2181  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Confident Are You In The Reliability of the KYC system on: June 10, 2023, 05:47:24 PM
I’m not confident on it at all. I just do it for the sake of not having troubles with my account, and I do not even plan on being a high roller, though if ever I win huge amounts of money in a casino, I’d submit my info and never look back again just to claim my prize. Casinos or third parties will always have that weak link in their KYC verification systems. It’s not impossible for them to leak people’s info in the open, even though they promise that they are storing these information in secure media/servers.
2182  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Gambling is different from trading on: June 10, 2023, 03:15:58 PM
You can also lower your risk in gambling, although the circumstances will be different but essentially, they are just one and the same. In trading, you are also relying on your luck accompanied with the knowledge that you have at a given period of time. It's also important that you act in a timely manner, else you will not make a profit, or if you do, it's not maximized and as huge as it should be.

If I have funds and time to spare, I'd go the route of trading, but if time is not something that I can really give, I'd just go gambling and let the RNGods decide my fate.
2183  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cold or Hot Slot? on: June 10, 2023, 03:04:20 PM
For hot slots, it pays frequently because a lot of people are constantly playing on it, thus the deposits keep on rolling and the winners keep on coming, whereas in cold slots, it takes some time for RTP  to build up because very few people are playing on it. That's just it, no more overcomplication of what's really happening in the sidelines, and since some casinos do post the live RTP, people will go where the wins keep on trickling albeit being very far in-between compared to something that requires an insane amount of lock.

It's obvious where people will come to. I'd queue in a line that constantly moves compared to a line that takes an hour or so for 1 person to win.
2184  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is There A Time That You Calculated All Your loses In One Year on: June 09, 2023, 11:00:20 PM
I spend $20 a week on dice for a year, and there are only 4 weeks that I haven't played at all due to personal reasons or due to a busy schedule. In total, that's $960 down the drain that I used for my entertainment, and I'd say that it's something that I'm okay spending compared to when I have a hobby that is quite expensive and needs regular maintenance just to ensure that everything is intact or that I am enjoying it constantly. Also, $960 is something that is quite easy for me to just let go for gambling considering that I don't spend much, and I am saving a lot from my salary anyways so there's that.
2185  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you guilty of promising not to gamble for specific days but back next day on: June 09, 2023, 09:28:47 PM
I stick to my schedule when it comes to gambling, and it's something that I built over the years so I kind of stuck to it and it has become a habit that I never try to break no matter how hard the urge can be. I also make sure to not leave anything on my online accounts that I use for funding my exchange accounts and buy some crypto for gambling. It's one way of ensuring that I don't have the money to spend if ever I thought of gambling and it's not yet my intended day of playing at all. Developing small habits like these can help you avoid the urges and just play whenever you are set to play.
2186  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how to get over it on: June 09, 2023, 08:25:56 AM
Well if you can turn a thousand into a hundred thousand, that means you only need self-control and patience. You are already capable of making 100z on your bankroll, and what's lacking right now is your ability to wait. Don't worry, patience and self-control is also lacking on a lot of gamblers and not just you, so you're obviously not alone in this dilemma. 10 instances of that $1000 to $100,000 and you're already a millionaire, and you did it a couple of times already.
2187  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bankroll management discussion on: June 08, 2023, 11:51:41 PM
When it comes to luck-based games, I don't really allot a certain percentage of my bankroll and just wing it. Besides, do I really need to be conservative with $20 if I'm just looking to have fun? Though when it comes to sports betting, if I have a $100, I'll make sure to make it last for 5 games and possibly win some games from those 5 games. That's as basic as it can get for me when it comes to bankroll management in gambling as a non-hardcore gambler who's just looking to have fun and some additional beer money.
2188  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: European Sex Championship , Will you Bet? on: June 08, 2023, 10:41:20 PM

Well, if anyone's in doubt, the word from the horse's mouth itself says it's not true ( Swedish Sports Fed as quoted by DW). Funny in a world of information, misinformation is still the winner in most cases, as many posters here prove.

Was just having some conversation recently about what qualifies as "sport" and while the physical exertion aspect appears to be lacking in many "sports" there is this criteria(on) that sex will have difficulty setting and that's rules.

Oh its fake. Someone part of me wishes this Sport to be true though.
Anything is possible these days just so people have something to do. One example of such crazy stuff that people are up to is the transgenders.

