221  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it proper for one to trade Bitcoin through a trusted friend ? on: June 02, 2024, 09:19:16 AM
Haven't nurturing this idea of trading a Bitcoin in the near future, but one question that's always come as a concern to me is. Is proper for me to trust a friend of that high magnitude ?
Let me say you aren't clear about this, so my response will be limited to you even though I will try to make it thorough. First, you have to know the difference between trading and investment as some people mistake the two for each other. If it is about investment, why not open your own non-custodial wallet and use your credit cards to move funds into it? Better still, if your country's credit card is having issues with international transactions just like mine due to the scarcity of FX, why not open an exchange account, verify it, send funds into your crypto through P2P and move the money to the self-custody wallet?

For trading, for you to have believed you can entrust your money into the care of your friend to trade for you could mean that you can't do it yourself due to one reason or another. Although I advise people to trade by themselves, after all, they can learn it, this is still not necessary at the same time if you do not have the time or lack interest in it in direct trading, especially when you have a friend that is good at it. But wait, don't just entrust your money into the hands of your friend, ask questions, and let him give you proof that he is a good trader to avoid wasting your money. This is because trading is risky and you can easily lose your money, this happens daily.

This is not the first time a friend will entrust trading money in the hands of another friend, but they often lose the money. You may also go for the various social trading initiatives, they are viable alternatives in case you can't trust your money with a friend. In the social trading arrangement, you will only connect your account to an expert/signal provider account and you will see the account earning or losing for you. This is why you have to learn how this works so that you can research to choose the right service provider account that can be positive to your account.
222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can any meme coin challenge bitcoin in future ? on: June 02, 2024, 08:50:15 AM
Is it possible that some meme coin might challenge bitcoin in future ? Why or why not ? I personally feel that though we may see some mem coin making it really big but it will never be at the level to challenge bitcoin.
I've always said that memes are a big name in the cryptocurrency industry, a name that will never be erased, but for it to overtake Bitcoin will only happen in the dream. This is unless the government clamped down on Bitcoin and other decentralised coins/tokens, but still, it may not be meme coins/tokens that will take that number 1 space due to what they are being created for.

However, in the absence of the government playing politics with Bitcoin, I am certain that it will continue to hold the top position in the crypto world, and this is partly because it is the pioneer of all cryptocurrencies, and also for the fact that it is a truly decentralised blockchain that no one has the absolute right about it. If at all Bitcoin would relinquish this position, it should have done that many years ago since it is not without flaws. It is these flaws that are giving many other coins/tokens relevance with people as they are able to cover up for the shortcomings of Bitcoin in all possible ramifications which include but are not limited to scalability, fee and speed.
223  Economy / Gambling / Re: Unreasonable Withdrawal Limits on Betiro on: June 02, 2024, 08:16:59 AM
This is not the first time I read a similar story, which means that it is now becoming the reigning evil plan of some casinos, especially the small ones. This is why I often advise gamblers not to go for anyhow/random casinos because it is highly possible that their big winnings will not be paid even if the casino wants to pay the winnings. Inasmuch as they do not have the money to pay, there is nothing you can do, you will have to wait.

But first, have you contacted them aside from the terms of condition you read about the withdrawal and the ugly experience while trying to withdraw your money? This could help further as it could be some kind of internal error on your account, it happens, so don't let us conclude yet if you've not done that.

However in the absence of that, this is certainly not fair, they can collect your deposits as big as it is but can't pay you your withdrawal, which is bad. They might have used the $50,000 monthly withdrawal written in their Ts&Cs to lure people into their casino for them to believe that they are well-capitalised, but upon dealing with them, the revelation will be clear in a bitter way. I hope that you get your money back sooner or later.

Before I go, let me advise you, have it in mind that you are ending your relationship with them, it's not worth it, but they may stop paying you the $500 daily withdrawal limit if you stop betting with them, because such a casino is not in for any good. You may continue betting with a very small amount of money even as you continue to move out your money daily. By the 42nd day, you would have withdrawn all your money.

