221  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: How much Data/Month Would a Miner use? on: January 12, 2015, 06:51:10 AM
The only concern would be the stability of the connection. I don't know what its like over where you are but down here in Australia, wireless is pretty shit.
222  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Pics of Large Miner Hosting Center Under Construction on: January 12, 2015, 06:48:58 AM
This looks pretty cool actually. Where is this located(country wise)? Someone should set something like this up down in Australia!

What the other guy said about leveling out, 10 - 14hrs between blocks.
224  Economy / Economics / Re: Price drop : bitcoinners happy ? on: January 11, 2015, 01:16:39 AM
Isn't that the main issue with the bitcoin at the moment? These merchants who immediately sell are quite likely undercutting the market and dragging the price down. If everyone started selling their precious metals and competing for sales, the price will drop. The same thing is happening with oil. Down to $40 a barrel because the US just wants to dump it. What is it doing? Killing economies.

Very interested, PM me if you can ship to Aus.

Don't risk it dude, you will get slammed by customs here. Especially since security here has been stepped up a notch.

crazy its just a bb gun. I can throw a rock harder than this thing hits

I have absolutely no doubt that you can, I'm confident a pen ink shooter can do more damage than this could ever do, but this is Australia the leader in nanny countries. Where the country looks out for you by banning laser pointers!

228  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin price manipulation on: January 07, 2015, 01:42:35 PM
I said this in another post. Who else remembers how the chinese killed any form of gold mining in online MMO/RTS/RPG games? AOE Online, WoW, Diablo 3 to name a small few.

Go to google and search chinese mmo gold mining. They ruin everything just to take the usd. Once they have a market hold, they will ruin everything further by scamming and rorting the system.
I was hearing something about this, I don't remember where, I think it was actually on trade channel on my WoW realm, saying something about that they somehow found out that a "certain" chinese gold selling website had a 150 TH/s Bitcoin miner farm, selling BTC to USD by like a $5 undercut at whatever price is at the time they are wanting to sell it, then somehow transferring the USD to Gold in various WoW Realms....
I don't know how true that is, but I found it quite interesting that if that is true, then they are ruining things for both WoW players and BTC enthusiasts.

I wouldn't doubt this for a second. The chinese will undercut anybody for the dollar. They will kill the value of the BTC to make the dollar. They tried to tweak the wow gold but couldn't without killing it. Any WoW gold website you find which is NOT a chinese site will outsource their work to china.

If the BTC is 350, they will sell at 345 for maximum liquidity. How quick they can turn anything into USD is what matters, now how much USD.
229  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: After ASIC what comes next? on: January 06, 2015, 12:42:12 AM
Need to boot all the chinese out of the network, that will bring the hashrate back down and mining back to where it was. Those greedy pricks are ruining btc. I bet every single time a block is found by discuss fish its sold in a heart beat.

Just checked our your stats over on BFA Philip. That's a decent payout and there is no way any chinese pool will pay that. These guys are good over on BFA but with my power(too little), I can make more lucking out on other pools.
231  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [300 TH] mmpool.org - 1.5% fee split DGM/PPS - tx fees/vardiff/merge mining/tor on: January 05, 2015, 06:46:07 AM
I still cant understand why this pool is better than other. Because of luck or merged mining?

Can someone please explain (i have 3.2 Th power and i`m kind of new in sha256 mining)

it is not better all of the time.  we went from july to sept with no blocks.

but since then we had not had long blockless periods of time.

the safest  most  steady pool is https://www.f2pool.com/

the are paying .0118 a th every day so you would earn 3.2 x .0118 every day for now that is 0.03776 a day.

I shift from that to this every few days.

That's a poor payout. On average I earn more from other pools and I refuse to support these gigantic chinese pools. 0.037btc a day. That's just a fraction under $10USD a day. At 3.2thash, assuming older miners, most of that would go to pay electricity. If you want a pool with good PPS, use Bitcoin affiliate. They pay PPS plus a 10% bonus. Each day you can make 10.83 - 11USD per day at the current price of the btc. I don't know why people like to support these chinese pools, the pools which ARE KILLING cryptocurrency. Yes they sell you second hand hardware and provide 0 support for failed components and YES they dump every single BTC they mine for USD in a heart beat. BTC means absolute nothing to them. Making hardware, running it for 3 - 6 months then selling it for your hard earned USD is all they care about.
232  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why Do Cryptocurrency Exchanges Want So Much Information? on: January 04, 2015, 10:21:17 PM
You can always dump some BTC into Cryptsy and trade btc for other alts. Without a verified account, I don't think you can do anything relating to fiat there.

