I am not certain how the boxing experts like in the forum assess Beterbiev, however, considering only the skills, should he be included in the top 10 pound for pound best boxers? He should be included, I reckon. What is your assessment, @Boafeng?

For sure, he should at least crack the top 10 by now, but let's see how those boxing analyst will put Arthur on their next listing.

And speaking of Beterviev, his fight with Smith is not PPV, but interesting numbers:

Quote
The June 18 edition of Top Rank Boxing on ESPN fired on all cylinders, including a main event where an average of 912,000 viewers tuned in for Beterbiev’s second-round, technical knockout of Joe Smith Jr. Beterbiev defended his unified lineal/WBC/IBF light heavyweight championship while violently snatching Smith’s WBO title in Saturday’s headliner at Madison Square Garden’s Hulu Theater in New York City.

https://www.boxingscene.com/beterbiev-smith-main-event-drew-average-audience-912000-viewers-on-espn--167128

So I guess that's a good numbers for that fight. Maybe Beterviev's next will surely headline a PPV event. Maybe Arum is just testing the waters for this one. ESPN and Top Rank should consider him as a good PPV fighters now.

Who will be next for Beterbiev? If I was the promoter it should be against Dmitry Bivol for the undisputed light heavyweight championship. All fans of all types of sport will watch it, it will create millions in profit for the fighters, the sponsors and the promoters. However, I am quite certain this will not happen hehe. I am not certain why boxing promoters are like this. It might only be organized when they are old, very much similar to Amir Khan vs. Kell Brook or Mayweather vs. Pacman.

Organizing it in later years will only put Beterbiev at the disadvantage corner, better let them get in the same ring while their skills and talent are still reap and it's fun to watch if both boxers are still on their primes. If the fight would materialize then for sure, that would be full-packed fight as well as the PPV revenues but I think Bob Arum is not ready to risk his best boxers yet especially Beterbiev who had a 100% KO rate with no losses. Unfortunately, Beterbieve will just grow old without getting a chance to be an undisputed boxer just like Crawford's career, might as well follow the latter's footstep like getting out of Tap Rank and be a free agent to get his much wanted fight.

So what really happen with Calvin Abueva?

The words JAPAN! JAPAN! JAPAN! and BYE PBA! that's big, is here serious with that, and will soon leave the PBA for JAPAN?

He was really frustrated because he thought there should be no call, but the words coming from his mouth, it simply tells that he is not 100% happy playing with the PBA.

That was just a burst of emotion after he was called for his second technical foul which led to him being ejected from the game.

There is a news article now saying that Calvin Abueva is suspended by one game and fined 10k Php for that outrage hehe, does he deserve that suspension?

Maybe playing in Japan will earn him more money but it is just different when you are playing at home and near to your family which I think some of the players are thinking is why some of them did not pursue their Japan journey.
.

If Calvin wants to join in Japan B-league then one thing I can say that's a good choice joining that league for sure you gain more advantages first the salary which is if you have a practical mindset you will choose the high-value amount of salary, second is that joining this kind of league will make you more veteran cause you've encountered many veteran players which you must be smarter and better than them to prove that you will be a star. But besides that advantages, there's a disadvantage as well and that's the reason why some players choose PBA over another league, for now let's wait for the final announcement by the PBA and also from calvin.

He say before when he get suspended on PBA that he want to comeback because he need money for his family so if there's an offer for him on B-League for sure Calvin would accept that offer. The salary on japan is so huge compare on PBA and he's not young anymore so getting more money while his still can play is the best choice for him.
He was offered but I don't know if he's still getting offered recently, the last time I know was that he turned down an offer from Thailand and Japan because he wanted to bring his talent in PBA and that time, he was still tied with Phoenix so it's not like he does have an option to bite those offers. Recently he made some remarks about Japan so I guess he still got some offered to play overseas and maybe this time he will.
2243  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tips on How to Manage Gambling Addiction an Open Discussion. on: June 23, 2022, 05:49:24 PM
A self confessed gambling addict is shy to expose himself and go near to his relatives and family to admit that he's got it. I agree about talking to your family about this and it's like a close discussion that won't ever go out.

You know that family is the first one to think of in every single problem that you're dealing with and they're the first ones to help you out to get out of that addiction and to give you tip on what you must do with their accordance.