This is very annoying, it's just a way to entrap one's money for unfair reasons.
224  Economy / Gambling / Re: I would like to place a $1,000,000 bet on: June 02, 2024, 07:55:30 AM
I remember here the story, how the gambler made big bets with small odds, less than 1.1. But the result was that he lost such a bet. I don`t believe that someone is ready to bet $1.000.000 on the team, that costs less than the bet. And plan to win more than this team costs. The same time, in this thread we see how the OP draws screenshots. I can`t say that it can increase my trust to his words.
Maybe that gambler was also him? Because the OP is active in gambling and he already showed the people here how he roll. Even though he also use high amounts before, this one here is indeed seems unbelievable already and I think that even the celeb gamblers can't do the same thing. That is how gambling goes.

Sometimes we win but most of the times we lose. Maybe the amounts that will be staked are unbelievable but it is legit that people are willing to risk more in a low-odd game, as their chance to win on there is high than the other way around and this is why it is normal that our winnings will be lesser than the money that we staked.
I don`t think so. The OP was caught on drawing screenshots less than $100.000. I don`t think he is possible to bet $1.000.000.
If you have big sum betting low odd can be a strategy. You can bet lots of such games every day. So if you make 2-3 such bets per day you doubles your bet twice per week. Of course you can lose sometimes, but it is really difficult with such odds. There are only 2 problems in such strategy - you can lose all your money too fast and if you have small money you have to risk increasing your bet after every win and it increases your chances to lost everything.
$1.000.000 is no small amount. With this amount, this family can live its entire life in Asian countries. It seems a little unbelievable when one talks about using such an amount to gamble. But it is true that there are gamblers who use huge amounts in gambling and lose and win again. Gambling is very addictive game where some people end their lives when addicted. for this, one has to be very careful while enjoying gambling so as not to become addicted to it
Yes, $1m is no joke, I also have my reservations about the people claiming they are making bets with this amount, they must have been so rich to be able to achieve that. But since we can't verify as we do not even see each other not to mention verifying, we can just give it the benefit of the doubt. But I read from the last post of the OP as I was reading the thread upwards that he had some proofs attached with the IDs, well, we can't still verify, it is the companies involved that can do that. These days on the internet, anything you see may not be what it actually is, that is the issue.

Besides, I wonder how people are so confident and daring to be betting $1m online with a company you've never seen in the physically or have an agreed term with them and sign some papers, or issue you some kind of official VIP cards to make it better provable. I don't think that I can do a thing like that, it is too risky. If it is a physical casino, it is better, but online these days, you might be creating much more trouble than you expected because if you bet with $1m and win an insane amount, who will pay, or be held if not paid the winning? Well, betting with a well-liquid casino is still a good one, but still, the fear will be there, to be honest. To avoid much fear, it would be better to distribute the money among casinos if I were the person.
225  Economy / Gambling / Re: My betting strategies on: June 02, 2024, 07:35:54 AM
There is no strategy in playing gambling in my dictionary, but what is there is looking for a lucky day because playing gambling is not playing strategy but how can we look for weaknesses in the robots in it because without us realizing that we are gambling the same as fighting against systems and robots that have been installed? set as best as possible to get the win..
You are funny, perhaps you do not want to face the reality. Notwithstanding, I agree with you if it is the casino section of gambling you are talking about, and about what you called the robots and systems, it's the algorithms that were coded in the game we are playing. It is difficult to beat these programs, and the more you try, the more you fail, except a few times that it will be relaxed for people to gain, which is where the popular "luck" in gambling comes into play because it could be the time of anyone for that luck to strike. I believe this is majorly planned so that people will not get weary of a 100% loss in casinos, so it is smartness by them. You can see that you can't beat the house in this way. So you should know I quite agree with you 100% here.

