221  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: ASICs - the race against time & the race get the most Gh/s from a W on: October 01, 2012, 07:12:37 PM
It's barely even speculation.

I sure as hell don't half of you guys. And the surprise!
224  Other / Off-topic / Re: bfl refund on: October 01, 2012, 12:02:55 AM
I was offered a refund, but sold my ASIC locally and was able to reverse the refund thanks to Inaba.
This was probably out of the norm given the refund, then reversal.
225  Other / Off-topic / Re: butterflylabs.com - any comment about your ASIC progress? on: September 30, 2012, 11:47:17 AM
source?

It's on the Bfl portal, but he really needs to learn to quote and reference sources.

lol looks like the bASIC is worrying BFL?

More likely they're getting later into the development process, and they're getting more realistic numbers.

They were conservative (same way bASIC was). Competition arrived, now they are less conservative.

I love you.
228  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [1200 GH/s] BitMinter.com [Zero Fee, Hopper Safe,Merged Mining,Tx Fees Paid Out] on: September 27, 2012, 12:11:10 PM
The server is running very smoothly now. We had 1.8 TH/s earlier today and the server load was pretty low. Sorry for the daily restarts and sometimes high response times the last couple days. Hopefully it will be smooth sailing now. It is certainly looking pretty solid.

Suggestion: Add a clock to the website. Local server time.

Not a bad idea. Is it annoying to have one ticking away at the top of the page?

I suppose better might be to display the timestamps in a timezone chosen by the user, but that would take a bit more work.

Just a digital one with minutes, no seconds. Same colour as your twitter/facebook/etc text.  Smiley

No timezone, people are on a computer, they know what time it is.

Mistakes like that never get passed me.

Sort of... instead of a blueberry, it's quite possible we will turn you into one of our henchman:

If somehow I get to go I will dress up like that just for you.

I heard you give a mean hummer too.
235  Other / Off-topic / Re: butterflylabs.com - any comment about your ASIC progress? on: September 26, 2012, 06:32:38 PM
Thats the point, lining us all up for the long con.

Clearly this guy knows what he's talking about...

Takes a scammer to know a scammer?

Maybe, more that his word means nothing.
236  Other / Off-topic / Re: "Frist Look at BFL's ASIC Hardware" on: September 26, 2012, 11:07:46 AM
Mark my words. This is a scam.

I don't believe anybody that says anything here. You are all crazy.

Eastern Europe, in my case. But I believe there are other places, where similar creatures may live. They need solitude though. Areas with heavy industry, big cities, highways, etc. are out of question. My grand parents lived in a cottage far from any big city. They used to collect wood, mushrooms, forest fruits etc in nearby forest. Sometimes, I used to go with them and that's when I saw those creatures. Of course, it didn't happen everytime I went to the forest, but once in a blue moon.

Sounds more expensive to do than buy a new pcb.
238  Other / Off-topic / Re: BFL Requests Input on: September 26, 2012, 05:37:31 AM

239  Other / Off-topic / Re: BFL Requests Input on: September 26, 2012, 02:55:08 AM
How's that fake security clearance of yours coming along?  Did they come to take you away because of pirate?  Meh... like I said, either you're lying about your clearance or you have absolutely no clue what so ever how a security clearance works.

Do you think you would pass one now with your bitcoin association? They aren't exactly fans (publicly anyway).
240  Other / Off-topic / Re: BFL Requests Input on: September 26, 2012, 01:20:06 AM
I'm probably not the best choice for actually reviewing hardware but I want to go just to get a picture with Sonny and Josh to prove to the crazies that I'm not a sockpuppet Grin

But how would this prove anything to the "crazies"?

I don't care either way, I just think you wrote a terrible interview (used term loosely! Tongue) - then deleted the comments because they were scathing of you and not BFL.
Reddit was along the same lines of comments, not anti BFL at all. More telling you that you wrote an opinion piece.

"Spill over from fighting" Huh It's just criticism of your writing.

But then again, maybe you would be the best person;

I've seen enough schematics and details that I could probably build my own ASIC line from their specs if I had the VC