Naturally, a gambling addict will be shy enough to admit that he's too deep and badly need some help, so ofcourse nobody would be proud about that even if that's an addict. The first challenging part right there is to find some good time when and where to open up about his problems, you know family would always extend their hand if they wanted to but expect that there would be some hefty words from their mouth as it's also natural for them to react that way.

Im buying now good amount , seems bottom reached , BUT i will keep 50% in cash in case bitcoin goes down further .

Im planning to buy btc price around: 19500$ at the time of writting .

Its DONE !

keep 50% of my money in cash in case it goes more down and get good average to put orders like this :

25% @ 15,000$

25% at 11,000$

will have a good average price

Great strategy, I'm not sure if bitcoin will still bottom but you being able to buy bitcoin below $20k, that's already a great buying price, it's very cheap as bitcoin dump below it's 2 past ATH already and therefore it should be considered a great buying price.

if bitcoin will reach $11k which is unlikely, that's another luck on your part as for sure bitcoin will bounce back in time and will hit a new ATH again.
2245  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your NBA Champion this season? on: June 20, 2022, 12:05:54 PM

I want to see Wiseman, a lot has been expecting on him, so let's see how he will does if he gets the chance to play next season. He and Kuminga could be the next one to carry the torch for the Warriors although they are built very different from their core of Curry, Thompson and Green. We've seen Moody as well, very good in penetrating the line and this kid has good potential as well.

It's too early for these players, as long as Curry is still carrying the team, they will just be limited. Warriors will continue to be the number 1 team because the big 3 has proven to us that they are still the same Warriors who dominate their opponent. There's no way for this team but to improve, Curry is already exceptional, he just needs his teammates to be better.

For me him boarding the plan and going back to the Philippines is a sign that he wants to play and sign the re-negotiation of his contract. There's no way that you are willing to fly if he didn't consider his new contract. And as what Lastimosa said, they are just waiting for his signature and for sure it's a win-win situation for both parties.

Great news if he will playback, he's the new Jason Castro of this team, transition from Alapag to Castro and now it's William's term.

Like what you just said, I think there's a good negotiation that happened the very reason why he fly back to Philippines he still interested

to play and help the team, let see if what will be the next update in  regards to this issue, if Mike camp will re-sign the contract and play

or he will fly-back home and look for other options.
What's the reason of playing in the PBA if he will not re sign, for sure TNT will give him a max contract + under the table because he proved he is a superstar and in the first season in the PBA, he already gave them the championship, now it's time for him to enjoy his hardwork.

We have Ginebra vs Magnolia next game.

What's your pick guys? I think I like the Magnolia here, they lose to the TNT and I believe they will bounce back to win.
Right now they are +2.5 but I will take the moneyline, I think it's where public will find Ginebra very attractive but I'll go the other way.

My Pick is Ginebra, this is a never say die team, and I like their team effort. This might be a close game again because Magnolia is also a good team, but 4th quarter  will always be the deciding quarter and I give that advantage to the Gin Kings since they are good in 4th quarter.

Well, let's see if they will have a run to beat the Magnolia here.

Right now, it's Magnolia who are enjoying the lead, but it's only a 1st quarter, there are more quarters to come and let's see if Ginebra will be able to rally like they always do. This game is hard to predict because both are good teams, but I don't like the spread when it's too easy as the other team might win.
End of 2nd quarter already and Magnolia only lead 7 points which we know, is easy to catch up as long as Ginebra will detonate their best plays. I still see a win here for Ginebra despite of the odds, the game is still close and that lead can easily wipe out. We will see that in the last 2 quarters, I do have some bet and I hope Ginebra to tie the game and take the lead, other players should step up right now if they really want to take the win tonight, there's still a big chance for them.

Ginebra still cannot take the lead, Magnolia is still leading now and it's already a 10 point lead. I think this game is not for the Ginebra, Magnolia's energy is all over the court, they will might win this game in a dominant way.

It's either a generational buying opportunity with bitcoin being the most oversold it's ever been,

It's a buying opportunity, it will not be bear market all the time and I think the current price now is already very cheap.
We can make profit in just a short period of time if we have the courage to buy now.
When they are fearful, that's the time to take advantage of the weak hands.