But what I refuse to align with is you generalizing this, that is not right. In gambling, we have casinos and sports betting classes, so what applies to the casino branch isn't automatically applicable to sports betting. And if I ask you, who is playing algorithms against you in real sports betting? That is it. This is also a branch of gambling that is fair enough and gives you the opportunity to make the right calculations and speculations with as much as possible information you can gather. So this kind of betting makes it possible for the skills of the gambler to be effectively utilized, and even as luck is inclusive for gamblers to win, the expertise is more needed and it will reflect in the winning of the gambler if he is indeed good at what he does in sports betting.
226  Other / Meta / Re: Am I right with the interpretation of this forum rule? on: June 02, 2024, 07:15:06 AM
Recently I saw this very active thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5132720.8860 about Bitcoin holding. Most of the post in there is more on multiple quoted messages which is already looks like a wall.

-snip-

My question is am I right on the interpretation for the quote pyramid? Or is there a different meaning on that word. Please enlighten me with this rule.
It's been a while since I read the forum rule in case there's an update, but I do not think that the pyramid quote rule was defined to the extent you are taking it. And the quotes in the links you attached are still minimal in my opinion. There are many well-experienced and reputable members quoting people this way and I quite understand the reason. Sometimes, it will be a missing piece if some users' quotes are not added to avoid missing the link in the communication to make it easily readable by any new reader. This kind of act is not peculiar to this forum but to all forums that I have witnessed. I am just saying this so that you will not misquote that "pyramid" context.

If you look at the pyramid itself where the term was coined, you would see that it is long and has a peculiar pattern/shape, and for me, those quote-in-quotes have not reached that view yet. It would have had many members reply to it in quotes to achieve that. But this is unlike the one you posted above, none of them looks like a pyramid to me. If you see a true pyramid caused by quotes, you will naturally know and I have seen a few on the forum before, especially in the gambling section of the forum.

In other words, if at all there is a break of the anti-pyramid rule of the forum, a few quotes like you posted above are not one of them. It has to be way longer and more annoying to break such a rule in my opinion. I hope you are enlightened as enquired.
227  Other / Meta / Re: The major motivation we have now in BTT on: June 01, 2024, 08:17:35 PM
You all can agree with me that since December 2023, the activity/activeness of forum members here have been declining due to one of these factors;

⏺️lack of quality threads more especially those relating to Bitcoin discussions.

⏺️Lack of Reliable and Reputable signature campaigns

⏺️The ban that was placed on some signature campaign companies in the forum and some others.

Now, what has been keeping the forum moving is the activeness of some merit sources that have been distributing merits to quality posts in recent times
-snip-
Frankly, some of your points are not true and even conflicting, because if there are no quality threads why are merit sources meriting what you called quality posts which in most cases are new threads created?

Regardless, this is not the first time I've read some people finding excuses that the forum now lacks quality topics, but I disagree, the forum can't do more than it is doing now, and in my assessment, though post number may reduce a little, yet it is doing very well (all usual sections are active) except for a reduced campaign which was caused by the obvious reasons.

Also, we cannot deny that the forum is stretched already. A forum that has had a whole lot of quality discussions that doesn't allow repetition, do you think it is all the time such discussion will be coming on board, where will it be coming from? This is unless there are new events related to cryptocurrency and I do not think that such events often miss the radar of the forum.

For me, the forum is still very healthy like before.
228  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this true or some superstitious believe about gambling? on: June 01, 2024, 07:53:40 PM
-snip
What's your opinion about this please?
Hahaha...I can't stop laughing in Chinese here Grin I hope you thank the man eventually. That would be a polite thing to do. Frankly, he is right in a way whether you like it or not because in any avenue where money could be wasted, the devil could be a tool there just to punish someone and make his/her life miserable. So we should not totally disregard that, spiritual things are real even if we are either ignorant of them or do not care about them.

However, I will not go there further than that because many of these things they relate spirituality to are merely psychological things which can also be proven psychologically. We have different human natures, some are very weak and gullible, while some are very strong, smart and wise, it depends on the one in question that determines how they give in to gambling and also manage themselves and are cautious towards it.

In another aspect other than gambling, you see how some people exhibit folly that would have cost them so much if it were to be gambling or other serious affairs. So some people could be foolish and weak on their own and I so much expect such people to become miserable in the hands of gambling if they dare it instead of people always relating spirituality to it.

