It seems I must be here all the time, as soon as I decide to take a break, something interesting happens Smiley
Ok, I did not check this new Linux miner, but it seems it's faster than current version of my miner, at least in Linux.
So in a day I will release faster version.

for Windows?

Of course.

Please read Readme and FAQ in the first post of this thread before asking any questions, probably the answer is already there.

I sent a support ticket to mining rentals a month ago and they said that they not support claymore's miner. I'm not sure if they end up adding support now.

I use the R9 Nano to mine with Claymore V4. For 6 cards, I can get about 600 Sol/s. But the power consumption is about 1200W, is that normal?

Yes, unless you undervolt them. They run stable at -72mV on core with v4.0 at 100 H/s. Probably you could go even lower.

If you operate them in a very cold environment 24/7 at 200W shouldn't be a problem, with the fans spinning at 20%. If you operate them at room temperature without additional forced air cooling, 24/7 at 200W will not be good for the fans since they will spin at 50% or higher and likely not live very long.

What's the best core voltage for 290x and 280x

Try 1.025 or 1.050 V for the 280x, should be fine as long as its headless.

R9 290 varies mainly by ASIC quality.

For everyone who is complaining about electricity watch this. This is how power consumption was back during the Litecoin days with Scrypt.

350Watts per 280X at the wall. And you guys are complaing about 100Watts or so. So spoiled kids these days.

R9 290 varies mainly by ASIC quality.

My 290s will do -87mv to -100mv easily with stock bios but as said it depends on asic quality, on this algo -100mv should be no problem but on eth -100mv may crash.

I do -87mv since it is stable there for all my 290s and hardly much difference in temps/watts between -87 and -100.

yeah...he is saying claymore is greedy with the fee and he wanted him to make linux miner so he can make more money haha

anyway saying "we will all mine same coins anyway" ... claymore zcash miner is on windows only and there are other competing miners out there...so we will not get the same coins, in a grand scheme of things.

Yeah, my 7x 7970 rigs were brutal when mining scrypt. Don't miss those days at all.

All of those GPUs survived thanks to heavy undervolting, and are still mining to this day.

So with the price still declining... are people still mining and holding in hopes of a comeback or has everyone jumped back to ETH?

Normal that price is falling while the supply is increasing.

We are not at the full block reward yet.  It will be interesting to see in about 3 weeks time where the price falls or climbs.

I saw that there is a way to run Linux miner's on Windows 10 64bits. Is this possible?

i'm am wondering too

Yes, through Cygwin64! I've just done it.

Which are the minimum Cygwin64 components we need to install?
