I see Japanese names. Maybe you need to install the appropriate character set?
225  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: stuck at making bitcoin core 0.10.0 on raspberry 1 B+ on: March 12, 2015, 04:19:12 AM
Yes, it runs out of memory. Last one I successfully built was 0.8.6, IIRC.

I recently got btcd compiled on a B though.
226  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] KRAKEN.COM - Exchange Now Open with USD, EUR, BTC, LTC, XRP, NMC, XDG on: March 11, 2015, 03:02:36 AM

It's been "soon" since post 1 in this thread...

Services that appeared in Beta that are not available at launch:
GBP pairs
Margin trading

If all goes according to plan (as usual), we’ll reintroduce these services within 1 month.

I don't see how that article explains your claim of:

It seems my node isn't really needed since I'm in a city with a large density of already-existent nodes.

The client wouldn't, but the network would.

Care to explain how?

230  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Recovered wallet.dat files on: March 08, 2015, 12:54:26 PM

It used to be possible to import Bitcoin wallet.dats at blockchain.info. The rest - don't know.

232  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] chainsnort (live transaction monitoring and fingerprinting tool) on: March 08, 2015, 11:12:53 AM
Sorry, that websocket link is broken. curl -o didn't work either anymore for me. Try:
Code:
git clone https://github.com/liris/websocket-client.git

cd websocket-client

python setup.py install

wget https://gist.github.com/flatfly/8253870/raw/9733e34e469e1bcd8d0ae13565ade4eaa0490618/gistfile1.py

python gistfile1.py

233  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] chainsnort (live transaction monitoring and fingerprinting tool) on: March 08, 2015, 10:50:10 AM
it said: bash: 1/: No such file or directory

Code:
curl -o websocket.py https://raw.github.com/liris/websocket-client/master/websocket.py

curl -o chainsnort.py https://gist.github.com/flatfly/8253870/raw/9733e34e469e1bcd8d0ae13565ade4eaa0490618/gistfile1.py

234  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Methods of getting free electricity on: March 08, 2015, 09:53:47 AM
Has anyone looked seriously into their own hydro electric appliance like this

http://www.zotloeterer.com/welcome/gravitation-water-vortex-power-plants/

Costs 60,000 Euro and you get 8,3kW

Problems are getting a location and some places the "water rights". If I could, I would.

Bumping old threads with no additional useful information is certainly _not_ the way to do it. Go post in Offtopic or something.

What bumping? This thread was started today!

Not talking about this one obviously. Check his post history. Mods might have fixed some in the meanwhile. OP knows exactly what I meant.
236  Local / Other languages/locations / Re: Singapore on: March 08, 2015, 09:06:45 AM
A question, is mining Bitcoin in Singapore profitable? Singapore electricity cost is very expensive.. what about mining altcoin and than sell it for Bitcoin?

No. You answered your own question. Electricity is too expensive. Same goes for altcoin mining.

It seems my node isn't really needed since I'm in a city with a large density of already-existent nodes.

How would the client know that?

Have you tried adding nodes with the addnode command? Did you change anything in your conf file?

Could anyone tell me the best system for using Bitcoin or any other currency for a retail operation?

Do you want to keep them or have them insta-converted to GBP?
