There is allwais some remote station with decent price. Exept on rockets. Thats my point.

You might be right, I'll ask the devs what's the deal here.
222  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] SatoshiGalaxy - Browser MMORPG + BTC Faucet on: February 17, 2017, 10:38:35 AM
So Qlosseum useless as target? I can't get any loot from him? :(
Yesterday after few hits on Qlosseum I return in green sector and was attacked by GPD Cruiser, is it normal? :)

Yes and yes :) It is mischievous, but not evil.

No more aiming points when destroying rockets? :(

Don't think that ever worked...

Hi Galaxy Meisters, Wanted to give some input about the Beta format you are having us look at.  It is very cool.  But I have not figures out how to sell anything that is made on my ship.
That needs to be looked at please.  Thanks.  Love the voyage...

Hello, 7fantastic11!

Thanks for your feedback. I believe you can sell your wares by dragging them from cargo to the merchant window (or alien portrait).

@shivasimha, @Fuertisimo, yup, pretty much. I think every item is profitable in some way or another, but you should use your best judgment at all times.
223  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] Coinzilla.io - Bitcoin Ad Network - Banner and Popunder Advertising on: February 17, 2017, 10:34:26 AM
Micro-review:

Excellent ad network, fantastic dashboard with nice realtime stats, very fast servers (never had any troubles on our pages) and it pays!

Highly recommended.

Dear Coinzilla,

do you think you might implement partial withdrawals? The idea here, is that, say, I want to withdraw 50% to epay and 50% to faucethub. There's no such option, it's all or nothing right now.
224  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] SatoshiGalaxy - Browser MMORPG + BTC Faucet on: February 16, 2017, 09:08:43 AM
@ przemax - What you mean PvP? One on one in red sector without dock/land/jump? Who died first - lose? If so, i'd like get some expirience :)

Toecutter knows what Im talking about. An event of pvp freeforall gladiator arena with bounties set upon those who survive. In a no pirates and no cruiser sector.

Yup, it's a good idea to test PvP given all the equipment changes we had. The event you talk about is now called Qlosseum, BTW, and I'll be spamming it today and tomorrow.

@shivasimha, thanks, although there definitely are more bugs to cover.

@onlinedigger, thanks for the reports.

You are correct in assuming events happen instantaneously; the animations are there just to give everything more flair. We'll likely add an ability to turn them all off.

The reason shortages are somewhat long-term is we want to give players ample time to adapt. But I hear you.

I'm not sure I understand, adapt to what?

To shortages themselves :) Like, you might want to visit all your planets, change quarry/refinery orders, maybe wield your mining gear and start stacking some ore/materials/components, etc. Would be pretty inconvenient if the shortage then got away from under you, while you're doing all that.

hey toecutter- you getting pm's ? :)

Oops, sorry about that! I know exactly what you mean, I'll reply ASAP.
225  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] SatoshiGalaxy - Browser MMORPG + BTC Faucet on: February 15, 2017, 05:28:29 AM
I'd just like to reiterate my distaste for having shortages be so long. When you have something like orichalcum/plexi short, it brings things to a grinding halt for players who are far enough along to be building things. Additionally, at this point in the game people aren't producing enough to make trading for it a feasible option.

Perhaps much shorter but more frequent shortages would be better design?

The reason shortages are somewhat long-term is we want to give players ample time to adapt. But I hear you.

So if you designate 100% on farming but you got like 500 colonists you still get +11? That makes any sence to you?

Hey, that doesn't make much sense in terms of real life, but that's the gameplay mechanic we have in place. Maybe it takes more food to maintain current population, so the growth is flat-lining?

[SG2] New network loop.

(- nice job! Changes can be tasted.)

- now rarely when you go out of station. Station dose not pop up back like before, but its just there and you wonder.. did you click undock or not? Kinda lasted to long so I did refresht every time. Refreshing fixing it.

- also rarely when you crafting and moving cargo to another ship, that cargo seems to be in transition for a long time. Confirmed by my squad m8s aswell. Refreshing dont fix it.

Thanks for the report.

I noticed as of yesterday that there is something wrong with shifting cargo/equipment. For instance, when I claim items I purchased in the market, the item stays where it is; but requires a page refresh to see it moved to my cargo. Or if I unmount a piece of equipment, the little lines next to the button show up momentarily, but the item stays where it is until I refresh the page.

Thanks for the report.

Also, is there something that can be done about the overpriced items in the marketplace, some of which may have been there for years? My suggestion would be to mark an item down (put it on sale) if it's been up there for too long. Like every 10 days it gets reduced 15%. Eventually it might be worth buying and we wouldn't have five pages of goods that just stay there forever.

