221  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Bitcoin Nightmare. on: January 24, 2014, 04:10:15 AM
We have the technology but do not understand it yet, our reach exceeds or grasp. Using the scrypt system inside Bitcoin is the only way to safely do this, if necessary a contract could be setup to mitigate the risk by creating a chargeback address back to you.
222  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and 3D printing on: January 15, 2014, 04:35:25 PM
They got it already. Printing processors is not too far off, we have the technology, we can re-build it.

http://3dprintingindustry.com/2013/11/29/fuji-xerox-exploring-potential-3d-printed-embedded-chips-change-world/

and If they can print pictures 78 microns wide, then they can print circuit boards that small too.

Lol! I got so carried away writing a Mind-Fuck article that I forgot to check the foundations. LOL!

Yeah at that moment in history, who the hell is going to use money, but on the ramp up toward that future they'll serve as great scorekeepers of intangible goods.
224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: PRE [ANN] CureCoin development continues.... on: January 15, 2014, 12:07:31 AM
open source what you got man. We want this project to happen, just let us know how the community can help, we are here and I know there are really talented people in this community following this with intent.
225  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-01-14] “Bubble” or “Ponzi scheme”: Chinese media keep bashing Bitcoin on: January 14, 2014, 11:41:34 PM
With what has been happening in the technology world... lol, It's the people who will win, not the governments or corporations. I'm happy they are reacting like this, even if it is for cheap coins, it means that once the rest of the Cryptocurrency ecosystem is up and running the little people will have a bigger share than the big players that are soon to be forced to play the BTC game.

The Chinese will be forced to buy at 1 million when the time comes. Hopefully the Chinese people will find a way to get in the game.
226  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-01-13] IT Business : Royal Canadian Mint's version of Bitcoin: MintChip on: January 14, 2014, 02:23:18 PM
can't deny though, if they implement this they can replace the entire swift network with it and all digital forms of money too, if the rest of the companies get it the network of value of Bitcoin becomes a moot point. But on the upside, they can't replace it's regulation free environment we can still do some amazing things with the technology that there is no way they would allow us to on a government run Coin.
227  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Anyone know ways to build own ASIC hardware?? on: January 14, 2014, 02:03:24 PM
We always had our electronics outsourced to a company that specialized in chip making, just sent them the designs and they do the rest for a few dollars per board... but it's in bulk.

If you are interested in making your own as a hobby, there are a few sources that will show you how to make them.

time to make some homemade microchips!

228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Chocolate Capitalism: How cryptocurrencies can yield real money on: January 13, 2014, 11:56:29 AM
I like the idea though, it could have a fixed value regardless of when it is redeemed. So 1 ounce of chocolate costs 1 chococoin, whether it is redeemed today or ten  years from now when the value of a ounce is 10x what it is now. It could even work as a hedge where all inflation/deflation occurs off the coin. It may even be worth as an investment for food in general, promising to conserve this months earnings of Chococoin(foodcoin) and betting on being able to purchase more food with it in the future, with that we have applied monetary controls over the consumption of food, even a market for the trade between those who eat a lot of chocolate and those who do not.
229  Economy / Economics / Re: Technological unemployment is (almost) here on: January 11, 2014, 10:27:20 PM
Very true, if DACs using Bitcoin are roaming the world... we could lose all our jobs in a matter of months, it would be a ground breaking accomplishment. All people in the developed world instantly having all their needs being dispensed by mobile Corporate micro DACs 3D printing all peoples needs at a fraction of current costs.
230  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and 3D printing on: January 11, 2014, 09:19:46 PM
You do not truly understand the phenomenal nature of what the future will bring us.

The convergence of the Singularity is upon us not from hyper-intelligent Computers, but from the Network of Networks, The Internet, a system that not only connects Computers to Computers, but the minds that connect to those computers to the Machines that are connected to that network, The Internet of Things. Everything will be connected and within your range of control from anywhere in the world, soon you will be cooking from you vehicle on the way home in a interactive simulation of your kitchen on your car dash... hell you'll probably train your car to do the cooking for you.

Think clearly and carefully the amalgamation of A.I, 3D Printing, the Internet of Things, Nanotechnology, programmable DNA, BlockChain enabled property rights management and voting systems, the future will be insane.

