It's Monday and we have no announcement. I think we were tricked again like the winter Jupiters...

My read is different. On weekend they said that news are coming "very soon".
I think that they got the news that chips were sent (Fri?), hence the message.
They will probably get them today or tomorrow and have to do minimal testing, hence I predict news in the next couple of days.
I would be very surprised if we got nothing by Thu.

I also got that impression. Hope they hurry up though, Easter is only a week and a bit away.

So it's only payment processors effected?
223  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 01, 2014, 03:53:50 PM
I thought it was real initially, but now I am not so sure that these rumours are true. Surely they'd give people more than 2 weeks to withdraw their money? what if you were on holiday and missed the announcement!?
Anyway the article has no real news, has it?

No credible source, just seems to be newspapers rehashing Big Bobby's quote from last week and citing the same source over and over again.

You must be careful with jokes on international forums, the humor is often lost in translation.  The Chinese, for example, seem to have taken that Coindesk article seriously.

Now they know how we feel every other month Wink

Cheesy

Hahahah!

Raskul, I'm not debating the validity of your information at all, but am interested if your source specifically mentioned Kncminer?
227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: April 01, 2014, 08:09:45 AM
Kurt on the forums:

"Hi,

This is just a rumour with no credible source. Our 20nm chips are being produced on schedule. Once they arrive we will let you all know."

228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: March 31, 2014, 05:37:49 PM
Quoted from the 20nm post...  "actual cybershuttle cycle time figures on the 20nm technology, which will be included in the Swedish mining manufacturer KnC and the US Cointerra, shows shuttle times of around 130days, with 16nm at 171 days."

Since KNC's 20nm is an industry 1st for AlChip and AST; where do the numbers come from?

a confidential document. you may now either choose to believe, or disbelieve. either way - keep your tinfoil hat on.

Are those times for RISC or CISC products?

An sha256 ASIC is a SINGLE INSTRUCTION part.
Way less complicated by comparison.

Me thinks you mix apples and oranges.

YMMV
Smiley

I have cointerra's statistical data on the same document.

yes KnC = apples and CT = oranges.

best wishes.

And 'actual shuttle times' for 28nm are 3-4 months.
KnC delivered in 8 weeks.

This was already discussed.

YMMV
Smiley

P.S. I'm not claiming KnC has another rabbit in the hat, but They DID have one in there as they said they did, previously.

shuttle times for 28nm were ~80 days, 8 weeks was I agree, very well done on their part.

Are KNC and Cointerra specifically referenced in this document??
229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: March 31, 2014, 04:42:02 PM
Cointerra kept their 20nm very quiet, or did I miss that??  Undecided

now THIS.. is a whole other shitstorm. that's all i'm saying on that particular matter.

PM me Wink interested to hear!

Searing, you think it is going to go down to $227 per BTC? I'd be surprised if it was that low.
232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: March 31, 2014, 01:12:48 PM
To lazy to link it but I just read a post in Mining Speculation that 20nm will be delayed until the end of 2014.

Just seen it now! Do you think it's real?

my sources were real enough.

Do you care to share who/where the information came from?

no sorry. their job would be at risk.

No worries. I wonder when they will update everyone Sad
Surprised that no one has posted it on their forum yet.

I'm led to believe it was 'mentioned upon' and instantly deleted.  Undecided

Damn! Sad

I'd have liked physical miners, but plan B is not that bad, at least I'll be saving on electricity prices I guess.

Something tells that this china fud willl be resolved in a neutral-weird way - it would be somewhat true, but exchanges wont close and it wont be the doomsday.

Kinda like sell on rumors buy on news kind of deal.

Like last time?

The Litecoin arms race begins  Grin

No no no, no arms race,
Litecoin is just a fad, as are all Alt Coins.

Bitcoin is where it is at. Focus on that and just ignore the other coins, they are just Bitcoin Wannabes.

I mean what could you do with a measly 650Mh? We bitcoiners are doing TERAHASH stuff.

RIGHT?!?!

Preaching to the wrong guy here mate, I'm right beside you. Preparing for a lot of Neptunes, the only reason I'm going to add the Titan to my arsenal is to take advantage of any boom that LTC might see and trade those for BTC.

I was more suggesting that LTC hardware companies are now really competing against each other. Personally LTC is not for me.

Why would LTC see a boom when everyone who mines LTC will be dumping LTC for BTC? The LTC/BTC ratio could go back to 0.02 or even below.

I get my equipment from reselling, never paid for a unit in my life, it's all profit after electricity so the ratio doesn't mean much to me, just more BTC in my wallet.