Just because we can't control our urges doesn't automatically mean a spirit is controlling us.

229  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not place to make money is place to lose it? on: June 01, 2024, 06:59:01 PM
When I decide to bet on something, I do it for the adrenaline, if we just want to win money, you don't focus that much on the game, unless the game depends solely on luck.

It's true that the advantage will always be with the house, they may even let you win a little, but you will certainly lose more than win. Just yesterday I was playing, in the first or second round of a game (fortune tiger) I got a super win of 8$, if I had stopped and withdrawn, I could have made a profit. I bet very little because I always bet what I am willing to lose.
You don't bet for the money but adrenaline, how? Do you want gambling to energise you or what, or you are referring to the fun part? This adrenaline of a thing is scary to me if I must say because it is getting to some kind of extreme if what I am thinking is the case. Regardless, it is good that we gamble with the mind that is not thinking about the money, that's the only way we can relax and get the best out of gambling. Also, I agree with you about what I can simply term as the house advantage, but still, it is not all aspects of gambling that the house has that edge over the player.

In casino betting like the Fortune Tiger you mentioned, of course, there is an algorithm you are playing against, and I do not think that house will let you be wining all the time. But this is not possible in sports betting, both you and the house have equal opportunity. They can only be praying that you do not win, that is the worst they can do. But for them to tweak anything against you, that is not possible, at least that I know of. Above all, I like the plan you are going for, you are betting with a small amount of money which is what casino gambling takes, otherwise, you may lose too much and be bitter with yourself.
230  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you care about what people say about you gambling? on: June 01, 2024, 06:38:45 PM
I do a little care. Cause if someone stranger saw me monitoring my games and then if he or she start giving me advice or start telling negative things about gambling, although I won't care but such things will make me uncomfortable and annoying. Although there's no problem if any of my friend saw that and tell me anything about gambling. But I don't like if someone stranger show his headache about my personal matter. Although I don't have problem but I'll feel a little awkward in that situation. That's why it's better to careful from beginning. Well nowadays Gamblers are increasing, what makes gambling a common thing in my country. But till now, i experience nobody cares what I'm doing or don't interfair in anyone'r personal thing
Honestly, I can't decipher what you mean actually, all I can say is that I was just reading "I care," I don't care," I don't even know the one to go for anymore Smiley

Really, I do not see a reason why we should care about strangers, they are not known to us and neither do we know them, so it is better it stays like that, who cares? But to those who know me and I know them, fine, I can accord them some kind of familiarity and respect, but still, they should not go beyond their boundaries because they have their lives to live and I have mine to live as well. Don't forget that the moment you give people a chance to play or talk down on you and give them the chance to try to be the perfect one who knows the best way to behave, from that moment you are losing it and might be looking down on yourself as well.

What I do not support is irresponsibility, and if my lifestyle is responsible and I am gambling as well, who cares? I don't think anyone will even have the nerve to walk to me to condemn what I am doing. They will, of course, think twice, unless they are driving religion to it, which is also left for me to give it a listening ear.
231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🚨Be careful with Shuffle Crypto Casino. Im Worried about Shuffle Casino Staff. on: June 01, 2024, 01:44:03 PM
Oh my...If this is true, then it is so sad, and it could be so regretful and annoying. Fine, this is not the first time that people's data were leaked out of their consent and I do not think I can trust a small and big casino in this regard, and more reasons why some people prefer the no-KYC casinos. Who is to protect our data even as the government doesn't care but all for us to complete the KYC by force?

The most annoying part is for the person to detect by himself even as it is being circulated freely on social media, that is so pathetic. But still, you've never shown a single proof in this regard, I mean a proof that will also make Shuffle accountable for this. Although proofs like this will be difficult to share since it is going to amount to further leaking of your information online, at least, you can still link Shuffle one way or another if you are really sure.