Not only will 3D printers print 3D printers, the 3D printers could very well be sentient; Think of Wall-e from pixars animated movie Wall-e, searching the wasteland for materials to brake down so it can make components for itself, or larger structures for it's use, all built in a modular fashion for swap and go performance... and all these components are Industrial Internet connected, everything Wall-e builds is connected to the network running on a massive Cloud server composed of those parts that are being made, all being  diagnosed and optimized by the Clouds Machine Learning System.  Through the eyes of a million cameras and satellites the Cloud A.I. can follow Wall-e around from orbital micro-modular satellites and even give network control to a Human with access to the control panel or a consensus driven network of humans that can set out routines for Wall-e to follow, allowing Wall-e to benefit from the collective intelligence of not only the Cloud A.I. but also from the Swarm of Humans connected to the Industrial Internet of Things. In fact these same objects that Wall-e is building, and Wall-e too, are contributing to the dialogue of what is to happen next, Wall-e has a say on what it can do, collaborating with the Cloud and the Swarm to direct and improve it's own operation beyond it's own sentient sovereignty. Wall-e can even go on autopilot and rely on the networks guidance while it gives it's attention to projects which it is interested in beyond it's everyday duties; Think of it as productive day-dreaming for machines, what could you do if as you were day dreaming in a factory your thoughts were becoming a reality?
Wall-e could very well be designing new libraries for Synthetic DNA or programmable DNA systems to upgrade Humans, Networking the Humans themselves at a DNA level, Connecting the Human Source code directly to the Industrial Internet of Things.Wall-e could very well be analyzing your DNA while it does it's everyday duties, observing analyzing your own DNA and upgrading it on the fly with special Machine to Biological interfaces installed in your body. I give this with backing with the latest reseach... we can now program the HIV virus to upgrade the Human White Blood Cells, what will we do next?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6SzI2ZfPd4

And to bring it around full Circle, Wall-e could be doing any one of these activities while earning Bitcoins, maybe even paying others to do things for it while it does these things, Network investing. Meanwhile Wall-e is incentivised to think about contributing to other projects by how much each project is worth in the eyes of the greater network; So Wall-e thinks, hmmm maybe I should start coding for project X because their cryptostock is paying well, even though Wall-e prefers to solve xDNA puzzles which have little returns, but have great potential. Wall-e could very well be Merge Investing in several stocks through escrow of it's earning for the crypto work it has done for different Cryptocurrencies, there by spreading the risk over several investments in it's portafolio of investments and Crypto rewards.

If it so suits itself, Wall-e could be 3D printing off specific objects for certain CryptoCurrencies or OT contracts funded by millions of Bitcoin users, maybe even gathering materials to sell to other 3D printers that need specific materials for manufacturing components based on per-arranged contracts, a mobile micro DAC network. Specific control of what Wall-e does and does not do can be controlled by market forces, with direct access by everything to everything around the planet, giving individuals a Control Console for the planet with accurate Real-Time Data.

233  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Future of the Internet. on: January 07, 2014, 10:08:17 AM
Came up with another one.

I strongly believe that we are turning the virtual world into the real world as the possibilities of what people can do rises, massive social projects become possible.

People start creating programs to help people build new things, Before we were limited by what we could do, but what if what we think is enough to change the world? not all of us are blessed with billion dollar chip foundries, but if we provide people with the software to contribute towards a project it won't matter, others can build upon their designs.

for example: If a device has to be built now, it requires someone to give you all the things you need to complete the job. Software, Experience, Q&A support, Hardware, specialist, engineers, ... if we provide the software for people to create anything it means we truly can build anything, the virtual world becomes the real world.

Next time you log into a 3D modeling website... maybe they will give you the opportunity to improve and build upon the designs that came before with a full suite of tools for you to test or aid in the design of a new product virtually.

I can see this being done for engines, consumer products, pharmaceuticals, once the product is virtually designed and built, the community can begin outsourcing it to those who can build it. We now become the Creators, Financiers, Builders, Founders of real change in the world.

It's all possible now... but with web deployment it becomes trivial to gain the help of the whole world to create something new.

Each person will contribute with what they can and with practice will come experience, with the right connections those who can build the parts can distribute not only the knowledge of how to build it but the parts themselves as a service to those who want to help test it, the technology would streamline itself overtime, till anyone could join at any level and know that they can effectively, as if in a online course, reach the point where they can do anything.
234  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best anonymous payment methods to sell BTC? on: January 02, 2014, 09:37:18 AM
I'm a seller on localbitcoins looking for a few ways to receive money anonymously. With all the hub-bub about banks accounts being frozen just because a new buyer mentions he is making a cash deposit for bitcoins, I'd like to find more secure ways of securing a payment.

