221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] Mining Pool Hub - Multipool. Multialgo, Auto Exchange to any coin. on: November 23, 2016, 10:20:33 AM
Have noticed today the site response time is quite slow... 5-10sec sometimes to process get requests. Due to the DB upgrade?

Also, once auto-converted funds go onto the exchange how long does it sit without a trade before it is returned as the original coin? I take it you cannot manually pull it from the exchange?

Yeah. I upgraded db server with default parameters and it got huge slow down.
I'm configuring settings to optimize now.

Coins are traded as soon as it arrives at exchange site and satisfies confirms.
But there should be enough coins to be traded as exchange sites has minimal trade value (price * amount) like 0.0001 BTC.
This is one of the reason taking time to trade. Pool waits next arrival of coins to trade in this case.

The other reason is withdrawal. Pool waits until certain amount of coins to be piled up and withdraw them once to reduce withdrawal fee.

I can manually return your coin if you tell me your username (or user id number), and coin.

Usually normal exchange takes about 4 hours ~ 1 day.
Something in your exchange system is not working as you think it is, for example I was mining Verge, and point miners to your pool from time to time to mine Verge again. My exchange coins add and decrease as expected EXCEPT for: Verge-Scrypt   0   0   409.70969140   <--------those 409 VRG stay on the exchange forever. They have been there for weeks, back when price was 5 sats, but are now 3 sats. So I think the system tried to sell at 5 sats but the price dropped, so they have been stuck. When I mine more VRG they go to exchange and get sold............leaving me with 409 again. The same thing applies for several of the coins I've mined using a Baikal. The amounts are so small, like the 409 VRG or 40 ADZ, that I haven't bothered mentioning it.

is there a way to use the built in graphics adapter for monitor purposes only and mine with the other cards
Yes, connect through HDMI or whatever connections your monitor and mobo supports and set up in your bios to use it that way. Then in the mining software use the -di command to point the miner to the cards.

Why oh why do you have the site set to log people out? I don't want to be logged out EVER! I also don't want to set my auto-reload script to have to hammer your site every minute to stay logged in :/

MiningPoolHub's valid sign in session duration is about 5 hours.
I don't think it's short for most of users but decided to extend it to 3 days.

Session will be invalid when you close the web browser. So please don't close web browser or save the username/password in webbrowser and sign in easily.

I hope you like this new setting.
Do you need longer?
OK, then I don't know what the problem is on my end. Even when I set auto-refresh to 3 minutes I was getting logged out. 5 hours was plenty and 3 days is more than enough. Thanks for looking into it Smiley

@Claymore

Please adjust the timing of when your devfee starts. As it is your miner starts the devfee after X amount of mining time. But if watchdog kicks in a restarts the miner, it restarts the devfee countdown. This means that when a miner, your miner, has a problem it requeues the devfee to start well before an hour has past. To test it I "challenged" a card to ultimately fail so watchdog would restart. In 67 minutes your devfee started 4 times. The devfee needs to start at the END of an hour of mining, not a few minutes into it.

I don't know the timing on it, but if it was at a set time at the end of an hour, some people would just have a script restart it every 55 minutes, since restart is less time than devfee.

What would be better is if it just didn't reset time on watchdog restart, but kept track of how much time you mined better.

It is better to just have stable settings anyway, since unstable cards can also freeze system, or cause system restarts, which are longer. (not too bad on SSD).

Watchdog is a failsafe, it shouldn't be used to run unstable clocks/voltages/timings.
If someone is going to restart the miner to avoid the devfee, what difference does it make if it is at 5 minutes or 55 minutes? The restart is like 20 seconds and simple to do with a bat and task scheduler. As it is if you are max'n your card and it triggers watchdog, you actually lose money to increased devfees. Since it is in Claymore's best interest to encourage max'n out card for higher hashrate, he doesn't want to discourage that by it constantly restarting the devfee.

I had refused to share my modded rom for a Sapphire Nitro OC RX 480 8gb, but have been asked very politely by several people, soooooooo.......

http://www.filehosting.org/file/details/618115/Sapphire%20RX480%20NitroOC%20low%20watt%20modded%20vbios.rom

This rom should get ~112 Sol/s @55 watts. I don't use Trixx etc, just run it like it is, but of course you can toy with settings if you wish. My goal was highest hashrate at the lowest wattage. If you find it useful, I am not afraid of tips:

ZLC t1VAvb4hGh8Tj68TUSpq38859yCFUxHVmwK

Do you have anything for the 470 8gb version?

Thanks
No I don't.

Hello MiningPoolHub-Miners,

I have written a little application which helps miners to easily start mining on the MiningPoolHub-Pool.

For now zcash, zclassic, ethereum and ethereum-classic simple coin mining are available to mine through this app.