Wait a minute, what if it is not Shuffle who leaked your data? You know you can be sued if got hold of, right?
232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who says you can't be a millionaire in sports betting? on: June 01, 2024, 10:53:11 AM
When it comes to gambling, everything that's financially related is just possible to achieve even with the least amount of money. I've been able to see someone win over $50,000 with a stake price of just $5 five year ago and even up to this very moment, we still hear reports of such outrageous wins from other parts of the world.
However the possibility of getting such wins are very slim and if a gambler starts sports betting just to become a millionaire through it, there's every possiblity that things might not turn out well the way he thinks of it. So it's very possible to become a millionaire from sports betting but the truth is that it's very rare to see people who achieve that especially low income stakers
It is critical that anyone that is seriously considering becoming a professional sport bettor also keeps their expectations in check, for what I know a good sport bettor can earn up to 50% of their initial capital during a whole year, so someone that started out with 100k dollars will need 6 years to achieve their goal of becoming a millionaire, and as you can see a huge amount of money is needed for that to be true, so I would guess very few people actually have what it is necessary to become millionaires with gambling.
One thing about sport bets is that we can actually keep making a lot of money if we are not greedy. Greed is one of the problem of gamblers that is why we can see that someone could make money now and later lose it because they are not stable and have some atom of greed in them. We can actually keep making money in gambling especially sport bets when we can utilize every opportunity to try and make money for ourselves. The rate at which people are becoming gambling, betting on sport bets is alarming and if care is not taken, it could have more users than any other sport or bets.
I think we should condemn greed minimally if we want to make huge money in sports betting as greed works hand in hand with risks for the gambler to make huge money. If not, just stay conservative and not expect much winning even as you avoid greed to the barest minimum. The choice is yours. You do not say you want to make six figures in your gambling escapades and be so conservative, it doesn't work like that. The more you risk with greed and aggressiveness, the more the possibility to make a huge win and become the millionaire this subject matter is talking about. It doesn't fall from thin air, you have to sacrifice something, and what you sacrifice here is what you risk, and you can't risk high if you are not greedy about it. Are you getting the point now?

This could sound off, but it's the truth, nevertheless, you have a choice as greed will always be a function of a choice whether it is conscious or unconscious. Just like me, I choose to be conservative in my gambling, so I am not expecting any millions because my gambling style and management will not even allow me to dream it. That is why I said it is by choice. The millionaire level is not a child's play and note that you can never get to that level without an iota of greed unless you are already rich yourself to have wagered a huge amount of money.

I tell you, greed is not particularly evil, I got to know that through trading, and if you are such that is wise and smart and determined to follow a good trading system with a plan, I am certain that greed can even work for you. But that is provided greed is included in the plan from the beginning and the system is also a very strong and effective one.
233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would you do if you are loged out from your Sportsbet app after wining? on: June 01, 2024, 10:25:27 AM
I don't know if such thread has been created already but there was a news that was trending some weeks ago about a man who won #14million Naira which is equivalent to $10k and was logged out of his sport bet account, he tried severally to access his money but didn't Work out. he sent the Sport betting site a message but didn't get a positive feedback so he had to come out publicly to explain his predicament on air. Below is the link Man logged out of his Sportybet account seeks access to his N14m

My question is has anyone of you been in such situation before? And how were you able to handle such situation?
I feel for this guy, this story is very pathetic and shows the evil of some of these gambling platforms that are just flooding the world. At the same time, it is another eye-opener and a call for us to be more careful, we should make sure that we are dealing with the right casinos and sportsbooks, by doing this, we will just be fine. The $10,000 is no big deal for well-liquid casinos and sportsbooks, so be warned and be advised to avoid issues like this.

However, if I were this guy, the first thing to do is to take up the issue with them and threaten them with their regulator (if any), but if this is not helping, I think heading to court is the solution. You should pray to the court to collect your winning for you, get damages for you, and also make them pay all the legal fees you used to secure justice in this case so that you will lose nothing. Upon seeing your seriousness, they might want to settle it out of court and you will get your money. And since this is a local betting, it will be easier.

