Will Ethereum be able to implement Proof of Stake on Ethers? I think it would be a great idea to stake Ethers (like a bank account which earns you interest) as this would make it more energy efficient than mining them with a GPU. Still there is a lot to be developed on, and maybe in the next 2 to 3 years we would be able to see Ethereum's true potential. This is an excting journey for Ethereum.  I've been lending mine on Polo for interest  Could you advise me on how to do such thing? This looks pretty interesting, but I do not know how to do that on the Poloniex exchange. Sorry for asking, I'm still not familiar with how Poloniex works. I use Cryptsy most of the time.  I just started doing this myself after I saw this video. The video is a bit rough, but should give you a good idea how the Lending area works. It helped me get a better understanding of how Poloniex lending works. This is pretty amazing. That means I could start lending my ETH and gain interest in return. The problem is the project was dependent on popularity and usage via fair distribution, which didn't really do anything but create a bunch of sellers who were happy to sell their free stake for anything. You have anonymous developers who can't market their product because they are anonymous. NEM offers new development and POI, but no one really seems to care. It's a bummer cause I like the project, but right now I see BTC, ETH, and maybe a few others will survive the Alt coin bubble. I have a lot of NEM, but I'm not sure I can even sell it at this point.
Those that warned everyone was called a troll and/or a whale. The developers killed this coin by refusing to market it and making up fake projects and delayed delay delay and hope for a bubble so they could cash out. Well that bubble/pump never came lol. |

I had liked, "The blockchain to do more." I think it has a nice duel meaning in that the NEM chain is constantly gaining more features, and that the NEM chain can do more to meet a businesses needs. It is planned and fully expected this will change in the future as we have some good things planned. If for some reason the program doesn't get enough funding by V1, the people that have bought in the sale will be refunded. do you mean ,people who bought on NXT AE get refunded ? Is this some sort of joke? Yes. Some people (including myself and TwinWinNerD) purchased extra coins via the NXT AE because we knew we would want more than 1. hahaha |

Also if we are still in development phase why was there a distribution at all? You got money from a bunch of investors and promised cutting age technology and ideas, but have provided nothing and we are literally holding "XEM" that is worthless, there is N O T H I N G we can do with it. Well I guess we could sell at a loss. I can only assume this is a scam, or a sinking ship, you have given us nothing to prove otherwise but words. I await my PM about this post being removed lol. If you are happy with the 40 sat valuation then this is perfect for you. If you like deadlines that get pushed back indefinitely then this is the coin for you. If you hate money this is the coin for you.
NEM is not about making money, but about good tech in the first place. The industry will get it, then the people will get it. And then the traders will get it, but then its too late. So you either see this long term, or not. But NEM is for sure not the right thing for you, if you want to make a quick buck. Besides that: What deadlines are you talking about? Mind to give just 1 example? The coin itself was nearly a year late hahaha And Technology moves fast. Buy the time this catches on it will be surpassed. It may already be surpassed. |

Is it spreading XEM or is someone accumulating them? just pump and dump NXT clone No. Not really the distribution was good, far better than almost all other coins. Also my understanding of the code base and parameters are far different to NXT. He was referring to something else. Don't take it to mean NEM as it is not NEM for sure. Probably in a wrong forum. Was already on my ignorelist. Prob right forum and just ignorant Poor guy I assume you're the biggest bagholder here? |

Don't forget that you have to take into account volume! Can you really draw a conclusion about how most people value their XEM when the total volume for the last 24 hours is just over 1% ?? I think most of today's volume is bots,investors and some impatient people that take the opportunity to sell which may in fact be based on very limited knowledge of NEM for everyone who's selling. 1% daily volume is the average of any successful coin. Do the the math for Ethereum. There are around 62M ether = 248,000 BTC based on todays exchange rate. The average daily Ether volume is around 2000 Ether. which is almost 1% XEm 24 Hour Volume $294, Ether 24 hour volume: $4022. That is nearly 1,500% percent more value. Percentage wise: XEM 0.24%, Ethereum 3.32%, do you just make up stuff in your own head? |