Have fun with this tool!  Wink

My most sincere apologies. When I looked at the interface I thought it was asking for the SITE password, which no one should ever give out to anyone.  Smiley

So with the price still declining... are people still mining and holding in hopes of a comeback or has everyone jumped back to ETH?

Normal that price is falling while the supply is increasing.
Ummm......you do realize coins are always increasing in supply.......at least until they max out in a few decades Tongue

@Xardas2014 and Rapidgator... can i use GPU-Z alongside crimson driver with built in wattman pls guide

@Xardas2014 what is another windows miner share plz
Thanks in advance
GPU-Z is an info tool for the most part and is safe to use and will not affect drivers or wattman. For the other windows miners just read my earlier posts.

you got 86sols/s on modded bios or changed mem n timing or on stock setting

Modded to change timing and TDP. If you look at the pic I posted it is running at ~55 watts. I haven't finished the mod yet. I'm not using wattool, wattman, trixx etc. Just my bios edits. I'm trying to keep the gpu running at 100% while using the least amount of power as possible. I'm fairly certain I could get 100+ sol/s out of it, but don't have time to mess with it right now.

can you share your modded bios rom here or via PM so i will update mine ?
edit : are you using SA with Python as you described earlier?
No I won't. Cards ASIC quality varies and my mod might work or might smoke your exact same card due to ASIC quality. There are plenty of tutorials on bios modding so you can do it yourself. Yes, I'm using SA with Python as described earlier. I'm also using Claymore on other rigs.

Hmm I'm still don't understand why not publishing linux version ? Is it technical problem ? or license problem  Cry

He is afraid of disassembling, stealing his code, removing fee, etc...
For linux there is open source miner with same speeds.
There is not one but two Windows miners that are free and faster than the current v4.0 Claymore miner. They work for AMD and nVidia also. If you are a Mac user, there is a version for that too.

what two miners are faster than claymore for windows ?
A couple of people worked to port SA to windows and mrb added some significant improvements and nVidia support. The SA community is quite active at the moment and the results are frankly faster than v4.0 on any OS.

What about stability? Do I need restart bats every two hours. Or has that been resolved?

Edit. Frankly they burned a lot of people not giving consideration to windows users   It's about who came first. Even if they come with slightly better miner. I'm going to further support claymore. this whole mess leaves sour taste.  When you post code for people to use for free and they find a way to make it far superior and charge a small fee don't be angry. Be happy that someone got use from your code. That's all the satisfaction one should need if they truly believe in open source.  I agree credit should have been given. Small mistake for the amount of grief that came from SA clan and company!

Edit edit. The more I think about this. Was this a calculated move by those who would love to see crypto fail?  Divide and conquer???  Hmmmm
BR
We have known each other for a long time, so I will opine with you. At first it appeared Claymore "borrowed" some code, but then that code, if actually borrowed, got much better. Now mrb and others have released even better code. I think that is healthy competition between hobbyist. Claymore, mrb, Genoil, and several others are a valuable asset to the community and hope they continue busting each others balls to be the best. I'm not sure if they are all releasing code incrementally on purpose, but the timing of releases make ya go hmmmm. Bottomline......it doesn't matter as long as the public has access to it. Support Claymore, his remote manager is excellent. Support mrb since he freely gives to the community. Hell support them all as I do. I think today I've mined more to their addresses while testing than I have to mine Tongue
236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v4.0 on: November 12, 2016, 08:04:42 AM
i've had a look at the SA miner.  its still effectively a Linux miner but using cygwin to be able to run on windows.  you also need to download a certain python package as well as the default windows one wont work

You see, that's why most people are perfectly happy to pay a fair fee to Claymore. Because he provides them added value. Those who don't value their own time can go and tinker around with some Linux crap. It's a free market.
If you can't download/run: https://www.python.org/ftp/python/3.6.0/python-3.6.0b3.exe and set up your bat file for SA then mining isn't for you.

As posted on another forum:

I was able to get Silentarmy v5 up and running in windows in under 5 minutes. I installed python - https://www.python.org/ftp/python/3.6.0/python-3.6.0b3.exe and downloaded the package https://github.com/dagf2101/silentarmy . Good to go on the first try.

@Claymore: There seems to be a bug with the -li parameter.

If I keep Teamviewer open, the speed won't drop and it remains at 75 H/s per card.

I had a very weird problem with Claymore and teamviewer, but since no one else ever mentioned it, I thought it was some random Kraken thing. I can have a look using teamviewer(TV) and the miner will simply stop. Hit "s" to see stats and it will either start going again or activate watchdog and restart. Then it will run until the sun explodes...........until I click on the TV window again  Huh

I've been running it 2-3 hours without any problem. RX 480, modded bios, i7 4770k also cpu mining.

Also testing it on a mixed rig with 3x380's and a 270x, all stock. 193-194 Sol/s steady, 1840 cpu @15% load,  Working flawlessly.