Also, it is good for gamblers to have their record often screenshots or screen-videoed at times so that they at least have some proof to tender in a case like this. Let all your betting tickets have self-records especially when you know you are expecting to win a big amount of money.
234  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Anyone +18 Play Gamble? on: June 01, 2024, 08:41:59 AM
The legal age to gamble can be over 16/18/21 or whatever is enough for someone to gamble either in an online casino or by visiting a physical world casino cause adults are supposed to decide what they need to do and there is no point in asking for the experience if someone wants to start something new cause everyone has to start from zero at some point.

While registering on an online platform you will be asked about your age or it will be mentioned in the ToS.

In all countries and also gambling plates today, of course, the age of 18 years is the age limit for someone to gamble, but can it make teenagers avoid gambling so far?
I don't think so, because at this time I think many of the gamblers are underage because indeed they can trick the site by using fake identification cards to create an account on a gambling site, besides that when we open a gambling site and we are told to confirm our age, wouldn't we also mention above 18 years even though it is actually not, just for the sake of being able to access the gambling site page,  I think Tos and whatever it is that is required as a condition of gambling over the age of 18 will certainly not apply to those who are interested in gambling all this time even if they are under 18 years old.

I think gambling platforms only make Tos as one of the provisions that apply as a formal requirement and of course they also don't care who plays gambling whether they are over 18 years old or not because they certainly cannot control anyone who really wants to gamble and access the platform, so far parents should be the main supervisors for children to avoid gambling.

If someone chose to fake their identity then they are at the fault here not the platform because they made it clear only people above certain age are allowed to gamble and nowadays KYC is mandated to withdraw any money so that if teen is using their parents ID to bypass that requirement then they are doing the crime which is supposed to be supervised by their parents.

Casinos can implement much strict KYC standards like live verification but it's going to cost them their profits cause it is highly inconvenient for actual gamblers.

Your quite right about this but I think they should also reduce their advertisement to +18 too, you can't show something to a child and tell him not to touch it knowing how curious it would make him, so at same time I think the above 18 rule is just a way to save themselves from accusations that they allow underaged to gamble. To prove this how many casinos have a strict rule of taking some government issued id before allowing you to access them or use them, this only comes after or during withdrawal of funds.
You have a point there, but at the same time, there are children who will do exactly as you tell them because you brought them up well and this is a challenge to every parent. These good children are not angels, they are regular children, it depends on the upbringing in most cases. Just like the article I read recently, enough of this adamance in children is either directly or indirectly caused by their parents. Of course, some children could be very stubborn or learn some bad ideas from their friends and older people in the absence of their parents, but still, as a responsible parent, you should be more sensitive and smart so that you can weigh in in terms of education in that aspect before its too late. That's part of the tasks of parenting.

However in this, the parents, the government and casinos have their quota to contribute here. Just as I had mentioned of the role of parents, the government should be up and doing as well, this is possible in their regulations, monitoring and sanctioning of erring casinos. This is even a means for the government to make more money through penalties issued to the bad heads among them. Finally, casinos should be responsible and put it upon themselves to avoid a thing like this for the benefit of society. They should look beyond the money above all these but the moral aspect of it as the quota they can contribute to the world.
235  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your biggest winning odd for single match? on: June 01, 2024, 08:25:37 AM
Let's share our biggest winning odd.

Last month I won a bet with 7.5 odd.
I bet on Tennis against Rafael Nadal.  Grin Grin Grin
Congratulations to you my friend, but I must say that you risked big, and for you to have won it big, you deserve it. But I will not call myself a coward even as I couldn't replicate your high winning record or have some similar winnings close to it. In my conclusion on what happened, since it is a single winning, it is clear even before mentioning it that you had betted against the most popular star ( Rafael Nadal) that is the only reason why the odds are that big in a single winning. But my friend, I am different from you and try to be as conservative as I can. For this, I only analyzed my stars/teams positively and picked my options due to popularity and based on old and current performances, so I wouldn't have chosen against the popularity which handed you that huge odds.