Methods I'm considering:

1. Cash by mail - A little risky and takes a while to reach you, but truly anonymous.

2. Western Union? - Do I need to provide my SSN to receive money?

3. Moneygram - Same question as WU

Let people first and foremost provide music for free (and get compensated in DVC), so other people can use that music for free in their projects.

It seems MarkM's point is being, largely, missed.

If we are talking about free music then the authors of said music can simply release it to the public domain. That is not the same as Open Source.

How is this poem at devtome open source?

http://www.devtome.com/doku.php?id=epic_love_poem

Please explain this. Is such a poem open source, because I can go ahead and change words etc?
Don't I destroy the work of this poet if I just switch words around as it pleases me?
I mean, if I am really good, I can make this poem better, and add value. If I am illiterate I will destroy this poem if I try to change and remix it.

I can create "poems" thru music, and post them so people can listen to them. I can also give people access to the MIDI-Files and all the tracks (if for example my music has 8 tracks, people can download all tracks separately)... So people can remix and mashup my music and potentially (if they know what they are doing) create something new.

The poem on devtome is free too, won't you agree?

I think we can all agree that everything that is posted as open source is also always free.

But not everything that is free is open source. But artists can make their art more or less open source by giving access to all work material. But this is difficult if part of their work material is in their brain.

For example: I can't open source the groove feeling I have in my left hand when I play that funky bassline.
Oh I can give you notes and MIDI-Files... but try and use those to create similar funky basslines and you will fail.

What I mean is, open source is partly possible with art, but not all the way thru, like it is with math and code.

You should be more accurate...; You should say," I can't do it yet."

fThe most hilarious part is that  a regular  business would have told them to go fuck them themselves and go talk to their lawyers. Fuck them just innihilate them with a court order., that will finish them.

Edit: This is hilarious looks like I got hacked, didn't write this folks.

237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Investment Plan on: December 31, 2013, 08:11:40 AM
..
Um, that article doesn't seem to offer people any way to invest in your plan, nor indicate in what way it is a business (who are the customers of the business, how do they buy the service or product).
..
Back to the "business plan", I now see Unthinkingbit approved it. Unthinkingbit, could you explain a little more what you mean by "a business", inasmuch as I don't see any customers in Smeagol's plan, it looks to me more like a how to play the markets guide or something along those lines.

The investment plan bounty is pretty open:
http://www.devtome.com/doku.php?id=devcoin_bounty_now#investment_business_plan

The purpose of it is to find some way of making money. It could be a plan or idea, later someone could make a publicly traded business out of it, or people could make money from a trading strategy. I expect most plans and ideas to go nowhere, there are 10 awards so that hopefully one of them will make lots of money. The requirement is basically that it must make sense, and be at least 500 words, so that people can grasp it. Also, although I didn't mention it in the bounty, charts and graphs help.

It's up to Smeagol to award the bounties for everyone else's plan. I handled the award for Smeagol because no one can award a bounty to themselves. When I made the bounty I assumed that everyone would have one plan per article, but having multiple ideas is ok. For Smeagol's plan, his ideas make sense, the article is well over 500 words, and he has good images:
http://devtome.com/doku.php?id=altcoin_day_trading_investment_plan

so I awarded him the bounty.

In deed, the more ideas we have the more likely we are to pick the correct ones. what if we just had a continuous bounty for ideas on an ongoing basis... like a monthly idea bounty?
238  Economy / Economics / Re: Technological unemployment is (almost) here on: December 31, 2013, 07:30:18 AM
You know what we are forgetting?

What happens next? What happens when technology is advancing beyond our capability to comprehend...
That the pattern of innovation accelerated to the point that it is a blur to human understanding... we can only observe and try to accept what we are learning.

With the disappearance of Manual jobs still means that a great percentage will make their living doing higher level jobs, so things will start to speed-up on the innovation front. I give it another ten years and all manual jobs will be completely gone, another ten the service jobs, only research and Human arts related jobs would remain... funny. We are already gaining the capability to automate entire industries by ourselves, you know, you and me, a single person deploying an Automated Corporation, not Decentralized simply generating revenue for us, that will be another player in the future landscape.

Decentralized Automated Corporations, what a powerful idea that we have the technology now to do this, but will have to rough it for years to establish credibility... enough to generate revenue for it's investors. So in essence we are building the future network right now... Maybe we should think about it at a larger scale to skip a couple learning steps.