Why was this published in the first place or are they trying to check the crowd's opinion about sex as sport?

Maybe that is the reason why this was published in the first place: whoever made the application about registering sex as a sport in Sweden wants the public to know more about it, and maybe get a pulse on what the public opinion is about it. Idk why but it just feels wrong to see sex as a sport - at least for me. Idk what their metrics and guidelines in scoring would be, and even if they come up with one, how sure are we that it's something that can be standardized anyway? It's a futile effort to push sex as a sport, or even think about gambling with it.
2189  Economy / Gambling / Re: This guy gave a whole prototype of "how live roulette scam us" on: June 08, 2023, 05:29:11 PM
I watched a youtube video, a guy is showing how live roulette in online casinos scam us. after watching some part of video, i check the comment, and on 4th comment i found this guy telling how they scam us.

"The practice when the roulette balls are made of piezoeletric ceramiC.The material used is Barium Titanate BaTiO3 on the surface, and Barium sulfate BaSO4 on the inside insulation.
The ball caries polarized surface charges when hit by anultrasonic sound wave. This is sent from the inter- digital transducers placed in the pockets of each number.
They send a wave to the ball that polarizes the surface with a negative charge.
The spoon/ pocket  of the number olso negative; thereforethe ball jumps out trough electrostatic repulsion.
Each number pocket is controlled by a transistor called IGBT.
This transistor turn on the switch so that the pocket is negatively charged.
The control room computer leaves the pockets that it wants the ball to go in neutral or of.
This is akk maneged by the sophisticated software and computers.
So that why you can see situation when the ball geteither pushed out violentely od sucked into the exact to a number.
I am positive you know that the ball stick to a number like a dart and also ball being pushed out from the pocket after almost completestop.
So this would be yes this technique could be possibly used to manipulate the outcome.
This is happening on you live dealer wheels."

in comment of this video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f0rNhLySb0k

do you think, this is possible or they are already doing it? popular game providers like evolution, pragmatic, etc.

It seems a bit asinine to claim that online roulette is always a scam. It doesn't even need to be a scam - the odds are already stacked in the favor of the casino over the long term and it doesn't really matter if you hand all your money over this week or next month, they know eventually if you are a gambler you will leak it over to them. No doubt there is a rare occasion where a casino gets extra greedy and rigs the game, but any "love" game in a setting they completely control can also be rigged - it doesn't need grand explanations, there will be ways it could be rigged that he missed.

The way that the game can be rigged that he explained here is actually one of the easiest ones that can be done - or at least something that he already noticed and studied across a number of casinos. While true that casinos don't really need to do all of these things in order to profit and drain you off of your money, there are times that they need to make money to build their bankroll and pay up other gamblers that are playing on the site. This can usually be done if the casino is on a losing streak lately, and does not have any liquid funds at all.
2190  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should cryptocurrency be banned in a country with a population of 240 million? on: June 06, 2023, 11:58:07 PM
Even if the governments ban crypto, the citizens will always have the free will to use it or not. While it may be difficult to use crypto in a country where it is banned, it does not close the doors on other countries that are still open for business on the crypto side of things. Also, I’m pretty sure that the established ones in the crypto industry in Pakistan will still be happy to cater to traders that are looking to do business with them in crypto, albeit the bans and tight restrictions. It’s the classic doom and gloom tactic, but if the citizens are wise, they wouldn’t be scared about the possible bans at all.
2191  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: June 06, 2023, 11:48:53 PM
Just watched the series of Execration and Blacklist. They've just battled for the DPC points and placing but both of them are going to the Bali major. Blacklist ended as the 2nd place and Execration as the 3rd and there's the difference of the points they've won by 100.
While Bleed Esports as the 1st place for the DPC Sea. Right now, I'm watching the match of Boom Esports and Army Geniuses, one of them will remain on division 1 and that's whoever wins the series while the loser will be back to division 2. Boom won the 1st game.

Just as people thought that Talon emerged as the region's best team, they now failed to qualify for this season's last major. Talon only needs 40 points to qualify in the TI but now they need the luck to stay in the top 12 DPC ranking which is still very likely. But it signifies that the region remained hotly contested and it is a good sign because they need to up their games in order to compete with the best on the world stage. These 3 teams need to be competitive in Bali as they badly lack the points to qualify for TI.

