2261  Economy / Economics / Re: Mining cryptos by harvesting body heat on: December 28, 2018, 05:47:42 AM
You Could Mine 1 Bitcoin Per Month If You Harvested the Body Heat from 44,000 People
Then where and how you collect that huge number of volunteers?

Anyway, thermoelectric modules or also known as TEM can definitely be used to generate electricity but with not so huge output (that's why it requires 44,000 people based on their calculation). Another factor to be considered is the Seebeck Effect, it is the opposite of Peltier Effect. It states that when a higher temperature is subjected on one of two sides of conductors, the heat will be transferred on the cooler side and results to electrical current. So in order to have a more efficient set up, your concern should not only focus on applying hot temp. but also on how will you eliminate it on the other side (might use a heat sink to do so). Acquiring the maximum heat (thermal difference) is the key not the high temp. alone.

The bottomline, it still not advisable to use TEMs on applications which requires high amount of energy since it can only be practically used for smaller ones like charging smartphones and the alike. Much more convenient if you will use other sources of renewable energy such as solar, hydro and wind for crypto mining.
2262  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betting Forum on: December 28, 2018, 04:00:53 AM
Like what other members said, I also noticed that the members of Betting Forum are quite inactive. The population there is currently 11,000+ and yet only have few discussions. Nonetheless, everything is good including the theme, interface of the website and especially on how things are categorized — the forum looks neat.

Maybe I'll join that forum in the near future, as soon as it gets more active.
2263  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Nasa $3000 na ang bitcoin, naniniwala ka bang mas bababa pa ito? on: December 28, 2018, 01:32:07 AM
Well both sides have possibilities, pwede syang tumaas at pwede rin namang bumaba pa ng todo.

See? There's always a bright side for every situation.
What?!
2264  Other / Meta / Re: About forum video posting on: December 27, 2018, 03:45:54 PM
That's not necessary, even posting images we're a bit prohibited in this forum (in a particular rank) for some instances due to graphics-heavy that affects a particular thread to fully load, then now you will try to load some videos which are much heavier? Nah..
Not only because of that. In addition, using pictures or gifs are now abused because some members here used it for trolling which is annoying (but funny sometimes) or just used it as a gateway for the sake of posting even the content is not substantial at all. What more if those shitposters are now allowed to post videos? For sure that worse things could happen.

@OP ~ I know that your intentions are nice but the consequences of your suggestion, if will be implemented, is quite disastrous.
2265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can anyone teach me? on: December 27, 2018, 01:22:57 PM
@OP ~ This is a nice advice.

I would suggest spending some time playing for fun (i.e. no money involved) for a while until you learn the basics.

Try first playing a poker game and you know what? There's no need for an instructor because the rules of it are self-explanatory, I believe that you can understand it by your own. Besides, there is google and youtube for tips and tutorials to help you. It's not good to get spoon-fed Smiley.

By the way, here is the title of games you could try: Governor of Poker 3, Zynga Poker and Pokerist: Texas Holdem Poker. Just download it in the play store.
2266  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquaio vs. Adrien Broner on: December 27, 2018, 12:34:56 PM
Yep, this will definitely bother Broner coming in with a lot of personal issues surrounding him. It's going to be a psychological advantage for Pacquiao and even if Broner's camp says that it will not affect him because they have one of the best camp, I don't believed it.
I think the opposite will happen. Broner gets more motivated in his upcoming fight because he really need to win in order to pay his debts on that jeweler Grin, he is like facing an all or nothing situation. But unfortunately, winning would be not so easy especially that he's fighting with Pacman — a legendary in the boxing industry.

Honestly, I'm less excited in this fight. I'm more excited if Manny will have a fight against Spence Jr. or Thurman. Nevertheless, I'm still willing to watch the match and make a bet in favor of Pacquiao.
2267  Economy / Economics / Re: Will BTC defeated in 2019? on: December 27, 2018, 11:22:01 AM
Crypto currency seems to cold down these days and many people have lost faith in the past few months...
If they now lost faith into it then so be it. Don't worry it will come back as soon as btc skyrockets again Roll Eyes.
Maybe it will fall into the ground due to the political factors, or beaten by other token which is better.
it can be turned down by a government of a particular country, that's all. But if we are talking about the government of all nations then it's quite impossible because of the diversity (some countries find it helpful for their economy).

When it comes to the possibility of beating by an altcoin, yeah it is possible but not this time and I think not in the near future as well. The gap in the price of btc among other alts is very huge, it is very hard to surpassed or even just to equalize since they are all move in a same manner — alt drops as btc drops, alt rises as btc rises.

Excuse me, the Bitcointalk.com you are talking about is for sale. Here is the link. Maybe you just did a small error, probably what you are pertaining about is this forum.
2269  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bounty campaigns on: December 27, 2018, 08:30:20 AM
Hi. I am looking up for trusted bounty campaigns please pop up if you know any. Thank you.
I will tell you franly that it is very hard to find signature campaigns that accept jr. Members nowadays because they now usually begin with Member and up. But if you wanna push your luck then I suggest you to get updated here. Good luck Wink.

