2221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: A long term investor here, thinking about adding RoLLBit Token on: June 02, 2023, 06:45:37 PM
The point in investments is where to get the right profits and casino tokens are not a good investment choice since they are created for the purpose of incentive anything other than that, will lead to grave devaluation that will lead investors to lose since casino tokens can't be called an asset, but a utility that is why some of them have a stable fixed price and are only used on the casino.

Investing in a casino token is not too bad because the casino too need investors and also needs people to use their token so they can be more popular in the ecosystem. They can also make profit from there too. If we talk about risk then nobody can invest in any coin or token because risk is part of human action. As some commentators said it is risk to invest in casino token, I don't believe that because risk is everywhere. And also if a casino token is listed in any exchange then the investor can also make use of it at anytime.
Regarding investing in casino tokens for me I don't really think about it because I'm also a gambler so when I invest a little money to buy a token like RLB and hold it on the Rollbit site even though the price drops I can still use it to bet.
In fact everything I experienced came true buying some RLB holding it on the Rollbit site and I used it to play the lottery and finally after the RLB price reduction made me happier because I didn't think too much about the RLB price but it pumped up to 100%.
So for me investing in gambling tokens there is no need to use large amounts of money just use small amounts that can be enjoyed when the price dumps.

I think the platform has all of the leverages to their advantage by releasing this token. First, they get to have a token that they can make money on as people invest and buy it and second, since the token can be used on their platform and it has value, they can just sell it somewhere and still make a profit while the gambler who wants to gamble more uses their token. It's a win-win situation for the platform, not so much for the gambler especially if he/she doesn't know self-control at all.
2222  Economy / Economics / Re: You are not prepared what's coming quick analytics exacly of situation on: June 02, 2023, 10:13:17 AM
That money has to go somewhere. If the West and the East loses their money in wars and other economic moves to disadvantage the other, that money they expend will be going towards those who produces the gears of these wars. No one will really lose that money in the long run, it will just be redistributed, and with it comes a power that these two huge entities are holding on for the longest of time.

I think by now, many people know that a recession is coming, but not sure when. We have had scenarios before that are even more grave than what we have right now, but still that didn’t lead to anything significantly bad.
2223  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: June 01, 2023, 11:36:50 PM

We are in the single elimination bracket stage in IEM Dallas 2023. Heroic and ENCE are the winners of the upper finals in their groups. There are going to be Astralis v MOUZ and G2 v FaZe matchups in the quarter-finals to determine the opponents of Heroic and ENCE. I think MOUZ can eliminate Astralis. Because we don't have the old Astralis anymore. They are quite vulnerable and MOUZ are a strong team to deal with them. G2 v FaZe is actually a matchup that is like a final series in a big tournament.

G2 have a pretty solid head-to-head history against them recently though. I feel like they will be one step ahead once again and win by a score like 2-1. I think the name of the grand final will be Heroic v G2 as well.

G2 vs FaZe, I'd go with G2. These guys are performing quite well recently and you're right, their H2H against FaZe is good, but you can never know when FaZe would do their thing wherein they can drop the current best teams to earn themselves a spot.

I'm keen on seeing a FaZe vs ENCE matchup to see whether the boys at ENCE can still floor FaZe right now. They're a strong team that always goes under the radar and only becomes hot in the middle of the tournament, but this time around they are the ones who are dictating the tempo of the games. If G2 wins the match, it will be leaning more towards G2 IMO, but who knows.
2224  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you use a VPN on a casino, even if it is not allowed in their ToS? on: June 01, 2023, 09:16:01 PM
It's already explicitly stated that it is not allowed. I would not dare risk it, and would just abide by the rules. Honestly, it's better for me to not play for a few days or weeks at most rather than get myself banned for the most obvious reason. It's not worth it to continue playing with a VPN even if I know the repercussions directly. There's literally no guarantee that I will win in my gambling session anyways, nor are there any incentive in me playing against the rules so why would I do it?

I'd only break that rule with VPN if I am sure that I will get something big on that day and I have the guts to never look back on the same platform that I will get banned on.
2225  Economy / Gambling / Re: is KYC data on Gambling sites safe? on: June 01, 2023, 06:35:36 PM
As we know, many gambling sites have Kyc requirements when making withdrawals. Some people may not have a problem with this condition, but some people think differently about doing Kyc. Some people refuse to fill in their Kyc data for fear of being misused. That's a natural thing, but is the worry too much?

