Anyone tried mining with a 7990? Any good? I have one used for CAD work, but at night.......
I have four 7990:s hashing. Mine are doing around 2200Khs per core / 8800-9000Khs / card. edit: i run 2x7990 on 1x Corsair rm 850w without problems. I have two identical setups. Are you sure you can run both cards incl. all other ( motherboard, fans, HDD etc.) on 850 W. Only my two cards using 1000w if the are stressed on 100% minging LTC Is there a difference using the X11 algo by mining DRK and scrypt coins like LTC? X11 consumes like 40% less electricity, someone ppl already measured their exact consumtion diff in this topic few pages before. But it can be also guessed since the heat generation of the cards is also 30-40% lower atleast. |

That troll is horrible. Its incredibly annoying that the bitcoin subreddit blindly up votes this. But honestly, the OP of that post is probably intentionally hurting darkcoin and just looked for any reason. I run the @darkcoinnews twitter account and he's spamming his reddit post with fake twitter account everywhere. How convenient that is now that your interview is out and we're gaining positive attention. Followed now anyhow  |

Good and everything but I've expected something more mature from r/bitcoin (IDK why). "A" person keeps attacking the coins idea which you defend / answer, "A" person keeps silent, no approval and "B" person attacks/questions another part which you answer, rinse and repeat with the whole ABC. Also they keep questioning why this is different from coinjoin and/or trolling us with accusations on fake accounts. I just expected something more from fellow crypto ppl.... |

Anyone know why the new wallett isnt syncing?
I updated yesterday, it synced pretty fast, woke up now and it just wont bother even after a restart.
I just redownloaded the QT, deleted everything except wallet.dat and it gets stuck at the same point @ 16 hours left. Does it have anything to do with the fork? Ty anyway will try it. OK have now deleted and redownloaded blockchain TWICE with new Windows client, and TWICE stuck on Block 34110. Will sync fine up to that point and then will not move, even after waiting several hours and after adding the above nodes. Any method of directly downloading the full blockchain to get past this hump? Same happens to me, stuck on the same block as you. |

I cant see this coin on coinwarz.
also this incredibly unprofitable coin has so many miners, and such high hash rate which makes diff high.
with no profit at all why are so many people mining this coin?
I am not trying to spread FUD. Coin is great and innovative. (being anonymous is awesome)
But from the miners perspective is terrible.
I am just looking for some serious answers.
You have to remember, that darkcoin has 3.1 times the hashrate than scrypt and therefore the difficulty directly compared to vertcoin, dogecoin etc. is rather high. But if you take the factor in your calculation, it is about even. + half the electricity consumption |

Already darkcoin forks popping up, if darkcoin wants to be a success there has to be more innovation ^^.
More innovation? You mean like the DGW, that was implemented literally a few minutes ago? DarkCoin "forks" popping up that don't contain DGW or DarkSend.... More like Litecoin forks with scientific hashing. AS i sayd, i think darkcoin took a great track, but it has to sustain. There is a very good reason im here now  , and its the only alt crypto i ever recognized as worth my time . I wholeheartedly agree. This can't be the end of the innovation by any means - DRK needs to be understood as THE privacy innovation crypto, and we all need to get behind Evan on that. All these pump-dumpers complaining that "Darksend's never finished" can go hang. Any dev worth the project they're working on knows encryption features are never 100% "done". I'd love to see it to be the first cryptocoin to implement the latest developments in quantum cryptography, or something similarly newsworthy. I have no idea if that's even possible, but we need to shoot for the stars! Well like I've said before, this is my full time job. After DarkSend is done and opensourced, we'll move on to whatever the community wants. I just want to make a coin to take the 2nd spot, I think we can do it. There's not many coins with a full time dev onboard. And not every dev is so innovative |
