22241  Other / Meta / Re: Are patrollers still a thing? on: August 07, 2018, 12:00:36 PM
But they don't do that, they wont go to threads to clean the forum.
There's no point fighting spambots one post at a time.
22242  Other / Meta / Re: Are patrollers still a thing? on: August 07, 2018, 11:38:59 AM
I propose the forum to do the following, pay $5 per day to ten forum members reporting more than 1000 good reports per month. pick ten people and pay them a total $1,500 to have them reporting 10,000 good reports.
That's a terrible incentive. It's very easy to report 1000 posts on the altcoin boards. Even if you do it without reading, at least 95% is spam so you'll hit 95% accuracy.
Reports like that aren't useful, the Mod could just as well go through a random altcoin thread on his own.

Let me put it this way: I report spammers for free Cheesy
22243  Other / Meta / Re: Seeking reporter badge images on: August 07, 2018, 11:24:30 AM
Logging in to the forum and watching this thread. I am worried if this has been mentioned by the others, because I can not read all replies in this thread, but, how do you guys think if the user's report counts reset at a certain time? I suggest this because if this idea that we are talking about will give some benefit/merit/feature to a user, then they will stop after they reach at a certain level. Well i believe some will stop after they reach some level even if they dont have a benefit/merit/feature by reporting the spam except the badge.
If you're only reporting posts for a badge, and not because you hate spam on the forum, you're doing it for the wrong reasons.
Adding a higher ranking badge would be a better solution if you want people to be challenged again.

Repaying 17$ in 2 days
Giving 18$ BCH as a collateral
Let me know if you can fill that request
I can do this, if you can specify the amounts "in crypto" instead of in dollars.

Update after reading your post history and trust feedback: I see you made this thread today: [H]18$ BCH [W]15$BTC.
Since you're willing to sell the collateral, this would be a better deal. No repayments, I'll sell it instantly.

Got 0.026 BCH
If you send 0.026 Bitcoin Cash to 1Cv2a1CY7AKmmuUz5Mt7LXxz4mApMFtao8, I'll send you 0.00215 Bitcoin.
Post your Bitcoin address after sending the Bitcoin Cash.
This will not be a loan, this will be a trade. After both transactions are confirmed, you can lock this thread.
22247  Other / Meta / Re: how to delete my account here? on: August 07, 2018, 05:05:23 AM
There is no chance to delete your account. If you do not  want to run it then just change your password and email then automatically you will loss your access.
After changing the email address, you'll receive a link to lock the account. That should do the trick.

Commit grave nukeable offenses and the mods might be able to help you out.
That won't work, only Newbies can be nuked, and Mods aren't going to manually delete 1000+ posts.

What's interesting, is that OP wants to disappear after making this post:
hitlary agents run the place nowadays... that's why everyone left, and done too it should be.

xoxo 4 the motherland.

ps they will get killed... don't worry... they want to rape russia after having almost finished the usa... and as russians aren't interested in capitulating or surrendering... expect more action.

who do you think is more powerful in covert warfare? a group of pedo terrorists false flaggers who have to waste a lot of energy protecting their past crimes or the team of the greatest leaders that russia ever had ? even with the worst russian leaders those pedo wouldn't stand a chance once the machine start... let's say we are cruising safely.... they are nothing... 10k kills and they are done. nothing.

and what can they do? attack the kremlin and take over russia? first strikes? they are let alive because they are destroying the usa and can't touch russia anymore.

and don't forget, you aren't a chosen people of god, like most american have been brainwashed to believe of a certain tribe infected by central asians terrorists (those the wall was build against to be precise).

will american cog wake up or do they prefer to take part in underage sex slaves rituals in private outpost across the world? by november we will be definitely fixed on that... will they be exectuted or protected with again a false hope: this time in 2020...

yes we can... lol.

no they can't.

a few pedo can take the entire us gov over, and they wanna mess with Russia? they didn't took an inch more than allowed in novo russia, crimea and else... what ever their attempts... because ultimately russian forces fight to not end up like american forces, ie to see their daughters being raped on private island by what americans call "gods".
I don't think there's any vaccinations against this Cheesy
22248  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: An Issue About My Transaction on: August 06, 2018, 09:48:24 PM
I should have taken around 0.0200 BTC, but when I check my electrum it looks like I got 0.0215 mBTC from that transaction
That means whoever should have sent you the funds, didn't send you enough. I assume bc1qsuyn3l59ltzg6rkdskr8xaqfhhlhwsrxumzfdj is your address, and the other two addresses aren't yours.