Yeah, those are super-annoying, I've been promised special moderator powers to send them back to their owners, but nothing came out of that yet :( Your idea is pretty cool, BTW, I've added it to the list.

Update.

  • [SG2] Try to improve item refresh situation. (@shivasimha)
  • [SG2] Improve marketplace/storage refresh situation. (@shivasimha)
  • [SG2] Add buzz (coffee effect) indicator.
  • [BUG] AJAX'ified cargo operations don't work with new SG2 loop. (@jbiting)
  • [BUG] BIO items do not show up at planet factories for manual crafting. (@?)
226  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] SatoshiGalaxy - Browser MMORPG + BTC Faucet on: February 14, 2017, 04:42:35 AM
I would like to make it clear to you that I hate PVP.

It's a fine preference, but be advised: SG has a very a large PvP portion.

Green and orange sectors are mostly safe, though.

@shivasimha: I would imagine it's the jump animation (with stars blurring and all that) that makes laptops/tablets suffer, not the actual messages. Nevertheless, I've added [an ability to disable] both to the list.

@zaiusz, love that movie :)

Update!

  • [SG2] New network loop.

This should minimize the amount of out-of-order/desync problems in SG2. Please report anything out of place.
227  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] SatoshiGalaxy - Browser MMORPG + BTC Faucet on: February 13, 2017, 06:51:20 AM
I would like to make an improvement on the reaktors. I consider the concept of the "Energy Bar" superfluous. My idea is to remove this energy display completely from the game and replace it with a "traffic light". At the basic version of the engine I will explain my idea. The new reactor is built like a traffic light. Green means 100% Yellow means 75% Red means 50% or less. Each of these stages has a significant impact on the cool down time of the finished items in my example engine. If the reactor is repaired and is in the green range, the cooling down time of the engine is 5 minutes. If he is in the yellow area and the player does not repair the reactor then the cooling down time of the engine increases to 8 minutes. If the reactor is in the red range, the cooling down time increases to 10 minutes. So an incentive is created to repair the reactor over and over again in order to get the advantage of the low cool down time and when the cool down time has expired the player can be sure that if he uses his equipment then this also works and he does not annoy Message is not enough energy is present although it should be possible according to the displayed energy bar. http://prntscr.com/e7qn70 - http://prntscr.com/e7vypc This concept of the traffic light could also be transferred to the equipment. The advantage would be that the player makes sure that his equipment is always in the green area and he repaired his equipment again and again to get the advantage of the low cool down time. Also, the equipment has an impact on the cool down time. The concept of the equipment "broken" and will become useless I would remove from the game since the player will be constantly striving to repair his equipment. Furthermore, one could create an incentive to a buyer of the premium account. His equipment would only fall into the yellow area. So he would not have the advantage of not always having to repair his equipment if these like in the case of players without PA falling into the red area. Balancing is of crucial importance here and requires some test paces.

The purpose of cooldown is to limit single piece of equipment. The purpose of energy is to limit your overall use. It's a balancing thing.

As for durability, the purpose is not to drain your money, but to give crafters opportunity to sell stuff. Think about it this way: you have bought some equipment/ship blueprint. To return your investment, you have to sell the items you crafted. Assuming new players constantly join the game and are in need of your services, that's easy. But what if no new players join the game at all? You would still be able to sell stuff to old players, once their items go out of service.

On the subject of repair I would like to make another suggestion. You should give the player 2 possibilities. 1. Possibility it can be repaired in a station for (for example) 1000 Satoshis 1% of its selected equipment at 100% chance. 2. Possibility he tries to repair it himself. This "trial" costs 100 Satoshis for 1% with the chance that it does not work and he has to rescue 100 Satoshis again to repair the equipment with the advantage that if he tries it himself and no matter the attempt is successful or not Each time you receive skill points on "Repair". The higher the level of repair is, the higher the chance that the "own repair" is successful.

It already works somewhat similar. Although it's not "Reparing" skill that's being used, but "Engineering". But endless successful repairs would upset the balance.

http://prntscr.com/e7rmph The level of biodome is very bad to read. In a future version of the game, you could make the level display clearly visible by changing the graphics. I will try to edit in gimp and explain what I mean. http://prntscr.com/e7tk9h = Level 1 http://prntscr.com/e7tl24 = Level 2

That's an excellent idea!

