Is anybody selling these? I'm making my first bitcoin purchase tomorrow and I'd like to try these too. My address is 8JBZwiwPDpirAwCwjB15io8SnKYrJfz4th if there are any good Samaritans here. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Just sent you one BTE, have fun ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Thank you very much. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I received 2 BTE, if you want one back let me know. No, don't have to send back anything! You mean you received 2 BTE from this one transaction? Or did you get 2 BTE from 2 different transactions? I guess he did receive 2 Transactions. ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif)

The whole hype around this ridiculous Bitcoin2.0 was that it was 8x better, 8x more coins to be mined, 8x this 8x that. so why not 8x faster blocks?
No , there was no number 8 hype. It was advertised as exact Bitcoin clone and it is.

if Bytecoin is supposed to be 8x better than Bitcoin, shouldn't the blocks be timed 8x faster? so, every 75seconds approximately?
Only because it's faster , does not mean it's better. Source : Your wife. Sorry had to ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

Network seems slow today, no confirmations since 5 minutes.
Slow? Blocks are aimed to be 10 minutes. Compared to yesterday ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

I would say: yes reduce them. Prize has trippeled over the last month, on a similar level, Transaction fees should be lowered to 1/3 of the original value so the worth of the transaction fee stays the same.
+1 exactly it should be proportional. reg
Guys ? A transaction fee in the bitcoin case , means the minimal amount required to get included in the block. Additionally a Miner can reject to mine a block if he thinks there is not enough fees paid. So , and if you are not included in the block or your transaction is in a block with low fees your transaction may in the worst case never be validated. However at the moment there are no miners rejecting anything. But this will change in the near future. Miners will set a price. And that is how it always was intended. The values in the satoshi client are only a guidance ( and its quite small), so get over it and pay your miners for securing the network.

Maria (1.0,2.0,.. etc) , oldest of all Trolls and first of all Bitcointalk Trolls, makes herself often enough an easy target.
P.S.: I filled the faucet.
Oh, thanks a lot phantastisch! It really helps the community ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) By the way, do you have a suggested payout amount? The faucet seems to be working fine, so I might increase the amount given away I think you chose the amount well.

So last year a few companies came up with plans for ASIC miners, but didn't have the money to develope them, so they asked you guys to fund them in the form of pre orders. Some months later, right about the time they were supposed to deliver the ASIC hardware to you, 3 new miners coincidentally came out of nowhere and took over 60% of the market. Does that about sum it up?
Mind you, I'm taking the "3 new miners take 60% of the market" part off a news story that I saw, so correct me if I'm wrong.
Two new Miners and no not out of nowhere , but at least 4 Months later. Avalon Asic took pre-orders too, and Asicminer sold shares to reach a sum large enough to develop some chips.

I DO NOT UNDERSTAND HOW BITCOINS OR FREE MARKETS WORK AND WRITE IN BIG LETTERS
ftfy. I quote myself : Feel free to use a client where you can set your fee as low as you want.
And after you did that ... go outside and harass some bees.

What is it ? A mining pool ?
It's a faucet, you put in your Bytecoin address and it gives you free coins, at the moment I'm keeping the payout amount to a minimum until it's properly tested. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Nice job JucasLoans! Unfortunately, faucets do run dry ![Cry](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cry.gif) 8bQq1vmyrxSFjwZaVvi915PAPQ66ZUiDxR Show some love to an old-timer. FF PS. by the way the serious trolls and professionals have always targeted Maria, Cypherdoc, Molecular, D&T, etc. So don't be surprised by all the comments. PPS. Diversify! Maria (1.0,2.0,.. etc) , oldest of all Trolls and first of all Bitcointalk Trolls, makes herself often enough an easy target. P.S.: I filled the faucet.

Network seems slow today, no confirmations since 5 minutes.
Presumably people left after the difficulty went up, leaving a lower hash rate with a higher difficulty :/ There seems to be a lot of problems starting an almost exact clone of bitcoin with today's hardware Got 2 already ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FzzNuIwO.png&t=663&c=_-ekawP-uC1G0w) anything wrong? i get nothing... Try Diablominer. 4 Mhash ? That will net you 2 BTE per Day max, probably less if difficulty keeps rising that much.

Yes, the quick new blocks are normal for now due to low diffculty compared to hash. I would be more concerned about your GPU temps in combination with a low intensity of 1 (Using an intensity of 1 is most likely the reason for the low hash rates that are showing) I would look at your hardware configuration and figure out how to get those temps down and increase your intensity setting. Added: For example, one of my rigs show up like this: cgminer version 2.11.2 - Started: [2013-04-02 12:03:54] --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ST: 2 SS: 0 DW: 0 NB: 1 LW: 8 GF: 0 RF: 0 WU: 60.0 Connected to cryptocoinmine.com diff 64 with LP as user xxxx Block: 07a09bd37d6eb7f1... Diff:64 Started: [12:03:54] Best share: 9 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [P]ool management [G]PU management [S]ettings [D]isplay options [Q]uit GPU 0: 58.0C 3426RPM | 334.9M/1.468Gh/s | A:0 R:0 HW:0 U:0.00/m I: 5 GPU 1: 46.5C 3137RPM | 304.2M/1.228Gh/s | A:0 R:0 HW:0 U:0.00/m I: 5 GPU 2: 54.5C 65% | 304.1M/1.197Gh/s | A:0 R:0 HW:0 U:0.00/m I: 5 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And that is a fresh start, not completely up to speed. The numbers are closer to 400 m/H per card when start up is stabilized. Well, this is laptop with dual radeon 6470... I think this Mh/s is quite good :-P I wondered if this configuration is ok because it says "New block detected on network" but no coins in wallet... Then the network solves blocks faster than your gpu can solve a block. Either you get lucky once in a while or you need a pool.

But seriously now: This is just RUC with a new name and a whole fresh wave of sheeple working themselves into a mindless circlejerk over it. Once the hype dies, so will this "new" coin. Enjoy it while it lasts, I guess...
RUC was premined - 2 000 000 RUC. Point taken. However, my main criticism still stands: Bytecoin offers no improvements over Bitcoin, and I still think it will die in a very short amount of time. But , but ... its green !

So who has the most BTE right now?
I currently have 2410.75 BTE. I currently have 2595.9895 BTE

I'm buying 21,000 BTE for 0.1 BTC
That looks reasonable, me too. And we already have a market price! that's not a market price. thats BID. you need an ASK to even try to guess the market price , and market price is what last trade taken place at(pizza), that would be 0,0001111 BTC/BTE or 9000 BTE/BTC for easier calc. difficulty is 64 with 60% rejects, so mining now gives you 3.143 BTE a day per MH , comparing to LTC profitability thats a minting cost of 0,0107 usd which makes actual price of 0,01198 usd very reasonable. but you have to know, difficulty is 64 but blocks are found at high rate so this price is a steal!! difficulty will be 256 in no time. that is a mintage cost of 0,043USD. but i think there will be no more 60% rejects at diff256 so lets say it will be around .02 usd and 5400 BTE/BTC. thats of course if no one else starts mining. so i will make a 540 BTE per 0.1BTC ASK offer. now you can see your 21000 is just a BID , not a market price That's incredibly, incredibly funny. I never thought I would be a smart speculator you hit your pizza price on the spot perfectly. LOL Once this coin is worth something, I'm going to be filthy rich! I will sell an ounce of silver to someone for 3,000 BTE. Haha, we are lucky if this coin gets more than a weeks attention ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)