I looked at the OP's post, the odds of the Warriors that time was;

Quote
4- Warriors >8.50

Whoever won that kind of odds is a lucky better, congratulations to you, you also deserve to celebrate because you trusted the Warriors when they were not the favorite to win the championship.

That wasn't luck after all because the chance of Warriors getting into the playoffs and Finals was good. But at that time, it takes enough guts and courage to have that bet as it's still not that sure that they could really get in as the other teams in the league are also good. So, congratulations again OP for having a strong faith for the Golden State Warriors Wink
2251  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ryan Garcia vs Javier Fortuna - July 19 on: June 17, 2022, 08:14:09 PM
Just like the other victim of Garcia maybe except Tagoe, if they engage and toe to toe, they will be destroyed by that left hook, one of the best in this division.

Tagoe chooses to run and survive than go toe to toe against Ryan Garcia, he just wants to protect himself as he knows he has no chance against Garcia. I don't know why that guy fights Garcia when he has no intention to win and to be honest, his record seemed worthless after his performance.

We cannot blame him because Emmanuel Tagoe wasn't the one who called for the fight against Ryan Garcia. It was Oscar De La Hoya who arranged this fight and cherry-picked Tagoe for Garcia as his comeback after his inactivity fighting with his mental issues. We haven't thought that Tagoe will perform like that because we don't know him either, so we based it all by his records and did some speculations that maybe Tagoe might be the guy who will give a hard time against Garcia but we received the opposite of it.
2252  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: June 17, 2022, 05:37:48 PM
I think Curry can break the number of championships Jordan has won.

If remains healthy, he can do that for sure. Curry is only 34 years old, there are plenty of seasons to be played and he just needs to win 3 straight seasons so he can break the record of MJ, and of course, win the finals MVP as well so it would solidify his legacy.

Looking at him, he's not an injury prone type of person as he's more shooting outside safely and when he drives the ball near the paint, he also make it sure to be safe and that's good for him as he have more years ahead of him in this league. He is sure the greatest 3PT shooter, so he need to play it safe every game as the team badly need him too. 3 more championship ring and he can get ahead on Jordan's record and about the Finals MVP, this is his 1st award so he still have a long way ahead.
2253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season - Finals on: June 16, 2022, 07:51:11 PM
Its really bad situation  now for Boston. I cant belive they still lose when Curry put a 0 of 9 in 3 points shoots. Also Wiggins shot 0/7 if i dont remember bad.

The MVP for the finals its always the same, goes to to star of the winning team. I never forget the steal to Manu Ginobili in one finals.

Currently, it's bad for Boston and I don't think they have ever lost back-to-back matches since January, right?

I thought they had a golden chance of winning this match because the Warriors did not have their star players performing really well.
Actually, they have performed badly judging by their standards. But still, Boston managed to lose that match. And it did not look good for Boston, especially in the first half.
They have started really bad and it was quite impossible to make a comeback from that situation.

Well, I cannot honestly confirm nor deny that they haven't lost a back-to-back game since this year has begun but surely they managed to go up the ladder clutching in late regular games towards the playoffs and now the Finals. They still have a chance because the series between them and the Warriors is not over yet, they have a score to settle later.

They can be understood if ever they turn out lost in this Finals series because they are up against the Warriors who became a back-to-back champion years ago with the same line-up and Splash bros while the current Celtics line-up have no experience in Finals nor playoffs.
2254  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your NBA Champion this season? on: June 16, 2022, 07:02:18 PM
Warriors are highly likely the champs and could be done in 6 games. They are a better team in pretty much all aspects. Offense, defense, bench players, player rotations, better coach. The only thing working for the Celtics right now is that they'll be home for the next game. The crowd could play a part into the game.

Surely the Warriors got the advantage in this series even if the game will be held at the Gard later on, they're now down to the best of 3 games and they got the first game in their possession but they shouldn't be complacent as they still have to win one more game and that game will be sure hard. They got almost all aspects needed to win the game and the only thing left is to execute it.
2255  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ryan Garcia vs Javier Fortuna - July 19 on: June 16, 2022, 06:32:42 PM
^^ That is also what we expect of him against Tagoe, win by a knock out but it didn't happen. However, we can't blame Ryan because Tagoe doesn't want to engage.