To the planets, I would like to make a request to you. It is very difficult to colonize your own planet. I would be very angry if another player with a higher level and better equipment could simply steal my planet. My please, this is the first planet that a player has populated can not lend again. Even if another player attacks this planet, he can not steal this planet. It can only partially destroy buildings. The biodome, defense grid and the waerhouse are excluded from the destruction. All other buildings can be destroyed up to level 1. Also, this planet can not be attacked by an alien virus. This rule is not valid for every additional planet that a player conquered. These can be conquered by other players. It would make me very angry if someone gave me my planet in which I have put so much time and money just can take away.

Also, you could offer a premium account owner the possibility if he has more than one planet to choose which of these planets he would like to classify as "indestructible". So he is not attacked every time when one of his other planets is quickly classed as "indestructible" he must wait 30 days until he can give a planet that status again. Automatically, the previous "indestructible" planet will be converted back to "destructible".

Nah. For someone to win, someone has to lose. Instead of being afraid of losing your planets, you should concentrate on taking other people planets! Although having a peaceful approach to the game is certainly possible, we always wanted this to be a war game, with constant planet turnaround.

http://prntscr.com/e7wvzf Do you need CPU points to switch between spaceships? If so then I will be when I have CPU points none deducted when I change the space ship.

Don't worry, it's fine. There's a large number of actions that DO NOT take CPU points, but you have to have at least 1 at all times to try them.

Hello please tell us about the bar
took a job with the colonists and that it does not know delot ???

Not sure which quest that is? But in general, you just pick one option, get some positive/negative result and that's it, the quest is done. You might later encounter another quest, which will be based on your initial choice (aka "quest chain").

Yes. Used rocket launchers 1/1 and rockets/torpedos

Gotcha, thanks.
228  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] SatoshiGalaxy - Browser MMORPG + BTC Faucet on: February 12, 2017, 06:51:18 AM
Ive noticed that the game runs extremely smooth and fast in the morning hours in Europe, when there are 40 people or so. During the evening the game seriously slowing down making it a lot less enjoyable, but its still playable. I think most of the players would enjoy more the game less laggy than being more sophisticated. So maybe look up what is eating the most of computing power and consider to drop it. That would be a lot better than investing in the hardware. We would like the game to be payable the longest time possible.

Yeah, the feature-set grew drastically over the year, and you are correct in assuming cutting some of it down would help with the server load. However, intentionally crippling the game is a pretty horrible thing to do, even in the name of performance :(

Kinda wrote ourselves into a corner here. There's one thing that might help, though, I'll keep you updated.

Em... quick action i guess.

You were just buying stuff off NPCs, correct?

Am intrested how ppl manige in red zone now.

My apinion is that this longer cooldown after geting shoot is realy bad. Its waaaay harder for me now to go sell some puny goods in red zone. I got 3 engines on my privater and shield. Still got nailed down by pirates. >:( Till that 40+ seconds cooldown pass, someone else shoot again at you again, and if your lucky its not a missile. Only way then is to wait for drive to jump back or forth. I see realy small ods for newb ship to fully explore red zones now. Expecialy with that Incorect station bug on the way.
But thats just my exp. after update on cooldown and missiles.

I'm very interested too, please post your experiences.

One thing is certain, there's no mystery about it, with lower cooldown time on weapons, pirates get to benefit from it as much as players. So yeah, they do shoot faster now.
229  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] SatoshiGalaxy - Browser MMORPG + BTC Faucet on: February 11, 2017, 05:53:41 AM
Any other changes to reactors except their regeneration?

You mean like durability? Nope, they were just made a bit faster, to accommodate the weapons, and this should also help with mining/smelting cycle.

All those numbers are not final, but we had to let go of the "nice a round" numbers on everything to allows us finer balancing range. Now, that our minds are free of that idea, it's going to be easier to fine-tune stuff.

No :( First goes basic rocket then ion torpedoes, order does not matter.

Meh, I'll bump the ticket with the issue then. Thanks for the report.

Hehe :) 1:0 Planet wins, but there are was two of them... my fault

Watched the video, thanks for spending your time (and satoshi) doing all that! Things don't look too bad/unbalanced to me, you still need energy to keep the barrage of rockets going, although I'd guess 2 nuclear reactors on each ship would've granted you that. I guess the shield/def.grid recharge rate could be upped a bit, I'm forwarding the concern to the team so they decide.

anyway, i found secret place in cargo! http://prntscr.com/e77h1n  ;D how this happened is on video.

I missed the part of how it happened. I mean, I see what you've done, but I'm still a bit unclear. Could you please elaborate / give exact reproduction steps for this bug?