All you can do now, is contact the person who should have paid you.
22249  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Consolidating Unspent Transaction Outputs on: August 06, 2018, 09:24:40 PM
Consolidating your inputs while fees are low should definitely not be ignored, especially if you are receiving a lot of small payments.
1 sat/B transactions do get confirmed pretty quick currently. But make sure to have the RBF-flag set to increase the fee in case of an unexpected spam attack.
Never crossed my mind actually. Great tip. It makes sense that if I'm consolidating, then I'm not in a hurry (to make the transaction) so I can afford to pay low fee.
I opened this thread in January: Fees are low, use this opportunity to Consolidate your small inputs!
22250  Economy / Securities / Re: LoyceV's Legendary 10 Month 10 Person 10 Altcoin Investment Experiment: ROUND 2 on: August 06, 2018, 08:50:42 PM
I've updated the OP. The most important change:
I want to spread the funds over 3 exchanges, and leave them on there for 10 months.
I now have accounts on these exchanges:
  • Bittrex (years old, verified earlier this year)
  • Binance (opened today, not yet verified, but it says I can withdraw anyway)
  • Poloniex (opened today, already verified).

I give up on installing 10 different wallets on an offline system. I don't have the time to set this up properly in a reasonable amount of time.
Therefore, I ask everybody who joined already to agree to the new terms. Please post here if you disagree, I'll remind you all when I post the deposit addresses. If you deposit, I assume you agreed Cheesy

Two things need to be changed before I post deposit addresses (I'll PM Timelord2067):
9. Steamtyme, RVN, https://crypto-bridge.org, 34NBWDpbhx1pWFNM9hUBngANq8UJCreTHT
Wallet instructions can be found in the Ann OP.
Can you choose a coin that's listed on at least one of the 3 exchanges mentioned above? Crypto-bridge sounds too unknown to trust for 10 months.

10. Timelord2067, SXC SexCoin, cryptopia.co.nz, 1GaLLifreynEg6456XqDKYJYyBmyY2cJbw
Download the wallet at https://sexcoinforum.com/ (links to various platforms ) + paperwallet at https://paperwallet.sexcoin.info/, install in a Linux VM, and back it up.
Can you choose a coin that's listed on at least one of the 3 exchanges mentioned above? I don't want to trust Cryptopia for 10 months (and the 24h Volume is very low: only $100 to $1000).
22251  Other / Meta / Re: Most active user / Board on: August 06, 2018, 08:41:58 PM
That's not something a user can produce. It requires scraping all posts, which is too much considering the 1 request per second limitation.

22253  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetKing.io -50BTC Jackpot-30BTC max bet! faucet- 25% rakeback. BTC,ETH,LTC DICE on: August 06, 2018, 08:17:49 PM
As much as I love the drama in this thread, let's stick to the facts. Here are some facts to consider:

1.
Because the ICO description divides the total bankroll value of $ 6,500,000 with only 70,000,000 BKB tokens leading to the value of $ 0.09286 per token.

Whereas if you divide the $ 6,500,000 total bankroll value with 100,000,000 BKB, the value is only $ 0,065 per token!
I've raised this question here on June 23, 2017. It was answered 3 posts lower:
I don't end up short. The buy back price is tied to the current bankroll profit. I'm committing to buying back at least 10% of tokens every 3 months.
The site will be making profit in that time and it will be the profit that is used to buy back the tokens.

2.
What investors were not told was that those 30 million tokens were going to be part of the "profit" distribution
That's not true, it was explained:
The total funds raised will determine the price per BetKing Bankroll token. We will take the total value of all funds at the current exchange rate at the end of the crowdsale to determine the total raised funds.E.g. If we raised $1,000,000 then the price per token would be $0.014 (1,000,000 / 70,000,000).

The buy back price offered by BetKing will be based on the current total bankroll profit. So for example if the price of the token at the end of the crowdsale was $0.014 and the bankroll profit was $1,000,000 then the buy back price would be $0.024 (1,000,000/100,000,000 + 0.014).

3.
~ you can buy BKB directly on BetKing with 25% discount
https://betking.io/invest
At the first page of the BKB Crowdsale thread, Dean told me this wouldn't happen.
My question:
Will the tokens that are bought back by BetKing be re-sold again at some point, or are they off the market forever?
Dean's answer (archived):
They won't be re-sold no.
22254  Economy / Securities / Re: LoyceV's Legendary 10 Month 10 Person 10 Altcoin Investment Experiment: ENDED on: August 06, 2018, 07:51:41 PM
Could be more promising to start round 2 immediately lol.
I won't try to time the market, so I'll start when it's all ready. It shouldn't take much longer.

I'm sure we all knew the risk of alts, and personally am prepared to lose everything in an experiment. As OgNasty says too, we generally know what to expect with USD gains and BTC losses.
I've always said altcoins (and later ICOs and Forkcoins) were only created to give the creator more Bitcoins. Long term that still seems to be true.
Around the start of 2017, on the other hand, many altcoins went up 10x to 100x. I also think that was a one-time thing.

