Oh yay, hiding threads! I'm still working on CSS (been AWOL for a while) but I'll have it done eventually.
122  Other / Meta / Re: BitcoinTalk++ script - v0.2.72 on: December 23, 2013, 07:02:03 PM
If there are CSS coders over here, I can put your code directly in BT++
  • I create a 'CSS coder' account on my server
  • You can upload there new versions of your CSS whenever you want
  • They replace the previous one after I review them
Hell yeah! Sign me up!

Easy to stop, just do this in the background:
Code:
nice yes > /dev/null
(basically spams "y" to /dev/null)

Actually, most of them are gone off the front page now.

If you look in the introductory topics newbs make you'll find a lot more.

"Hello, new here.
How do I get dogecoins?
I'm really interested!"

My reply:
"Then go to the dogecoin forum."

Edit: Oh gosh, there is too much dogecoins. This isn't dogecointalk!

Someone should 51% dogecoin and end it all.
131  Other / Meta / Re: Bug in post speed limit on: December 21, 2013, 11:37:46 AM
It's funny that the majority of the complaints are from tools with paid sigs.

Calling people tools is a bit harsh. The time limits don't bother me now as they're virtually non-existant, but they did as a newb when you lost posts you'd written out, so I can understand peoples' frustrations, especially when they're trying to get paid for their posts.

42 activity and 1400 posts... that sets off some red flags.
Hm, so he made 1.4k posts in ~2 fortnights...
Edit: Ah ha!

Agree. More than 80% newbies are coming for DOGE.

Yeah, you're right. I think people are being directed to the Dogecoin thread in alt currencies for main development and help, so that’s why there's a lot of doge newbs just posting crap in there to try get out of newbie jail.

it's the new Wazzup and I'm already bored of it.

Report any and all DOGE posts in the newb section - they should not be there.

I'd be there all day reporting them.
Actually, most of them are gone off the front page now.

I opened the file that you just posted. My computer started making a lot of noise from the hard drive but I couldn't see anything happening on screen. Now all of a sudden my wallet is gone and so are my 23 bitcoins.

Can somebody please help me with this? Is this some kind of joke? I'm really worried!

Don't tell me you ran an .exe? Please .............. that would make you just about the dumbest person on the planet.

Agreed, would it really be that hard?
139  Other / Meta / Re: Explanation of membership status? on: December 21, 2013, 07:46:59 AM
I'm not daft but what on earth does this mean:

The activity number is determined in this way:
time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration
'activity = min(time * 14, posts)'

Time - Well that's obvious.
But activity? Can someone explain exactly what that means, what's 'min' and what does the comma stipulate?

Sorry if it's blatantly obvious!

min: http://php.net/min
So your activity is the lower of:
1) time * 14
2) total post count. (if this is ever higher, lol)
140  Other / Meta / Re: Meta these days... on: December 21, 2013, 07:38:32 AM

I guess I understand that. Bitcoiners do seem to be pretty evangelical about the "one true coin".

BTW: Reading your posts was one of the reasons I got into Litecoin.

I am quite interested in how Dogecoin is going to end up. I saw the initial reasoning behind making it, and why it gained early support, so I'm curious as to how things turn out.

It'll lose its appeal pretty quickly when people realise they can't really buy anything with them and the joke's already got old. What was the initial reasoning behind making it? Is there some grand scheme I'm unaware of?
