2201  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is BTC Segwit address? on: June 11, 2022, 06:00:17 PM
Thank you for quoting the guide on how to create a segwit wallets with Electrum but I think it's a bit outdated. Newer version of Electrum will create a segwit wallet (bech32 adresses starting with bc1) by default and this is since version 4.1.0 (March 2021)*.
Newer version of Electrum do not allow creating legacy wallets from the GUI anymore. To do so you have to use the command line.
Or you can generate a legacy seed from the Console by typing this command:
Code:
make_seed(seed_type="standard")

2202  Economy / Gambling / Re: TRUSTDICE.WIN SCAM AND DIDNT LET ME WITHDRAW on: June 11, 2022, 05:28:47 PM
In the meantime, for the sake of maintaining an open and transparent line of communication with the Bitcointalk community, we have looked into the communication matters involved here, as it seems to be what got the OP banned:

Fortunately we have located our chat history with the OP. We found the OP was abusing the Live Chat function. Specifically, he repeatedly harassed the CS team with the same message, and started a total of 13 conversations with the same message simultaneously:
Thank you for taking the time to respond here and telling us your side of the story and I am glad that this issue got resolved without escalation but to be honest I still don't get why OP got banned! according to screenshots you posted, he didn't break your ToS:
Quote
    11.2.b    make statements that are abusive, defamatory or harassing or insulting;
He was frustrated and worried about losing his money and this is probably why he repeatedly asked the same question again and again. As far as I can see, he didn't make any harassing or insulting statement. At least, you could have warned him and leave banning his account as a last resort.
2203  Economy / Gambling / Re: 💥🔥Fairspin.io🔥💥 | Blockchain Casino to Play🤩 & Earn🤑 on: June 11, 2022, 04:08:50 PM
Nice to hear that this issue got resolved and Poika5 was able to withdraw his money (although it took too long). OP, you should know that comments on bitcointalk aren't pre-moderated and appear as soon as they get posted. Maybe you just unintentionally missed those comments.
It would be good if you share with us and let us know what happened exactly and why Poika5's withdrawal request took that long to get processed. But I can understand if you can't share such information for privacy/security reasons or because you don't have the privilege to access them.
2204  Economy / Gambling / Re: crash3.io | web3 gaming on: June 10, 2022, 11:46:33 PM
I notice that after two months you are not yet wearing a copper account I understand that your crash game is still in the prelaunch stage but wearing one already can take out your restrictions as a newbie so you can easily get your messages across like posting of images and pictures and messaging people that you want to communicate, especially now that your casino is gaining ground or support.
Please check again! OP've already bought the copper membership and he is wearing it. Not sure when he bought it exactly, though. Maybe he did it recently and this is why you didn't notice it!
Right now and since they are not ready yet to announce the launch of their platform and they do not need to create an official ann thread (with images) the main benifice of the copper membership is to let them send more PMs without time restrictions in case they want to communicate privately with other members.
2205  Economy / Gambling / Re: 7Slotz.io - Fair Crypto Casino on: June 10, 2022, 10:01:09 PM
Welcome 7Slotz to bitcointalk!
Not sure if it's only me but am having problems playing the dice game on mobile. If I tap anywhere on the screen or try to scroll down or up, the game starts without tapping on the Play button! Fortunately it was just free credits. That would be frustrating if it was real money.
The mobile version of the website needs more work and improvement. It's not very responsive and a bit laggy.
Thanks for the feedback! I will take a look on your bug report Smiley
Almost 7 days have passed but nothing have changed! Am still facing the same issue when trying to play from my mobile. And it appears the problem is not only with the dice game but with almost all other games.
Regarding your provably fair system, again, where can we find the hash of the server seed and how we can set the client seed? I thought the hash of the server seed will be displayed the moment you start the game but I don't see it anywhere.
2206  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitLucy.com 🎰 200% deposit bonus, 🕡 valid for 48 hours! on: June 10, 2022, 08:53:57 PM
An update for everyone.

