tether?  For example buy 1000 dollars of tether by sending a site/exchange that money and then i get around 1000 tether?  Of course i dont mind the fee but i like to know is it possible?  Such as could i do a bank wire transfer of 5k or 10k to buy tether?  That way i get tether on an exchange like bittrex or binance?  Or i get tether somewhere and then send it to bittrex etc?
The possible thing for you to buy tether through the bitfinex exchange site. The bitfinex has an ability to receive the wire transaction from the users and remember the bitfinex as the biggest market of tether.
Binance and bittrex doesn't supported the wire transaction. You may need to go to another option.
2170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt Coin Pairings - What's best USD, BTC or ETH? on: December 22, 2017, 02:06:24 AM
I need some help here. Is there a difference if I buy the coin with USD, BTC or ETH. If I own the coin does only the value of my coin matter? Or is it connected to the price of the underlying pairing?

For instance I buy ABC coin for $1, or the equivalent at that moment in BTC. And then BTC goes from $18,000 to $15,000, the value of my coin is then worth more BTC if I sell it correct?

I do understand there's some risk in BTC pairings if there's not sufficient volume, so they may be more susceptible to swings because of being thinly traded, but I own the coins right? Not the pairing USD, BTC or ETH?

Not sure about which is the best but just try to buy through the coin that gives you the more coin.
For the second question and not sure about that. if your coin still on the stable price and you might get the more amount in the bitcoin. but i think that will straight with bitcoin price. your coin will go down on its price. but it gets a lot of increase in the bitcoin pair.
2171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Basic help Wallet on: December 22, 2017, 02:03:22 AM
Hello,
I have doubts about wallets, I have never used it, I have always left it on Exchage, but I want to migrate now, but I still have some doubts, I would like some help.
I have wallet preference, but I'm afraid to leave in Exchange, and so far wallet insurance would only be for BTC, LTC and ETH (Coinbase, Blockchain Wallet, Myetherwallet)

My coins: Verge, Aeternity and Siacoin, all have their own wallet, but I have some doubts:
1) Every time I get the updates of these portfolios and I'm not aware of this, if I fail to update some version, or do some kind of error occur at the moment of the update, can I lose my coins?
2) If there is a problem on my SSD and lose all data, is there any way to recover the coins?
3) Can I install the wallet an External HD?

Portfolios Hardware:
As far as I found, a reliable wallet would be the Ledger Wallet (But it does not support my coins):
1) Is there another portfolio in Hardware?
2) Is it really reliable?
3) Need Updates?

Portfolios Online:
1) Any danger of leaving on Exchange (even with 2-step verification and authorization to withdraw via email)?

General:
What is the safest way to store the coins?

1 You will not lose anything if you fail to upgrade it to the latest version. As long as you are back up all of your data. I think some coin will have the more security measures.
2 For some coin just like ethereum and you will be able to recover your amount through the privatekey. but i don't know what already implemented in the verge, sia or aeternity.
3 I just use External HD to save all of my coins. It looks possible .

About your portfolio hardware
1 What do you mean about portfolio hardware? To manage your portfolio and you can try to use blockfolio. But that's just a simulation and not to keep your real amount.
2 If you meant about the hardware wallet and trezor could be another choice but it does not support all of your coins.

So many online wallets that have a lot of problems. you can try to search the more through your internet. Use online wallet just like use exchange site, but that will be different if you are keeping your private key.
2172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHO LOST COIN ON YOBiT on: December 22, 2017, 01:54:33 AM
WHO LOST COIN ON THE YOBiT hack and what coin did you lose...

Is yobit got hacked? Why is it possible to top exchanger like yobit can get hacked? Is this the security like DNS attacked?
Anyway, i just plan to put money in yobit but i think i have to cancel it since this problem.

There is always a possibility of an exchange getting hacked, we've seen it happen to many already. Sometimes insider jobs even.

Im sure insider wouldn't do that. their name will be negative forever in the trader POV.
If they want to steal some coin they should do it once and forever.

Haven't you seen about the mtgox case and there is a lot of similar case that was impossible to did from outside. I meant that caused by the internal of the exchange itself. Just like bitfinex case that makes a lot of people are loosing a lot of money. If you are still thinking if that was not possible and you may need to recorrect it again.
2173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: will the price of bch exceed the btc price? on: December 21, 2017, 11:19:45 PM
Grin yes as you know. the current bch price is rising very high, and will the bch price exceed the btc price? yes i am here asking for your opinion if bch deserves more than btc? give reasons why it should happen?
The situation for now is kind of irritating i think bitcoin users are changing into bitcoincash now and now the bitcoin is steadily increasing. It maybe poossible in some ways but only if bitcoin stop working for 1 year or more or bitcoin users change subject to bitcoin cash.
Majority of those are moving towards bitcoin cash are complaining about the ridiculous fees in the bitcoin itself. But i hope they will realize it and then move into ethereum. As there is a lot of people are talking about the recent news from the ceo of bitcoin cash that spreads FUD among the bitcoin holders to make them all feel scary.
2174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can US Citizens Participate in ICOs??? on: December 21, 2017, 11:18:56 PM
It looks like you have a lot of good answers already.