I am very happy with the new balancing of the weapons. The battles with pirates are finally fun and you do not sit bored in front of the PC and wait for the weapons to be ready again. Also very good I think that the pirates through the adapted weapons do not cause so much damage. This is a good update and improves the playing.  :D

Glad you like it. The downside of this new arrangement is that it's much harder to one-shot NPCs (or other players), which was fun when all of your shots connected. We're aware of that and will do something about it.
230  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] SatoshiGalaxy - Browser MMORPG + BTC Faucet on: February 10, 2017, 11:46:15 AM
SG2. Illusion. Mining with Energy Spitter MK III  Smiley http://prntscr.com/e6sl72 but does not nothing on click or hot-key. Should be grayed like neighbor BUF100 Shield Generator.

Thank you! Fixed.
I can not mine any more ores with my MLK II Mininglasern. When I select an asteroid, the buttons remain gray and will not white and when I click on it, nothing happens. I repaired it so it can not be.

http://prntscr.com/e6wyct
http://prntscr.com/e6wz98

Then I bought a used laser for 1660 satoshis and the is also not. Please turn on the lasers.
http://prntscr.com/e6x0se

Oops, sorry about that. Should be better now.
231  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] SatoshiGalaxy - Browser MMORPG + BTC Faucet on: February 10, 2017, 04:41:54 AM
When crafting your In laser to Inz laser, should the durability go down from 1000 to 800?

Not sure, I'll ask. When you use scratched equipment (i.e. something with less than perfect durability), the resulting item gets less maximum durability. I'd assume that's what happened to your lasers.

Also ran into an issue with jettison. A confirmation appears with Yes/No. It says (to the effect) "you're about to jettison some expensive equipment. Are you sure you want to continue?" If you say no, your equipment gets jettisoned anyway. Clicking yes does nothing.

Thank you! Fixed.

Toecutter, give some hint how choose rocket type if I have Ion torpedo and Basic rocket on board?

There was supposed to be a button to do this, but it never came around. I think the other way to do it is to reorder your cargo, first rocket type goes first.

SG2. Illusion. Mining with Energy Spitter MK III  Smiley http://prntscr.com/e6sl72 but does not nothing on click or hot-key. Should be grayed like neighbor BUF100 Shield Generator.

Thank you! Fixed.
232  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] SatoshiGalaxy - Browser MMORPG + BTC Faucet on: February 10, 2017, 12:41:10 AM
I'd like buy planet for 100000 :D

You make a good point. But let's see if the planets indeed are as easy to conquer as you say.

Ughhh the lag, THE LAG!!!  Catastrophic  :'(

:(

Update.

  • [ENC] Newbie equipment can no longer be placed on the market unless Trading skill is high enough.* (@?)

We have a nasty player abusing this, and if this patch is not enough, expect newbie equipment to go completely off limits.
233  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] SatoshiGalaxy - Browser MMORPG + BTC Faucet on: February 09, 2017, 11:29:42 PM
I took already :) Can not understand why my hull integrity drops down from 150 to 5 without any message in log. Then I understood that it was my planet shot on me, I miss clicked pirate :)

Hehe ;)

When I find 8 cheap Rocket Launchers MK II, I'll make you video how fast planet could be conquered with only 2 ships and ~50,000 satoshi :)
Or you can decrease rocket's damage for fair

Go on, your videos are always fun to watch!

Even if that's true, though, 50 000 satoshi is a hefty price to pay. I'm willing to bet people would still go with energy beams instead of rocket launchers for that reason alone. However, like I said, we're open to further tweaks.

"It" being chrome. It lists satoshigalaxy.com as not secure for me now. I should add that since those ads have been cropping up that take forever to get through the amount of cookies from the site has jumped into the dozens.

Gotcha, thank you!
234  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] SatoshiGalaxy - Browser MMORPG + BTC Faucet on: February 09, 2017, 11:05:46 PM
When they rising with 100% soldiers and 10k population the values are: 200 defense grid and 400 shields every 10 minutes. Two rocket launchers make 900 damage to shields in 9 minutes... one privateer can mount 4 of them. Two privateers can conquer planet in 15-20 minutes?

Don't planets shoot down rockets too? OK, that's really really embarrassing. Thanks for bringing it to our attention!

Update.

  • [ENC] Defense grids shoot down incoming rockets.