But in this fight, if Fortuna is willing to go toe to toe with Ryan, he should at least get a knock down. Again, as others have said, he needs to win impressively, to throw out the argument that he still have those mental issues he has, or his mind is not yet committed on boxing 100%.

I actually remember that and I can't refrain myself from laughing a bit about Tagoe because he was so confident and sharp looking at the face-off but when he shared a ring with Ryan Garcia, everything changed after he tasted the latter's punch, he surely knows that this is above his pay grade and he can't exactly beat him so he's gone to survival mode like Rigo. We really expected Tagoe to give Ryan a challenge as he has more experience but it turns out opposite and it's frankly clear that he's just for fighting locally.

Yeah, I guess he was only there for the paycheck but will not allow Garcia to knock him out because of his pride. He simply turtle up and didn't want to engage and obviously in survival mode every round.

Hopefully Fortuna will engage Garcia and push him in this fight so that we will see if Ryan can still fight or the mentally to be a great fighter when facing a boxer that is not afraid of his power. We don't want another Tagoe type of fight for sure.

I understand that Tagoe tried to have a toe-toe-toe fight with Garicas as we saw it in the early rounds but his goal was changed drastically after knowing the intensities of Garcia's punches could bring, we can't blame him though because he tried but it's really clear that Garcia's too much for him even though the kid was still adjusting that time from being inactive.

As for Garcia's foe in his upcoming fight, seems like Fortuna could bring up something that Tagoe could not so let's hope that he can challenge the kid or even push him into corners just to wake up Garcia's true side. I believe the kid is just lacking some push and maybe Fortuna is the right boxer for that.
2256  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA Finals 2022 - Warriors vs Celtics. on: June 16, 2022, 06:12:14 PM
If you haven’t seen this video, it’s from a great local YouTuber. He does lots of great stuff like giving things away to people in need, but he also occasionally makes videos as “fake” Klay Thompson.

https://youtu.be/qtcDSwoxOUw

This video from game 5 got him banned from the Warriors arena for life and cost him to lose $10,000 tickets. Still funny. Check it out and some of his other videos as well.

Yeah, I've seen his videos numerous times, at first I also thought he was the real Klay Thompson and the funny thing is that he is not saying that he's Klay but the way he looks and dresses somehow makes him like the real one. I saw the video yesterday and the dude overstepped his line as he deliberately fooled the employees as he entered the "employees only entrance" and shots some few balls in the court. That what got him banned lifetime in Chase Center.

He is funny but he already violate the rules by pretending to be Klay and doing things Klay are doing in the Chase Center. Banned for lifetime, that's too painful but he has to acccep the consequences of his actions. Anyway, going back to the NBA finals, tomorrow will be a do or die for the Celtics, so it should be fun to watch.

Yes, this should be fun at the crowd in Boston garden are going to be nuts and they don't want their team to lost in their home court and Warriors being crown as the NBA finals, and so this is going to be painful for them. But it's not over yet, Tatum and the Celtics will have to come up big in this game and try to force a game 7. Who knows, maybe they will be the one to make a comeback and a back to back  win.

Expect that because that will likely happen in the game later, TD Garden is ready for their home team as well as the fans who will be there cheering for the Celtics to boost their confidence. Before this series started, some say that this will end in 4-2 at the favor of Warriors, so let's see later if it will end as others speculate but the way I see it, Tatum, Horford and Green will be lethal whether inside or outside together with Smart and the two Williams.
2257  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: June 16, 2022, 05:50:16 PM
I might go with the Celtics home team win, I know that the consensus that the Warriors is going to win the championship and the next game to do that. But Celtics will have a final push in Boston Garden. The crowd are going to give them a big morale boost. Still up to him to make a good run in the first half and not allow GSW to have the tempo here like in game 4. GSW did manage to keep up with them, and Celtics should not choke in the last 5 minutes of the game if they have the lead. Maybe I will throw a few sats on them at handicap to extend to game 7.
Even as many analysts and NBA fans think this will end in Game 6 by a Warriors win in the Garden, the Celtics are still the favorites when it comes to our bookies. You need -4.5 to have a good profit in this.
But for those who will risk it for a Warriors win, it will be x2.40 money line. Kind of tempting to just bet for the Warriors and seal it.  Cheesy
Any room for errors is very crucial in this game and I don't think the Warriors want to prolong this series and end up being cornered in their home.
Winning on-road may not be that much fun without the support of fans but it takes off that thorn being in a stressful Game 7.