Yesterday they said withdrawals would be working in under 24 hours. I've waited more than that now and they say they are still working on it. They said it will be another 24 hours so i will give them that but if its not finished then i will open a scam accusation. Sad

Why they are taking deposits when they can't/won't pay withdrawals i don't understand.
Not sure what's the problem with their payment system and why they keep updating it but, for the moment being, they should at least process withdrawals manually for legit users.
Also not sure how their payment service doesn't process withdrawal automatically but still accepts deposits with no problems!
Why don't they use a third party payment processor to avoid all these problems!
Anyway, I hope all these problems will be fixed soon.
2207  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to receive Bitcoin on Twitter with Bitcoin Tip and other options on: June 10, 2022, 04:05:51 PM
If am not wrong, the first time they introduced this feature it was possible to send tips only via the lightning network but now you can send on-chain transactions, right? Is it still possible to use the lightning network?
I didn't try this new feature yet and not sure if it's available in my country but based on your description, it doesn't look like a tipping system anymore but more of a way to add a bitcoin address to your profile information (just like name, location, website...). As I said, I didn't try it yet so I might be wrong!
2208  Economy / Gambling / Re: Neodice.com ⚡️ | Daily bonuses | 4,59 BTC Jackpot! 💲 on: June 10, 2022, 03:11:25 PM
They did the right thing by removing that part from OP but they still need to explain why they made that claim in first place
It's not like they made a typo or something like that and hoping we will let it go and forget about it just by correcting it.

OP, please avoid making multiple posts in a row. It's against forum rules:
Posting multiple posts in a row (excluding bumps and reserved posts by the thread starter) is not allowed.

2209  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitcointalk Account seller on: June 10, 2022, 01:11:11 PM
As stated above, buying/selling bitcointalk accounts isn't against the forum rules but it's highly frowned upon by the community.

Unfortunately, the community can't do much here and dt members are unlikely to tag those accounts since there is no valid proof that @Bountyhunterbtc really owns them and they are for sale. The screenshots you provided do not prove anything (did he send you a pm from the member account? Because as I can see from the conversation, he didn't mind doing it).
2210  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betfamous - sports betting contests - create your challenges - crypto stablecoin on: June 10, 2022, 11:29:46 AM
As I mentioned before, I noticed that you stated "All bets will be recorded in the blockchain..." Could you please give us a little more information on this? Which blockchain will you use? Is there going to be some kind of verification process? Can we expect a special protocol for this?
It looks like they encrypt the bet details with md5 then store the hash on the Kovan (ethereum) testnet blockchain. Here are two betting proof examples from their website:
0x167f493190796c4a3675590d9a36e2495c76b818fb954b8e3befab8719a9c57e

I believe they chose the Kovan test network to save on fees but am not sure how reliable this chain is when it comes to storing data!
There are many other networks which allow storing data on their blockchains and have a fast confirmation time and low transaction fees. I would recommend using one of them instead of a testnet blockchain.
2211  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Scam alert] Paytiz.com on: June 09, 2022, 11:57:05 PM
I am not sure, but I think they were BestChange partners at some point before. Their current status on the bestchange.com site is "disabled" and with a big red warning:
Yes you are right, they were partners but they got delisted from best change's list of exchangers due to their shady behavior and the many complaints and accusations against them. Showing bestchange's logo in the list of their partners is deceitful, to say the least.

I agree with evgeny_s. Delisting them and showing a warning banner is not enough. It would be better if bestchange completely remove the link to their website and disallow posting new fake reviews.
2212  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betfamous - sports betting contests - create your challenges - crypto stablecoin on: June 09, 2022, 11:28:01 PM
Welcome to bitcointalk betfamous!
I really liked the concept of your platform. It's unique and not sure if I encountered a similar one before.
However, it's a bit hard to grasp how everything works there. I think it will take me some time to figure out how to create a contest and how to join one.
I suggest adding a demo mode to give users the opportunity to test the platform for free and get used to it before they start playing with real money.
2213  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Can Someone Explain This Scam? on: June 09, 2022, 10:40:48 PM
I was added to a Telegram group
The first thing you have to do is to go to your Telegram account's privacy settings and change Groups & Channels from Everybody to My Contacts. This way you will prevent random people from adding you to such scam groups.