Quote
Just a shame about the timing. But we're all free to go on and buy our chosen alts and hold on to those anyway (which is probably what I'll do, beef up a few more PPC Wink
I hadn't thought of that yet. It sounds like a good idea, although I'm still holding enough GBYTE (which continues dropping until now).
I'll leave this topic open, it would be nice to post here when you're back at 0.01BTC again.
22255  Other / Meta / Re: Are patrollers still a thing? on: August 06, 2018, 03:36:47 PM
It won't be an inconvenience at all IMO. Imagine 20-30 users patrolling at all times. Their posts would get approved in minutes instead of hours which isn't the case with other forums.
If I look at patrol, I'd reject (almost) all of them. I've never been able to read that page long enough to find a post worth meriting, I usually give up when I find one worth banning.
There are enough Newbie posts to fill several full-time jobs, working in shifts around the clock. I don't think that's something anyone would want to do for long.
22256  Other / Meta / Re: [TOP-200] The most generous users giving merits on: August 06, 2018, 10:49:16 AM
42 Merit points in one single transaction sent to i7claufe by Legendary Member roslinpl for this shitty post?
See this Reputation thread: why 42 merits for bounty hunter for this case.
22257  Economy / Reputation / Re: LoyceV's reputation thread (with a guestion for the community) on: August 06, 2018, 08:57:04 AM
Thanks for sharing so many opinions already, it's much appreciated.
I like how there's more or less consensus not to respond with red trust. This answers my question, I'll just ignore the weird unexplained red trust I got.

In regards to your positive trust policy, I would suggest that you not give a positive rating for every transaction you are involved in. If you risked money in a transaction (intentionally or not), you should leave a positive rating. If you have traded with someone many times (either directly or as an escrow agent), and the person acts professional and otherwise appears trustworthy, you may want to consider leaving a positive rating— you need to use good judgment in these cases, and you should be confident this person is not trading with you to get a trust rating.
I agree with this; the people who took part in your 10 person experiment did not do anything notably trustworthy.
I thought about this, and will explain my reasoning:
  • I've seen hilariousandco leave trust "Paid and participating in the BitcoinTalk Premier League betting pool." to a dozen users in a smiliar thing, and I've seen minerjones leave for example this feedback: "Won auction, paid directly. Good communication. Thanks!!"
Since I'm new to leaving positive DT-trust, I used these users as my main example.
  • I've read more discussion about whether or not DT should leave positive trust after deals, and the opinions seemed to vary. The trust I left shows "Risked BTC amount 0", which is supposed to be used to weigh the trust.
  • All people involved joined before I was put on DT. My plan (from the start) was to leave trust afterwards, just like I did to the people who (last year) joined my airdrop sharing service for 3 months in a row (I didn't leave trust for people who joined 1 or 2 months only). I probably won't do it again after ROUND 2, as I don't want people to join just to earn DT-trust.
Would I have left the positive trust to them if I would have started this thread earlier? I'm not sure now. But I do know I don't want to remove it now either.
22258  Other / Meta / Re: Theymos, what did you do? The hompgraphs are gone like overnight?! on: August 06, 2018, 08:24:46 AM
If it wasn't you, then all those accounts were controlled by one person or a group and they change the style of the bots.
I think only a very small number of people is involved in the big business of "bump bots", charging up to $1000 per thread per week. Many spambots changed to text spinners and later homograph attacks at the same time. That's quite stupid, as it made them easier to recognize. I have some hope that we made a big dent in their supply of fresh spam accounts, and that's why they keep changing their pattern.
I don't know what their latest pattern is though, but I'd like to continue hitting them.

BTW, the main blocker for me taking action was that I never got around to compiling the table of homographic characters and their ASCII counterparts. If this crops up again, it'd be helpful if someone would compile a nice plaintext "<char_from> -> <char_to>" table.
Homograph attacks are easy to get them banned. I've reported many of those accounts, saying: "Spambot/bumpbot doing a homograph attack. Please nuke.". That worked very well!
Since there isn't any legit use for homograph attacks, changing them back into normal text turns it back into plagiarism at best. Would it be possible to use "homograph attack" as <char_to>?
Example: "vеrу" would turn into: "vhomograph attackrhomograph attack".

OK, we will try to assemble a table but in the meantime, can we just add them to the rules? So if we spot some just directly report them without trying to find a solid proof of plagiarisms?
There are only "unofficial rules", which can be bend by the Mods. Judging by the accounts that got nuked after reporting them, Mods already take action against it.
22259  Other / Meta / Re: iMusify Bounty Thread - Mass Cleanup required over bot replys from newbie accoun on: August 06, 2018, 08:16:27 AM
Now, I randomly checked many profiles here where the reply was deleted, though these are potential bot/spam accounts and the accounts still exist, is there a way for mass reporting all these accounts to nuke?
Going after individual posts on the altcoin board is more or less a lost fight. I sometimes create long lists of accounts that are most likely spambots, and once in a while a Mod goes after them and bans hundreds of those.
When I report individual posts made by spambots, I add a description asking for them to be nuked. That works most of the time.
22260  Other / Meta / Re: How recognized are you in the bitcointalk world? on: August 06, 2018, 06:15:22 AM
For your next project how about a ranking list based on the cumulative number of their thread views? Would be interesting to see who has racked up the most thread views.
Having many thread views isn't necessarily a good thing, this would put the creators of Spam Megathreads and threads spammed with Bump Bots on top.
