Lets just face it, not everyone is always going to be happy and its easier to be negative in a forum than give kudos to those who are working hard to bust ass and get stuff done.
222  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: December 11, 2013, 01:24:30 AM
...
I really don't get it!
Because some asic manufacturers screw things up, we should be happy we are not  <insert bad word> entirely?
If 20 peoples gOt killed on the streets yesterday  am I supposed to be happy that I only got mugged?

Hey , look , that guy lost 10k$ , you should be happy you lost 1k$?!?!?
Let's throw a party ,we have no reason at all to celebrate but some people are worse than us so we should feel great! PARTYYYYYY!

It's more than just schadenfreude.
When competing companies deliver product, that product competes for a slice of the same cake we all have to split when we mine.
The coin mined by competition's miners, in other words, comes out of your pocket.  If they don't deliver -- more cake for you.

Crap didn't see these replies.. if anyone is interested make me a reasonable offer!
224  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Hacking The KNC Firmware: Overclocking on: December 10, 2013, 06:28:28 PM
got my unit stable at ~620Gh/s (still rising after 4h). Had 660/700 almost stable but the temps are pretty high at the current location, so I had to abort. Might be solved by tweaking voltage settings though and repositioning the fans to cool the vrms.

You should use bfgminer you can then easily see which chips are doing what hash rate instead of just a total amount..

What values or script did you end up using?
225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: December 06, 2013, 10:38:40 PM
It would be great if KNC enabled php on the BB, that way they could add the miner.php file and add an additional tab to get lots of cool info!
226  Bitcoin / Hardware / Have 8 BFL chips.. what should I do with them? :) on: December 06, 2013, 10:02:22 PM
Anyone.. Smiley It seems that all the boards out are in the $300 range and well honestly I dont think that would ROI at all and would just be some device sitting on my desk that might make me some extra cash.

I could melt them, hand them out as xmas pres.. any other thoughts?

227  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: December 06, 2013, 06:27:37 PM
I have also talked to Luke-JR about getting BFGMiner support in as well since some like an alternative to CGMiner
228  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Hacking The KNC Firmware: Overclocking on: December 06, 2013, 06:23:52 PM
Any updates to this ? I'm sure lots of people are watching and standing by Smiley
229  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Hacking The KNC Firmware: Overclocking on: December 05, 2013, 10:02:57 PM
Interesting find, I was wondering when the OC would begin with the KNC devices esp with the diff changing every 10 days or so its good to see how much extra hash rate you can get.  Keep up the good work guys!

Things are moving quickly! We finally have the first Golden Nonce chip, we began testing it —sending the first current through the 28nm chip to see how it performs. So far, things are looking very good. HashFast co-founder and CTO Simon Barber to give us the play-by-play of the first tests.

We brought up IOVdd first. Up to 1.8V — draws less than the minimum 10mA the bench supply reads.
Next core. Something odd was observed here. Initially, we saw high current draw as we brought the voltage up, reaching 0.7V where it was drawing 2.5A. As the voltage increased a little over 0.7v the current suddenly dropped to 82mA. It stayed there up to Vddcore=0.8v. This odd pattern of high current at low core voltage was repeatable. RST held low. MODE and BYPASS were held high. PLLVdd pulled to Vdd. All other inputs seemed to float low, with a 1Mohm impedance probe.
Next CLK was applied — first 37Hz. 4mA increase in Vdd core current. Took chip out of reset. No change. Next increase clock speed, this increases current. In a couple of steps, we got it to 6Mhz, where the core Vdd was drawing 548mA.
After a few minutes, we turned things off. On retrying, we didn’t find the same odd, high current during ramp of core Vdd. Perhaps this was due to CLK floating then, and not since?

Calling it a night, having trouble getting the serial port levels shifted correctly. Will continue in the morning.

— Simon

Over the next few days, the HashFast engineering team will be working intensely as they subject the GN to more tests. As we’re able to get them to break and give us an update, we’ll let you know how it’s going.

Simon will also be tweeting on the HashFast account — if you’re interested in seeing the results as the they come, follow us @HashFast on Twitter.

Hooray!

There is light at the end of the tunnel.  All you concern trolls, disgruntled obsessives, and misc haters can now stop worrying.

PCBs are fast and easy to make.  They have these newfangled things called "robots" that can populate a PCB with components in seconds.

+1 !!

You have absolutely nothing better to do and just hang around all day on the forums?

Asking this when you already know that cedivad is a worried customer of HF who doesn't bother to post any updates make you a bad intended person (i could say that it moves you to either idiot or paid shill, but today i'm happy). I wish you invest a lot of money into something then not hear anything at all from the company so that you can feel and understand other people's problems.

I have and this was way before HF, so I know the risks of this business as well.  I did buy a lot of Avalon chips only to get 10 from a batch one order and well never got anything else.  So yes I understand but I'm not an employee of HF, just contract for them.  I do think that they are doing the best they can, I hardly think they are sitting their  going hmm, lets just keep delaying things for fun.  Stuff happens and unfortunately in this business time is money so its added stress but we all gotta roll with the ups and downs and weigh our risks given this type of industry in general, but that's just my personal opinion on the matter.

Hi there gateway, so you are the webmaster huh? I like your work , especially all the changes at will of delivery dates and Terms of sales. Also the complete lack of notice that they are already a month late, and will be 2 months late with their first batch, meanwhile continuing to sell a product that they don't have. Some would call it dishonest, some may call it fraudulent.

Maybe we post here so that things like this wont happen?

Guys, when I ordered for batch 4, I'm certain it said 'January' for delivery.  Now its changed.  Does anyone have a screenshot by any chance of the old site for BabyJet?

Why aren't we allowed to sit here on the forum and post in the thread all day like you say. Whys that a bad thing? How do you know i'm sitting? i have this forum up on my iPhone and ipad.
To be clear when I say webmaster I that means I mainly help out with server stuff, new plugins or code to write.  I do not have anything to do with whats posted on the site.

Nicely done!  Grin

You are only the webmaster, sure thing.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=274307.0

^ the proof of the opposite, here you have it.

You have absolutely nothing better to do and just hang around all day on the forums?

Btw not sure if you noticed that post was done way before I laid a line of code on the website for them.

So yea I have pimped them, they are my friends and friends help each other out.

You need to take your beef up with someone else and stop crying like a little baby on the forums, its not very professional .. (my personal opinion)

(did you just lure me into a troll trap, I don't care).

Also do you realize by constantly posting here it doesn't matter and you become easily ignored which is everyone's choice on this forum, people will still buy products and people will move on.

235  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 27, 2013, 11:58:25 PM
I won't start all over again with you.
Just stop defending your company made of scammers and we will be fine.

Not my company, I do work with them on the webmaster side of things, so don't take out your frustrations on me.
236  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 27, 2013, 11:54:34 PM
No way, i have a lot to say.

Better call Icebreaker if you want to troll. Pay him a little more.

I'm not sure what that means about call Icebreaker?

Yea! That video is certainly worth the 50k USD/BJ i'm losing.

Ever thought of sticking to this rule Smiley

shocker....btc is over $300 now and they announce they need more time to deliver.
hashfast is laughing "ah yes another 4 weeks mining with these suckers machines will do nicely to my wallet, who cares about their investment"

They are NOT mining with peoples machines... Stop being silly and spreading lies...
240  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 07, 2013, 10:36:18 PM
well I am glad to hear that the MPP is changed to start at october 30th but even tho I think it will end up not being near enough.

Looks like my prediction that BFL ships before hashfast will come true

You mean BFL will ship 3 of them and the next several hundred in lat aug? Smiley