It's not that hard to figure out how this scam works. As Potato Chips explained above, they are simply asking you to buy BTC or eth from binance then to send the coins you bought to their addresses (0x../3Lj).
2214  Economy / Gambling / Re: I want to make a telegram live betting group… on: June 09, 2022, 09:35:57 PM
I just visited and it doesn't seem very active, just two or three comments per day! Either OP doesn't know how to promote it and how to attract new members or people are not really interested in this kind of groups.

Someone can join on your Telegram group but no one will share his/her actual bet even me.
They can add a feature to reward those who give good predictions to incentivize members to share their bets but not sure how to properly implement such feature or if it's even possible to implement it.
2215  Economy / Gambling / Re: How do you know how to trust online sportsbooks? on: June 09, 2022, 08:59:48 PM
Well, they need to establish a good relationship with the forum users if they want to attract any players on this forum. There is no free meal. Sometimes even that's not going to be enough.
...
You got me wrong! Sorry if my reply wasn't so clear, I'll try to rephrase it to better explain what I was asking about.
I wasn't asking about how a sportsbook can establish a good reputation on bitcointalk or how they can attract new players. I asked how we can know if a sportsbook can be trusted if they don't have an announcement thread here or on other reviews websites where we can read other members feedbacks and reviews
2216  Economy / Gambling / Re: How do you know how to trust online sportsbooks? on: June 09, 2022, 05:09:40 PM
Based on the replies above, it looks like most members will judge the trustworthiness of a sportsbook or a casino based on what they read here on this forum or on other reliable review websites (meaning they rely on other users reviews).
But what if the sportsbook/casino doesn't have an announcement thread or an account on bitcointalk and it is still new and there are no reviews about it or any mention of it anywhere online?
I believe in such case we will have to follow a different approach  and rely on other criteria to determine if the sportsbook can be trusted or not. Any ideas?
2217  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino Game on: June 09, 2022, 04:38:43 PM
I don`t think that VPN can seriously help to keep your privacy. It mostly illusion as for me. How it can help if several minutes later you have KYC(for example)?
It's true that using a VPN can't help you stay private and hide your identity if the casino or any other website you are accessing will ask you to verify your identity at some point.
But this is not why people use VPNs and I don't agree with you when you say it doesn't enhance users privacy. VPNs are mostly used to bypass geo-restriction ( when accessing a certain website is restricted either by your ISP or the website itself). They are also used to hide your online activity from your ISP (government) or from a network admin or any one on the same network who can monitor your traffic (ie: if you are connected to a public network). This way, they can't know what websites you are visiting.
Using a VPN is not really a bad idea, just make sure the website you are accessing allows it.
2218  Economy / Gambling / Re: Neodice.com ⚡️ | Daily bonuses |Licensed in UK | 4,59 BTC Jackpot! 💲 on: June 08, 2022, 10:54:53 PM
^^
I think the first and most important question they should answer is about their claims of being licensed in the UK. On the footer of the website there is only information about a Curaçao license (which is a valid one according to licensing.gaming-curacao.com/validator/)
I think they need to work more on improving the dice game by adding more features such as adding an advanced auto-betting tool especially that this is the only game on their website (not sure if they have any plans to add more games in the future, though).

2220  Economy / Gambling / Re: 7Slotz.io - Fair Crypto Casino on: June 04, 2022, 10:12:59 PM
Well the Crypto Raffle has 10000 tickets, once every ticket is sold we randomly select a winner, there is no big magic happening here, just a random ticket will be selected.
I asked you a clear question so, please, give me a clear answer. It is as simple as that.

I clearly asked you about the provably fair system/algorithm you use to determin the winner in your lottery game (you claim all your games are provably fair, right!) but your answer is a general explanation about how lottery games work as if we don't already know that!
Also, why is it possible to buy tickets with free credits which practically have no value? wouldn't this affect the chances of winning for players who buy tickets with real money?
