You are going to receive notification in this thread every time somebody mention your name. Let's see if Piggy is smart enough to ignore posts @iasenko in this thread ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Suggestions: -add the image height to the code for a better forum loading experience (I hate it when pages keep scrolling during image loading) -add this to the code: alt=Loading image created by iasenko...

If you want to keep a complete list, you should automate this. There's no way you're going to keep 17 Reserved posts up to date if you do it by hand.
Also: jillscarbrough is in your list twice.

I've noticed it for a very long time: Bitcoin often has a stable price for a long time, then suddenly drops hard or shoots up. It dropped a few times in the past week, and as usual, it's very stable for a while after the drop. Yesterday's drop is no exception:What is causing this? My guess is this is manipulation, and my next guess is someone is waiting for order books to be filled before placing another big sell (or buy) order which will cause the next price jump.No spam All my threads are now self-moderated to stop signature spam. I will remove all irrelevant posts. If you quote the entire OP, your entry will be deleted. Once in a while I'll summarize posts and clean up this thread.

I think voting is the best way to show popularity to theymos. I don't think popularity is a good measure for Mod skills. Reporting skills are a much better measure, and theymos knows that already. During the time I was a Mod at Rollin, being a good Mod did not make me popular. If someone breaks the rules, a Mod takes Mod action, and the user blames the Mod.

Giving LoyceV the nuke button is a no-brainer. I think he's pretty high up in the reporting stats too, but that's not the full story. Now it goes like this: LoyceV's script catches suspects -> someone needs to verify and report them -> moderators need to review and nuke. Seems to me like cutting out the middleman (or woman) and the hassle of reporting would be a benefit.
I now have the easy part: it's very easy to spit out hundreds of accounts that can probably be nuked. When I report them post by post I make sure I'm certain they should be nuked, but actually verifying hundreds of accounts is much more work.

Where is @LoyceV?
Summoned? This thread smells like one failed attempt to earn Merit.

@LoyceV, I saw this one too and I think he's not one of them. It's a false positive, I didn't report that post. Automated lists still need a manual review. Next time I'll add a link to the post history, to make it faster.

I'd rather not. If they are going to go through and delete posts, they can just as easily hit the 'report' button. Self-moderated threads all over the forum would just be annoying and I generally avoid self-moderated threads because they have typically been used to shut out the opinions of others and/or cover up shady activities. It depends on who started the thread. I've only had a few of my posts deleted from self-moderated threads: it happens when OP runs a scam, in which case red trust solves it, or when I post something that only serves a temporary purpose (as in: "feel free to delete this after reading"). Self-moderation works very well against spam. I think it scares away most spammers before they even post, which is great! It also allows me to delete more posts than a Mod would delete, in order to keep my thread clean and to summarize posts. I try to be careful not to overdo this though. I keep forgetting to do this. Lol. It took me about a year to get used to doing it ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Is it possible for a mod to change the status after the thread has been started?
No. That wouldn't be fair to posts made by users who don't want to be moderated by you.

I understand, I admit that I broke the rules. Can I use a new account? No. If you would have bothered to read the rules instead of just saying you understand them, you would have known that: 25. Ban evasion (using or creating accounts while one of your accounts is banned) is not allowed.[e]
Copy/pasting spammers are not welcome on this forum. Bye.

I'm a beginner and made a mistake, stupid of me. Poor illiterate bounty spammer! You've only spammed 569 posts in 10 months, you must be a beginner indeed! I am engaged in bounty and now I can not do my work. "work" ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) No, copying and pasting does not work. Reports need to be sent for bounty. Do you even English?

I had reported some of the posts made by the 3 dot* accounts earlier already. They're nuked now. This one is still active. I'll report that one too, asking to be nuked.

Dat snap ik. Merit begging lijkt me ook goed irritant inderdaad. Wasr het mij meer om gast is om te weten waar je naar kijkt voordat je merit geeft. Kan je daar iets over delen? Laat ik hiermee starten: I'm hoping that this system will increase post quality by: - Forcing people to post high-quality stuff in order to rank up. If you just post garbage, you will never get even 1 merit point, and you will therefore never be able to put links in your signature, etc. - Highlighting good posts with the "Merited by" line.
While we will not be directly moderating this, I encourage people to give merit to posts that are objectively high-quality, not just posts that you agree with.

Nederlands (Dutch)
What happened to mitchell? I was wondering about that too: he's still Staff, but no longer listed as Moderator on any of the Dutch local boards.

I've suggested before (by PM) to scrape patrol for inactive Newbies that wake up, and I think you've implemented this too. Thanks to Piggy, I stumbled upon recent. If you're not using it yet, you can use this to instantly detect every account that wakes up. It looks like it covers at most 20 seconds, so you'll have to scrape it very often.

Even though, as an overall strategy, I recommend selling small amounts on the way up and using those proceeds to buy back, in my above post, I am making a different point, which is asking about whether naidray has a buying plan, especially if he believes that BTC prices are going DOWN to the $5,150 range. Furthermore, as an additional point, I understand that there are a lot of folks who don't want to sell any of their BTC and they ONLY want to buy on dips. I completely understand that kind of "don't wanna sell any" inclination. I've sold about 0.5 Bitcoin for 200-ish dollars a few years back (I still regret this, but I learned from it). Now I have a different approach: I sell a small bit every time Bitcoin goes up 18%. Since I started keeping track, my schedule shows (in euro) sales at 3k5, 4k2, 4k9, 5k8, 6k9, 8k1, 9k6, 11k3, 13k4 and 15k8. Since I only sell small bits, and since the current price is still much higher than my early sales, I see no reason to buy back more. I made this schedule because I realized I'm terrible at timing the market. Or, as I've said before: I'm not buying, I'm not selling, I'm just enjoying the ride. But I do enjoy the ride up more than the ride down ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)