But just a friendly advice, do not yet seek for bounty campaigns. Work first to improve your post history because I noticed that you are only active on the Beginners and Help section. You should go in the other sections, I'm sure you will learn a lot (especially in the Meta) and get interested at the same time.
2270  Other / Meta / Re: My account seyola89 permanently banned! on: December 27, 2018, 07:15:18 AM
These above phrases are amongst the most plagiarised one to say sorry, blame on plagiarism faults, which you should avoid as well.
Please remember them!
On the last column last row, does somebody who have mental health issues really aware that he had one? Lmao Grin! I think that's the most hilarious alibi (so far).
2271  Economy / Economics / Re: You cannot eat your cake and have it on: December 27, 2018, 05:19:23 AM
Most investors never learn to protect the capital, they are concentrated in trying to get as many profits as possible with their capital not understanding that the bigger the potential profits that you can get the greater the risk that you need to take and the more unlikely it is that you will get those profits, if people were to choose a more conservative approach they could make more profits and take lesser risks.
Yup, I agree with you dude. I also have friends who invested btc in the past (they're interest are gone now) which end up losing money because of failing to set their limitations. They invested on a particular price and when the market pumps a little bit they continue to hold, become greedy (Well, I don't blame them for doing that) and hoping that price will rise higher. Unluckily, the opposite happened. So they continue hodling again 'til now when their current holdings are  lesser to the money they inputted. But the good thing above those misery is that they do not panic sell, at least their money in terms of btc remain intact Grin.
2272  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Mga Tips Ni Crypto Jhin Para Makakuha Nang Merits ;D on: December 27, 2018, 03:50:26 AM
Take all of it as a challenge for you to excel.

PS: just quote the part where you want to give emphasis, not the whole post.
2273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be prepared on: December 27, 2018, 02:44:21 AM
According to Vitalik Buterin, it was “really not so far away.” (source). If it is really close then I expect it will happen before the midyear of 2019 (I hope so). For sure this (with bakkt and ETF) will create hype to gain more investors that will later on results to lively market. I can't wait for 2019 to come because there are so much things to look forward. I hope that it will be the start of bull run.

I also do not know what to expect from 2019.
If you knew to yourself that you can't handle disappointments then stop expecting, it will only stressed you out. Better for you to just keep an eye on how everything flows and make your best decision for that matter.
2274  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Bitcoin Millionaire arrested on: December 26, 2018, 02:41:34 PM
Quote
His “charitable” action
For me it is not a charitable action but being a braggart. If he really did it just for advertising then it was a wrong move (but surely an effective one) because he violated a law and if he did it for charity then not so good move again. Instead of throwing money in the air much better if he help the needy personally — much formal and sincerity can really be felt.
hope he doesn't get the maximum penalty of 12-month prison term and a fine of HK$5,000
For sure that the fine is not a problem for him at all, just the painful 12 month imprisonment. I guess he is now regretting for doing such actions.
2275  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do you search online for prices in bitcoin? on: December 26, 2018, 01:41:47 PM
I have two ways of searching crypto prices.

Everytime I want to get updated with btc's price, I simply go to the digital wallet I used and see the price. In coins.ph (the wallet i used), it has already a graph there for vivid representation including the "Sell" and "Buy" price (just got disappointed because the discrepancy between them is quite big unlike to exchages).
And on the other hand, I just use Coinmarketcap to search for other alts especially for those coins I want to buy in the future and as well as monitoring the shitcoins I already have checking if it improves though a little bit impossible Grin.
2276  Other / Meta / Re: Threats to inflict bodily harm on: December 26, 2018, 12:09:48 PM

Reported to moderator.
That's more alarming than OP's post. I think he do not deserve a report, a ban does. I don't think that his message is not a simple troll, I have a gut-feel that it's way more than that Sad. Yeah! I know the fact that everybody's identity here are hidden but if I were his enemy I will be scared too because receiving a threat is not a joke.
2277  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Thoughts about exposing ABS about bitcoin on: December 26, 2018, 10:39:58 AM
I guess so) samantalang mas significant event yun above all Undecided.

The end is that many will be scared dealing with it instead of using it. So disappointing.
2278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: December 26, 2018, 08:09:20 AM
Watching Los Angeles Lakers vs Golden State Warriors is like watching a preview of the western conference finals. Golden State Warriors is still ahead in the standings before Los Angeles Lakers, but its still too early to say that either of this two teams will be in the conference finals but I hope this 2 will again meet.
Yup! But I admit that Lakers did a great performace despite of the home court advantage of Warriors. Props to Rondo and Zubac, they also did a great job Smiley

Anyway, aren't you bored to watch again Lebron and Steph in the finals? I don't know if I'm the only one who felt this but I mean this rivalry is always competing for the trophy, there's nothing new — it doesn't excites me anymore Roll Eyes. I got now more interest to Rockets v.s. Spurs in the west and Boston v.s. Milwaukee in the east
2279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your favorite gambling movie? on: December 26, 2018, 06:37:41 AM
Does Ocean's 11 fall in this category? Anyway, I love that movie especially the part where they disguised as a SWAT team and deceived the casino owner Grin (what a witty move). Adide from that, I also enjoyed God of Gamblers. It was an old movie but a classic one which not only focuses on gambling but also action scenes.
2280  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin betting on: December 26, 2018, 05:01:39 AM
@OP ~ Since there are now recommendations above in which where you choose from, I'll just remind you that gambling is not advisable for people with small holdings. You must have a good amount of money as much as possible in order to cope with the other players. Another, make sure that your country has a regulation that allow its people to deal with online gambling sites and the wallet you're using is willing to accept funds coming from gambling. Good luck Smiley.