For this, the highest odd I've ever hit was about 2.7. Like I always say, I am a conservative bettor who also considers my psychology and the management of my gambling portfolio above anything else. I do not allow my feelings or negative temptation of the bigger old to shift my ground on my style of betting and I intend to keep it that way to avoid issues. Someone like you may win this kind of bet once in a way, but I tell you, I win my bets regularly by sticking to my ideology.
236  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not fall for success stories of bitcoin investors on: June 01, 2024, 08:01:19 AM
I have seen new investors being carried out by seeing the success of big bitcoin investors. But , this is wrong approach in my opinion. Because, I personally feel that most of the people fail and they will never share their story. So, most of the stories that new guy searches , he will find only good success stories. But that is not correct overall picture. One should keep the limitations of crypto in mind as well. What is your opinion about this ?
No doubt that Bitcoin investors have enough good stories to tell and testimonies to share. This is however not the oldest and older stories alone but also the most recent ones, yes, I mean the ones that happened in less than a year. This is because Bitcoin is the epitome of testimonies, it happens daily, except that it is not everybody who will be able to share such a testimony for many reasons whether is caused by Bitcoin or not. But, if you use the aggression of the oldest stories of Bitcoin investors to judge and hence invest with that mindset, you will be making a whole lot of mistakes because, the coin was very low in price at that time, so some people even made more than x73000 of their investment in it.

The fact now is that can that happen again? This is the reality that anyone trying to invest in Bitcoin should take into consideration. The price of Bitcoin is high now, it takes wisdom and good speculative power to earn from it. People may still invest and gain money easily through it, but be sure that it can't earn you as multiple as you might have read online, no, that can only be in your dreams and imagination as Bitcoin may even find it difficult to move past $100,000 in this bullish cycle and I wonder what its fate would be in the bearish cycle coming.

So no one should entrap themselves in the name of the success story of Bitcoin as the conditions are no longer the same, or else they will regret it.
237  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Always Be in an Uptrend? on: June 01, 2024, 07:38:28 AM
Since the launch of a bitcoin exchange-traded fund earlier this year, bitcoin has recovered and even surpassed its all-time highs set during the 2021 bull run. But for weeks, it looked like the largest cryptocurrency was trading sideways at best.
I am never surprised about what is happening in the world of Bitcoin now, I knew a thing like this might happen where the coin would be begging for liquidity to reach some certain high levels. This is mainly because of FUD and the fact that it has reached a high level that is discouraging for investment, as investors would not want to easily commit their money to it at a high and risky level.

Fine, the ETF saga helped Bitcoin to rise, and that happened before the much-anticipated halving which is now becoming a discouragement for the coin as Bitcoin was unable to hit its ATH after halving till now and it is gradually nearing 2 months now after it. The ETF filing of last year and the dramas attributed to it have changed the narratives in the world of Bitcoin which I believe is not so symbolic in terms of liquidity attracted to Bitcoin itself but only for the sentiment created.

Yet, after the ETF has successfully been approved, what has been so significant about the direct investment into Bitcoin through it? That has been my plight initially that people seem not to understand. This is because Bitcoin is accessible by itself without ETF, so the ETF that people hyped so much might not attract as many direct investments as people thought, just as we see today. Well, time will tell and we are patiently watching. Regardless, for now, nothing serious is to be expected unless the ATH at around $73,850 is breached upward.
238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance launches Notcoin (NOT) on launchpool. on: June 01, 2024, 07:20:25 AM
You can stake BNB and FUSD to farm NOT coins. Tap to earn mining rewards. Listing will happen on 16th and trading will start from 12:00 UTC. Including Binance two other exchanges OKX and Bybit will list NOT coin. Those who had mined the coin will be able to claim them on the listing date which is same for other two exchanges.

What do you guys think? Will NOT pump after listing or will it get dump?
I must say that Notcoin caught me off guard, I never believed that it could be this successful. Well, thanks to their innovative idea of tapping which is unique in the world of cryptocurrency, it really earns them a huge popularity. This tapping of things was successful to the point that the founder of Telegram Pavel Durov was thrilled to make a comment about it that it was a success. This is now the pioneer of tapping system for mining cryptocurrency, but very soon, as we know people, they will be joining the system to replicate the success of the coin.

