hey guys, does windows 7 support 6 gpus on the h81 pro?

no support for 6 gpu's on win7

So what does everyone normally use?
Win10, but if you insist on trying this with Win7, this might help: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=712228.0;all

Hmm I'm still don't understand why not publishing linux version ? Is it technical problem ? or license problem  Cry

For linux there is open source miner with same speeds.
There is not one but two Windows miners that are free and faster than the current v4.0 Claymore miner. They work for AMD and nVidia also. If you are a Mac user, there is a version for that too.

A couple of people worked to port SA to windows and mrb added some significant improvements and nVidia support. The SA community is quite active at the moment and the results are frankly faster than v4.0 on any OS.

What about stability? Do I need restart bats every two hours. Or has that been resolved?

Edit. Frankly they burned a lot of people not giving consideration to windows users   It's about who came first. Even if they come with slightly better miner. I'm going to further support claymore. this whole mess leaves sour taste.  When you post code for people to use for free and they find a way to make it far superior and charge a small fee don't be angry. Small mistake for the amount of grief that came from SA clan and company!

Edit edit. The more I think about this. Was this a calculated move by those who would love to see crypto fail?  Divide and conquer???  Hmmmm

I've been running it 2-3 hours without any problem. RX 480, modded bios, i7 4770k also cpu mining.

Also testing it on a mixed rig with 3x380's and a 270x, all stock. 193-194 Sol/s steady, 1840 cpu @15% load,  Working flawlessly.

@Claymore: There seems to be a bug with the -li parameter.

R9 Nano does 100 H/s with stock ROM, pulling around 200W.

Since I prefer more silent operations, I use -li 2 and it does 75 H/s at 160W.

But... after some time the hashrate drops from 75 H/s to 60 H/s in this -li 2 mode.

I noticed it because noise level dropped, so fans spinned slower. However, as soon as I connect to each rig over Teamviewer the miner speeds up again to 75 H/s per card.

I am puzzled since all energy saving crap is disabled on these rigs and they work since a year without any such problem on many other coins.

I have not tried -li 2 on previous versions because it wasn't necessary before v 4.0

If I keep Teamviewer open, the speed won't drop and it remains at 75 H/s per card.

I had a very weird problem with Claymore and teamviewer, but since no one else ever mentioned it, I thought it was some random Kraken thing. I can have a look using teamviewer(TV) and the miner will simply stop. Hit "s" to see stats and it will either start going again or activate watchdog and restart. Then it will run until the sun explodes...........until I click on the TV window again  Huh

You see, that's why most people are perfectly happy to pay a fair fee to Claymore. Because he provides them added value. Those who don't value their own time can go and tinker around with some Linux crap. It's a free market.

If you can't download/run: https://www.python.org/ftp/python/3.6.0/python-3.6.0b3.exe and set up your bat file for SA then mining isn't for you.

As posted on another forum:

I was able to get Silentarmy v5 up and running in windows in under 5 minutes. I installed python - https://www.python.org/ftp/python/3.6.0/python-3.6.0b3.exe and downloaded the package https://github.com/dagf2101/silentarmy . Good to go on the first try.

We have known each other for a long time, so I will opine with you. At first it appeared Claymore "borrowed" some code, but then that code, if actually borrowed, got much better. Now mrb and others have released even better code. I think that is healthy competition between hobbyist. Claymore, mrb, Genoil, and several others are a valuable asset to the community and hope they continue busting each others balls to be the best. I'm not sure if they are all releasing code incrementally on purpose, but the timing of releases make ya go hmmmm. Bottomline......it doesn't matter as long as the public has access to it. Support Claymore, his remote manager is excellent. Support mrb since he freely gives to the community. Hell support them all as I do. I think today I've mined more to their addresses while testing than I have to mine Tongue

Assuming you're running W10:

Right click top of miner's windows, properties, Options tab, disable Quickedit Mode and Insert Mode.

Should solve the "freezing" when you click on the miner.

GPU-Z is an info tool for the most part and is safe to use and will not affect drivers or wattman. For the other windows miners just read my earlier posts.

COMMAND LINE OPTIONS:

-i   mining intensity. Possible values: 0, 1, 2. 0 - lowest intensity and CPU usage, 2 - maximal intensity. You can also specify values for every card, for example "-i 0,2,1".

Hi Claymore,

Is it possible that you explain the workings of / the effect this switch has on the system and how this effects an already overclocked GPU ?

Cheers !
