Meanwhile, it seems all that NYPD training in Israel is paying off.

According to a New York police officer, it is policy to harass citizens and needlessly arrest them or they will be penalized themselves.

OP, all they store is your public keys/private keys in a encrypted JSON with a linked identifier. That's it. There's no way they can alter it unless they are storing your passwords which would ruin them.
224  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Women and free market on: October 09, 2012, 06:27:24 PM
The OP's premise is inherently misogynistic. It's really hilarious.

Women are apparently so weak, they need men to help them to become more equal in society.

Some questions are best left answered after death.

I would like to suggest that management just move to finally ban him again. He's clearly back to his old ways.

Even with him ignored, you can see his inanity in quoted replies from other, equally frustrated forum denizens.
How do my posts make you feel? Do you feel threatened when I post?

Your posts make me feel dumber inside. My inteligence feels threatened whenever I see your name.
Your intelligence must be very weak then. I offer my condolences.
227  Other / Politics & Society / Lady Gaga Visits "Enemy of the State" Julian Assange on: October 09, 2012, 03:27:57 PM
http://rt.com/news/gaga-assange-visit-embassy-985/

US pop sensation Lady Gaga recently visited with WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, who is currently living in the UK’s Ecuadorian embassy in a bid to escape extradition. The two shared a private dinner together, according to reports.

The singer, dressed in all black, arrived at the embassy around 7:00pm London time and spent nearly five hours with Assange. The two shared a dinner and were photographed together. An image of the two was posted on Lady Gaga’s ‘Little Monsters’ fan website.
Lady Gaga is in London to promote hear new perfume, ‘Fame.’ The visit with Assange may have been a spontaneous response to a tweet from rapper M.I.A., who suggested that Gaga should visit Assange in his sanctuary not far from where Harrods, where Gaga’s promo event took place. “I’ll bring tea and cake,” she wrote.

Julian Assange, who is seeking political asylum in Ecuador, has been living in the country’s London embassy since June 2012, when a UK court ordered his extradition to Sweden, where he is wanted for questioning on sex crimes allegations.
The 41-year-old and his supporters allege that the case against Assange is politically motivated, and that Sweden would extradite him to the United States. Washington has unofficially declared Assange to be an enemy of the state, akin to the Taliban and al-Qaeda. If tried in a US court, he could face the death penalty for compromising US national security.

In an earlier interview, Assange complained of boredom and a lack of fresh air in the embassy’s small backroom. He has spent over 100 days in the red brick house, which has no sleeping accommodations and only a small kitchenette.

Metal is usually the way to go for any product that goes through constant wear and tear. Plastic wears over-time. Beyond that, I know little.

No, I don't believe this religious crud. I have only considered it. I am not a mystic nor a man of faith.

Now to make this thread worthwhile, here's some true insanity:

I'll leave you one, too. Is the power of a government exactly equal to the military force it controls?
There is a level of social influence that a government possesses but the ends of that is just willing citizenry enforcing its rule.

The power of government is exactly its ability to enforce its territory and laws.

I'll just make an open-ended question: Is society only defined by how much can be consumed in a day?

They still haven't sent out any sorts of rovers or exploratory satellites, which are my specific areas of interest, along with colonies. I'd be perfectly happy to work at a private company if they offered better pay and a comparative goals, as well as a doctorate program. I just like NASA better, because it isn't focused on a profit. Private space companies have to offer a revenue generating service as their primary concern. If there are companies that are research oriented, please give me a link and I'll look into them. I'm always open to new companies I can apply for an internship at.

Imagine how they might be doing if the economy hadn't been hideously burdened by an overgrown parasite which, besides spending a trivially small proportion of its income on mars rovers and whatnot, pissed most of it away on pointless crap. Don't miss the wood for the trees.

Also, Wow Atlas, way to stereotype out the ass there.

Yes, the poor will almost always act as model citizens and not use welfare as insurance against being indefinitely idle.

There are plenty that do, but I know a lot of people below the poverty line, my highschool had a large number of children from these family. Most of them absolutely despised having to take welfare or any support whatsoever. I think more of them would agree with your statements on taxation than any other demographic. Being poor doesn't mean they're lazy.
I have never directly criticized the poor. It seems that way but I am merely mocking the idea that nobody should have to prepare themselves for a rainy day.

If the poor have no security net they will save as much as possible of their income for a rainy day.

Yes, the poor should feel free to waste their money on alcohol, lottery tickets, drugs and other consumable crud because everyone else will pick up the tab later.

We all have an infinite amount of wealth and labor to lift up somebody who consumes and consumes while producing nothing,

Not to state the obvious, but mtgox appears to be as manipulated a market as the NYSE is. I suspect a few people with a majority of the cash on the exchange are playing with it like their private toy.

I'd like to see other price discovery tools being used by the community but I hold out little hope of that happening.
Shush. We don't need the underclasses revolting.