It's not that hard to speculate that the Warriors have the hand to win the game later at the TD Garden, we can somehow say that they had figured out how would the Celtics play against them and how would they react if they change tactics, their experience lets them think ahead as well as Steve Kerr. I agree, closing the series at road is not fun to celebrate because the crowd are against the Warriors but closing it earlier will benefit them more and avoid any mistakes ahead.
2258  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season - Finals on: June 15, 2022, 07:45:44 PM

Fortunately, Klay Thompson was stepping too because he knows that Curry has done so much in his shoulder in the past 4 games, now it's his turn while Curry is quite having a bad night.
Thompson had a decent game, enough for him to be able to help the team to beat a good defensive Celtics team. Poole and GPII were both very effective as well, they protected their home court and had a good 4th quarter win like what happened in game 4. Warriors now is not a 3rd quarter team anymore, they have become a 4th quarter team in the last 2 games.
They made adjustments because they already made some mistakes when they secure the 3rd quarter last time as the Celtics were still lurking in the corner waiting to take the lead if the Warriors will commit a mistake, now they are also securing the 4th quarter so that the Celtics won't suddenly chase them out of nowhere and have a good run. Wise adjustments from an experienced team.
2259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: June 15, 2022, 06:25:45 PM
-snip

Curry had a bad game but his teammates were there to carry him. Curry carried the Warriors in game 4, in game 5 it's the entire Warriors that carried him. The greatest shooter in the NBA was 0-9 in the 3 points territory, that was unbelievable.

Yes exactly. And it is really good to see when the star player of a team does not perform at his standard, his teammates come forward and win the match for them. I don't think I have seen Stephen Curry play like this in a really long time. Usually, he does not miss anything. But this day was different.

They should because they knew that Curry have carried the team in the past few games since the Finals started, he was consistent and unstoppable than even the DOTY, Marcus Smart, couldn't handle him and limit him very well. It's not that Steph Curry had a bad night but because he was heavily guarded that's why he only focused to attack inside as he couldn't do much outside because he's double teamed. As said, Thompson grabbed the chance while he's always open because the Celtics is so focused to limit Stephen Curry's production. But they still won the game though Cheesy
2260  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your NBA Champion this season? on: June 15, 2022, 05:42:28 PM
I don't like it because it means Warriors are losing game 5 and they will lose in the last game, it's not fun to watch.

You don't have to like it because the Warriors will not lose game 5, mark my words, I will bet my life savings for the Warriors in game 5 (KIDDING!). But seriously, this is the best spot to back the Warriors as they are back home and their chance to win at home is bigger than in the road.

Actually, both of them have the equal chances of winning the Game 5 later. It doesn't matter whether they play at Chase Center or TD Garden, the chances are still equal as both teams have won in both road and home games. Of course, that's not where we decide where to bet and experience will always matter and the Warriors have that. I might bet live games as I'm still undecided where should I bet because neither have won 2 games straight.

Yes that is correct but Boston really have a team that could deserve a title. GSW had it's time on my opinion and NBA needs a new fresh champ as non USA fans are kinda bored to see GSW or Lakers as champions because I've asked some guys and that was the answer. Now , back to reality a little , the best team should always win , no matter how much we will dislike that , we must be fair play and cheer for the champion.

Game 5 will be a tricky one but I just placed a bet on Celtic to win the game with GSW taking the 1st half and Curry not scoring more than 30 points... . Also , I have a feeling that whoever gonna win this game , will end up as a favorite to take it all because I can't see Celtic coming back if they loose tonight but I also cannot see GSW winning the series anymore if they lose on home court...

Well, if we will be the ones to decide who will win the title this season then for sure I would also vote for the Boston Celtics as they have been through ups and downs this season but they managed to adjust more to be more competent along the other teams in the league that's why they managed to be in the Finals because of their impressive performance. Surely nobody have expected that they could sweep the Brooklyn Nets in the 1st round and then defeat the defending champion which is Milwaukee Bucks, those feat alone makes them to deserve the championship.

But we know that is not how the NBA works as they should also play along the top teams in the league, all I can say is that they have a chance but it seems it's much lesser now because they need to clean up the last 2 games.