Another option is to buy some BTC from say localbitcoins and dump that purchase into Cryptsy and do your trading.
233  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S1 - HUGE Amount of HW Errors? on: January 04, 2015, 10:19:35 PM
An ASIC is like a video card, although you you cannot see it visually, when you overclock them and run them out of scope they can artifact which is the direct result of an error caused by the chip. Sometimes more voltage can help, sometimes better cooling can help but its usually a sign of over loading or imminent failure.
234  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When Bitcoin fails - what is Plan B? on: January 04, 2015, 10:22:33 AM
Plan B may be Utokens.
Did you hear about it?
It's a very big news in Asia now.

Big news in asia? I'll steer clear of that.
235  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [9000 TH] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + VarDiff on: January 04, 2015, 10:19:32 AM
Absolutely I have, anything above $250 and current difficulty(even a small increase) is still profitable at the rate I pay for electricity here. I came in when I saw some consistency with the value around the 330 - 340 mark.

I've mined just under half a bitcoin in 3 weeks with miners running 8 - 10hrs a day. I've also flipped some miners for some small profits. I've also leased out my miners during the XPY rush. That yielded a couple hundreds in a matter of days. I can probably make more money flipping miners and equipment but the mining part alone has been worth it.
236  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: BitExchange and LIGHTNINGASIC launched 100+ Bitcoin ATM. on: January 04, 2015, 07:42:20 AM
Bitcoin community, Stop being idiots!!

DO NOT support these Chinese businesses any longer, they are destroying Bitcoins, DEMAND the Chinese STOP dumping coins, STOP reselling used miners to us, DEMAND some kind of business ethics from these bastards. and ALWAYS demand a 75% discount to make up for how hard they screwed us on the miners they sold us. MAKE THEM PAY US NOW!!!

They dump our bitcoins every day, they sell us used mining equipment, they push everyday for a 51% attack on their bullshit mining pool, and we as a community support them by buying their products. STOP helping them destroy bitcoins. Their government has banned even this forum in the firewall of China. Give them what they gave us and what they deserve .....NOTHING!

how much that each atm?
here is the link for the atm.
http://www.lightningasic.com/Product/ProductInfo.aspx?PId=18
for operator, we have special discount.

LOWER YOUR PRICE TO 50 BUCKS. WE DESERVE IT you unethical sacks of shit!!! You sell us used mining equipment! Lower your price on these ATM machines to 50 dollars INCLUDING shipping and customs costs to make up for how you screwed us with the ASIC miners you scammed and pawned onto us. Hell for all Bitcoin has done for yuou , YOU BASTARDS should be giving them away to increase its awareness not charging 1500 bucks. WTF is wrong with you guys why are you so persistent to destroy bitcoins?Huh

I wish this forum had a reputation system, I would plus rep you, then make a smurf account and plus rep you again.

Don't support this shit. I despise ANYBODY who does not live in china and mines in ANY chinese pool. These people killed your BTC with shonky machines, 0 product support and huge volumes of mine and dumps. They don't give a crap about the BTC or the community, its just another way for them to get the USD.

I like the photo of the two way machine, one of their M$ paint engineers made that.
237  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [9000 TH] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + VarDiff on: January 04, 2015, 07:07:26 AM
Unfortunately for me @ $250 I'll be switching my miners off too Sad
238  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin price manipulation on: January 04, 2015, 06:54:00 AM
I am interested to hear what he has to say.

I believe what he means by miners wasting time(I believe he means hobby/home miners). I did my math some time ago, for the units I run, if the value of BTC drops below $250 USD then my miners will be operating at a loss.

At the end of the day, the plethora of Chinese mining farms running thousands of machines is killing mining which will harm BTC. The chinese don't use the BTC, they mine it and dump, mine and dump, mine and dump etc. They don't care what they get for the btc either since the machines cost them little to manufacture, power is cheap, labor is cheap. They don't want btc, they take any and every method to stockpile USD. Mining becomes harder for everyone else, people lose interest.

A crypotocurrency is a magnificent, revolutionary idea but is flawed.

I said this in another post. Who else remembers how the chinese killed any form of gold mining in online MMO/RTS/RPG games? AOE Online, WoW, Diablo 3 to name a small few.

239  Economy / Economics / Re: Price drop : bitcoinners happy ? on: January 04, 2015, 06:39:17 AM
As a miner, I don't like the price drop at all. I feel it will drop to $250 over night. If that is the case it will no longer be feasible for me to mine. I will have to switch off my miners and see how things flow out. I don't mind if the current BTC I have will drop to something worthless but I will not lose money running miners for nothing.

There is no reason to be happy. This will turn off a lot of miners. If we lose a big portion of the hashing power, how much power will there be before transactions take too long to process. New people will not be getting in either since the risk of being scammed is quite high and the returns are low. There are FAR too many people using online wallets, keeping their BTC online.

I clicked withdraw earlier on yesterdays block and it came within a couple minutes. I got my payout for todays block and it just arrived Cheesy  Must have been some delay in the network.