To give your rockets a better fighting chance, stop hiding on stations/planets, and take some of that def.grid damage!
235  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] SatoshiGalaxy - Browser MMORPG + BTC Faucet on: February 09, 2017, 10:06:54 PM
Hm... during speedzoom tried Rocket Launchers with 5 minutes cooldown, but rockets flying on their own ~7 minutes. Now with Rocket Launcher MK II with cooldown 3 minutes it is possivle launch crazy amount of rockets Smiley

Correct. Rockets were horrible for PvP/PvE before, as 10 min cooldown + 6/7 minute delay is just TOO much of a wait time. Now you can, indeed, launch more rockets at once, but since spitters/beam cooldown faster too, you can shoot them down about just as easily.

Planet Defense grid and Shields restoration will be improved or not?

Again, to be evaluated. We're not TOO worried about those, because you can just build MORE shield generators and/ore def.grids if you're not happy with the values.
236  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] SatoshiGalaxy - Browser MMORPG + BTC Faucet on: February 09, 2017, 09:54:48 PM
Is it permanent?

YES!

What about MLK-Iz Mining Laser? It has usual coodown Cool How about Repair Ray and Shield Generator, why they not  tweaked too?

Probably will be tweaked too, but not much. The general idea was "no weapon should have 10 min cooldown, that's just too boring", not "speed up EVERYTHING 2x times, like speedzoom".
237  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] SatoshiGalaxy - Browser MMORPG + BTC Faucet on: February 09, 2017, 07:58:59 PM
There is something more. ctrl+f5 doesn't help, and it is so not only on my pc, similar is on phone too.

That is very very strange. I'm 99% sure it's something on your end, though... (Although your pc/mobile situation leads to a different conclusion). Could you maybe try another browser? Or could it be some caching proxy in-between you and the Internet at large?

And now my CPU points are down to 7( Before was at 10) :(

You're still involved in account mixing :(

SG2. missed icons for Energy Distributor and Shielded Energy Distributor blueprints.

Thank you!

Just thought I'd mention, it's listing satoshi galaxy as a site that's not secure.

"it" ?

Update!

  • [ENC] Speed-up combat.
  • [ENC] Make hull burn last longer.
  • [ENC] Make NPCs less agressive.

This is similar to speedzoom in many ways, but more refined. Since it skews the balance quite a bit, expect this to be tuned a bit more. NPCs are now more lenient when picking new targets to shoot at.
238  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] SatoshiGalaxy - Browser MMORPG + BTC Faucet on: February 09, 2017, 06:02:22 PM
SG2. No icon for Basic Reactor-N here http://prntscr.com/e6k9vr do not know how it name.

We're calling it an "action bar". And fixed, thank you!

Then I apologize to you for the reproaches I have made to you. Excuse me.

Hey no worries, I'm used to much worse :P

SG2. No icon for Armor Plating in cargo http://prntscr.com/e66v8a big http://prntscr.com/e66vna and small
SG2. No icons for ships blueprint in wharf http://prntscr.com/e681r1

Thank you, filed.

I don`t know about ads but gameplay today looks so:
http://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cbnjDn6fYx
And not only in jumps. Planets, stations, market...
Today I get ads in pop-up window too(1 time 4-5 windows).
Weird day here :)
And my CPU is down to..

I think you just have some broken file in cache or something. I believe cache refresh (ctrl+f5) would straight you up.

In my case the cause of the lags are urls like this: http://ubercpm.com/show.php?z=27&pl=70004&j=1

Those finally get to download one url like: http://ubercpm.com/show_i.php?b=5810473

This second one is the one lagging the load of the page.

I checked several times and it was taking 30 seconds to load.

Ahha! Thank you very much, looks like we will not be doing business with this ubercpm thingy then ...
240  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] SatoshiGalaxy - Browser MMORPG + BTC Faucet on: February 08, 2017, 04:47:49 PM
I'd like to point out that right now there is an ad for extreme sports that pops up very frequently, and it essentially prohibits you from doing anything for 15-30s due to its length. This is hugely problematic when you're hopping systems as you're more or less a sitting duck waiting to be able to act. Not sure if it's something that can be fixed, but wrecking because you're sitting around not being able to do act because of an ad is extremely aggravating.
Yes, This ad is extremely compromising. every time it pops up it wants to open adobe flash, plus it seems to always need to connect to outside sources and download information.(My firefox is set to tell me what its doing in case of lag) Can you please block video ads or opt out of this one.

Thanks for the report. Could you guys help us identify where this ad is coming from? Also, "popup" sounds really bad, whichever kind of popup that is. (As you might know, ads adapt to people and we haven't seen anything like that.)

Did you increase the difficulty level?

Nope, no changes in that area for over a year.

Fixing everyone's CPU.
