Updated to latest Windows client.  Stopped syncing at Block 34110.  Blew out blockchain and started redownloading.  Synced back to Block 34110 and once again stuck.

Using p2pool @ qhor.net.  Anyone know if they have updated on their end?

That's a good idea I think - you could even pull in latest updates in the threads on Reddit or here via API.

They hadn't by the time the chain forked - their P2Pool node and mine were the last two on the list. I managed to get mine sorted, but I have no idea if theirs is. Feel free to point at mine in the interim if the latency is ok from where you are: http://drk.p2pool.n00bsys0p.co.uk:7903/static/

0% fees at the moment too.

So I updated to the newest wallet and it was working fine yesterday. I restarted it just now and it said something about a best block error or something. I closed it and restarted it and now it won't sync, stuck at block 33830. Anyone know why?

We emailed all of the pools and exchanges we knew about. Sorry, we missed you this time. Everyone else was informed 16 hours ahead of time (should have been longer than that, I agree). Next time you'll be on the list

What pool do you run? It's not listed in the OP, I must have missed it.

So my interview with Simone Brunozzi, Cheif Technologist of VMWare just went live, Enjoy:

https://medium.com/p/a923facddc3c

That was great to get a little background about you.  I knew you were exceptional, and the interview didn't surprise me, though it's awesome to be able to send that to my mom.  Last time we talked, she'd gotten enough of bitcoin to get a negative impression, I could tell, but she's only starting here, and I think that interview will raise her eyebrows in a good way.

She is an overly cautious person, but even more so, she's "a sucker" for high intelligence.  Bad choice of words, but she does know when a person is full of hot air, and when they're impressive, she "falls head over heals" for them (kinda like me - you need a second Mom?  Aunt?  LOL)  I KNEW there was a redhead in my future! LOL  Grin  Cheesy

That's a nice idea, but really, Evan's team really needs to have an email list, and if it's supported, a PM list so that with  one swoop, he can send a warning to everyone.

On the other hand, he didn't intend to have it happen so fast, he just miscalculated the block where it would fork.  It was a human mistake.   I hope everyone can forgive that!

Evan,

Just wondering what you think the effect of "stealth addresses" in bitcoin would have on DRK? Do you think it will devalue DRK? Would it provide the same level of anonymity as DarkSend?

Thanks!

I don't think that bitcoin will ever implement anything stealth.  It will have to be a 3rd party processing or else a parallel wallet system.  They don't want to mess with their multi billion dollar economy plus with all the bad press from illegal activities, they don't want to invite more criticism.  So I don't really know who/what is developing stealth addresses for bitcoin, but Zerocoin ended up having to do it as a separate coin instead of what they wanted to do because the developers of bitcoin said they didn't want to participate with their project.

Depending on your shaders...

I can get a solid 2.45-2.46 per card or combined 9.696mh/s avg. with 4 Sapphire 290 tri-x oc.  Changed the TC, engine, memclock, and intensity.

"gpu-threads" : "1",
"gpu-engine" : "950:1000",
"gpu-memclock" : "1250:1300",
"gpu-powertune" : "0",

"intensity" : "21",
"thread-concurrency" : "20481",
"worksize" : "256",
"lookup-gap" : "2",

"temp-overheat" : "78",
"temp-cutoff" : "80",

Cards run at 60-63c, 0% rejects, and combine WU of .139-.145/m

This is looking like a sweet spot  Wink Do you want to do a summary? the thread is getting a little long, and this is really useful stuff.

I dumped some of your previous settings into my 3x R9 290 Tri-x cards (phm sgminer 4-1-0) and get this:

Will give these updated settings a go tomorrow.

hum, your setting -I 21
your screen -I 18

hahaha

That's not my screen.  I posted those configs and they stand accurate.  coins101 used some of my settings and took that screen to show that they had helped.  He obviously tweaked them slightly to his liking.  Did you try them?

From what i know this is an issue for bitcoin, refusing innovation, well look at casettes, cds and so on.
 LOL. If they dont want to touch their multi billion dollar construct osmethign else will take lead just as apple over blackberry, and see blackberry now. ugh , i need some sleep - fast.