Kyc actually has a function to prevent dangerous actions, such as money laundering. In addition, Kyc can also protect customers from account breakers.

Now there are several gambling sites that do not require Kyc to withdraw funds. That's good news. But I don't know if big money withdrawal need Kyc or not. I've never withdrawn much money.

Are you one of those who agree or refuse to fill out kyc on gambling sites? So far, the Kyc that you have filled in on the gambling site is safe? I've never had a problem with the Kyc that I filled out at the gambling site. Have you ever felt cheated from Kyc submitted?
I will answer your topic title first that for me there is no guarantee that it is safe to sacrifice KYC on online sites even if it is gambling.
Henceforth I will answer that it all depends on each person they want to do KYC on gambling sites.
I myself did KYC on only a few gambling sites that I considered safe because the casino's reputation and trust has been recognized by many people and I will refuse KYC if the site is new and doesn't have good trust or reputation.

All casinos will always have the tendency to screw things up when it comes to KYC. Data breaches are occurring regularly and even huge companies with robust security systems are affected. I guess, putting trust to these platforms isn't the key but rather just providing information that you are rather comfortable in sharing. If you aren't a high roller, there isn't a reason to comply to a higher KYC requirements. Level 1 or level 2 would suffice for a long time and it wouldn't even be required most of the time.
2226  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: F1 Formula Sports Racing - Sportsbet.io promotions & discussion thread on: June 01, 2023, 09:24:56 AM
F1 and their fans are saying that was one of the best qualifying sessions many have witnessed when Verstappen dropped a beat from those hearts who were thinking either Alonso or Ocon were going to go pole. But the flying dutch man served up to his name with a 0.084 of a second better lap.
Formula Addict did a 3D rendering of that lap showing Alonso and Verstappen's cars if they were running together on an overlay of the track.
Verstappen's historic lap at Monaco: How did he beat Alonso? | 3D Analysis

Also from F1 Interest live side-by-side comparisons of this historic run by both drivers.
Verstappen vs Alonso Lap Comparsion - Monaco 2023
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GT7RdeS5HOc

I enjoyed these videos. Goes to show how close these guys are when it comes to picking a line to do their turns and a slight variance in that may result to a fraction of a second difference in time. Also shows how agressive the RB19 is when it comes to corners and how well Verstappen is using that to his advantage. Dude’s a beast with a beast of a car. Before, I think it will be a long, boring season seeing how OP RB19 is. Turns out, I just need to know how Verstappen is really using the car for me to be hooked up to watching it again.
2227  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin price is always affected by world market news, why ??? on: May 30, 2023, 11:59:45 PM
Traders are just capitalizing on whatever news they can get. They are making a big fuss on it and are trying to stimulate the market into that news to make money. Even if it seems completely unrelated to whatever asset you are handling, they will still try to connect the dots to it and make you believe that it will affect the asset that you're handling. That has been the way for years way even before bitcoin existed, so I am no longer really surprised that the world news affects bitcoin in some way.
2228  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which New Technology will be adopted by the Gambling Industry? on: May 30, 2023, 11:42:53 PM
These will be adopted for sure, especially in the user experience and the security of the casino. AR/VR is certainly something that will be interesting especially its development on the deployment of smooth gaming experience to their users. As for the AI, it can be used in a lot of things in terms of security and the flow of processes within the casino. Give it more time and developments on this space for gambling will push through. I'd rather wait for these developments for some time rather than use a platform that is half-baked.
2229  Economy / Gambling / Re: is KYC data on Gambling sites safe? on: May 30, 2023, 11:08:07 PM
Depends on which site you're submitting your KYC info to. Most of the time, casinos that are requesting these information are already registered and in contact with the government, so at least you know that you will have something to chase whenever something goes wrong. I wouldn't really trust these platforms 100% though, as there is always a risk of leaked information even though they themselves are not the ones leaking the information in the first place. Perhaps just pass the basic KYC and that's it.
2230  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will You Allow To Undergo Hypnosis If A Professional Recommend To Cure Gambling on: May 30, 2023, 10:01:12 PM
Hypnosis is medically proven treatment. The effectiveness of this treatment can't be evaluated. It is more of a stress reliever therapy that could help with anxiety, fear, smoking, pain etc. How this turns to be effective with gambling cure needs to be understood. Various types of hypnotizing treatments were there. These treatments have got after effects that keeps the person under dizziness, headache and upsets as they forget some incidents. My choice of giving a try with hypnosis therapy happens once after taking few trials of making myself get out of the addiction. In simple, when we're ready to give up gambling through hypnosis why can't we do it of our own.

