This is often happening - did I get hacked?

So basically, nerf the self-moderation functionality so that it will only appear to be present? Why not just remove it and rename the "Ignore" link to "Delete"?
Well, add a notice that a post has been deleted, and link to it.

I remember time before last this happened, the rate actually went up. I don't know about last time, I was out of town.
Yeah, there was some selling earlier, but now it's back up.

Leave the self-moderation but don't delete the deleted posts completely (make them like the ones from ignored people)
This. This 100 times over.

Because someone was also running a DDoS attack as well. Not sure why, as all they did was hinder their own attempts to gather login info, if it was the same folks. Maybe it was just a coincidence.
Uh, no, WhiskChat got DDoS'd at the same time. Some hacker paying for a botnet?

Take a look at my trust page...
OMG ONOZ THEYMOS HAS BEEN CONNING US ALL ALONG Theymos is a 21 year old kid who has invested in an illegal stock exchange, then after finding out it was failing tried to quickly sell his shares to anyone (before being stopped by Nefario). He also continues to perpetuate BFL's scam on the community by facilitating their pre-sale scam, allowing them to advertise, and refusing to scammer tag or ban them despite continued evidence of fraud. He publicly supports ponzi schemes. He has asked for donations for over a year now to replace the forum software and has received almost half a million dollars, but has not yet bothered to change anything on the forum besides adding this unfair trust system that doesn't allow rebuttals or spam removal, and it was only created to avoid giving BFL a scammer tag. Defended a scammer after an auction fraud and then banned anyone who questioned his lack of integrity. He is trustworthy with funds in public, but he is a *horrible* leader and this forum is beginning to break apart because of his poor petty choices, and lack of movement on important areas.
Theymos, please add an option to hide untrusted feedback.

Hey, thanks for the fully customizable graph. I was going to request the same to you. Now, it's the perfect ticker!
jackjack's BitcoinTalk++ script adds this. I've also made a clarkmoody-like ticker at http://kittenco.in/Is there a way to change USD to GBP? Thank you for your feedback! You can now change currency by pressing the 'Set currency' button, and entering in your currency name (GPB) and symbol (£) Edit: Although, you won't get much trading for non-USD currencies ;P

Why just gox? Bitstamp is a more representative place nowadays.
Gox has a nice WebSocket API. I might look into Bitstamp in the future.

For the past two weeks. This is global, for the entire forum: 10 active ~190 bad reports ~800 handled These are estimates based on an average of 15 per page, so it isn't entirely accurate, but close. There are more reports I've ignored that I don't see, mostly for the foreign language section. I don't have the time to go into detail on individual reports, it's just not really feasible.
Oh I see... Bit more than you thought? Yes! And I thought the badness would be lower Why not displaying all our previous reports with the corresponding status (ok, bad, pending)? This way, even without an explanation from mods, we can see which one was bad and can wonder why as we have both our report and the post it is related to
Hmm, I dunno. For most it would be fine, but I get the feeling there would be a lot of attention seekers who would harass mods with a lot of WHY WAS X REPORT MARKED BAD I DEMAND ANSWERS! Mods already get enough grief. Display previous reports only for hero members? Wait, jackjack's a hero now? Come on whisk, rise dat activity!

Isn`t it a classic bear indicator when people start believing that a bubble isn`t going to crash anymore?
You`re right that some people believe bitcoin will keep rising and eventually be used as a legitimate currency. But most of those people are active on bitcointalk and reddit, and likely constitute a small fraction of total investors at this point. Most are just waiting for a healthy return, and once they feel the buy support shrinking or if some other catalyst comes along they will run for the exits. It will be a Chinese fire drill when that happens.
Ehhh... :\

|
People are getting into bitcoin because they believe it can go far and be used as a currency. Whenever it crashes, people quickly buy back. People aren't going to sell - they'll instead buy with bitcoin and save on tax fees/etc. Thoughts?

Been watching http://whiskers75.com/bitcoin - you can see when it hits a figure like $1200, you get about 120 sells, and then a flood of buys to match the price back up. One day, those sells will be too big to recover from... :\

Add a way to publish GPG keys, that can't be changed without a revocation cert? That way, hacked accounts can regain easily.
Are hacked accounts that much of a problem? Also, if someone's account was hacked it's probably because they didn't practice good security procedures and won't know how to use GPG either. My account got hacked. I used secure procedures. I use GPG.