Another team inside the top 12 that failed to qualify for Bali is TSM and it is almost certain that it will find itself outside the top 12 after the Bali major.
Things will change for those who are chasing to get qualified to TI because of the DPC points that will be distributed for this Bali major. Remember that this is going to be the last major for this year prior to TI, cmiiw. Too short for Talon as they only need a few points to qualify. While some teams might be up after gaining a lot of points after this Bali major. But I think that even after this Bali major, Talon will still be able to qualify and get a secured slot for TI. There are already 5 slots secured and Talon is on the 6th place because some teams who are gonna play in Bali are already qualified for the TI and that's not a competition anymore for Talon. But who knows, we'll just have to wait until it ends and see the calculations for the points.

Bali will be the last Major, and Talon is not in a rough spot but also not in a comfortable spot either. Whatever happens in Bali though, Talon will remain to be a strong contender in the SEA region. If ever they dropped to resort to the open qualifiers (which I know wouldn’t happen), they are one of the best teams with the highest chance to edge out other teams.

It’s less than a month before the quiet months start on the road to TI. I’m excited on the new teams that will be born to conquer the open qualifiers honestly more than those who will qualify the yearly tournament.
2192  Economy / Economics / Re: When will we stop living for the weekend? Escaping the 9-5 life. on: June 06, 2023, 11:27:57 PM
I tried taking an extended time off while not getting paid and tried doing some freelancing work for a few months. It was okay, but it certainly got boring pretty fast. Whereas in the lab, I may be spending 5-12 hours a day in the work space but I fee contented, fulfilled, and accomplishing something. Sure, there were times that I wish I can just quit my job and travel around the world while not worrying about the money, but for someone who is already accustomed to the worker life and still needs to save up for the rainy days, it will not be really easy.
2193  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: would you play more on casino when your country plans to ban BTC? on: June 06, 2023, 11:12:13 PM
I wouldn't dare risk it tbh. I'd rather play on a physical casino here in our country and spend some time commuting to and from the place rather than have my assets frozen or seized by the government just because I can't stop my gambling itch. Besides, there aren't much that I'll be missing if I don't gamble anyway, so it's not like I'm losing a lot just by following what's mandated by the government for the time being. There's a lot to lose if I didn't follow the rules rather than something to gain - in short, it's not worth it.
2194  Economy / Economics / Re: SEC is in Action After Suing Binance, Here Comes Coinbase Exchange on: June 06, 2023, 10:28:20 PM
How often do lawsuits like this materials into a full-blown closure of exchanges? Binance, out of all the existing exchanges today, seem to be the most experienced when it comes to legal pressure like this. It's like CZ has been brushing off all those lawsuits and all those pressures mounted onto him and his platform, and I'm sure he'll end up just paying some fines and fixing whatever there is to fix as mandated by the SEC.

As for the price experiencing a sudden turn for the worse, it's just a lot of shaky hands getting moved by the recent news. As always, there'd be nothing major that will come out of this for sure, as what had always happened before.
2195  Economy / Gambling / Re: Top 5 Advantages of Bitcoin Casinos vs. Traditional Casinos on: June 06, 2023, 09:22:06 PM
The main selling point of bitcoin casinos - or any online casino in general - is its ease of access and general comfortability. You don't have to travel in order to go to one, and you can literally play with any device that has a working browser that's updated and compatible with the games that they are providing. Another thing is that there aren't any time limitations on online casinos compared to traditional casinos. There are traditional casinos that only have certain operating hours, so if you're already in the middle of winning streak but the it's already their closing time, you have no choice but to leave your game and call it a day.
2196  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers understood the game on: June 06, 2023, 06:40:44 PM
That's right because we know the risks of gambling because we also feel the losses incurred will always be there in playing gambling. Emotions, obsession and also self-control are not spared by gambling players who always come to play even though they are experienced.
so I won't invite anyone to get involved even if the person is experienced, because I don't want to be blamed when the person feels uncomfortable or not used to using crypto. Unless they themselves come and want to know, and I can only explain as simply as possible according to existing knowledge, and that doesn't mean I recommend it.
Another question is whether the person or the gambler can accept all the risks? I do not think so.
people out there when they find out after we get a big win and ask to be given a way to gamble using crypto but they are only obsessed with your victory but when they get a loss they will get angry or worse chase the defeat and become an addict who ends up blaming you.
so that I myself also will not invite anyone to gamble in any type of crypto casino even though that person begs to tell me how to gamble using crypto.