Basically, a lot of ICOs exclude Chinese, Singaporean, and US citizens due to regulations and laws.
There is the option of using an escrow service, but then you would have to factor in the price to use that service.
This will significantly alter the cost per coin/token that you invest in.

With that being said, let me give you some quick advice on icos:

Avoid them.

I know it is tempting to jump in on one in hopes that you can get astronomical returns later, but just peruse the forums and you will get a general idea that most people lose money through icos or the returns aren't nearly a good as just putting money into bitcoin.
There is a sort of ICO bubble now where there are just too many.
Too many projects with not enough investors along with many icos going into the same sector with way too much competition.

Nowadays, you can easily get an ico coin for the ico price or even lower a couple weeks after it hits exchanges, much safer and wiser.
But i just seen the icos that doesn't really care about the sec regulation about the ico definition. As you can see there are some project that based on US that still runs the ico to get a lot of fund and they are only try to preventing US investors to participate in there. But i just curious there are some that allowed US investors to participate too.
2175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DECENTRALIZED EXCHANGE A MUST NEED on: December 17, 2017, 09:56:35 AM
I fee secure puting my fund on Etherdelta than a centralize exchange where you would be delayed for verification purposes and other bureacratic processes.

Yes, the verification processes at many of the centralized exchanges keeps changing to conform to the newest AML/KYC interpretations. In fact, I have had some of my assets withheld until I provided documentation of my identity even though that verification wasn't required when I originally created my account. Bittrex has been doing that to its customers recently.
Bittrex is really strict to the users right now. But the decentralized exchanges don't gain a lot of interest. the fees is so high compared with the centralized excahnge site, and especially the decentralized exchange site still pegged with the blockchain of the platform itself. just like waves dex and another like etherdelta or even bitshares.
2176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: coinmarketcap december 2018? on: December 17, 2017, 09:42:51 AM
1 year ago exactly the total market cap on coinmarketcap was 14,59B. Today its 573,2B. Do you guys think the total market cap will exceed 1 trillion by december 2018? Lets discuss. Roll Eyes
My guess, the marketcap of cryptocurrency will over 1 trillion dollars at the end of next year. 600 millions would be possible in this month. how the altcoin gets huge increase time to the time.
How the more people try to get into the crypto as much as they can and how some countries tried to adopt it just like venezuela.
2177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Etherdelta Gone ?!?!?! on: December 17, 2017, 09:29:01 AM
Speaking of Etherdelta, I would like to check some tokens that I've owned lately. Like BOLD for example, I am confused how much it costs to buy and sell that token. Just like you guys, I'm having experience connection issues with Etherdelta due to high traffic and trading volume I think.

I'm getting curious and hyped with the Etherdelta token though. It's something that I want to check out for good.
You don't have enough fast internet for access etherdelta. Sometimes there is a bug that makes our browser can't sync with etherdelta itself. But the etherdelta will be different with centralized exchange or another decentralized exchange site. because that was using the peer to peer transaction and you must understand about that makes the direct payment to the owner's address.
2178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance... is this place a scam? on: December 16, 2017, 07:07:30 AM
Anyone tried to withdraw from Binance?

I heard so many withdraw problems from Poloenix
I've tried it yesterday and all went smoothly. the binance takes the decision to increase the fees to make the users feel convenience. Rather than polo and how a lot of the poloniex's volume goes to the binance exchange, because a lot of polo users having problems with polo team.
2179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin will kill alt coins on: December 15, 2017, 02:17:11 AM
Bitcoin does not seem to stop growing

2018 Altcoin is dead

Will hardly happen. Altcoin will continue to exist and grow despite Bitcoin's rising prices. I think it will affect significantly but it won't reach to a point when Bitcoin will eventually kill all altcoins. We have to consider that Bitcoin and Altcoins may have different uses. The majority of the altcoins are highly specialized in its uses, so I think they will still continue to exist independently of Bitcoin and its fate.
The point is altcoin still active on its development. But remember the bitcoin has a relatiuonship to the massive adoption of the crypto. When bitcoin grows more and more. The altcoin demand will be jumping to the bitcoin. Panic sell, flash crash and another bad thing will be happened in altcoin But the important thing about this will be temporary.
2180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Fog on: December 15, 2017, 02:14:35 AM
I saw on KuCoin that Ethereum Fog will be distributed sometime soon. It could be 4 hours or a day. But they took a snapshot of eth holders & will distribute 1:1... What do you think it'll be worth?
Does it another fork of ethereum? But it will not follow the bitcoin cash on it price. because that was just another erc20 asset. i don't say that was a bad coin but the fact this will not be different with the airdrop coin. Just like Xenon. It can be a good example for you.