It may be a proven treatment, but it's not an exact science just yet because its effects cannot be replicated regularly. If they can come up with a clear study about the effects of it then perhaps they can use it on treating gambling addicts gradually, though right now it’s still smokes and mirrors. Behavior wise, I don’t think it’s possible to accomplish anything with hypnosis at this moment, though it’s a promising field so long as they find a way to consistently post same results consistently.
2231  Economy / Economics / Re: Will chatgpt really destroy the job market? on: May 29, 2023, 11:59:52 PM
ChatGPT can be used to improve the quality of your job while you have it, then maybe you can shift your career into something related to AI maintenance and management and you will be fine. There's no doubt that AI breakthroughs will surely render a lot of jobs operated by humans 'useless', but at least while you're at it you can make your life easier while also trying to learn other industries to which you can transfer when all of this development about AI is said and done.

At the current state of ChatGPT, it's not a threat, but rather more of a tool that can help current jobs.
2232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: May 29, 2023, 11:34:19 PM
The Dota 2 DPC SA Tour 1 match still has 3 matches and for Bleed vs Boom it has started but for the first round it has not been resolved but it looks like later Bleed will win this match.
The other two matches are still underway in a few hours and I'm trying to bet wins on Bleed, Tundra as well as Gaimin Gladiators.
It's been a long time since I not to bet on Dota tournaments and now I'm trying again, who knows luck might be on my side.
Congrats, speaking of Tundra. 33 has got a sentiment that if they qualify for the Bali major, he may not be able to participate as he'll get some visa issues. Why? Because he's an Israeli and Indonesian government doesn't recognize Israel as a state and that means he may get his visa application rejected if they'll qualify which is very likely. And if that happens, they will get a stand-in and whoever that could be will change the gameplay of Tundra. It's so hard to win these games and yet they've been battling against these visa applications and issues. That's the main antagonist for every major that's happening for most of the teams.
Yes, thanks buddy.
But if Tundra can ask for consideration and is willing to make several requests, maybe there will be a solution regarding visas to be able to come to Indonesia because this is a game competition so it doesn't trigger many people to arrive there.
After all, there will surely be the best way or solution to solve problems regarding visas.
They can't just ask consideration for it. They'll be asking the Indonesian government to do such with 33's visa but with their history together with Israel, all I can say is that they're not in good terms and that's why there's nothing 33 and Tundra can do to this.
Let's just hope for the best for 33 and his team if ever they're qualified to go to Bali but that's much likely that they'll qualify. And if application of visa for 33 don't work, they'll have to look for another stand-in and I think that might be resolution as the stand-in of all time. LOL.  Grin

True. If the Indonesian government makes an exception with 33, a lot of questions will arise and issues will certainly prevail. The Indonesian government is known to not change their stance on things that easily, and it will take a lot more than a Dota major for them to budge even a little. Hopefully they get a stand-in that can match 33's tempo and creativity in the game. That guy is a great offlaner and there's not a lot of players out there that can come to his level at this current meta.
2233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will You Allow To Undergo Hypnosis If A Professional Recommend To Cure Gambling on: May 29, 2023, 09:33:46 PM
Hypnosis up to now is not a 100% exact science. There are some evidences that it works, although there are still a lot of evidence against it. It still isn't a clearly defined method in psychology although a lot of practitioners are starting to integrate it on some of their practice. If it is already something that is proven effective and recognized in the scientific community, I'd gladly sign up if it means that I'll be receiving help for my addiction. It may not be a 100% cure, but it's a step towards the right direction, at least.
2234  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you handle long shot bets? on: May 29, 2023, 06:44:08 PM
I feel you. You get fired up knowing that you have spent some time and your money isn't going anywhere then you decided to go and do a high bet with high odds thinking that you got all the bases covered. it happens to the best of us, and it's something that is quite common to a lot of gamblers even though they have developed a solid mindset about this thing.