I see no difference between crypto gambling and fiat gambling, looking at the OP's thought, the people to be introduced already gamble on different local sites. If such a person is introduced to crypto gambling they won't be a torn of disturbance when they lose out money. They're already used to the profit and loss associated with gambling. I won't hesitate to show a player the crypto casinos, it's just like a change of payment method. The problem makers are the newbies who are not experienced gamblers, I don't recommend teaching or introducing them into crypto gambling.

If people want to gamble that bad, it is also their own responsibility to look after themselves as they know what the repercussions are if they don't control themselves and do their research before getting the money out and stake it expecting for a better return. That's why I also don't want to introduce anyone to gambling, as it partly becomes my responsibility somewhat if something bad happens to their finances. I gamble discreetly due to a number of personal reasons, and one of them is that I don't want any other people who hasn't gambled before take interest in this money sink that I can afford.
2197  Economy / Gambling / Re: Top 50 gambling Instagram & TikTok accounts on: June 06, 2023, 05:45:56 PM
I rarely see any gambling content in TikTok. In Instagram, even though I don't particularly look for gambling content in my personal account, but there are some instances wherein I'm getting gambling content on my feed even though I don't really associate that account with anything related to gambling. Most of the gambling content I'm viewing on my personal account are sponsored ones, so I'm not sure what kind of tracking Instagram has for them to know that I gamble, even though that personal account hasn't liked, searched, nor watched any content related to gambling.

Of the top 5 accounts listed on that table, I think only Egor Kreed will be the only one who will be open for advertisements for starting casinos, platforms, or brands as most of them are probably already signed with other brand deals.
2198  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Self custody will always win on: June 05, 2023, 11:59:46 PM
I don't get what it is with idolizing crypto figures and patronizing their business. You can look up to these people but certainly don't let it affect the way you perceive their business. Binance as a CEX seem to be okay on the surface, and it's natural that it will be receiving a lot of notices from different countries and jurisdictions because there are still some regulations that need to be ironed out with the service and the country it is on.

But yeah, the general rule still stands in the crypto industry: not your keys, not your coins. So it's always best to just leave what you need to go around in the exchanges and take what you don't really want to sell or trade. Better be safe than sorry, after all.
2199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 12 years of a Legendary post on: June 05, 2023, 11:49:47 PM
I remember reading it for the first time in 2014. It was one of the threads that can be found on the top thread of Bitcoin Discussion. Lot of commenters on that thread were thankful for being at the right place at the right time, whereas there are some other people that also knew they made the right decision because they understood what bitcoin is for and believed that it will be worth something in the future. Fast forward 12 years, that 100 bitcoins would be worth at least $2.6 million by now, and I do hope that guy kept all of his coins.
2200  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: who Want To Bet On 2024 USA elections? on: June 05, 2023, 11:35:10 PM
~~~
Although all politicians are the same to me, I like Trump more 'for the simple fact that he is not a born politician.
I would agree with you. US politics seems to be about selecting the least dangerous option. At this point, Trump sounds like a better option when compared to Kamala or Biden. Kennedy is better option as well, but there is no chance that he will manage to win the Democrat primaries. Trump is not a perfect choice, but given the lack of other suitable options I guess a lot of people will be voting for him in 2024. One of his advantages is that he knows how to handle the economy. And Biden lacks that quality. Economy went on a downward spiral once he took over in 2020.
I for one, thought that Trump was the most dangerous option back then just because Biden looked like he's the reserved, calculating, and more sensible option since he knew politics that well. Turns out that I was wrong for the most part, and Trump's sly and dry remarks are way better than Biden not really knowing what to say at the right place and at the right time. A lot of questionable decisions made by the Democrats during Biden's administration made me switch sides for the 'lesser evil,' which is Trump. Although the MAGA poster boy seemed to be erratic and a lot more unpredictable, his policies made a lot of countries - even Russia and China - respect the US somewhat as he's form on what he says and does not back down against threats compared to Biden.
A huge possibility for Trump to win the next elections. Even if they put Harris on the slate, I don't think her popularity and what he did on the current administration is enough to win votes.