Even after listing on prominent exchanges like Bybit and Binance, I was still doubtful of the fact that the success of initial presales marketing may not be sustainable after the coin's listing, but I was wrong, Notcoin more than doubled its listing price on Binance this week. The coin is a success as far as I am concerned. Now, if it can return lower to 0.007000, I might own a sizeable amount of investment in it because the brains behind it prove to know what they are doing.
239  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do some people hide to gamble on: May 31, 2024, 04:07:42 PM
Anyhow you gamble to win, you can continue using the strategy, if hiding to gamble is what is favouring you, you can continue using it to gamble but ensure your winning is more higher than your losing.
I don't understand what you are saying here. Hiding while gambling is not a strategy to make wins in gambling. It is the bet and games you play that determines your wins or loses. If you choose to hide whenever you are gambling i feel you will not be relaxed and comfortable to gamble because you will be watching if someone is seeing you do so. In my opinion the most favorable and conducive way to gamble is to use your smart phone or any gadget. Then the next thing is to pay attention to our bets without caring if someone is noticing us. As far as i know it is not a crime to gamble and i choose to gambler whenever i want as long as i am not inconveniencing anyone.
I believe he was just kidding with his remark because I do not see any sense in it as the complete statement has a neutral tone in my view. For worth it worth, I see no reason why I would be hiding to gamble, if I am not up to the task, bold or aged enough, why then do it? This is better than hiding to gamble, it shows that I do not have a mind of my own and trying to live my life to please others, no, I will not do that. I do what I am proud of and avoid what I am not proud of, and I make sure that I take responsibility for whatever I do, so since no one will take that responsibility for me, why respect/fear people more than myself and more than what I believe?

This is why I do my thing the way and how I want it, but of course, my gambling is always private, this is because I gamble online and since my gadget is private, so is my gambling. This is not purposefully to avoid people seeing me, but because I love my comfort and privacy, these are different things. Had it been there is no means to be gambling in my privacy, oh boy, I would gladly be gambling wherever it is possible without giving it a thought about what anyone would think or say about me. It is my life, bro, I live it the way I like.

Nonetheless, one thing I make sure of is that I do not lead an irresponsible lifestyle which I am so proud of myself for, so I will continue to do me.
240  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: People keep asking me to borrow money, some of them for betting on: May 31, 2024, 11:50:42 AM
Some people even go so far as to ask me to borrow money for what? to bet!! What a joke. I answer briefly and bluntly that I don't have the money to lend for these purposes!

And the worst thing is that they ask me for small amounts, like $2, 5, 10$... I think that if the person doesn't have that money now, the chances of them getting that money to pay you are low. If the person is in need, it's easier for them to confess right away to see what I can do, because I'm not a bad person.

Do you usually lend money to relatives, friends, etc.? Have you ever felt bad about it, done it unwillingly?

And when they are female friends, do you lend them?
If your friends are asking you to borrow them like $2 or $5, then you should know you want to do a free gift. Cool Many of them may not pay it back and you will surely forget it later if you are blessed with enough. But first, on judging all that you've narrated, what I can say here is that you might not be keeping the right circle of friends, so if you are a comfortable person among many of them who are not comfortable, it is still an issue and there is no way you will not continue to feel their burden and disturbance on you.

This is why it is good to keep the right circle of friends so that none of you will depend on the other for anything, and if at all some are facing one or two challenges, you will surely understand and help. But not in a situation where the friend appears irresponsible always. You can imagine the person who borrowed money from you but was unable to return it as and when due and those ones who are likely to bet with the money borrowed. These are irresponsible friends, to say the least.

Also, yes, I've lent my relative money and it was a big amount of money and was paid even before the stipulated time. This is what we call trust and a responsible act, and I assess very well before I lend my money out as some will not return it back. This has happened to them many times in the past but I've already cut off such a circle of friend. As for female friends, I like to avoid them in this context but give them a bit I can let go of. Should in case she insists and she is responsible at the same time, why not?