Personally, I just leave for a while and try to do something else to divert my attention from gambling. That way, I don't stress out that much in making money and help me do decisions that aren't as sketchy as opposed to when I'm trying to chase some wins. It's more on your mindset and how strong you are mentally, and it's not easy to develop and maintain it specially if you became too used to doing that for a long time.
2235  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why do you still want to play fake web2 casinos? Why we choose web3 casinoso on: May 29, 2023, 01:32:45 PM
I think the answer is fairly simple: web3 casinos aren’t that polished just yet and web2 platforms simply work. If you can point out an example of a web3 casino that works flawlessly that doesn’t have any issues with law enforcement, then that would be great and we might as well try. That’s another reason why Web3 platforms aren’t as popular: they have potential issues with governments due to their nature that’s why people wouldn’t dare risk it.
2236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crazy Sports Betting Idea on: May 29, 2023, 01:42:36 AM
If this was way back a few years ago, there’d be a market for this Grin

While it is not completely a sports thing but rather a management-related one, fans can still enjoy betting on who leaves next based on the team’s performance so in a way, it is somehow predictable. It may not be as sure as player transfers and whatnot but the grounds on which manager goes next is still there and gamblers just need to make sure that they hit the right predictions.

But yeah, the market for this will be very low though it’s a good idea still.
2237  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An Intriguing article: How to Perfect Your Gambling Strategy on: May 28, 2023, 07:12:19 PM
No matter how well put a strategy is, if variance and luck is a huge factor in that game, it will never work. I don't think you can really get a useful advice from winners of dice at all. They might just be justifying their wins by recounting the scenario and adding some details on how they win the bet, and make it sound like they know that they're going to win from he get-go. While that's the case, the rest of the advice is pretty solid and puts any gambler in a position wherein they are ready to accept losses and move on from it. But then again, if people want to make some money, gambling isn't clearly the best way to do it. Even the top tier players in a lot of gambling games still suffer huge losses from time to time.
2238  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: May 28, 2023, 06:53:18 PM
Again it was a very boring race. I don't even feel like following Formula 1 anymore. It's predetermined who will win each race. It's not that exciting to watch the fight for second and third place. I wonder if the F1 organization is not bothered by the falling ratings?
I watched today's race but didn't enjoy it at all. I said maybe rain will change things, but that didn't happen either. I probably wouldn't waste my time watching the next races. Unless something unusual happens, the champion is already clear. There is nothing in the name of competition.

This is why I'm more concerned about the teams building the cars rather than the drivers who are driving these cars. Once a team figures out what works best in their car that can edge out any other car in the tournament, the driver is basically set for the rest of the season and all he needs to do is drive normally and not fuck things up. Red Bull just made one hell of a car and it shows, that even the second best team in the tournament is still lagging behind by a lot in F1 standards. the rain could have brought in more action, but unfortunately not much of interesting things happened in the race hence why Red Bull just claimed that top spot so easily.
2239  Economy / Economics / Re: Does Banks really manipulates us? on: May 27, 2023, 06:03:55 PM
banks understand financial matters and various industries, they are smart in managing finances. I don't feel manipulated by the banks, but indeed some elite people who monopolize world trade are making financial damage even more, even the corruption rate in several countries is one of the reasons why inflation continues. the bank is not completely wrong, at least it helps us to store our assets much easier than we save them ourselves.

Just think of the sheer amount of people they are trying to screw over in order to make profit. Does that sound "not completely wrong" to you? They literally are just a group of people given the right permit by the government to borrow other people's money to make a profit. They are just "licensed borrrowers" that happens to have connections on investments to make more money. Plus, they are lending out money that are entrusted to them with interests, which is unfair but somehow in a business perspective it's perfectly fine and no one dare bat an eye.

Banks may be doing something for the people in terms of investments, asset safekeeping and all that, but their actions behind the scenes to make money are mostly unethical, but that's okay since they are doing something good.
2240  Economy / Economics / Re: Deposits-in the bank or in gold? on: May 26, 2023, 11:59:46 PM
choosing to invest in gold is very obvious. gold will be a high exchange rate in the future it is said that gold does not experience inflation like currency because of the scarcity to get it. I always save gold every time I get profits from crypto investments. compared to the bank, I prefer trading and then make gold as a long term. I think that's the best way to maintain and develop assets for the long term.

If retaining value over time is what you are looking to do, gold is always the better option. Fiat will always lose its value due to a lot of factors, most notably inflation. Whereas in gold, people will always buy it and keep it, and industries will always have use for it. It just keeps on getting more scarce over time that its value is practically guaranteed to go up. Other precious metals can also be considered, too. But then again, gold is the easiest to access and remains to be the most popular precious metal that people know.