They need Robots to mechanize all these manual labour jobs... but we have the capability to automate any office job... and we can deploy them right now with free OpenSource software, programming after all is logic, there is a logic to all systems, it would simply need to be copied and extended for use on the web. How would we design a system, do we absorb all the profits of our DAC deployment or setup shares to spread the wealth... sooner or later customers disappear if they run out of money... massive taxation would be the result and eventual government integration since all the DAC automates it's maintenance and operation... I would rather avoid that by starting out by selling shares.

Sooner or later it'll happen, people have read the idea, I have no doubt someone is starting the long arduous journey to build it right now somewhere on the Internet, all those jobs will be gone completely in 20 years. The economy will be a place where people focus on gaining further efficiencies at ever increasing speeds, till that process itself is automated, We may even have Digital Avatars that interact with the world for you, guiding you about information in the world. We can do that now... just not enough digital infrastructure, not lack of technology stops us from doing that.

I was pretty blown away when I spotted this today, Could a future Intel chip have a neural module installed for easy virtualization of your personality for your Digital Avatar?

http://www.dailytech.com/IBM+Unveils+Latest+Version+of+Spiking+NeuronBased+Brain+Chips/article33135.htm

Who will watch the watchers?
239  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin In India Under attack :- global community please help on: December 30, 2013, 03:56:22 PM
I found these excellent articles on another post, great reading and very true. Your foundation has to be Mission based, each person observing the pool of knowledge, taking and giving to it for others to work with, simply contributors adding insight.

This article is on normal Hierarchys, and how FUD makes them ineffective.
http://greatestinstruments.net/breaking-down-the-pyramids-that-govern-part-1-of-2/

Another on Emerging Networks and how they approach the same problems
http://greatestinstruments.net/the-rise-of-emergent-networks-part-2-of-2/

A case example on how structures that critique the individual falter over time, compared to Emergent Networks that emphasize solutions.
http://greatestinstruments.net/pyramids-networks-and-the-emergent-weapons-of-cyber-war/

The question becomes how to effectively structure the organization in a Distributed or Decentralized manner around the information/problems/systems that emerge on a day to day basis... Basically, how do you get peoples contributions spread to and from key points?

In larger established organizations these problems are dealt by fine tuning the process with better learning materials and policies... but they often take people to the pinnacle of an organizations practices, without letting individuals mentally understand how they got to that point, hence mistakes are made as those who remember why the policies were put in place retire.
240  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin In India Under attack :- global community please help on: December 30, 2013, 01:55:40 AM
just trade on localbitcoins and eventually media will forget about bitcoins and the government. Better yet do IRC trades so they can't figure out how to get in the room and spread FUD. Even paypal couldn't 100% get into India with their trillions so lobbying Indian gov is a waste of time completely. Speaking of virtual currencies, how do all those Okpay, Perfectmoney, and Ukash exchangers exist in India and advertise freely?

Bribes... They probably work the same way they do where I was born; I couldn't even get my Citizenship card without bribing someone and I followed all the legal steps, had to wait a few months as their backlog of cards was so extreme they had to announce it to people in the newspaper to come pick up their cards, and I got mine without having to bribe anyone... but it sure takes a long time.

They have to go through legislation first, if they do it the other way... they'll be labeled as money launderers or Terrorists, they'll get people murdered or robbed by government thugs, if they don't do this properly, someone hiding things or instantly complying to stupid requests without accerting their rights is an easy target for further heavy handed action... they'd be signalling that they are weak and easy prey.

No most Court cases take a Decade to fight through... that is enough time to let other parts of the system flourish while they are in legal limbo.

Building a swarm of capable Bitcoiners and an infrastructure to support them is all that can be done; This will mitigate an attack against individuals since any one of the group that is willing to take the risks and responsibilities will emerge regardless of what happens to the person before them, it would be like attacking the opposition party leader and expecting their entire base to desolve.

Established Social groups cannot be taken down because of the infrastructure and the Chain of tradition, culture, knowledge of that group... The Bitcoin Pod in India has to establish these foundations in record time to avoid a violent attack.

Bitcoin being a massive Crowd Sourced Swarm has to communicate with the legacy Hierarchy systems, That requires Representatives to interact and educate Government representatives... they cannot be allowed to make up their version of what's up... It'll cause an instant effect on their Hierarchy, for better or worse, their version will go up the chain of command and interaction protocols will be setup throughout the entire Government structure. All laws are, programming protocols, laws are lines of code... but unlike computer code people can choose to comply or not.
